Tallebudgera Creek Park

Tallebudgera Creek Park

This premium foreshore park has an array of great features that make it the perfect location for a get together with loved ones. There is a small kids' playground, picnic shelter, barbecue and tables. Amenities include a Changing Places facility, toilets, drinking fountain and outside beach showers.

Relax with a picnic on the grassed area, or have a cool dip, kayak or paddle in the waters of Tallebudgera Creek .

Take a stroll along the footpath and boardwalk towards the Seawall and Tallebudgera Beach. There are several benches on the way to stop and appreciate the breathtaking scenery.

Entrance to the carpark is via Gold Coast Highway. There are plenty of non-metered parking bays beside the park. It pays to get in early as these spaces fill quickly on weekends and public holidays. The carpark is shared with the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct and Custard Café.

Accessibility

The park features a Disability Discrimination Act compliant accessible toilet design specifically for those with disabilities and special needs. Park facilities are accessed via the connecting pathways through the parklands.

For more information on parks with accessible features visit our Accessible parks page.

Dog exercise area

Tallebudgera Creek

The sparkling creek of Tallebudgera

1544 Gold Coast Highway Palm Beach, Queensland 4221

Tallebudgera is famous for its sparkling creek, framed by the Burleigh Heads National Park on one side and Palm Beach on the other. A visit to Tallebudgera is all about swimming, picnicking, watersports and a spot of fishing. Generations of families return each summer to claim their favourite spot at the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park, which is perched on the edge of this estuary. For those looking for a little luxury, there are also two and three-bedroom waterfront villas or basic lodgings for those on a budget. For a true taste of this part of the coast, head to the Tallebudgera Surf Lifesaving Club for a meal or hit Custard Canteen for a coffee and tasty pastry treats. A short stroll across the bridge will take you to the beautiful Burleigh Heads National Park, where you can explore scenic walking tracks through lush rainforests and visit the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about the local indigenous history and culture of the Gold Coast. The Kombumerri people of the Yugambeh language group have cherished this special spot for centuries and learning their Dreamtime stories, which are woven into the landscape, will give you an even deeper appreciation for the magic of Tally Creek.

Thanks Miriam. It is a beautiful spot. A little more ‘low-rise’ than Surfers Paradise but still very close.

‘Low rise’ sounds good to me.

Wasn’t completely happy with my site, it was like a fish bowl, had caravans the three sides of us. Other than that the camp ground is clean and well maintained, beautiful location.

The cheapest camping spot we found in the area (approx $45 per night unpowered).Tent area is right next to the Gold Coast Highway so was pretty loud at night. Camp kitchen has BBQs, fridges and freezer, microwave, toaster and a boiling water unit. Showers not the cleanest as the amenities are shared across the entire holiday park next to the pool so gets a lot of traffic. There are paid washing machines (no dryers). 18+ pool which is nice to have a relaxing swim. Right next to Tallebudgera creek and a 20 min walk or 5 min drive to Burleigh Beach. Good amount of space in tent space- just had a dodgey neighbour but what can you do!
