कुल्लू और मनाली के मुख्य पर्यटक स्थल :

■ अत्यंत खूबसूरत, रोहतांग दर्रे - Very beautiful, Rohtang Pass :

• कुल्लू मनाली में स्थित रोहतांग पास एक बेहद सुंदर हिल स्टेशन है। यह कुल्लू बस स्टैंड से 92 किलोमीटर और मनाली से 51 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।
• रोहतांग पास में घूमने के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त समय जून से अक्टूबर का है। इस समय में पर्यटक पैराशूटिंग की भी मजा ले सकते हैं। 
• यदि आप सर्दियों के मौसम में घूमना चाहते हैं तो आपको स्नोफॉल का एक उत्तम नजारा यहां देखने को मिल सकता है।

■ स्नो पॉइंट, सोलंग घाटी - Snow Point, Solang Valley :

• सोलंग घाटी एक स्नोपाइंट है जहां पर अधिकांशतः स्पोर्ट्स और एडवेंचरस गतिविधियां आयोजित की जाती हैं। 
• यह कुल्लू से 51 किलोमीटर और मनाली से एक 4 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। यह घाटी 300 मीटर ऊंची है। 
• यहां पर होने वाली गतिविधियों में शामिल हैं- पैराशूटिंग, पैराग्लाइडिंग, ज़ोरबिंग, रोपवे, ट्रैकिंग, क्लिफ जंपिंग इत्यादि। 
• यहां पर हर साल मनाए जाने वाला विंटर स्कीम फेस्टिवल बेहद प्रसिद्ध है जिसका आयोजन जनवरी से मार्च के बीच में होता है। 
• इसके अतिरिक्त इस घाटी में एक पिकनिक स्पॉट भी मौजूद है जिसका नाम है जीपावोल रोड।

■  धार्मिक स्थल, हिडिंबा मंदिर - Religion Place Hidimba Devi Temple :

• हिडिंबा देवी का मंदिर कुल्लू मनाली की प्राचीनता को दर्शाता है। इस मंदिर का निर्माण 1533 में किया गया था। 
• हिडिंबा देवी भगवान हिडिम्ब की बहन थी। इस मंदिर की भव्यता और सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है। 
• इसमें पारंपरिक शिमला वस्तु कला की झांकी स्वतः ही देखने को मिल जाती है। 
• ऐसा माना जाता है कि इस मंदिर का निर्माण करवाने वाले राजा ने उन सभी कारीगरों के हाथ कटवा दिए जो इस मंदिर के निर्माण में शामिल थे। जिससे कि कोई दूसरा अन्य मंदिर इसकी सुंदरता की बराबरी न कर सके। 
• अतः इसकी सुंदरता के चलते यह मंदिर और भी प्रसिद्ध हो जाता है।

■ प्रसिद्ध,  तिब्बती मठ - Famous Tibetan Monasteries :

• हिमाचल प्रदेश, यह संपूर्ण राज्य इतिहास से ही तिब्बती प्रांत के लोगों के लिए एक आश्रय स्थल रहा है। इसके चलते यहां की संस्कृति भी तिब्बती संस्कृति से काफी प्रभावित हुई है।
• इसके चलते यहां पर कई सारे बौद्ध मठ विस्थापित हुए हैं। इनमें से अधिकांश बौद्ध मठ कुल्लू मनाली में मौजूद हैं। कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बौद्ध मठ हैं- बुद्धिस्ट मॉनेस्ट्री, हिमालयन नियंनमापा, तिब्बतन बुद्धिस्ट मॉनेस्ट्री, वन नगरी मोनास्ट्री इत्यादि। 
• इनमें से कई बौद्ध मठ तो आज होटल और रेस्तरां के रूप में तब्दील कर दिए गए हैं जबकि कुछ आज भी उसी पारंपरिक बौद्ध मठ का रूप धारण किए हुए हैं जिस रूप में वह निर्मित किए गए थे। 
• अतः पर्यटक यहां आकर स्वतः ही बौद्ध और तिब्बती माहौल को अनुभव कर पाएंगे।

■ पवित्र, व्यास नदी - Beas River :

• कुल्लू मनाली की व्यास नदी एक बेहद पवित्र नदी मानी जाती है। यह 470 किलोमीटर लंबी नदी है। 
• पंजाब की पांच प्रमुख नदियों में से एक नदी व्यास नदी भी है। 
• इस नदी का पुराना नाम विपाशा अथवा अर्जीकिया भी था। 
• मनाली से शुरू होती यह नदी, कुल्लू में व्यास कुंड से जा मिलती है। यह व्यास कुंड, महाभारत के रचयिता ऋषि व्यास के नाम पर जाना जाता है। 
• ऐसा माना जाता है कि महर्षि व्यास ने यहां पर आकर स्नान किया था। 
• व्यास नदी के इस कुंड के संबंध में यह धारणा प्रचलित है कि यहां पर स्नान करने से त्वचा संबंधी सभी रोग दूर हो जाते हैं।

• विश्व की कई लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियां हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क का हिस्सा है। 
• इस नेशनल पार्क में 300 से भी अधिक स्थानिक और विदेशी वनस्पति एवं जीव शामिल हैं। 
• इस नेशनल पार्क में चार घाटियां मौजूद हैं 
• साथ ही यहां पर 30 स्तनधारी प्रजातियां भी पाई जाती हैं। 
• विश्व का बेहद प्राचीन विलुप्त प्राय पक्षी वेस्ट ट्रगोपन भी हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क में ही पाया जाता है।

• गुलाबा, कुल्लू मनाली का बेहद प्रसिद्ध गांव है। यह मनाली से 27 किलोमीटर और रोहतांग पास से  25 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। 
• इस गांव का निर्माण नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल के तहत बनवाया गया था। 
• इसका निर्माण पर्यटन की सभी सुविधाओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए ही करवाया गया। 
• इस गांव का नाम गुलाबा कश्मीर के राजा गुलाब सिंह के नाम पर रखा गया है। 
• यह गांव एक लुभावने बर्फीले क्षेत्र के रूप में बेहद प्रसिद्ध है। 
• यहां पर आकर पर्यटक कई स्पोर्ट्स गतिविधियां कर सकते हैं जिनमें बाइकिंग और स्नो स्कूटर राइडिंग शामिल हैं। तो एक अदभुत और रोमांचक सफर के लिए गुलाब कुल्लू मनाली का यह गांव बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बन जाता है।

■  हिंदुओं और सिखों का एक महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थ स्थल, मणिकरण -  Important Pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Shikh - Manikaran :

• विश्व का सर्वाधिक प्राचीन झरना मणिकरण, कुल्लू मनाली में ही स्थित है। यह गर्म पानी का एक बेहद अद्भुत झरना है जो पार्वती नदी के बाएं ओर से बहता है। 
• दुनिया भर से हिंदू और सिख श्रद्धालु इस झरने को देखने आते हैं। 
• यहां पर नानक जी का एक गुरुद्वारा भी स्थित है जिसका निर्माण 1940 में बाबा नारायण हर जी ने बनवाया था। यह गुरुद्वारा अपने अद्भुत स्थापत्य कला के लिए जाना जाता है।

■  हिमालय में छिपा एक मणि, कसोल - A gem hidden away in the Himalayas - Kasol :

• कसोल कुल्लू मनाली की शान समझा जाता है। यह एक गांव है जो घाटी के पास स्थित है। 
• यहां पर बाइकिंग जैसी रोमांचक  गतिविधियां उपलब्ध हैं। 
• इस गांव से ग्लेशियर और पर्वत श्रृंखलाओं का नजारा बहुत ही अद्भुत और लुभावना लगता है। 
• कसोल जैसे गांव में आकर पर्यटक यहां की ऊंची ऊंची चोटियों का सुहावना दृश्य देख सकते हैं।

■  मनु ऋषि को समर्पित मनु मंदिर - Dedicated to sage manu - Manu Temple :

• यह मंदिर व्यास नदी के तट पर स्थित है। मनाली हिल स्टेशन का नाम मनु के आधार पर ही रखा गया है। 
• पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार मनाली को मनु अल्लाया के नाम से भी जाना जाता था जिसका अर्थ है मनु का निवास स्थान। 
• ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस जगह पर मनु ने अपना पहला कदम रखा था। 
• इसी मंदिर में मनु ने अपने जीवन के 7 चक्र बिताए। इस मंदिर तक पहुंचने का रास्ता थोड़ा जटिल हैं। पर्यटकों को फिसलने वाले पत्थरों से होकर यहां पहुंचना पड़ता है। 
• इस मंदिर में आकर पर्यटक एक पौराणिक आस्था का माहौल पा सकते हैं

■ भगवान शिव को समर्पित बागेश्वर महादेव मंदिर - Dedicated to lord Shiv- Bageshwar Mahadev Temple :

• बागेश्वर महादेव का मंदिर शिव को समर्पित करते हुए निर्मित किया गया है। 
• यह कुल्लू का बेहद लोकप्रिय स्थल है। यह मंदिर समुद्र स्तर से 2450 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है।
• ऐसा माना जाता है कि यहां पर स्थित शिवलिंग एक दफा बिजली की वजह से कई टुकड़ों में टूट गई थी। उसके बाद यहां के पुजारियों ने उन टुकड़ों को एकत्र कर मक्खन की मदद से जोड़ा। 
• इस ऐतिहासिक दिन को हर वर्ष एक समारोह के रूप में मनाया जाता है। 
• इस मंदिर की स्थापत्य शैली अद्भुत है, यह मंदिर हिमालयन वस्तु कला का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। पहाड़ों पर स्थित होने के चलते इस मंदिर तक पहुंचने का रास्ता थोड़ा कठिन है और मजेदार भी। 

■  सुल्तानपुर पैलेस - Sultanpur Palace :

• सुल्तानपुर पैलेस को रूप पैलेस के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। यह कुल्लू का एक शानदार महल है जो 1905 में भूकंप की वजह से इस महल का मूल रूप नष्ट हो चुका था। बाद में इसको उसी मूल रूप में दोबारा निर्मित करने का प्रयास किया गया।
• औपनिवेशिक काल में निर्मित होने के चलते इसकी स्थापत्य कला औपनिवेशिक स्थापत्य कला से मेल खाती है। यह किसी यूरोपीय महल से कम अद्भुत नहीं लगता।

■  वशिष्ठ गांव - Vashishth village :

• यह गांव व्यास नदी के तट पर स्थित है। यह मनाली से 3 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर मौजूद है। 
• यह गांव सल्फर के सोते के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। 
• ऐसा माना जाता है कि श्री लक्ष्मण जी ने यहां तीर चला कर सोते बनाए थे। 
• पुरुष और महिलाओं के लिए यहां पर पवित्र स्नान की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है। इस गांव में मौजूद है दो मंदिर - भगवान राम और ऋषि वशिष्ठ के।

■ जगन्नाथ देवी का मंदिर - JAGANNATH DEVI TEMPLE :

• 1500 साल पुराना यह जगन्नाथ देवी का मंदिर भुवनेश्वर देवी की आराधना हेतु निर्मित करवाया गया था।
• जगन्नाथ देवी अथवा भुवनेश्वर देवी विष्णु भगवान की बहन थी। 
• मनाली का यह एक बेहद प्राचीन धार्मिक स्थल है जिसके दर्शन करने दूर-दूर से पर्यटक आया करते हैं।

■ नग्गर - NAGGAR IN HINDI :

• यह कभी कुल्लू की पुरानी राजधानी हुआ करती थी। 
• व्यास नदी के बाएं ओर यह स्थित है, इसका निर्माण राजा विशुद्ध पाल द्वारा करवाया गया था। 
• यहां पर एक बेहद प्राचीन किला है जो अब होटल के रूप में तब्दील कर दिया गया है। पश्चिमी हिमालय की वस्तु शैली का यह एक अकेला अद्भुत उदाहरण है।

दूर पहाड़ों में स्थित होने के चलते कुल्लू मनाली में कोई रेलवे स्टेशन अभी तक नहीं बना है। सबसे नजदीकी रेलवे स्टेशन हैं- जोगिंदरनगर और पठानकोट। पठानकोट कुल्लू से 285 किलोमीटर और जोगिंदरनगर 126 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। इसके अलावा पर्यटकों की सुविधा के लिए शिमला और कालका जी  रेलवे स्टेशन भी उपलब्ध है। वहां पहुंचकर आगे सड़क मार्ग के जरिए कुल्लू मनाली पहुंच सकते हैं।

10. मणिकरण साहिब (Manikaran Sahib)

15. भृगु झील (Bhrigu Lake)

भृगु झील पर रिवर राफ्टिंग (River rafting) और अन्य वॉटर स्पोर्ट्स गतिविधियां (water sports activities) कर सकते है। यह स्थान ऋषि भृगु के कारण प्रसिद्ध है जिन्होंने यहाँ ध्यान किया था। यहाँ पर आप को आरामदायक जूते पहेन कर आना होगा नहीं तो यहाँ पर चलने मे परेशानी हो सकती है।

16. तिब्बती मठ (Tibetan Monastery)

कुल्लू मनाली बौद्ध धर्म प्रमुख है, इसीलिए आपको यहाँ बौद्ध मंदिर और तिब्बती मठ आसानी से मिल जाएंगे जो पूरी तरह से बौद्ध धर्म का संदेश देते हैं। सभी तिब्बती मठों में गधान थिकोक्‍क्‍लिंग गोम्‍पा (Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa) और न्यिंग्मपा गोम्‍पा (Nyingmapa Gompa) पूरी तरह से प्रमुख हैं। इन मठों का निर्माण सदियों पहले तिब्बती शरणार्थियों द्वारा किया गया था। अगर आप बौद्ध धर्म की संस्कृति की गहराई से झलक देखना चाहते हैं तो आपको अवश्य जाना चाहिए। आपको मठों में एक अलग प्रकार का सुकून मिलेगा जो शांति, आध्यात्मिकता और दिव्यता का एक अलग तरीके से प्रचार करते हैं।

17. मलाणा गांव (Malana Village)

19. कोठी गांव (Kothi Village)

जो लोग कुल्लू मनाली को अलग तरह से एक्सप्लोर करना चाहते हैं, वे कोठी गांव की यात्रा जरूर करें। जगह का हर कोना कल्पना और ढेर सारी मस्ती से भरा है। ये शांतिपूर्ण गांव आपको नई मनाली की हलचल से दूर रखता है। यहाँ पर ट्रेकिंग कर सकते है और इसमें कई भूतापीय झरने भी हैं।

20. पंडोह बांध (Pandoh Dam)

पंडोह बांध पहाड़ियों के बीच में स्थित है और इसके चारों ओर घना जंगल है। आप आसानी से लुभावने नज़ारों तक पहुँच सकते हैं और अपने मनाली पर्यटन को जीवन भर के लिए यादगार बना सकते हैं। बांध शहर में पनबिजली उत्पादन के लिए प्रमुख महत्व रखता है।

21. ग्रेट हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क (Great Himalayan National Park)

ग्रेट हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क अपने वन्य जीवन और ट्रेकिंग गतिविधियों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। अगर आप भारतीय हैं तो आप 100 रुपये में टिकट खरीद सकते हैं। विदेशियों को 400 रुपये का शुल्क देना होगा। अगर आप फोटोग्राफी के उद्देश्य से वन्यजीव अभ्यारण्य का दौरा कर रहे हैं, तो आपको अपनी जेब थोड़ी और खाली करनी होगी। राष्ट्रीय उद्यान 24 घंटे खुला रहता है लेकिन इसे देखने का सबसे अच्छा समय सुबह 10 बजे से शाम 5:30 बजे के बीच है। यूनेस्को द्वारा विश्व धरोहर स्थल के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त, ग्रेट हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए एक स्वर्गीय अनुभव है। आप यहां अपराजेय विविधता के साथ बहुत सारी वनस्पतियां और जीव-जंतु देख सकते हैं। यहाँ जानवरों की 375 से अधिक किस्में हैं जो अभयारण्य में मौजूद हैं जिनमें से कई लुप्तप्राय हैं।

22. बशेश्वर महादेव मंदिर (Basheshwar Mahadev Temple)

बशेश्वर महादेव मंदिर भगवान शिव मंदिर को समर्पित कुल्लू मनाली में आध्यात्मिकता जगाने का एक और स्थान है। कुल्लू बस स्टैंड से लगभग 16 किमी दूर स्थित, पहाड़ी शैली में निर्मित यह मंदिर मूर्तियों और आकर्षक बाहरी सजावट के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।

23. गुलाबा (Gulaba)

मनाली अभयारण्य की अद्भुत हरियाली निश्चित रूप से एक बार फिर कुल्लू मनाली आने का कारण बनेगी। शहर के केंद्र से सिर्फ 2 किमी दूर स्थित वन्यजीव अभयारण्य लगभग 3100 हेक्टेयर में फैला हुआ है। यह 1954 में स्थापित किया गया था और इसमें बहुत सारे जंगली जानवर हैं। आप जंगल में उड़ने वाली लोमड़ी (Flying Fox), बार्किंग हिरण (Barking deer), कस्तूरी मृग, (Musk deer), उड़ने वाली गिलहरी (Flying Squirrels) और कई अन्य जानवरों को आसानी से देख सकते हैं। देवदार और देवदार के पेड़ मुख्य रूप से पूरे क्षेत्र को कवर करते है। मनाली अभयारण्य का आनंद लेने के लिए सर्दी का समय सही रहता है।

मनाली की Mall Road खरीदारी के लिए बहुत ही प्रसिद्ध है। यह बाजार सर्दियों के कपड़ो के लिए प्रसिद्द है जहाँ बिभिन्न प्रकार के ठंडियों में पहने जाने वाले कपडे मिल जाते है और यह मार्किट थोड़ा महंगा भी है, लेकिन यहाँ आपको अपने चाहने वालों के लिए गिफ्ट आइटम काफी बढ़िया मिल जाएंगे। मॉल रोड मपर खाने-पीने के ढेर सारे स्वादिष्ट विकल्प मिल जायेंगे।

दिसंबर से मार्च: यह समय कुल्लू मनाली में ठंडा और बर्फीला होता है। अगर आप बर्फबारी (Snow Fall) का आनंद लेना चाहते है तो इस समय यहां आ सकते हैं। इस दौरान यहाँ भृगु झील और ब्यास कुंड पर स्नो टेकिंग कर सकते हैं, स्कीइंग कर सकते हैं, और हिडिम्बा मंदिर देख सकते हैं।

अप्रैल से जून: यह समय में भारी संख्या में पर्यटक यहां आते हैं। इन महीनों मे भारत के अन्य हिस्सो मे गर्मी पड़ती है और स्कूल मे भी छुट्टीयां होती है। इसलिए लोग यहाँ काफी संख्या मे परिवार के साथ घूमने आते हैं। इस समय रोहतांग दर्दा और सोलंग वैली घूम सटे है, ब्यास नदी में राफ्टिंग कर सकते हैं, हंप्टा और टिब्बा दर्रे जैसे उच्च मार्गों पर ट्रेकिंग कर सकते हैं।

कुल्लू मनाली कैसे पहुंचें – How To Reach Kullu Manali

कुल्लू मनाली भारत के प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थलों मेसे एक है, इसलिए यहां दिल्ली से ट्रेन, बस या हवाई जहाज द्वारा पहुंचने की सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं।

हवाई जहाज से (By Flight): यहां का सबसे करीबी हवाई अड्डा भुंतर है, ये मनाली से लगभग 50 किमी दूर है और कुल्लू से 10 किमी दूर है । हवाई जहाज की सेवाएं दिल्ली, चंडीगढ़, शिमला और लेह से भुंतर तक उपलब्ध हैं।

ट्रेन से (By Train): कुल्लू मनाली एक पहाड़ी क्षेत्र है इसीलिए यहाँ कोई रेलवे स्टेशन नहीं है। लेकिन आप दिल्ली से जोगिंदर या पठानकोट पहोच सकते है। जोगिन्दरनगर से कुल्लू की दूरी लगभग 126 किमी है और पठानकोट से लगभग 285 किमी और।

रोड से (By Road): नई दिल्ली से रोजाना वॉल्वो बसे चलती है इन बस के जरिये आप कुल्लू मनाली पहोच सकते है या आप देलही से कैब भी बूक कर सकते हैं। दिल्ली से कुल्लू मनाली की दूरी 522 किमी है, और ज़्यादातर पर्यटक दिल्ली से कुल्लू मनाली रोड से आना पसंद करते है।

Both Kullu and Manali, top tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh, seem to outdo the other in their scenic magnificence and opportunities for sightseeing & adventure. Kullu, the town believed to be apt for the gods, pleasantly surprises the visitor with the diversity it offers. In Manali, what you see is what you get, raw beauty with serenity, the likes of which you may have only dreamt about.

There are many things to see in Kullu, like the Great Himalayan National Park. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which houses a rich variety of wildlife. Several of these are classified as endangered, including Himalayan Brown Bear, Blue Sheep and Snow Leopard. Spotting of Monal and Western Tragopan is not uncommon. Trekking and outdoor camping are also pursued enthusiastically in the park.

Manikaran is another place to see in Kullu which is most famous for its gurudwara. Here, the hot sulphur springs are believed to contain therapeutic properties. Kasol, fondly referred to as mini-Israel for attracting Israelis in large numbers, allures more than its fair share of honeymooners, while the village of Malana has that ancient look to it. Banjar, located almost 2 hours away from Kullu, affords a lot of opportunities in angling, thanks to River Tirthan and its pure as crystal waters. At about the same distance lies Shoja, a valley wrapped in contemplative silence and undisturbed beauty, and truly meditator’s paradise. Another place which you should visit during your trip to Kullu is Jalori Pass. From here, you can take a day hike to Serolsar Lake.

Adventure enthusiasts also find a lot to celebrate in Kullu. Battling the rapids while white water rafting on River Beas is fun, as is camping in Raison, surrounded by peach, plum and apple orchards. Hike towards the Bijli Mahadev Temple though, where lovely views of the Kullu Valley await you. Inside the temple is a Shiva Linga, which, besides being pillar shaped, is held together with butter. Every year, fiery bolts of lightning destroy this pillar, until it is rebuilt by the priests with butter.

Manali is another top tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh, popular both among honeymooners and vacationers. This quaint town shows you how to have a good time. It is hugged by the valley, which itself is covered with pine forests, streams and perpetually snow-covered peaks. There are as many opportunities for adventure as sightseeing, besides a third one, which is enjoying the lovely landscape and doing nothing.

The greatest tourist attraction though, is Rohtang Pass. About 51 km from Manali, it is the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti, and offers a chance to enjoy activities like paragliding , skiing and trekking. Along the way, you are treated to views of waterfalls, pastures and streams. The tired eyes and the fatigued mind rejoice at such beautiful sights.

However, it should be remembered that you will have to obtain a special permit for visiting Rohtang Pass. During the winters, it wears a white coat, with fir trees acting as its embroidery. During the summers, it discards it, and replaces it with an easily flowing green garment. That’s Solang Valley for you, located about 13 km from Manali and a magnificent place to see in Himachal Pradesh. A variety of adventure activities can be enjoyed, from zorbing to a ropeway ride. Come winters, and skiing is all the rage, with state and national level ski championships being held regularly.

Another tourist attraction in Manali is the Hadimba Devi Temple , a four tier pagoda style wood and stone structure which is believed to contain the imprints of Hadimba Devi. You could also head to Naggar, located about 22 km from Manali. It served as the capital of the principality before it was shifted to Kullu in 1660 AD. There are many monuments here that remind you of its glorious past, including a 500 year old castle. Nowadays, it functions as a museum and heritage hotel. Vashisht Village is famous, as is the Bhrigu Lake , which is believed to be the meditation spot of Sage Bhrigu.

Other places to see during your Kullu Manali tour are Nehru Kund, Jagat Sukh Village, Manali Wildlife Sanctuary and Mountaineering Institute. If a little bit of sightseeing is all that you need, there are other ways to enjoy yourself. You can hang around at The Mall, explore the bazaar for some travel souvenirs, woolens and Himachali handloom products or head towards Old Manali, which is much more quieter than New Manali. बिजली महादेव मंदिर.

शंकर भगवान का यह मंदिर कुल्लू जिले का सबसे फेमस मंदिर हैं। इस मंदिर को बनाने के लिए काश शेली का प्रयोग किया गया हैं। मंदिर के अंदर शिवलिंगम स्थापित हैं। शंकर जी को समर्पित यह मंदिर पहाड़ी और कई रहस्मयी, चमत्कारिक से गिरा हुआ हैं, जो पहाड़ी के उपर हैं।

पहाड़ी के नीचे एक खूबसूरत गांव हैं। गांव का नाम बिजली महादेव मंदिर हैं क्योंकि यह मंदिर के पास में ही स्थित हैं। इस कारण से इसको बिजली महादेव मंदिर के नाम से भी जानते हैं।

इस मंदिर के बारे में यहां के लोग और पुजारी बताते है कि प्रत्येक 12 वर्ष के बाद इस मंदिर के अंदर रखे शिवलिंग पर बिजली गिरती हैं, जिससे शिवलिंग टूट जाता हैं।

लेकिन यहां के पुजारी माखन के द्वारा शिवलिंग को जोड़ देते हैं। ऐसा करने से शिवलिंग उसी प्रकार से जुड़ जाता हैं। यदि आपको कुल्लू में घूमने के लिए आना चाहते हैं तो आप इस रहस्यमई मंदिर देखने के लिए जरूर आएं।

यह कुल्लू का सबसे प्रमुख और आकर्षक स्थल हैं। यहां पर रहने वाले लोग और घूमने के लिए आने वाले पर्यटक पिकनिक मनाने के लिए आते हैं। कुल्लू घाटी के पास स्थित कैसरधर जगह पर्यटकों के घूमने के लिए सबसे अच्छी जगह हैं।

हनोगी माता मंदिर

कुल्लू का प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक मंदिर हैं। हनोगी माता मंदिर जो कि एक चोटी सी पहाड़ी पर स्थित हैं। कुल्लू जिले के आस पास की सभी जगहों में सबसे प्रमुख हानोगी माता का मंदिर हैं।

धार्मिक जगह होने के कारण पर्यटकों का आना जाना लगा रहता हैं। इसके अलावा पहाड़ी की चोटी से आप सनसेट व्यू का भी लुफ्त उठा सकते हैं।

चंद्रखनी पास

कुल्लू का यह प्रसिद्ध दर्रा या पास ट्रेक मार्गो के लिए जाना जाता हैं। यह दर्रा 13,500 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित हैं। पहाड़ी पर जाने के बाद आप हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य की अन्य प्रमुख पहाड़ियों को भी देख सकते हैं।

यदि आप इस जगह पर घूमना जाना चाहते है तो गर्मी और सर्दी के मौसम में कभी भी जा सकते हैं। चंद्रखनी दर्रा को देखने पर आपका मन और भी ज्यादा प्रसन्न हो जायेगा।

वैष्णो देवी मंदिर

माता वैष्णो देवी का मंदिर कुल्लू जिले के अंदर बना हुआ हैं। आप इस मंदिर को मिनी वैष्णो देवी मंदिर के नाम से भी जान सकते हैं। माता वैष्णो का यह मंदिर व्यास नदी के तट पर बना हुआ हैं।

मंदिर के पास में ही आपको विशाल जंगल, पहाड़ियां, सेब के बाग आदि खूबसूरत नजारे देखने को मिलेंगे। वैष्णो देवी जाने के लिए आपको मनाली से सिर्फ 2 किमी की दूरी तय करनी होगी। माता के मंदिर में बड़ी सी प्रतिमा स्थापित हैं।

इसके अलावा बाहर के परिसर में भगवान शंकर की प्रतिमा स्थापित हैं। यदि आप कुल्लू में घूमने के लिए जाए तो आप मिनी माता वैष्णो देवी मंदिर के दर्शन जरूर करें।

यह जगह मनाली के पास में स्थित हैं, जो कि सैर करने के लिए काफी प्रसिद्ध हैं। इसके आस पास कई सारे प्राचीन मंदिर बने हुए हैं। यदि आपको रिवर राफ्टिंग करनी है तो पास में ही बहने वाली व्यास नदी में आप जा सकते हैं। यह राज्य का प्रमुख हिल स्टेशन में से एक हैं।

सुल्तानपुर पैलेस

भूकंप आने के कारण यह सुंदर पैलेस बेकार हो गया था। लेकिन बाद में इस पैलेस को पेंटिंग और पहाड़ी शैली के इस पैलेस को नई डिजाइन किया गया था।

इस पैलेस का नाम रूपी पैलेस था। मनाली से इस पैलेस की दूरी करीब 15 किमी की हैं। पैलेस तक जाने में आप कैब आदि को बुक करके जा सकते हैं।

फ्रेंडशिप पीक

हिमाचल प्रदेश में सबसे अधिक ट्रेकिंग इसी पहाड़ी पर की जाती हैं, जो कि 5,289 किमी की ऊंचाई पर स्थित हैं। ट्रेकिंग करने वाले लोग इस जगह पर स्वर्ग का अनुभव करते हैं। फ्रेंडशिप पीक सोलांग घाटी से होकर जाता हैं।

सोलांग घाटी के बारे में तो आपको पता होगा कि इस घाटी में घने जंगल, रंगीन बाग और बड़े-बड़े अल्पाइन घास के मैदान बने हुए हैं। फ्रेंडशिप पीक की सबसे ऊंची चोटी पर जाने पर आपका मन प्रसन्न हो जायेगा।

हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य का एक छोटा सा गांव हैं। लेकिन इसकी प्राकृतिक सुंदरता दूर-दूर तक फेमस हैं। जो पर्यटक प्रकृति के नजारे का आनंद लेना चाहते हैं, वो इस जगह पर जरूर आए। इस प्यारे से गांव में आप ट्रैकिंग और कैंपिंग का भी लुफ्त ले सकते हैं।

रुकने के लिए दो वीआईपी होटल बने हुए हैं। पहले के समय यह महल हुआ करते थे। इसके अलावा एक पुराना संग्रहालय और गर्म पानी का झरना आपको नग्गर में देखने के लिए मिल जाएगा। हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य में घूमने आने पर आप इस जगह पर जरूर जाए।

भृगु ऋषि के नाम पर इस झील का नाम रखा गया था। इस झील के बारे में कहा जाता हैं कि महर्षि भृगु इस झील के पास ध्यान लगाया करते थे। यहां के लोगों के अनुसार झील को पूल ऑफ गॉड्स के नाम से भी जानते हैं।

देवताओं ने झील के पानी में डुबकी लगाई थी। बर्फ बारी के दौरान इस झील का पानी जम नहीं पाता हैं। आप रोहतांग दर्रे में घूमने के लिए जाते है तो आप इस जगह पर भी जा सकते हैं, जो दर्रे के पूर्व में स्थित हैं।

कुल्लू के यह धार्मिक झील गुलाबा गांव से करीब 6 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित हैं। आप अपने दोस्तों, रिश्तेदार और परिवारजनों के साथ घूमने के लिए आ सकते हैं।

मणिकरण साहिब

यह हिंदू धर्म और सिख धर्म के प्रमुख तीर्थ स्थल हैं, जो पार्वती नदी के किनारे बसा हुआ हैं। मणिकरण साहिब के पास में ही गर्म पानी के झरने और खूबूसरत वातावरण लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता हैं।

सिखों का प्रसिद्ध गुरुद्वारा और प्रमुख तीर्थ स्थल हैं। यदि आप इस धार्मिक स्थल पर जाना चाहते है तो आप मनाली से आ सकते हैं। मनाली से मणिकरण साहिब तक की दूरी 24 किमी की हैं। यहां से आप बस या फिर कैब आदि को बुक कर के जा सकते हैं।

खीरगंगा हिमाचल का प्रसिद्ध झरना हैं। खीरगंगा में आप हिमालय के पहाड़ों के गर्म झरने और प्रकृति नजारे देखने की प्रमुख जगह हैं। सबसे अच्छी बात इस जगह की यह है कि आप यहां पर कई प्रकार के एडवेंचर कर सकते हैं।

खीरगंगा चारों तरफ से घने जंगल से घिरा हुआ हैं, जहां पर आप कैपिंग, नेचर वाकिंग, माउंटेन क्लाइंबिंग आदि कर सकते हैं। सूर्यास्त के समय यहां का मौसम काफी सुहावना रहता हैं, जो पर्यटकों को काफी आकर्षित करता हैं। आप अपने दोस्तों, परिवार और रिश्तेदार के साथ घूमने के लिए जा सकते हैं।

तीर्थंन घाटी

यदि आप किसी ऐसी जगह पर जाना चाहते है, जहां पर आपको शांति प्राप्त हो सके तो आप हिमाचल प्रदेश की तीर्थंन घाटी में घूमने के लिए जा सकते हैं। यहां के बहुत हुई नदियों, झीलों और ग्रेट हिमालयन नेशनल पार्क के नजारे आपको बार-बार तीर्थन घाटी में जाने के लिए मजबूर कर देंगे।

Manali does not have an airport. The nearest airport to Manali is Bhuntar in Kullu which is about 50 km away. This airport operates domestic flights connecting to Delhi and Chandigarh. Taxi/cab and bus services are available to Manali. This is the least popular way to reach Manali, owing to adverse weather conditions and high altitude

To reach Manali by bus,  Himachal Road Transport Corporation  (HRTC) provides regular services, including Volvo and regular buses connecting all major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ambala and Jaipur. There are private bus operators as well to make the services more convenient and accessible.

Reaching Manali by road is a preferred option for tourists since it lets them enjoy picturesque views and pleasant weather. Most visitors prefer self-drive cars since it offers the privacy and flexibility to stop anywhere for quick selfie or grab some snacks.

Route from delhi.

The distance between Manali and Delhi is about 536 km. The route goes through Chandigarh, Bilaspur, and Mandi, and the time required to travel is about 10 to 12 hours. New Delhi to Manali roads run on NH-1 and NH-21 highways. Roads are good in shape and pure bliss to drive.

Route From Chandigarh

From Chandigarh, Manali is at a distance of 300 km and it could take anywhere between 6 to 8 hours to reach Manali. The route from Chandigarh to Manaligoes through NH-21, from Ropar, Bilaspur, and Mandi. There is another route called as NH-21A, which goes via Nalagarh, Swarghat, and Bilaspur. This route should be avoided because of bad road conditions

Relating directly to the first Guru and founder of the belief of Sikhism, Guru Nanak, the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara is a place of pilgrimage. Solang Valley

Jogni Waterfalls

Hidimba Temple

With its importance and relevance dating back to the Mahabharata age, the Hidimba Devi Temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bhima of the epic. Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
