TOUR KICKS OFF SEPT 30TH WITH 26 ARENA SHOWS ACROSS THE U.S.

Latin music’s most iconic duo, Wisin & Yandel, have announced that they will embark on one final epic tour to celebrate the upcoming release of their newest album and 19 years as a duo, making these shows the last time fans can see them on stage together. Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on September 30 at Miami’s FTX Arena making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, New York, Houston and more before wrapping up in their home island of Puerto Rico at the Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot on December 2. 

Today during the duo’s tour press conference, Sony Music Latin presented Wisin & Yandel with the following RIAA Certifications for their previous studio album Los Campeones Del Pueblo | “THE BIG LEAGUES “: Los Campeones Del Pueblo | “The Big Leagues” – 5X Multi-Platinum, ” Reggaetón En Lo Oscuro” – 6X Multi-Platinum, “Chica Bombastic” – Gold, Platinum and 2x Multi-Platinum, “Dame Algo” – Gold, Platinum and 3x Multi-Platinum, “Callao”– Gold, Platinum and 3x Multi-Platinum; “Aullando” – Gold, Platinum & 22x Multi-Platinum, “Ganas De Ti” – Gold, Platinum & 2x Multi-Platinum, “Guaya”– Gold & Platinum, “La Luz” – Gold and Platinum, “Ojalá” – Gold & Platinum, “Deseo ” – Gold and “Mi Intención” – Gold.

Wisin & Yandel recently released the second single “ No Se Olvida ” from their upcoming album La Última Misión and will be honored with the “President’s Award” from BMI on March 15, 2022.

Wisin & Yandel are one of the most respetcted reggaeton duos in the genre’s history. After teaming up in the Nineties, they recently announced a  tour called La Ultima Misión —  their final one together. 

Though each of the two members has had his own succesful, decades-long career, they’ve made magic together. Some of their biggest songs include reggaeton classics such as “Rakata,” “Sexy Movimiento,” and “Pam Pam.”

As part of La Ultima Misión, the artist took the stage at Madison Square Garden and performed for thousands of screaming fans. 

The 26-city tour, which kicked off on Sept. 30 at Miami’s FTX Arena, has taken the artist across the U.S. as they perform some of the biggest hits. 

Wisin & Yandel started the performance with a bang, starting things off with tons of stage flares, explosions, and flashing lights for a production worthy of their revered careers. 

The audience spanned all ages and represented different parts of Latin America. Many fans from Wisin & Yandel’s native Puerto Rico brought giant flags and showed the island love during the performance.

The artists kicked off the night with “Ahora Es,” their hit from 2007 that soared up the charts. 

Throughout the night, they played more from their arsenal of Number Ones: The whole arena sang back with them as they launched into “Noche de Sexo,” “Saoco,” “Mayor Que Yo,” and more.

In addition to their tour, the duo is planning to drop their final album, also called La Ultima Mision , which will feature highly anticipated collaborations with Rauw Alejandro, Jennifer Lopez, Prince Royce, and more.

“Our career as a duo has been blessed and successful,” Wisin told Billboard earlier this year. “We can’t predict the future but we’re very responsible for the brand and that’s what we want to do in this tour. We want our fans to remember the 2000s hits. More than a goodbye, it’s trajectory.”

Fans celebrated the decades of music and perreo Wisin & Yandel represent. Their last album, Los Campeones Del Pueblo “The Big Leagues from 2018, included “Reggaetón En Lo Oscuro,” which went five-times-platinum; “Chica Bombastic,” which went six-times-platinum; and “Ganas De Ti,” which went gold, platinum, and 22-times-platinum.

Wisin & Yandel’s career includes a Grammy award for their 2009 album La Revolución , and two Latin Grammys — Best Urban Song for “Abusadora” and Best Urban Music Album for Los Extraterrestres . 

The concert featured Wisin & Yandel’s high-energy dancers, who amped up the crowd and elicited huge cheers from the audience.

“Wisin & Yandel is an established brand that with all the respect we deserve, we need to close this cycle how it should be,” Yandel said after announcing the tour earlier this year. 

The guys closed the night with some of their most classic contributins to reggaeton. They performed “Rakata,” which helped reggaeton break at a global level, and “Algo Me Gusta En Ti,” a smash that spent 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.

The duo is on track to break its own record by selling out 14 consecutive nights at El Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in Deember. They first made history by selling out eight straight nights there in 2018.

Wisin & Yandel wrapped up the night after working through all their beloved hits. They’ll hit other major cities, including Montreal, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles before ending the tour in Puerto Rico.

Veteran reggaeton giants Wisin & Yandel have announced their final tour as a duo taking place later in 2022 behind their next album 'La Ultima Misión' . The 25-city excursion kicks off September 30th in Miami and extends through November making notable U.S. stops in New York, Rosemont, Sugarland, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Canadian dates are planned for Toronto and Montreal. Back in 2018, the pair launched their Como Antes Tour which stretched into 2019 and was nominated for Tour of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards.

Wisin & Yandel's new album 'La Ultima Misión' follows up 2018's 'Los Campeones del Pueblo' which was certified 4x Platinum (Latin) by the RIAA and features guest appearances by Ozuna , Romeo Santos , Bad Bunny , Maluma , Miky Woodz , Zion & Lennox and Farruko . Their 2007 album 'Los Extraterrestres' won Best Latin Urban Album at the Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards and Lo Nuestro Awards. The Puerto Rican duo formed back in 1998 and consists of Juan Luis Morera Luna ( Wisin ) and Llandel Veguilla Malavé Salazar ( Yandel ).

Yandel Announces 2024 Tour — Here’s Everything to Know

After concluding his  Wisin y Yandel era  last year, Yandel is continuing his musical trajectory as a soloist. On Jan. 9, the Puerto Rican reggaeton star announced his upcoming international tour. His freshly unveiled YANDEL 2024 tour will start in Los Angeles, CA, on Jan. 12 and wrap up in Mexico City, Mexico, on Nov. 23.

The tour video  announcement  features a security team looking at camera footage of someone stealing a laptop. The security team catches the thief and brings him and the stolen laptop to their office. When security opens the computer, an email reveals that Yandel is going on tour. In the following clip, the security turns into an alien and asks the robber: “Con quién ibas al concerto de Yandel? [Who are you going to Yandel’s concert with?]” The robber panics and starts to sweat. The now-alien security laughs.

The highly-anticipated YANDEL 2024 tour will reach the U.S., Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. It will also make stops in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, and Guatemala. The tour will kick off at the  Calibash festival  in Los Angeles, CA, on Jan. 12. It will then proceed to Buenos Aires, Argentina (Jan. 18), Santiago, Chile (Jan. 20), Montevideo, Uruguay (Jan. 21), San Jose, Costa Rica (Jan. 28), and Cochabamba, Bolivia (Feb. 11). It will continue to Santa Cruz, Bolivia (Feb. 12), Medellín, Colombia (Feb. 17), Caracas, Venezuela (Mar. 2), and Quito, Ecuador (Mar. 15).

Yandel will then perform in Guadalajara, Mexico (Apr. 17), Monterrey, Mexico (Apr. 20), and Mexico City, Mexico (Apr. 21). The following dates include Guatemala City, Guatemala (Apr. 26), before heading to Spain for ten dates in July. The last LatAm dates are in Baja California, Mexico, on Aug. 10 and Mexico City, Mexico, on Nov. 23.

Según Andy Martínez, mánager de Yandel, “desafortunadamente la patrulla marítima de la policía nos pidió de favor que no continuaran con el sonido por todo el trayecto porque todo el tráfico colapsó” y más de 50 patrullas de la policía trataban de controlar a los fanáticos que intentaban llegar al puente y seguir ruta de la lancha.

Sin embargo, Martínez dijo a Billboard que todo estaba bajo control. El equipo de Feid había obtenido “todos los permisos con la Guardia Costera y todo estaba en orden súper puntual”.
