There is no such thing as a free lunch. Free tours essentially means spending your time shopping at designated merchants and yes, expect high pressure selling tactics.

Still, even though it was "expected that there is no free lunch", I feel sorry for my tour mate who had to fork out so much more and couldn't get refund for the TCM medicines which she regretted buying.

Further to minxbaby's reply in #4, your friend should also be aware that some herbal medicines can react adversely with prescription, or even over the counter medications.

I think that often people see the word 'herbal' and therefore believe it is safe. That is not always the case.

Anyone looking for tour agency to go overseas, don't go to JUN-AIR. Gave money last year june to go overseas and can't go but they refused to give back the money. Went down just now to ask whether any tour group going in june and they said that there is a group that is already full for the trip in june and yet they didn't even bother to call us and ask whether are we interested for the trip. Somemore they push all the blame to us that we should be the one calling and asking. Come on! Who knows when is the trip date? JUN-AIR should be the one calling the customers and informing us instead. Really disappointed in the tour agency. Furthermore, they are unwilling to return the money even though we didn't go for the trip. Don't go to this agency if you don't want to get disappointed in JUN-AIR services. First time booking with JUN-AIR and really damn disappointed with them!

jun air travel reviews

HI guys, my parents sign up with Jun-Air for a November Paris-London shopping trip last two months back, they were aggressive in chasing for the payment upfront and my parents released full payment to them.

The trip was later cancelled as there were insufficient people to form up a group and when my parents demanded their payment back, Jun-air delayed the payment by giving excuses citing their accounts personnel was not around to release payments.

It has been more than 2 weeks and they are still providing the same execuses / avoiding calls.

Therefore i would like to know whether there had been any successful cases of people getting their refund back from Jun-Air ? Is there any available channels that we can explore to seek our payment back ?

Thanks in advance !

The standard refund period is about 6-8 weeks, even for the big 4 agencies. My mom's Australia trip got cancelled and we got back the refund only after 6 weeks. Did they give you a timeline on the refund?

 – a gast company, quiet air compressors.

The “original” quiet compressor with a noise level below 45 dB(A). The Jun-Air oil-lubricated compressor is the lifeline of dental surgeries worldwide, and many units are still in operation after 25 years – a testament to the quality and reliability of Jun-Air compressors.

JUN-AIR oil-lubricated piston compressors are — contrary to traditional compressors — not supplied with piston rings. Instead the tolerance between the piston and the cylinder has been reduced, minimizing the heat development and the energy loss.

Why I am calling the new iPad Air M2 (13-inch) “pro” in every sense

Apple ipad air m2 2024 review: the all-new ipad air 13-inch combines a powerful m2 chip, an expansive display, and versatile accessories. here's why i feel it's an almost 'pro' device..

jun air travel reviews

It wasn’t even a year into my first full-time job as a tech journalist when I decided to get an iPad. My dad asked why I wanted an iPad instead of a Mac. I was convinced the first-generation iPad Air was the device I wanted. I still remember walking into a Croma store. It was my go-to writing machine, a device to watch movies and play games—I traveled with it everywhere. I still have it, and it still works. Since then, I have reviewed almost all iPads and used various accessories, from Apple and other brands. I know the iPad inside and out; I am both its biggest supporter and critic.

The iPad has evolved significantly. The new iPad Air 13-inch feels like a “pro” tablet to me, even though Apple continues to call it the “Air”. The new size, a large expansive display, a powerful M2 chip, and support for the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard are all signs of the iPad Air essentially becoming a personal computing device—if you think it’s the one. For me, though, the iPad Air 13-inch is the most mature iPad that does all the iPady things I am used to, without the burden the “iPad Pro” carries around.

Apple iPad Air (M2, 13-inch, 1TB) as reviewed: Rs 129,990

iPad Air 2024

Apple iPad Air: The travel buddy

There’s something satisfying about stashing an iPad into your backpack and heading to the airport. As my travels increased, I chose a more portable and lighter device. As queues became longer at airport security gates, I made sure to travel with the bare minimum of devices and accessories.

The iPad Air , even though I am reviewing the large 13-inch model over the 11-inch, fits perfectly as a travel essential. This is one device that provides me with the mobility I need. The 13-inch size may seem large to some, but I can comfortably use it on an airplane tray. Paired with the Magic Keyboard (not the new one, unfortunately), it still makes the iPad Air lightweight. Even though the weight increases a bit, it never feels bulky.

This time, I chose to travel with the Logitech Keys-to-go, a super slim keyboard that feels almost weightless. These things make the iPad so interesting because I get the freedom to use accessories of my choice. I don’t find the same freedom with other devices, even a Mac, for that matter.

Festive offer

Apple iPad Air review: The 13-inch screen makes the iPad Air almost like a portable TV

I am someone who doesn’t like watching TV in hotel rooms. I haven’t touched the TV remote ever. Instead, the iPad has always been my streaming hub. However, since my old iPad Air has started showing its age, I replaced it with the new iPad Air. The 13-inch LCD touchscreen is massive, with a 2,732 x 2,048-pixel resolution and the ability to hit 600 nits of peak brightness. I won’t say the screen on the iPad Air is as good as the tandem OLED display on the high-end iPad Pro, but the display is bright and colorful for regular movie watching, web browsing, and the hours I spend on Pinterest. A variable refresh rate up to an ultra-smooth 120Hz would have been great, though.

That said, I don’t have major qualms about missing the OLED display. For me, what is important is that the larger screen provides a lot of scope to juggle between multiple tasks. The best part is that I can use the iPad Air for productivity beyond regular content consumption. Think about using the iPad Air’s screen as a secondary monitor for my Mac. The large canvas also gives me a reason to use it for drawing or sketching, and the support for Apple’s new Pencil Pro with extra features like haptic feedback and the new squeeze gesture takes full advantage of the 13-inch screen. Though I don’t sketch as much as I used to, the capability is there. Of course, I can’t get the same experience on my M3 MacBook Air because Apple doesn’t put a touchscreen on the Mac nor do they offer a way to use accessories like the iPad.

iPad Air 2024

iPadOS does iPad things nicely but isn’t a macOS alternative

One of the biggest criticisms of the iPad has come from the pro community, and it’s regarding iPadOS. I don’t think regular iPad users have a strong opinion on the state of iPadOS. But as a long-time iPad user, I want the iPad to be a full-blown computer. My expectations started to go up with the launch of the iPad Pro. As of today, iPadOS handles iPady things nicely. Almost 90 per cent of the tasks I use a MacBook Air for can be handled by the iPad Air, from writing and editing stories using Google Docs, web browsing, streaming content, replying to emails, and running apps to playing games.

The problem isn’t really with the standard iPad or how iPadOS functions. However, the issue arises with the iPad Pro (and the new iPad Air), which tries to deliver an experience close to the Mac, leading users to expect the same software experience as they get with their MacBook Air or Pro.

I don’t know how Apple sees iPadOS in the long term. Putting macOS on the iPad may not be as effective as Apple refining the software iPadOS is already capable of. I want full freedom with the apps on the iPad. I want to run macOS apps on my iPad, and Apple needs to figure it out. The Mac already runs iOS apps, and newer Macs and iPad Pro and Air models have the same chip powering them (the latest Air has the M2 chip). I want the browser to be on par with the Mac. My expectations (like others) have only increased, and Apple knows it. I want the iPad Air to replace my MacBook Air completely because I want it to be my most-used computing device in any circumstance. I don’t want to carry the iPad as a supplementary device to the MacBook Air. It’s Apple’s job to figure out how to make the iPad a complete computing system.

That being said, I am already using my iPad Air extensively, so it means if Apple is willing to, it can find ways to make iPadOS more like macOS while still letting iPads be iPads. If I look at how Apple is beefing up the hardware on the iPads, alongside adding meaningful upgrades to iPadOS, like the recent changes to Stage Manager, making it easier to multitask or the release of Final Cut and Logic Pro on the iPad, these things show the progress iPadOS has made, despite many things, Apple doesn’t want the operating system to accomplish.

One area where I agree with many professional users is how the iPad fails in professional multitasking. Even if a user wants the iPad to handle the entire workflow, iPadOS’s limitations are a glaring omission. Using the Numbers app or Affinity Designer is just not as smooth as using them on the Mac, for example. Apple needs to choose how professional users view iPadOS because both macOS and iPadOS behave very differently.

iPad Air 2024

Performance is not an issue

The iPad Air is just as powerful as the Mac. I never saw a problem running apps, or running two apps side-by-side. My old Surface Pro doesn’t stand near the iPad Air on any parameter, except that it runs Windows 11. Battery life on the new iPad Air remains the same as on older iPads, despite the bigger size. I opened the iPad at 8 a.m. and used it non-stop until noon. I took a lunch break in between, and at 7 p.m., it still had some juice left. During a typical day, I write long articles, edit copies, watch videos, attend video calls, and spend time on research. If you are a writer like me, the iPad Air will easily get you through a day of writing without ever needing to think about a charging point. Mark my words.

A subtle but important change on the newer iPad Air is the front-facing camera placement. Apple moved the 12MP sensor to the center in landscape orientation, which, to me, feels like a more natural way to take video calls. It also supports Center Stage, which pans and zooms to ensure your face is always in the frame during video calls.

Should you buy the M2 iPad Air?

The new iPad Air is the iPad Pro in every sense. This thing is my favourite writing device, thanks to the more expansive 13-inch screen, which allows me to see and edit more content and use apps side-by-side. More importantly, the iPad Air gives me the freedom to choose accessories on my terms and try different combinations that work for my daily workflow. This is why I keep calling the iPad a more personal and exciting device than the Mac. I don’t know if the fusion of iPadOS and macOS is the future of the iPad, but I do know Apple can make iPadOS much better if it figures out how to run a desktop OS on a tablet.

The RSS chief made these remarks at a time when the BJP and Sangh have held discussions post the poll results and a new coalition government is taking charge at the Centre.

In his first public remarks on the outcome of the elections in which the BJP fell short of a majority in Lok Sabha, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said Monday that a true sevak (one who serves the people) does not have “ahankar” (arrogance) and works without causing any hurt to others. Referring to the bitter poll campaign, he said “decorum was not maintained”.

Pa. governor predicts rebuilding Interstate 95 overpass will take months

Portion of highway collapses in Philadelphia after tanker fire

(The latest: Philadelphia bridge collapse spells months of misery for drivers )

An overpass on Interstate 95 that collapsed in North Philadelphia on Sunday will take months to replace, officials said, snarling a bustling East Coast corridor during the summer travel season and severing a main commercial artery for the city.

Standing before the wreckage of what he called “remarkable devastation,” Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) and other officials warned motorists to expect detours and embrace public transit for an unknown period as the highway is rebuilt. Traffic during the Monday morning commute moved slowly on nearby streets as drivers tested new routes around the closed highway.

A northbound slice of the road cratered and the southbound expanse is structurally unsound after a tanker carrying gasoline went up in flames under the overpass early Sunday morning, shooting out apocalyptic plumes of smoke and burning with such searing force that steel girders under the highway appear to have melted.

“I found myself, you know, thanking the Lord that no motorists who were on I-95 were injured or died,” Shapiro said, after announcing plans to declare a state of emergency to secure federal assistance.

Officials could not say what caused the fire that collapsed the roadway, which carries about 160,000 vehicles a day — a combination of through-traffic and local activity across the nation’s sixth-most-populous city and surrounding suburbs. The circumstances of the crash are being investigated by multiple agencies, including the National Transportation Safety Board.

The conditions to create such a calamity are so rare that highway bridges aren’t typically built to be fireproof like buildings, said a Drexel University engineering expert.

“We don’t design them for fire resistance because we don’t expect to have any types of fire incidents,” said Amir Farnam, who studies reinforced-concrete infrastructure and estimated that it would take temperatures of 500 degrees Celsius to cut the steel used in highway girders in half.

A minute after the blaze was reported to emergency responders, Tara Hallinan, 30, found herself faced with a wall of bright orange flames.

She pulled out her phone in the back seat of a Lyft and captured the crackling fire and plumes of black smoke engulfing the interstate.

“There were flames on either side of us,” said Hallinan, who was on her way to work at a hotel in Old City. “It’s going to be a big hassle for Philadelphians that take the 95. I’m not really sure what they’re going to do.”

Anxiety was overcome by weary acceptance among residents reached by phone Sunday, who said they had no choice but to wait and see what their leaders would do. Some recalled disruptions caused in 1996, when a fire burned for nearly five hours under a stretch of the same highway in the city, collapsing a span of interstate that required more than a week of detours and about six months of reconstruction.

It took hours Sunday for emergency response and transportation officials to establish detours as they closed streets surrounding the collapse along a stretch of Northeast Philadelphia.

The closure — between Exit 32 for Academy Road and Linden Avenue and Exit 30 for Cottman Avenue and Rhawn Street — impacts a mostly residential slice of the city home to the Bustleton and Tacony neighborhoods, which were settled by Irish, Italian and German immigrants but now bustle with a racially diverse population of Indians, Russians, and other immigrant families and store owners.

Mike Ditro, the manager of Curran’s Irish Inn, adjacent to I-95 on Cottman Avenue, said he could see the smoke from work.

Ditro, 55, said that he won’t be able to know the true toll of the collapse until Monday but that a police officer was helping drivers navigate the area as traffic was affected near the restaurant.

“There’s nothing you can do,” he said. “It’s going to be gridlock, I’m sure.”

Trash collection and bus service would be disrupted, officials warned Sunday. Philadelphia’s schools superintendent issued a statement saying students and staff members with commutes disrupted by the closure would be excused for arriving late.

The collapse set off a wave of concern that echoed from City Hall all the way to the White House, where President Biden was briefed.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg pledged the support of the Transportation Department and said the Federal Highway Administration is working with adjacent states to alert drivers about the collapse and assist with traffic plans. He urged travelers planning to cross through the region to pay close attention to local traffic alerts as “we expect significant regional impact,” he said in a tweet .

I-95, a major north-south artery that carries freight and goods from Maine to Florida, functions as a key connection to other primary highways including the New Jersey Turnpike or Interstate 295, which splits off in Delaware to carry travelers passing through the region around Philadelphia as they continue up and down the Eastern Seaboard.

City and state transportation officials continue to work to come up with traffic plans and alternatives to help locals who rely on the highway, which is not passable.

Detours on Sunday included Route 63 West (Woodhaven Road), U.S. 1 South, Interstate 76 East and Interstate 676 East for southbound I-95. Instead of northbound I-95, the city recommended that motorists use I-676 West, I-76 West, U.S. 1 North to Route 63 East (Woodhaven Road).

Transit officials with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said they would increase train service starting this week as an alternative.

Shapiro on Sunday could not give a timetable for rebuilding, saying that engineers must assess the damage but that the work will “take some number of months.”

The fire was reported at 6:20 a.m., with Philadelphia firefighters arriving on scene at the Cottman Avenue exit about 10 minutes later. It took about an hour for them to get the blaze under control, the Philadelphia Fire Department said in a tweet, and personnel were expected to remain overnight to monitor the spill for new fires.

The tanker was carrying as much as 8,500 gallons of gasoline, some of which spilled into a drainage system that ends in the nearby Delaware River, where the U.S. Coast Guard used a floating barrier known as a boom to contain the spillage.

Shapiro said he only saw a light sheen of fuel on the water from the tanker spill, an assessment backed up by the Coast Guard.

“It hasn’t made its way to the water that much,” said Ensign Josh Ledoux, a spokesperson for the Delaware Bay sector of the Coast Guard, which continues to monitor the spill.

At least one car remains under the rubble, Shapiro said. The identity and status of the tanker driver remains unclear.

An alphabet soup of agencies responded to assess the damage as residents and business owners watched smoke climb into the sky all morning, trying to take the emergency in stride — as is expected in a city known for its tough reputation.

. @LTGDavis and I are closely coordinating with partners in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the federal government and we will share more information as we have it. For now, please avoid the area and follow the direction of the first responders on the scene. — Governor Josh Shapiro (@GovernorShapiro) June 11, 2023

As she looked ahead to a tough commute, Monica Hawk, 44, created a playlist on Apple Music to cope with the disruptions that she expects will extend her drive time to nearly two hours.

On deck are hits from Miley Cyrus, Lizzo and One Direction, including the aptly titled “Story of My Life.”

“It’s going to be a while,” said Hawk, the interim chief executive of One Bright Ray Community High School. “We’re just going to be patient.”

At Joe Santucci’s Square Pizza on Woodhaven Road, delivery drivers avoided their usual I-95 routes — bringing customers their pizzas 20 or 30 minutes later than usual.

“Everybody in the neighborhood right now is waiting to find out what the city is going to do and when 95 will be back up and running,” said Jessica Chiffens, a manager.

Tired of watching an endless loop of fiery scenes from the interstate, customers at the bar finally asked the staff to change the channel to baseball, to watch the Phillies take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It was a home game, and the Phillies delivered a 7-3 victory for a city in need of a win.
