Don’t miss this awesome opportunity for fun! Our guides were fantastic and the trip a blast. You tube through a plantation in irrigation tunnels and canals that were hand dug in the late 1800’s. It was loads of fun, interesting and worth the trip. A great way to spend a few hours! Don’t wonder, just do this adventure.

My husband and I joined Johnny and his team (sorry I don't remember everyone's names) for a tubing ride. The drive up, the tubing itself, and then the ride back was amazing. Johnny was so nice and such a people person! It was amazing and the views are to die for, oh and the water is very refreshing! I HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent tour from beginning to end. Right from the booking to the actual excursion. First time in Kauai and will return just for this tour so fun and worth it!!!! A must in Kauai....

So much fun and would highly recommend it. It was our first time to Kauai and this excursion along with our guides who were extremely funny, left a memorable impression with our family. My son is 6 years old and absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back this year. There aren't words to express how everyone was so nice and helpful there. We have recommended this to everyone!!! Life changer!

A unique and fun experience, for sure! Our hosts guided us all the way, complete with ukelele accompaniment, as we floated the canal through hillside and tunnels. Lots of tunnels. Great fun all the way!

Going underneath the tunnels and learning a little bit of history while you're on the tour. I highly suggest you have a GoPro or an underwater camera with you to get your own pictures. They take your pictures professionally too but have to purchase them thru the kiosk there. Guides are great. I highly suggest this activity for any local or tourist.

As a fellow guide on the island, I highly recommend the tubing ride to all visitors! Great experience from check in to the entire adventure. All the staff and guides were amazing and entertaining. Mahalo for such a great adventure and keep up the good work.

The guides were awesome, funny and very knowledgeable of the island. The actual tubing adventure was like nothing we have ever experienced. It was non stop fun the entire time and gives you a glimpse of the island you wouldn't see other wise. We would hands down recommend this tour!!

We made the decision to fly over from Honolulu for the day and do the Tubing. It was a great day out, the staff was friendly and very helpful. From the preparation time at base, the bus ride up the mountain, the tubing adventure and lunch, the staff kept us in fits of laughter and relaxed all day. This experience was better than I was expecting and became the highlight of our holiday. Thanks, Guys!

This is our first Zipline experience. Both my wife and myself enjoyed it very much. It is the highlight of our trip so far. Drake and Kevin did a good job keeping us alive and excited. Highly recommended!

Knowledgeable guides Malachi and Alex made this an excellent experience. Loved the fact that it was extra muddy! Beautiful views and a good cross-section of the environments of Kauai.

You HAVE to do this tour, it was a beautiful and educational tour and so much more in all the best ways. Alex and Malikai were incredible tour guides, funny, nice and knowledgeable. We had the time of our lives and highly recommend this to see the beauty of south Kauai.

Malakai and Mana were the best guides. We had the most badass time and learned so much about the island. Highly recommend, beautiful views and very cool information as well! You will get dirty but it’s all part of the adventure.

Brianna and Jordan were the best tour guides. Very informative and told us a lot about the local way of life. Got dirty on every part of the tour. It did help that it was raining on the first leg. Lots of mud and puddles. Will definitely do this tour again. They are by far the best ATV tour on Kauai.

This was a highlight of our trip! The equipment was newer and our tour guide Austin was the best tour guide we have ever had. Funny, knowledgeable and patient! We loved the ride and the stops. Pretty views. Be prepared it is bumpy and you do get dirty!

What a fun experience this was!! My new wife and I came to Kauai for our honeymoon and knew this was something we wanted to do, but Jordan and Ian made it so much better then we expected. Not only was driving around the Razr fun, the fun island knowledge and facts that both the guys gave us was an added bonus. This might be something we have to do on our anniversary trip back!

Awesome dirty fun! Fun for the whole family. We had 11 of us. Everyone had a great time and our tour guides, Alex & Jordan, were personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Do something dirty today!!!

A really fun and exciting excursion! We were so grateful we did it! We got so dirty but it was totally worth it! We loved seeing the gorgeous beach and the tunnel and the reservoir was amazing! Our awesome guys Austin and Mana gave such a cool tour and provided us with lots of interesting background information on all our stuff. Definitely got dirty but would 10/10 recommend on your trip to Kauai.

Why should you trust us?  We’ve spent several hours researching and gathering consumer feedback on the best zipline tours in Hawaii and Kauai, but most importantly, we’ve tested most of the tours on the island. We know all about the thrills, the views, and the operators that make these experiences memorable.

Without further ado, let’s dive into our top zipline tours in Kauai!

1. AdrenaLine Kauai Zipline Tour (Lihue)

Operated by:  Outfitters Kauai

Duration:  3 hours (approx.)

AdrenaLine Kauai Zipline Tour is one of the most exciting ziplining experiences in all of Kauai. You’ll soar through the air along three different ziplines, reaching speeds up to 60 mph on the FlyLine Kauai Zipline!

On your way to the ziplines, you’ll enjoy a gorgeous drive through Kipu Ranch, a 3,000-acre private working cattle ranch.

As you soar through the air, you can take in breathtaking views of Kipu Ranch, made famous by movies like Pirates of the Caribbean , Jurassic Park , and The Descendants .

The gorgeous mountain views at Kipu Ranch during our drive to the ziplines with Outfitters Kauai Zipline Tour.

While there are no beginner lines on this tour, we considered the first zipline, an 800-foot single line at 150 ft above the valley floor, a good warm-up before the more prominent ziplines.

Trysta and Cody taking pictures on the Outfitters Kauai Zipline Tour in Lihue, with a rainbow in the background.

Our tour guides, Khaiman and Ryker, were very professional during our visit and made everyone feel safe. I remember being very scared on the first zipline since I hadn’t ziplined in years, but Khaiman and Ryker’s expertise was very reassuring.

Trysta and Cody taking photos with their tour guide at Outfitters Kauai Zipline Tour.

The second zipline is an 1800-foot side-by-side tandem zipline, allowing you to go upside down if you dare. This zipline has the longest airtime on Kauai and is breathtaking! Cody decided to go upside down on this one, but I played it safe! While I didn’t do any zipline aerobatics, I had an absolute blast. If you are feeling competitive, you can also race against your partner.

The third zipline is the grand finale, the famous FlyLine Kauai Zipline. This line is not for the faint of heart—you’ll be flying superhero-style headfirst at speeds up to 60 mph! I was so excited and scared simultaneously, but it’s a thrilling experience that I won’t forget anytime soon!

The FlyLine is the biggest and longest Zipline in Hawaii, at over 3/4 mile in length, and offers spectacular views of the island.

Trysta flying superman-style on the FlyLine Zipline with Outfitters Kauai in Lihue.

Other activities:  After the second zipline, there is a bamboo pool and a natural lava rock swimming hole where you can cool off or enjoy the scenery. We were given 20 minutes to swim before heading to the last zipline.

People about to swim in the pool during the Outfitters Kauai zipline tour in Lihue.

Why we love this tour:  There is so much to love about this tour! The ziplines are thrilling, the scenery and views of Kipu Ranch are breathtaking, and the staff is friendly and professional.

Plus, you get to take in some of Kauai’s most beautiful scenery from a unique perspective—the sky! Also, since most of the lines are tandem, this tour seemed to move faster than other single-line tours we’ve been on. By far, its one of our top things to do in Kauai .

Cons:  The website says snacks are included; we did not receive any during our tour.

What’s included:

  • Three zip lines plus WaterZip at the swimming hole
  • All zipline and safety gear
  • Bottled water
  • Fresh, locally baked cookies
  • Free parking

Important information:  Flyers must be at least seven years old, 4ft tall, and between 60lbs and 275lbs.

Tips:  Bring a swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim in the pool. Also, the trails from the ziplines are pretty muddy, so wear appropriate shoes. We wore hiking shoes and were happy we did.

2. Kauai Backcountry Adventures Zipline Tour (Lihue)

Operated by:  Kauai Backcountry Adventures

Duration:  3 hours (approx.)

The Kauai Backcountry Adventures Zipline Tour is a great way to explore Kauai’s lush and beautiful backcountry. This incredible tour offers stunning views of Mt. Wai’ale’ale, the second-highest point in Kauai and one of the wettest places on Earth.

You’ll soar across seven ziplines that zigzag over the Wai’ahi Stream and through native forests. This tour is excellent for beginners and experts, with lines up to 250 feet above the water.

Cody at the Kauai Backcountry Zipline Tour enjoying the gorgeous lush scenery.

The first line is a test line about 450ft long but not too high. Your guides will ensure everyone is comfortable moving on to the next lines before proceeding. During our tour, our guides Cody and Esera told us that over the 10+ years they’d done zipline tours, no one has ever quit after the first “bunny” zip.

The second line is one of the highest ziplines in Kauai, soaring up to 250 feet in the air and 270 feet over the valley when you’re on the platform.

After the second zipline, the lines get progressively longer as you move through the course and descend down the valley.

People waiting is line to zipline at the Kauai Backcountry tour in Lihue.

Overall, this tour is a great way to experience Kauai’s beauty, exercise, and create memories with friends or family.

People waiting to zipline at the Kauai Backcountry Zipline Tour.

Other activities:  The tour ends with lunch under a small outdoor pavilion and consists of locally-sourced sandwich meat and everything else needed to make a sandwich. You’ll also get water, chips, and cookies.

Why we love this tour:  The unbelievable views you’ll see throughout this tour make it one of our favorite zipline tours. Also, since the groups are relatively small, you only wait for a short time between the ziplines.

And lastly, the tour guides are extremely friendly, fun, and professional, making the tour comfortable and enjoyable.

Girl ziplining at Kauai Backcountry Zipline in Lihue over lush scenery.

Cons:  The ride to the mountain top where the ziplines are takes about 30 minutes each way and can get bumpy in some spots. The views along the way are excellent though!

  • All ziplining gear
  • A delicious lunch and cold water

Important Information:  Flyers must be at least six years old and weigh between 100-250lbs. Also, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

3. Koloa Zipline (Koloa)

Operated by:  Koloa Zipline in Kauai

Duration:  3.5 hours (approx.)

Koloa Zipline is probably the most popular zipline on this list. On this tour, flyers will soar through the lush valleys and woodlands of the south shore of Kauai across eight ziplines featuring some of the longest lines on the island, including the 1/2-a-mile Waita Zipline.

The tour starts with a safety course and basic instructions on how to use the equipment. Once you have the basics down, you’ll move on to the ziplines.

You’ll get to scream through some of the most beautiful scenery in Kauai with plenty of time to take pictures and admire the views. The land you’ll fly over is about 22,000 acres and was Hawaii’s first sugar plantation. The gorgeous views of Waita Reservoir from the lines are truly breathtaking.

Woman ziplining with Koloa Zipline in Kauai.

You’ll get opportunities to fly tandem with handlebar pulleys and practice aerobatics throughout the eight ziplines.

Note:  Out of all the tours we did, Koloa Ziplines had the most diverse groups of people, from young kids to adults!

Why we love this tour:  The scenery is spectacular, and the tour guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining. Justin, Payton, and Derrick were our guides, and they did a fantastic job of making everyone feel safe.

Tour guide waiting for a flyer to land on the Koloa Zipline Tour in Kauai.

  • Flyers must check in at the office before driving to the meeting point about half a mile away. The stop added more time to our trip than going directly to the meeting point.
  • Flyers must carry their own pulleys, which can be inconvenient. Most tours keep your pulley attached to you. We didn’t like this since we had too much camera gear. However, other people didn’t seem to mind.

What’s included:

  • All equipment and gear
  • Snacks and beverages

Important information:  Flyers must be at least seven years old and not weigh over 280 lbs.

4. Kipu Ranch PowerLine Zipline (Lihue)

Duration:  2.5 hours (approx.)

Kipu Ranch PowerLine Zipline is another adventure tour operated by Outfitters Kauai, one of the best tour companies on the island.

During this tour, you’ll experience three ziplines over Kipu Ranch, a 3,000-acre working cattle farm. This PowerLine Zipline is very similar to the Adrenaline Kauai Zipline mentioned above. The only difference is that the AdrenaLine Kauai Zipline offers a swimming option at a natural lava rock swimming hole. Outside of that, everything else is the same.

Me flying superman style on the FlyLine Zipline with Outfitters Kauai Tour.

Why choose this tour?  This option is best for those that do not like swimming in natural water holes. Also, if you want to save 30 minutes, this tour is your best bet since it’s 30 minutes shorter.

Why we love this tour:  As mentioned before, the ziplines are a lot of fun! The views are stunning, and we felt safe with the staff’s experience and knowledge.

Cons:

No snacks were provided during our tour. However, this might not be the case during your tour, as snacks are supposed to be included.

  • Three ziplines

Tips for Ziplining in Kauai

Below are some tips to help you get the most out of your ziplining adventure in Kauai:

  • Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. I hope this goes without saying, but many people forget. You’ll be walking on uneven terrain, so you need proper footwear. Also, you want something other than sandals or open-toed shoes for safety reasons.
  • Arrive early for your tour. Most companies require you to check in 30 minutes before the tour starts. We made the mistake of arriving late (10 minutes before the start time) on our tour with Koloa Ziplines, and it was pretty stressful thinking we would have to reschedule. Luckily, we made it just in time with 0 minutes to spare! Don’t be that person that makes everyone late.
  • Wear sunscreen and bug spray. You’ll be outdoors for most of the tour, so coming prepared is essential.
  • Bring a raincoat if rain is in the forecast. Kauai is known for its rain, so bring a waterproof jacket if it’s going to rain during your tour! It rained a lot during our tours, but luckily, we had raincoats.
  • Please don’t litter. We all want to leave Kauai better than we found it, so please make sure not to litter during your tour (or any other time)!
  • Listen to your guides. They’re there to keep you safe, so please take their instructions seriously.
  • Remember to bring a camera or your phone! The views are stunning, and it’s nice to have some photos to remember the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should i wear ziplining in hawaii.

We recommend wearing hiking outfits. We always wear our hiking clothes and hiking shoes. Long sleeves and pants are usually better than shorts, especially since the harnesses may rub on your legs.

Is Ziplining in Kauai Worth it?

Absolutely! Kauai has some of the best ziplining in the world! The views are stunning, and you experience the island from a different perspective. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!

Is Ziplining Better in Kauai or Maui?

Both islands offer amazing ziplines, but if we had to choose one, we would say Kauai. When it comes to nature and scenery, Kauai is hard to beat. Plus, the unspoiled rainforest settings provide an extra level of adventure that you may prefer over Maui.

What is the Best Hawaiian Island to Zipline?

Kauai is the best Hawaiian Island for ziplining. The island’s lush rainforest, rugged terrain, and stunning views make it a perfect place to enjoy an exhilarating zipline tour. Most of Kauai consists of untouched nature, so you’ll get to experience the beauty of Hawaii from a unique perspective.

Final Thoughts

Kauai has some of the best ziplining tours in Hawaii. If you’re looking for an adventure and want to experience Kauai’s beautiful views from up high, these tours are absolutely perfect! Follow all safety instructions and have an incredible time!

Our 15 year old daughter said it was the highlight of our week on Kauai!. We enjoyed it all: the scenery on the trip up the mountain , the exciting ride downriver through the dark, dark tunnels, the tranquil picnic spot for lunch and the humor of our guides. It was a memorable experience which we have recounted to many friends back home

Aloha Keith! I am so glad to hear you guys had such a fun time on the Tubing tour. It has been a family favorite for years. I look forward to assisting you with more awesome activities on your next trip here to Kauai! Mahalo, Kaya

The water is cooler than the air, but comfortable for the duration you are in the water.

' src=

My husband and I will be coming in just a few weeks and are very interested in this tour. I will be 16 weeks pregnant at the time of our trip. I have seen some that do not recommend this tour if you are expecting. Is this strictly a recommendation or will they not allow you to do this tour? We have several friends and family members who have done it before and seem to think it would be fine.

Aloha Rachel! This is a good question, you can go on this tour if you are pregnant. You just need to have been in contact with you doctor and have been given the ok to be active during your pregnancy. This tour books up fast so call us toll free at 1-866-897-1637 to reserve your tour today!

' src=

My daughter is 11 yrs old. Can she ride with me or does she ride separately?

Aloha Shekhar! You just have to be 5 yrs of age and older to participate in this tour. Your daughter will have her own tube and ride by herself. However you can stay close to each other on the tour. Call us toll free at 1-866-897-1637 to reserve your seats or fill out our online reservation form today. This tour books up weeks in advance!

My Husband, myself and another couple visited your site about three years ago and LOVED it! We are planning a trip with our Family of 6 in August and have a few questions. We are planning on doing a day tour to Kauai from Oahu just to do your tour. I was wondering if you could tell me about how much it would cost to possibly take a shuttle from the airport to your facility. Are there any other discouts for a group of 6, or government rate? Mahalo!

Aloha Laura! This is a great tour for a family! We are offering this tour at a great price this summer, only $89 per person! So we can not go any lower than that. Your check in point is about a 8-10 min cab ride away from the airport. I would guess it would cost around $20 each way. Call us toll free at 1-866-897-1637 or fill out our online reservation form today, this tour books up weeks in advance!

' src=

It was awesome! We met lots of great people and it was totally fun.

' src=

We had a blast with the tubing adventure. It poured on us and we still had a amazing adventure. The water was super warm, the team leaders were fun, the tour was overall GREAT!!! Thanks for such a fun afternoon on a rainy day, bet the sunny days are FAB! Sarika and Dave Calgary AB Canada

Aloha Sarika & Dave! I am so happy to hear even in the rain this tour was a blast for you two! That is something extremely nice about Kauai is even in the rain it is still warm!

Great experience. We totally loved it. Our guides were great, kept us entertained all through the experience. I would highly recommend this activity.

Aloha Shekhar! Mahalo for your feedback, I am glad you had a great time. This is such an awesome tour!

' src=

Our party of 14 very interested in doing this the week of 7/24 and I have to say I’m impressed with just the responsiveness of this company.sent a reservation request.

We are coming over from Australia in March and are interested in doing both the ziplining and the tubing there is it possible to schedule both tours for the one day. Also we are planning on staying in Lihue so would it be expensive to get a taxi to and from there and are taxi’s easy to get

Aloha Belinda! You could do both Zipline and Tubing in the same day for sure! If you are staying in Lihue you will be close to the check in point. When you fill out the online reservation form in the comments field ask for some local taxi phone numbers and I will be sure email you some so you can easily arrange your transportation. Keep in mind the Tubing and Zipline tours do sell out so it is never to early to reserve your tours!

' src=

Is this ok for kids 9-11?

Aloha Susan! Yes this tour is great for all kids over 5 years old. The Mountain Tubing Adventure is a lot of fun for families and books up weeks in advance so be sure to reserve your tour soon!

' src=

Hi, what time slot would you recommend booking for the tubing? Just curious what time is best to go. I’m not a strong swimmer. Is the water flowing fast or deep? It looked shallow to me. Thanks! 🙂

Aloha! The Tubing tours start as early and go through the day into the late afternoon depending on availability. I like to remind people that you will be served a deli style lunch on the tour so the morning tours are nice because you eat lunch at a normal time. However it is up to you and your schedule. Keep in mind Kauai has great weather all day, not to hot & not to cool! The water is less than 3 ft deep and life jackets are provided if you would like to wear one. I look forward to hearing from you soon, Tubing sells out weeks in advance!

' src=

Do you require a full payment up front or is just a deposit required? Thank you!

Aloha Courtney! You will pay a deposit at the time of booking and pay the balance due when you check in for the tour. Feel free to call me toll free at 1-866-897-1637 if you have any other questions or to check availability, this tour books up quickly! I look forward to hearing from you soon, mahalo!

To celebrate my 50th birthday we decided to go “Hawaii 5-0” and spend a week on Kauai. First off 7 days was not enough. We’ll definitely do 10 days next time. My husband and I really enjoyed this adventure. It’s an easy float down and the tour guides were a lot of fun. After the float taking a dip in the pond was fun and lunch was good. I would recommend this to everyone of all ages (except if your claustrophobic, you probably won’t enjoy going through the tunnels).

Aloha Laura! Mahalo for your sharing your experience with us. I am happy to hear you had a great time. We look forward to helping you plan activities for your next trip here to Kauai.

' src=

Questions please:

(1) Re: the tubing – is there a reduced rate for a child (aged 7)

(2) What other activities do you have for this age group (7/nearly 8)- I notice the biking and zip wire are minimum age 12.

Many thanks

Aloha Helen! We offer lots of great activities for young children. Some of my favorite are the ATV tours, they can ride along as a passenger in several of the vehicles. The Napali Coast Snorkel Tours are awesome as well. Luaus, Air Tours too! I have a couple ziplines they can do as well. Check out our Nui Loa Zipline and Iki Mua Zipline. You just have to be 7 years old for both of those! As for the Tubing Tour the price is per person with no different child rate. Feel free to call me toll free at 1-866-897-1637 to ask any other questions or to get your tours reserved. Aloha!

' src=

Hello, I am coming in July with my mother who is 65. She’s not much into water sports or vigorous activities, but I want her to experience this. How strenuous is your mountain tubing experience? Is there someone to catch you if you fall out of tube and how often do people actually fall out? Is there possibility of injury? Can I coordinate to be in a tube right net to hers or that’s impossible? thank you so much!

Aloha Alina! These are great questions. This tour is not strenuous however you do need to be in good physical condition. The water is only about 3ft deep, there is no one to catch you if you fall out, there are guides with you in the water. You can put your tube in next to hers and stay by her. A good rule of thumb for this tour is can you stay in a reclined position (like you are sitting in a recliner) for 45 minutes? Children as young as 5 and adults as old as 82 have been out on this tour, just be sure she is up for the adventure!

' src=

Does the tube ride include the 4 wheel transportation to the starting point? If not do you have transportation BACK to the starting point? Thanks

Aloha Chuck! You will have to check in at the Tubing location in Hanamaulu. From there in an old military vehicle you will be driven to and back up country to the actual canal where you tube.

' src=

Does your tubing adventures have weight restrictions like the NCL tubing adventures.

Aloha Mike! Yes the Tubing weight limit is lbs. Let me know if you have any other questions! Keep in mind Tubing has to be booked far in advance, it is so popular!

' src=

My wife and I will be in Kauai in September. She will be 5 months pregnant. Is she allowed to participate in the tubing tour?

Aloha Ralph! Yes she can participate. As long as she has her doctors approval to be active. She does not need a doctors note. This tour books up weeks in advance so give us a call today to book your spots!

' src=

We are coming in July 2013. How far in advance would you recommend booking this tour for 9 people?

Aloha Julie! As soon as you can pick your date reserve this tour. Tubing always sells out. There is a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you need to change your reservation, or cancel it, you can do that without penalty up to 72 hours before your tour.

' src=

There is 10 of us in our group, do you offer or reccommend transportation from NCL cruise port to and from you location?

Aloha Sharon! You will need to take a taxi or rent a car. This tour does not offer transportation. The cruise ship port is about 10 minutes away from the check in point. Be sure to book your Tubing reservation as soon as you can it always sells out in advance.

' src=

Question: We notice that helmets are not listed on your “Provided” list; however, the person in the photo on your web page is wearing a helmet. Our concern is safety for our 5 yr. old. Do you have a helmet for her to wear?

Aloha Arlene! Yes helmets are provided for each person on the tour.

Mahalo for the feedback! We look forward to your return!

We had several guides during our vacation on Kauai that were great. However the best by far was Micah @ Kauai Backcountry Adv. He convinced my leery grandson that he was brave enough to tube alone. Both he and Christian were excellent guides! ~ Mueller Family

' src=

Aloha! How much walking is required for this? My father has a bit of trouble with walking.

Aloha! You will need to be able to take a short walk from the tour bus to the edge of the canal. Then there are 5-6 steps down you need to do to get into the Tube. Please call toll free at 1-866-897-1637 to make sure this tour is ok for him to do.

' src=

Is this tour safe for pregnant women or do you have restrictions on that?

Aloha Fanessa! This tour is ok for women who are pregnant if they have the ok from their doctor to be active. You need to be able to sit in a reclined position for 45 minutes. Please let us know at the time of booking how far along you are. Let me know if you have any other questions.

' src=

We stayed in Kauai last May 2014. This was by far the best activity we did as a family. We are going to Maui this year, but plan to fly to Kauai for a day just to take this very unique tubing tour. It was so much fun. They start the tour with a short walking tour and give information and history about the area as you make your way to the tubing area. Tubing had dark tunnels and some rushing water. Gloves are necessary (they provide) because you will occasionally need to push off of rocks. After tubing, there is a cold cut sandwich style picnic. I wish the tubing portion of this excursion was a little longer, but we had a great time!

Aloha Lisa! Awesome you are coming back to Kauai for this unique adventure tour! This is by far one of the most popular tours. We look forward to your return. Be sure to get your reservation in as soon as possible if you have not already. I am booking for September already!

' src=

My family had a great tubing experience today. We have visited Kauai several times but this was our first time tubing. Kaylee and Kerry really added to the experience and made the trip fun! Thanks for a refreshing new experience! Mahalo.

Aloha Gloria! Mountain Tubing on Kauai is a one of a kind adventure for sure! Mahalo for your feedback, I will make sure to pass this on to your tour guides. Keep us on your favorite for your next trip to Kauai, we seek out the best of the best tours for our customers!

' src=

Does the 5 year old have to be a certain height to ride?

' src=

I had a question regarding the footwear and is meant by “water friendly shoes”. Could you recommend some brands or even links to shoes on amazon/zappos or what your guides wear? Thanks.

Aloha Jon, Water friendly shoes meaning shoes you do not mind to get wet. You will be wearing them while tubing, they need to have a secure back strap so you do not loose them. Like Tevas, chacos & aqua socks. Any kind of sport sandal or old tennis shoes will work too!

' src=

Thanks for making me feel like a kid again.

' src=

January 26, 2017 My husband and I had absolutely the best time. We went on the 1:00pm adventure. Our guides were so great and helpful. If we get a chance to return we sure will. Thanks Becca & Will

Aloha Becca! Mahalo for your feedback I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful time! This is a must do on Kauai!

' src=

How long is this tour?

' src=

We will be in Kauai on May 31, 2018 On Pride of America and would like an 11:30 start time for 4 people . Is that possible ?

Aloha Carol, This tour can sell out far in advance only the 9 am and 2 pm tours are available that day. Space is extremely limited so let us know if you would like reserve space.

' src=

Kaya, This tubing trip was the highlight of my trip to Kauai ???. RJ , Joel, and gang made the trip even more fun with their outgoing personalities ?. Sign up early so you don’t miss this opportunity ‼️ I’ll be telling my son and his wife about the fantastic trip ‼️ J?

' src=

Are Chacos and keens good shoe options??

Aloha Stevie, As long as your chacos or keens have a strap that secures the shoe to your foot these will work great!

' src=

My friend and I signed up after hearing from another friend that it was amazing, and my god it did not disappoint. Our tour guides, Marcus and BJ/PJ (honestly not sure which one it it, I apologize) made the tour 10x better. They were hilarious, kind, and quite knowledgeable about the island. Shout-out to our driver, Dustin, for being awesome! Another shout-out to whoever was playing the ukulele and singing, because it echoed through the caves and made the experience another 10x better. 10/10 would recommend!!

Aloha Adelaide, Mahalo for your feedback it sounds like you had a blast! I will pass this along to the guides.

' src=

Had an amazing time on our trip! Chasen was our guide and he was awesome! Kept us entertained and educated on the history of the island and the mountain. Would highly recommend this trip. If you are looking for fun and adventure this is your trip!

Aloha Leslie! We appreciate your feedback & so happy you had a fantastic time! Mahalo Nui Loa!

' src=

We went today, there is not enough room to say all of the good things about this experience. So much fun, beautiful, well organized excursion I have ever been on. Not only was the float amazing, the people who guide, sign you up, and get you up to the site were AMAZING. Entertaining, friendly, and the best thing! We had our 7 year old Granddaughter with us and they were spectacular with her. We all enjoyed it so much. Don’t miss this place. So. Worth It.

Aloha Kathy! Mahalo for the stellar feedback. So wonderful you had an epic experience!

' src=

I just wanted to take a moment and give HUGE MAHALO‘S!!!! We went Tuesday Jan 25th at 1:00pm, Kannan was our main guide (might have spelled that name wrong, if I did, my bad). Our little daughter who has Down’s Syndrome, she’s 9 years old took to him very fast. He let here sit next to him, he talked to her the whole trip, even made sure she stayed with him during the floating portion. He was so sweet and awesome with her!! He has a huge heart!! Not many people see her for her, well, he sure did!! Thank you from a father of one who doesn’t get to see that kind of treatment most of the time. Your an awesome man!! That told me everything I needed to know about you and your family as well as the company you work for. Kauai Backcountry Adventures truly lives the ALOHA spirit!!

Mahalo Allen for sharing your experience, that is totally AWESOME!

' src=

How deep is the water while in the tube?

Aloha Carly, The water will never be more than 3 feet deep.

' src=

Do you offer gluten free options for lunch? My friend and I are both allergic. Thank you

' src=

Is the 300 pound weight maximum firm? My husband is a little above that but very active with no health issues. Would he be permitted to tube?

' src=

Do you give AARP discounts?

' src=

What an awesome adventure made even better by our incredible tour guides. Big shout out to Melissa or maybe it was Marissa(my bad), Keanu and Tyler for their humor, help and guidance while tubing. Really can’t say enough about this trio but Mahalo!! You all made for a memorable experience. Definite 5 star all the way!

Mahalo nui loa Janet! So awesome to hear from you about these expert guides!

' src=

Mahalo, thank you Sherri our tour guide for an amazing adventure and comedic ride!!! You truly made this experience memorable. My family and I loved your humor and passion for what you do!!!

' src=

Big Mahalos to Sophie and her team! Our tour was on 9/26 and Sophia and her team made it an amazing tubbing experience. They were each knowledgeable and personable. Their warmth, humor and confidence really helped make the tour one of the highlights of our time on island in Kauai. Mahalo!

' src=

We all had so much fun on the tubing adventure! Their were 9 of us ranging in ages and we all had big smiles and lots of laughs! Keanu was a great tour guide and the rest of the team were awesome as well. Had a great lunch that pleased a variety of dietary likes! So glad we made this part of our vacation. Was definitely a huge highlight we will always remember and cherish. Mahalo ❤️🌺🌊🤙🏼

Mahalo Sabrina for sharing your experience we really appreciate your positive feedback. We look forward to your return to Kauai!

' src=

Great adventure and awesome staff and guide! Kyven did an amazing job and was very friendly. He made all three of our boys’ day by trading/giving them charms for their crocs. He went the extra mile along with the other staff helping the tour. Thanks for the memories and “refreshing” ride! Highly recommend to anyone, especially those with kids. Mahalo!

' src=

Can we bring drinks along with us?

Aloha Denise, You can bring a water bottle with you or another beverage of your choice (non-alcoholic) on tour however you will not have it while you are in the actual tube tubing down the canal. You will have access to it before and after the tubing portion. On the ride up into the backcountry and after the tubing at the lunch stop. Let us know if you have any other questions along the way. This tour sells out far in advance so best to make your reservation as soon as possible.

' src=

I am gluten intolerant. Is there way to accommodate this for lunch? Thanks!

' src=

What an awesome time! Great guides that like to have fun and who couldn’t have fun going down a river on a tube! Highly recommend, you won’t regret it.

' src=

Had a blast! So much fun even for us oldies! (Over 60) Must go!!

' src=

Mason, the superior, was amazing! Wonderful voice, loved the ukulele, information and stories! Griffin and Misty were great as well. I’ve done this several times and this was the best yet. The other Mason was superior too! Thank you!

' src=

We went on the canal tubing tour and it was great! Knowledgeable and friendly guide, Gavin. We gad a blast and definitely recommend it!

' src=

What if we have a 5 year old but is just shy of the height requirement? Can I hold her in my tube as her dad????

' src=

Are you guys able to look up the lists of people that I had went riding with?

' src=

Do you offer military discount?

' src=

I was there, Friday, October 27th. It was fun, but different than I expected. It does get rough in some places and gets going pretty fast. You go through caves and we were told to turn off our lights in last cave. Somehow, I ended up flipping over and hard to get back up because of rushing water and other tubers. They could not see me because our lights were turned off. I scraped my knees all up and wrist and ankle. Scary experience! I would not have anyone turn off their lights in the caves.

' src=

My husband is an amputee (leg). He is very fit, so I’m not worried about him physically, but his prosthetic can not get wet. Can we give it to someone while he is in the water, and could it be available when he gets out of the water on the other side?

' src=

Can you email me if u have cancelation Monday 12,11,2023…..

' src=

Would my 6 yr old grandson be required to have his own tube, or would he be able to share with his dad?
