How do I download shore excursion brochure?

I remember being able to download a PDF of ShoreEx. I may be missing it, but I cannot seem to locate anything on =X= web. Any ideas?

Go to http://www.celebritycruises.com/plan-a-cruise/shore-excursions and there's a "download shore excursions brochure" button about half way down.

Or call Celebrity and they will send it to you via e-mail. I tried to download it and failed, but as soon as I spoke with Zoe at the Captain's Club and she sent it right away.

Am I right to assume that you can only download the brochure when the final balance has been paid. I've tried the button as described but just get an error.

We are a group of friends travelling and we found it easier to plan excursions the last time when we had a paper copy.

I haven't been able to download for a couple of years now. Just call the Captain's Club and they will email it to you as suggested previously.

I wanted to avoid having to phone - my experience of calling in the UK in the past has just left me exasperated so I try to do everything on line.

I downloaded the PDF after final payment. It will be part of the e-doc.

Celebrity has a pdf file on their US website that tells how to do it, step by step.

(I don't know whether or not it has something similar on their website for other countries.)

When I used it, I first needed to click a link to temporarily disable a popup blocker, because I got a message at the top of my screen telling me that a popup blocker was preventing it from loading.

It is not necessary to make final payment, or even to have a reservation for the cruise at all, for that matter.

You don't even need to log in to your Celebrity account.

The only information you need to enter is ship name, sail date, and currency you will use.

I also downloaded the pdf file for the excursions to my own computer, and suggest doing that (if you have the available space) so that so you can access it again easily whenever you want to look at it without needing to be online or having to go through all the steps again.

I will list the steps I followed below the link, but think it would be good if you can click the link and look at the pdf file because it has illustrations.

How to Access Shore Excursions Downloadable Brochure.pdf

Step 1 - Visit http://www.celebritycruises.com

Step 2 -Click on Shore Excursions link under the main Onboard menu in the main navigation bar at the top of the home page, which will take you to the Shore Excursions landing page

Step 3 -Once you reach the landing page, scroll down until you see the clickable Download Shore and Land Excursion Brochure button.

Step 4 -After clicking the link, you’ll be directed to enter information about your sailing to access the specific brochure associated with your itinerary.

Step 5 -Submit the appropriate information, and browse available excursions for your sailing

Am I right to assume that you can only download the brochure when the final balance has been paid. I've tried the button as described but just get an error.  

No. You can download it any time it is available.

We downloaded ours over a year before the cruise and over 9 months before final payment.

However, that far in advance it is not totally complete or accurate.

Failing to do that is the main reason most people have trouble downloading the brochure.

The UK Website does have an option to download excursions for a specific cruise, that's where the error occurs. Even if you disable the pop up blocker it still doesn't work ,so I'm back to square one

It brought up a different screen from the US site that I described previously, but scrolling down the first page about half way (below the world map), on the right side is a picture of a couple on a motorcycle by the coliseum,

and it has a link that says " Shore Excursions > "

I clicked that link, and the next screen had a picture of a hot air balloon.

I scrolled down and found a link below right in the center of the screen that says

" VIEW ALL SHORE EXCURSIONS "

When I clicked that link, it switched me to the US website.

Scrolling down just a short way on the right is a link to

Download Shore Excursions Brochure for specific sailings

and clicking that on the US website, it should work for you just as it does for us here in the USA, as described in post #8.

But IMPORTANT: you can't just click the link above here in my message -- I tried that, and it brings up an old plain black and white form that no longer works if I do it that way.

So if you get that one (it says Loading... at the top), just close it and try again.

The new form that works correctly has a blue box border around it, and the blue box opens first, before the print appears.

For that matter, it may be easier if you try starting from the US website to begin with: http://celebritycruises.com

Yes I have found that link - when I click the link for "Download Shore Excursions Brochure for specific sailings", I get the error so the site doesn't seem to be directing back to what it should from the UK site.

I'll third that :D. I appear to be able to log into some of my reservations to view shore excursions, dining etc., but not others :confused:. I keep getting an error message and being logged out for 20 minutes - not managed to get into the reservation at all :(.

I don't know if this is the case for the UK website, but the US site used to only work when logged OUT of your My Celebrity account.

Sorry that it didn't work for the UK people the way it does for us here in the USA.

As noted previously, when I try to do it from the UK site, part way through it switches me back to the US website, and from there on it works for me just the same way as when I start out on the US website.

But apparently not if you are in the UK, even if you are on the US website.

Very strange!!

Let's hope that someone else will find another way to do it from the UK and post the solution here.

I don't know if this is the case for the UK website, but the US site used to only work when logged OUT of your My Celebrity account.   Maybe that's worth trying? Good luck! Jane

Today I got an email from Celebrity reminding me to book my on shore excursions .... with the same link to download the brochure ....which doesn't work!!

You couldn't make it up if you tried :) :confused:

The ship has Malta Registration. Originally dreamt up by the company so it could conduct legal weddings on board.

The Magic Carpet “elevator” lounge.

These are the “Baristas” in the Coffee and Cake Cafe “La Bacio”. The crew on boards seemed genuinely happy and we never had any bad service in the public areas.

The funnel of the Apex is in the form of an X, referring to the days that the company was called Chandris Cruises which is spelled with an X in Greek. It came forth out of the emigrant carrier days and then in 1990 revamped itself into a 5 star cruise company by building three new ships.

The “Tuscan” restaurant, the larger tables are more in the middle lane.

The Grand Plaza. Very nice room but all the glass around it and reflective ceiling made it very noisy. This photo was taken early on a port morning.

The hallways are fairly small. When the cabin steward trolleys are out, it is impossible for wheel chairs to get by, and results in much maneuvering by the stewards to make it happen.

Our cabin.   The small table with the chair can pushed in if you like for more room to walk around the bed. It would have been nice if there would have been some extra storage space above the bed. There is plenty of room for a few cabinets. (photo picked from the internet as I do not have a wide angle on the camera)

The enclosed balcony with the top part window that opens. By using the buttons on the left you can open and close the top part and also lower a night black out screen from the top.

The ship has a 2nd show lounge, which is ls also used as a disco in the evening and cruise staff activities during the day.

Another view of the Tuscan restaurant, with one of the large tables. As this was a 4 day taster cruise, many larger family’s had taken the opportunity to take a cruise for family celebrations and these tables were in high demand in all restaurants.

The view of the Theatre from the stage. We found that the best place to sit was on the light brown rows near the steps. But for that you have to be early.

The Craft & Social Bar on Deck 4 portside. We managed to get in on a port day when it was quiet just after opening time.

This is a view of the “Normandie” one of the 4 free restaurants on board. It was not our favourite as it had not much atmosphere but it had some French dishes on the menu

When walking aft to the Eden room you have to walk through a rather surreal walkway with silver walls. Although most art has a descriptive plaque with it, I could not find one for this one, so I have no idea what this is supposed to be ? Celebrity in winter time ?

This is the restaurant “Blu”. It is for the guests who travel in the “Aqua Class”. There are two more of these restaurants, reserved for guests for the higher classed cabins.

The “Cosmopolitan Restaurant”. located on Deck 4 aft. On the opposite side the the “Cyprus” and a deck below, next to each other the “Tuscan” and the “Normandie”

Shops on board. The retail area is very extensive and with a large section of upscale jewellery and clothing. Mere mortals like us, took advantage of the reasonable Duty free liquor prices.

For those who want to walk there is a jogging/walking track on Deck 14  which loops around the pool area and the Roof top café.  it is a nice idea to split the track up in fast and slow, but I wonder if it works as a lot of “walkers” tend to walk as a couple and the path is not wide enough for that.

Another Restaurant with a cover charge called “Raw on 5”, meaning that this is a fish restaurant with a lot of Sushi. (But I also saw them doing a sort of “Fish and Chips”.

Now this I really liked. Hand wash station at the entrance to the Ocean View Cafe. There was also a Lady permanently on duty to give a disinfectant squirt for your hands before walking in. Unfortunately it was shocking to see how many guests ignored both the the hand wash station and the Lady. And then they all complain later when the ships are getting Norovirus.

The Eden Room and below the Eden Restaurant (has a cover charge) this photo was take in the morning of the Repeat guest party after most people had left.

The covered pool or “Solarium” on Deck 14. This photo was taken early in the morning in port. Full house.

Celebrity also has a children’s program with two lounges tucked away on Deck 2 near the ships hospital.  This is the teens which was empty on a port day, and then there is a space for 4 to 12 (or similar ages) which had a group of small girls all fully engrossed in a movie called “Frozen”.

With Led screens and good lighting you can put a lounge in flames. This show was called “Rockumentary” a tribute to the most well known rock groups and singers. Nice thing was that everybody was encouraged to take photos and videos of the show, while on most other ships there is always a stern warning not to do so.

All through the ship there is art. Some very large pieces and some very quirky. We came across this one in the smoking area outside the Eden. It is called “Looking Beyond” by Joaquin Vila. As it was raining the crew had put a warning out for the slippery deck and by creating a kneeling figure it looks like it that the artist was anticipating this.

And another one on Deck 14 at the roof top grill entrance. This is by another Spanish artist called Jaume Plensa and the sculpture is called “Duality”

The only seat that was nearly always available was this piece of art (with a nice Lady sitting on it) outside the “EDEN lounge ” entrance. It is called “Empower Flower” and made of fiberglass by the Brazilian artist Ruben Robierb.

Maintenance in progress sign. It reads: “Deck therapy in session. It is so high maintenance”

Funny 2: I liked the maintenance sign used by the sailors carrying out maintenance. It generates a smile which takes the immediate annoyance away and this looks so much better.

Gangway on Deck 4. Very handy for disembarkation if you have missed the announcement.

Very nice touch 3: This pops up on your TV when you return to the cabin before going to bed.
