I love travel. In the past there was nothing I enjoyed more than visiting a city and getting lost wandering its streets. However, during a trip to Europe in 2012, I discovered a guided walking tour and realized that it’s a much better way get to know a city. I got a quick history lesson, saw most of the best sights and was able to ask all the vital questions I had (like where to have lunch) from a local expert. It was the highlight of my trip and I began doing walking tours in every city I visited.

When I returned to Los Angeles I looked for a walking tour, but all I found were bus tours of Beverly Hills, which isn’t where the “stars” live nowadays, and Rodeo Drive, where locals like me never go. So, as a historian, traveler and lover of LA, I decided to start a new company, offering totally different tours, that would allow both visitors AND Angelenos to properly experience this amazing city and learn its fascinating history. I was also passionate about creating eco-friendly tours, to raise money for environmental causes.

The Real Los Angeles Tours launched in 2013 with one tour and I was the only guide. Since then we’ve grown a lot – we now have eight tours and ten guides and in 2020 we launched  Real San Francisco Tours . However, one thing has never changed and that’s our mission, which is to give our guests a genuine and entertaining experience of the real Los Angeles. In addition to being a guide I’m an internationally recognized clown performer and director, and Associate Artistic Director of the Clown School in LA. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but I’ve mostly been based here for the last two decades. I’ve had a number of different careers (and still do – sailing is my latest), but one of the most fun was doing sets at the Comedy Store. I’ve been a tour guide in several cities around the world, but being able to take guests to my old haunts on the Sunset Strip easily makes LA my favorite.

After a career as an actress in regional theater, film and TV, I was looking for a new direction when I met a lady who told me of her job as a tour director. I immediately asked, “how do I get that job?” She told me and I got certified as an international tour director, leading tours of the Grand Canyon, Washington DC, the Pacific Northwest and Canada, just to name a few. But when I’m back in my hometown, I love working with The Real Los Angeles Tours. These are the kind of experiences that I look for when I’m traveling, so get ready for a fabulous tour!

As someone who’s lived in five US states, and spent a couple of years in France, I’m more than just an international fugitive. It was living in Europe that provided me with the opportunity to travel to unique locales and appreciate the history, architecture, food and cultures of the world. I jumped into the travel and tourism industry in 2015, going on to lead tours throughout the western and northeastern United States, in addition to showcasing Southern California. I look forward to sharing the many highlights of Los Angeles with you.

Hi! Like many people you meet here I’m a transplant, moving to L.A. from the great state of Iowa in 2015. I got the travel bug when I was 19 years old, traveling to Italy with my best friend. Since that first excursion I’ve returned to Europe twice and backpacked around most of the continent, in addition to traveling extensively around the United States, Central and South America. Recently I visited Australia and New Zealand. I enjoy sharing my passion for travel and my love for Los Angeles with all who come on my tours.

I’m originally from the UK and majored in history at the University of London. Travel has always been one of my greatest passions and I lived in Germany, Spain and Australia, before moving to L.A. in 2008. Since then Los Angeles has become my home. I love its dynamism and multiculturalism, the many opportunities it offers, the friendly nature of most people here and, of course, the beautiful weather. In many ways the reason for starting The Real Los Angeles Tours was to give visitors the chance to fall in love with LA like I did.

I was raised trilingual (English, Danish and German) in Denmark, leaving when I was 19 years old, curious to discover the world and wanting to cross multicultural bridges. My first destination was Los Angeles and I spent five super fun years here, before leaving on more globetrotting adventures. I lived in Australia, Singapore and several European countries, but the lure of L.A. drew me back in 2011, by which time I was ready to hang up my boots. I’m always eager to share my passion for the secret spots of the city I love and call home.

Hello there! I may look like a 14 year old, but I’ve been working in tourism for over a decade. I studied acting in Chicago and after college I needed a job, so I became a tour guide. I led deep dish pizza and cupcake tours, but before long I was writing and leading architecture, history and food tours of the windy city. Then, like many actors, I moved to L.A. Movie fans will get a thrill out of Universal Studios' Studio Tour, a theme park attraction that moves tram riders around the studio backlot. Jimmy Fallon serves as your video tour guide who introduces short clips that serve to enhance the narration from your in-person guide. During the tram ride, you'll encounter the Jupiter's Claim set from "Nope," the shark from "Jaws" and other key props. Interactive experiences include watching a 3D King Kong battle a T. rex and racing alongside stars from "The Fast and the Furious" movie franchise. Both experiences are favorites of reviewers who especially enjoy the special effects. Some tour-takers feel that it is more of another theme park ride than a tour.

The remainder of the the tour is self-guided. Tour-takers can explore sets from "Friends" and "The Big Bang Theory," see numerous costumes and props (including items from the DC Universe and "Fantastic Beasts") and grab a bite to eat or a souvenir at the cafe and shop. Tourgoers rave about this tour, calling it an absolute must for movie fans.

Tours are available daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You must select a specific time slot when you book. You can upgrade your experience to a Plus or Deluxe tour, which include longer guided tours and meals.

San Francisco & Yosemite Express 3D/2N (From Los Angeles)

The tour was good, my personal preference would have been to spend more time in San Francisco, doing the iconic things like a trolley car ride and an Alcatraz tour, rather than the random stops along the way. Our tour guide was great - however, right at the end of the tour - when I reached my destination - it was not the hotel that I was informed it was going to be, and both the tour guide and the driver couldn't get out of there quick enough, so I felt stranded...luckily I had been following where we were headed on my phone's GPS, otherwise I would have been totally unprepared. That was quite disappointing...I was going to tip them both - but they literally disappeared so quickly I barely got a chance to even say goodbye. I was also disappointed, as the literature all said Yosemite park, but we didn't get there because it was winter...fair enough - but I wasn't the only one who didn't understand we weren't going there..and we felt a little deceived...my tour itinerary still said Yosemite park on it, so that is where I thought we were going....

Atleast it should be seen to it that the top 5 attractions in a city were included within the core program even if it calls for revising the core prices Wake-up alarms at hotels were not necessary as we had our own alarms and were thought to be a forceful imposed botheration ????

Golden State Getaway: 9-Day California Calling Tour to Los Angeles, Yosemite, and San Francisco

Great experience with a fun group of people. You get to see local sights and bars you might not run into travelling by yourself. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the areas we visited. There are plenty of activities to choose from with flexibility on what you want to do on some days. However, the method of getting around with public transportation in some areas (especially in the LA metro) does not feel safe. This would have been better if we had a more secure method of transportation and we could have spent more time in the locations rather than catching buses and trains. Overall though, it was a great experience and had a good time.

Country singer Zach Bryan and girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia were injured in a “horrifying” car accident but are “absolutely OK.”

According to podcast host LaPaglia — known on TikTok and YouTube as Brianna Chickenfry — the couple was in a “traumatizing side-by-side car crash” amid the “Something in the Orange” singer’s Quittin’ Time tour.

The “PlanBri Uncut” and “BFFs” host didn’t get into specifics, but said in a TikTok video posted Tuesday that the car “flipped a bunch of times,” “everything shattered,” there was a “a lot of blood” and she and Bryan “thought we were saying goodbye to each other.” She noted that they were wearing their seatbelts during the incident and that ambulances responded. LaPaglia said she had shards of glass in her body and Bryan suffered a “huge gash” and was grateful that the injury didn’t affect an artery.

LaPaglia said it was “brushed over” so that they could drive to Bryan’s next tour stop, in Arkansas, where the singer had a two-night stint at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock on Monday and Tuesday. However, he was further injured when LaPaglia’s cat bolted out of the tour bus and into the woods, with Bryan bursting his stitches chasing her.

A representative for Bryan told The Times on Thursday, “Nothing more to report!”

After getting an outpouring of support from her followers, LaPaglia responded to one comment by saying: “We are absolutely okay!!! Just horrifying in the moment!!! Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️”

The Barstool Sports podcast host said they were operating on little sleep and that she had an early start time to record her podcasts, struggling to be “chipper and happy” because of what happened.

“I was so mentally out of it,” she said. “My whole body hurts and I keep finding more bruises and scrapes.”

In a subsequent TikTok , she said that she will now be harping on people to wear seatbelts.

“I’m going to be that helicopter stupid f— annoying friend that’s like, ‘Put your seatbelt on or the car’s not moving,’” she said. “If you get anything from me ... that I’ve ever posted in my whole entire social-media career in the past five years, is wear a seatbelt. If we didn’t have our seatbelts on we would be literally decapitated, [have] broken necks or dead.”

Bryan — the raw and rootsy singer-songwriter who has self-produced his albums — has ruffled feathers in the Nashville record industry by building an enormous audience without relying on country radio for help. Embarking on his latest tour in March, the musician sweetly recognized LaPaglia on Instagram days after the incident.

“This lady holds the weight up of everyone around her day in and day out,” he wrote in an Instagram Story over a picture of LaPaglia. “Through these month long tour runs, to my degenerate ass making an album. You’re my muse Brianna and I don’t understand how the hell you hold it together when people around you can’t. Thank you forever and always no matter what.”

Childish Gambino — aka multihyphenate Donald Glover — doesn’t do anything by half, and as he promised last month , he has dropped a new version of his surprise release “ 3.15.20 ” (which quietly dropped in March 2020), under its original title “Atavista,” dates for “The New World Tour,” a massive trek through North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, launching in August. He also released a video for the album’s song “Little Foot Big Foot,” directed by Hiro Murai, featuring Young Nudy.

The loaded announcement recalls the Saturday evening in 2018 when he not only hosted “Saturday Night Live” — appearing in nearly every sketch as host and twice as musical guest — but he dropped the complex “This Is America” song and video during the show.

The album, which features songs with Ariana Grande, Summer Walker and others, has been expanded with two new tracks. Its confusing original release took place in the first days of the pandemic, when Glover quietly posted it on a website without song titles, playing on a constant loop, before removing it around 12 hours later. The following week, he officially released it without fanfare or even detailed credits on streaming services.

Arriving as it did at the very beginning of the pandemic lockdown, the album soon faded from the memories of the people who’d noticed it at all. However, based on a conversation posted last month on his Gilga Instagram platform , he released the album in that way because it was unfinished and he simply wanted it to exist in case the world ended.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, May 17 at 10am local time. Fans can also sign up for early access to tickets via the artist presale.
