Duration: 8 hours approximately (from Rethymnon)

Overview: We begin our safari tour around 9:00 in the morning, from Rethymnon, of where we will drive southwards, across wine yards, to reach the village of Castello and a wonderful church of Agia Paraskevi, hidden in a laurel forest. Afterwards, we will pass through traditional Cretan small villages, Balsamonero discovering the rural life of Creta. Continuing southwards, driving to Ano & Kato Malaki and cross the famous gorges of Kotsifou and we will reach the wonderful Plakias' beach where we will enjoy a refreshing swimming and a delicious BBQ.

After this break, we will drive along a breathtaking off-road track in the mountains, which will lead us northwards to the wonderful village of Georgioupoli, with its refreshing springs and we will drive along the old roman vestiges of Lapa. Our way back home starts around 17:00 in the afternoon.

Lunch includes One pork steak or chicken fillet per person, salad bar Cretan salads, Tzatziki, bread, fruits, soft drinks and a glass of wine.

A unique experience begins with the sole purpose of adventure and fun.

The starting point of our excursion is the city of Rethymno at 09:00 am. Initially, we will cross the village of Giannoudi to reach the Gorge of Prasses, where we have the chance to see the rare vultures that live there. Then, we continue to Fragma Potamon, which is one of the finest and most expensive structures of the island, rich in beauty. It’s a perfect place to take some pictures. The village of Karines is famous for its hospitality and the traditions that remain unchanged in time. Our next stop is the historical village of Spili, with the famous lion-head fountains that pour cold water from the mountain all year long. Then we will be able to cross through some small traditional villages, such as Mourne. We will stop at a traditional tavern and we will meet the Cretan cuisine on its best, combined with unlimited pure Cretan wine. Continuing the route, we will have the chance to stop at one of the most beautiful and clean beaches of southern Crete Preveli. Preveli is an exotic place with dreamy landscapes offered by the forest of palm trees and crystal clear blue waters. Our next stop is the Kourtaliotis Gorge, where we can admire the wild side of Cretan nature. Finally, after some beautiful villages, like Armeni and Koxare, you will find yourself in the Three Monasteries where the amazing view of the city of Rethymnon will fascinate you. And somewhere here, our trip reaches its destination on the final point which is not other than that of the Rethymnon at approximately 05:00 pm.

Take a tour in the wild nature of crete

Our trips offer you a mixed ride over dirt tracks and mountain roads, giving you plenty of time to see the nature around you. Together with one of our experienced drivers you will follow farmer paths to interesting places in Rethymno like ancient Elefterna, Arkadi monastery or the Amari Valley. On both our tours, with a maximum of ten of our +350cc quads, you will explore the greater area of Rethymno mostly off road. Not always do we escape the tarmac, for example on the Sunset Cruise we do a longer ride on tarmac, however we do our best to keep the tarmac as limited as possible.

Nature Safari

Explore the wild nature of Crete​. Our most popular morning tour takes you to the edge of the Amari Valley and offers you magnificent views over the lake Potami from high above. On our trip we do not stop at one specific site for a visit, instead, we allow for many shorter photo stops.  We will drive our quads amidst the wild nature of Rethymno and if we are lucky we should spot some griffon vultures that can often be sighted in the area we are passing through. With a wingspan of 2.6m and a body length of up to 1m, these birds are the largest to be found on Crete. From the high edge of the Prasses Gorge, we drop down in altitude towards the Potami dam for a full circuit around the lake.  Right next to the lake we will stop at a small kaffinio where you can get a refreshment and visit the toilet. Afterwards we head up to high above the lake again, to reach our trip’s highest altitude of 620m. Crossing the peak, we will then follow the other side of the mountain back to our departure point.

Sunset Safari

Drive off into the sunset!  Our second tour offers you a relaxing ride into the sunset. This is a evening safari (47Km) and ends with amazing views of the sunset over Rethymno. Via narrow roads, dirt paths and asphalt, our leader will guide you to fantastic viewpoints high above the Potami damn and Rethymno. We will stop for an appetizer and enjoy the local taste of Raki at the highest restaurant in the Rethymno area while we watch the sunset. After the snacks we will slowly make our way down to the departure point.
