Tata Safari is an icon in the Indian automobile industry. Well maintained examples are still holding their values quite well. There is still a strong cult following behind the Safari. It is known for its tough build quality and capabilities. Because of this, even our Indian army uses a Tata Safari, which is called GS800. You must have seen a lot of different modified Safari’s but this one is a bit different. Here, we have a Safari Dicor that has been modified to have a 6 wheel setup.

To do this, the body of the Safari has been extended as we can see in the pictures. This Safari is located in Haryana and the modification work was done by a local shop. On the sides, there are Velociraptor 6×6 stickers. World-famous, Hennessey Performance Engineering have a modified version of the Ford F-150 that they call VelociRaptor 6×6. It costs a whopping $ 349,000. Whereas, this Safari modification cost around Rs. 8 lakhs.

There is also a “Ladakh” decal on the side which has been inspired by the Ladakh Expedition concept of the Safari that Tata Motors showcased at the Auto Expo 2014. There are certain design elements that are taken from the Concept and they have been implemented on the modified Safari.

Up-front, there is a new grille that is finished in black colour. There are additional LED lights placed in the lower airdam. The biggest addition to the front is the bug deflector that really changes the whole look of the SUV. It looks more butch and makes the SUV look bulkier from the front. There are additional LED auxiliary lights placed on the roof that will help in increasing the visibility while off-roading.

The major changes are done to the rear half of the Safari. It is now longer than the regular Safari Dicor. At first, the added length might not look much but when you notice the length of the rear quarter window, then you would be able to tell that the rear half is much longer than the regular Safari Dicor.

Because of the longer body, there is an additional axle installed. For this, the shop needed to increase the length of the chassis. The SUV is running on all-terrain tyres and different alloy wheels. Usually, alloy wheels are not preferred for off-roading. There is also a spare tyre mounted on the tailgate which also comes with the same alloy wheel design.

The owner has reported that it is not a live axle. This means that no amount of power from the engine is transported to the additional axle. So, the SUV might look like a 6×6 but in reality, it is a 6×4 SUV. The vehicle was not modified to increase the off-roading capabilities. It was originally modified to provide extra room to the rear occupants.

The modified Safari Dicor does look butch and has a lot of road presence because it is not every day that you see a 6×6 vehicle on our Indian roads. Having said that it is important to know that such kinds of modifications are not allowed in India. The RTO does not approve such modifications and the vehicle can get seized.

Tata Safari Storme Ladakh Edition Review

Tata has always proven itself in term of the off-road capabilities of its Safari from all the other competitors. No doubt other can do it well, but Tata Safari has always been famous for doing it much better than just well. The proud new Storme gets a totally updated version, made for expeditions only. It has been named Safari Storme Ladakh edition, making it clear that it’s made for the roads less travelled.

The new Safari Storme stays same from its engine point of view and uses the 2179 cc motor, producing 140 BHP and 320 NM of torque. It’s a 4x4 machine, making out the most possible from every kind of terrain. It comes with the same 5-speed manual transmission being used on the normal Safari Storme.

The changes are basically exterior based. It has got the all new styling, starting from the all-terrain tyres for better grip on every type of surface. The tyres are much wider and the suspension would have also been worked upon for a better riding experience. It has got the all new blue theme design, with Grey body cladding all around its body.

It also has a roof mounted storage area, most probably having all the necessary items of trekking like tents, ropes and other equipment. It comes with LED headlamps for much better visibility in non-ideal lighting conditions and a GoPro cam fixed for recording the Ladakh journey.

The vehicle has been specially designed taking care of all the needs of an adventure sport lover, even safeguarding his car from the intense surroundings. The car has been displayed at the Auto Expo 2014 and is expected to stay only as a concept. If ever arrived, it will be for around INR 15-16 lakhs and a fully ready off roader at this price would not be a bad option for every adventure lover.

Tata has kept on display a new Safari Storme Ladakh Concept at the Auto Expo which is probably the most stunning car of the stall. It is aimed at off-road adventure seekers who wish to tackle any terrain with real ease.

The Safari Storme Ladakh demonstrates the DriveNext approach which, according to Tata, offers the driver best of driving dynamics, fantastic drive feel and precise steering control. It is a fine art of balance and handling and possess a responsive powertrain.

Interesting Features of Tata Safari Storme Ladakh Concept:

• Satin white colour along with textured Rock Grey and Soft Anodized Blue

We were not allowed to climb up and check out its interiors, but Tata says that the interiors comprise of sporty dark space with a few accents of anodised blue that resonate Ladakh landscape.

Just looking at it, the new Ladakh Concept looks brilliant and rugged. It gets a mean looking face and innovatively placed LED fog lamps. If you look closely there is a Go-Pro camera fitted at the front to record all your thrills when you go on an expedition. The 18 inch balloon extra rugged tyres further enhance the looks of an already gorgeous looker.

The iconic Tata Safari nameplate was discontinued last year in the Indian market after years of production. The Tata Safari has remained an important car in the Indian market and in the initial days, it became quite popular too. There are many who still give high regard to Safari, especially because of its tough build quality. Well, there are a few heavily modified versions of Tata Safari too but what we have is definitely the most extreme one that you will ever see. This is a Tata Safari Dicor that has been modified with an extended body and has 6 wheels!

This car is located in Haryana and the owner has modified the vehicle from a nearby workshop. However, looking at the Velociraptor 6×6 stickers on the side, we can gather that good amount of research has gone into this modification. For the uninitiated, the Velociraptor 6X6 is a modification house who transform SUVs into 6X6 vehicles.

The Tata Safari modified here also gets a lot of other stickers on it including the “Ladakh” edition one. Tata showcased the Ladakh Expedition concept of the Safari at the 2014 Auto Expo and this vehicle draws a few design inspiration from that too.

At the front, the grille has been updated and now gets an all-black colour. Everything else remains in stock form. Also, there is an addition of a stone deflector in the front that really changes the whole look of the vehicle and makes it look bulkier. Also, there are LED auxiliary lamps mounted to the roof of the car.

The primary changes have been done to the body of the vehicle. Itis now longer than the stock Safari. The rear has been extended by quite a lot and that is why you get to see the bigger window glass in the rear. To support the longer body, there is an addition axle in the vehicle too. The chassis length has been increased and an addition axle has been put in place.

The owner said that the vehicle’s new axle is not live, which means there is no power supplied to it. Since it was a 4X4 car in stock condition, this vehicle can be referred to as a 6X4 SUV. The owner has not modified it for increasing its off-roading capabilities. Instead, the extra room in the rear is the primary motive behind the modification.

The cost of this modification is around Rs 8 lakhs but it should be noted that since a lot of structural changes are involved, it is not RTO approved and the vehicle can get seized too.

This Modified Tata Safari Dicor 6x6 Is Only One Of Its Type

Tata Safari is an iconic name in the Indian automotive scene. It was first launched in 1998 and was on sale in the country until last year. During its production run of over 20 years, the design of the Safari remained largely the same. However, it received 2 major mid-cycle updates during its lifecycle, which came along with 2 new suffixes – Dicor and Varicor. The Safari still enjoys a cult status around the Indian masses, and thus, a lot of them can be seen modified with aftermarket alloys and more. However, here’s one, which has been stretched out and converted into a 6-wheeled monster.

Tata Sumo 6X6 Pick-up Truck Imagined Digitally

Talking of the modifications on this Safari Dicor, the most evident one is the addition of the third axle. It has been done by stretching the frame and body of the SUV. However, the chassis is only tweaked out after the mounting points of the rear axle. Also, the third axle is a rigid axle but not a live one. In simpler words, this 6-wheeled Safari features a 6X4 layout. The third axle is not connected with a propeller shaft.

The other modifications on this Safari include a hood deflector at the front, a deflector at the front windscreen, and a set of aftermarket alloy wheels. The owner has also performed a decal job on this car that reads as ‘Safari Ladakh’, which seems to be inspired by the Safari Ladakh concept that showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. On the rear quarter panel, the owner has also used sticker of VelociRaptor 6X6, which is the 6-wheeled version of the Ford’s F-150 Raptor.

Modified Mahindra Bolero 6X6 Looks Gothic, Gets Engine From Scoprio

We aren’t aware of the modifications performed under its hood if any. From the factory, Tata Safari Dicor was offered with a 2.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged common rail diesel engine. This engine produced a peak power output of 140 PS and max torque of 320 Nm. It came mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only, whereas an optional 4WD layout was also on offer. The 4WD system of the Safari was an electronic one and featured Shift-On-Fly mechanism, where the user could shift from 2H to 4H up to speeds of 60 kmph. Also, it featured a limited-slip differential at the rear to suffice in case of limited traction.

The third largest island in the Mediterranean with a 648km coastline, Cyprus is a place of hidden coves, busy beach resorts, quiet villages and rugged terrain.

A very appealing Mediterranean climate makes it possible to enjoy pleasant weather year-round here, with 340 days of sunshine annually. Things heat up from around April, rising to more than 40C sometimes during the long, hot, summers. Winters are relatively mild with rain between December and February.

• Cyprus is named after the Greek word for copper because it once had large resources of the metal.

• The island has a huge population of cats – legend has it that they were originally brought over to Cyprus in the 4th century to help deal with poisonous snakes.

• Cyprus claims to be the sunniest country in Europe with an average of 340 days of sunshine per year.

• Nicosia continues to be the only divided capital city in world, which has been the case since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

• The village of Lefkara in central Cyprus is renowned for making lace and it is believed even Leonardo Da Vinci purchased lace from Lefkara in the 15th century.

The southern city is known for its combination of historic sites, sunny weather and sandy beaches. One of its most iconic natural attractions is the white salt lake, which attracts thousands of flamingos every winter. The city is also home to several fascinating historic sites such as the Unesco-listed ancient ruins of Choirokoitia and Byzantine monuments. Enjoy a meal on the seafront overlooking the Mediterranean, or head inland into more authentic neighbourhoods filled with traditional whitewashed buildings. Larnaca is an excellent base to explore the rest of the island thanks to a network of modern motorways.

This city and region on the western coast of Cyprus features some of the island’s most iconic sights such as the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite at Old Paphos, also known as Kouklia. The new city blends modern infrastructure with natural attractions, such as its harbour, and a rich history that can be seen at Paphos Archaeological Park with its tombs, villas, theatres and fortresses. The Paphos region has the longest coastline in Cyprus and is known for having some of the most unspoilt areas of the island. Both the city and surrounding areas have been undergoing a major regeneration of facilities as part of its status as European Capital of Culture for 2017.

The capital city has been divided since the Turkish invasion of 1974 and the ‘Green Line’ buffer zone is still manned by the United Nations. The southern part of Nicosia is also known as Lefkosia. Tourists can now visit both parts of the city in a single day to experience the cultural contrasts between the Greek and Turkish areas of Nicosia. While the city is less of a tourist hub than Cyprus’ coastal gateways, there’s plenty to see including the Venetian Walls of the old city, Cyprus Museum and Shacolas Tower to enjoy spectacular views of northern Cyprus. Nicosia is also home to some of the island’s best restaurants and finest shops.

At first glance, Cypriot cuisine may seem very similar to Greek food and many of the classic Greek specialties, such as moussaka, kleftiko, stuffed vine leaves and souvlakia (kebabs), will be found on most menus. There is also a strong Middle Eastern flavour to many Cypriot dishes, particularly in the form of its meze dishes. One of Cyprus’ most famous delicacies is grilled halloumi hand-made cheese. Cypriots tend to eat out after 8pm and the best places to find authentic local restaurants include the old towns of cities such as Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia.

Cypriot culture is one of the richest in the Mediterranean due to its history of being colonised by the region’s great powers over the last few millennia.

All of these empires have left their marks on the island while most of the current population have either Greek or Turkish heritage.

Cypriots of all backgrounds are hugely welcoming to visitors and particularly to families with young children. They are also extremely inquisitive and love to find out about where their guests come from.

This population can number up to 10,000 flamingos between November and March. More than 380 species of bird can be seen on the island due to Cyprus being on the migration route between Europe and Africa, including magnificent falcons and eagles. Sea turtles are another attraction with Lara Beach on the Akamas Peninsula, near Paphos, being one of their favourite spots to nest – there is a conservation station on the beach to protect these fascinating creatures. The unique moufflon species of sheep can also be spotted in the forests near Paphos.

The island’s history dates back more than 10,000 years and is known as the birthplace of the mythical Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. Many empires once ruled Cyprus including the ancient Greeks, Persians, Romans, Ottomans and the British. The country endured a turbulent period in the middle of the 20th century before becoming an independent republic in 1960, only to see the island divided into north and south by the Turkish invasion in 1974. The United Nations continues to patrol the ‘Green Line’ that separates the two parts of the island. Tensions have eased in recent years and tourists can now travel from the south to the north and back again.

Cyprus Travel Guide: Unique Mediterranean Island

Cyprus is an island country located underneath Turkey in the Mediterranean Sea. Although it’s technically located in Asia, it’s still part of the European Union (except for the Northern part of the island). The island has strong Greek influences but you can also notice Turkish influences. It’s slightly bigger than Crete. With a rich history and beautiful coastlines, it’s a great island to combine a beach holiday with culture. So who’s ready for some Cyprus travel?

Cyprus is divided into two parts. The southern part is known as the Republic of Cyprus. The northern part is known as the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus but is only officially recognized by Turkey. Normally it’s quite easy to travel between the two, however, rules apply which we will describe later in this blog. Because of the pandemic, it was pretty hard to visit the northern part, so in this blog we will only focus on the southern part of Cyprus.

We traveled to Cyprus at the beginning of September 2021 and traveled all over the island. There is plenty to see and visit and in this Ultimate Cyprus Travel Guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about visiting this country.

Things to know,    visa.

The southern part of Cyprus is part of the EU and is a so-called Schengen Country. Residents and citizens from other Schengen countries, EU, or EEA do not need a visa to enter. If you are from another country you have to check this website to see if you need a visa or not.

The northern part is not recognized by Europe and is considered “illegal”. Both parts have airports but if you arrive in Cyprus in the northern part you are not allowed to go to the southern part because they say you illegally entered Cyprus and the EU. However, you can fly out from the northern part towards Turkey without problems.

   Climate

Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters. During the winter months, there is a lot of rainfall, especially during December and January. Day temperatures vary from 33°C (91°F) midsummer to 17°C (63°F) in the winter months.

   Best time to visit

The best time to visit Cyprus is from May to October when the weather is warm and there is not much rain expected. If you don’t like the big crowds we could advise you to avoid July and August which are the hottest months as well. If you like warm sea temperatures it’s best to go between July and October.

  Money

The currency used in South Cyprus is Euro.

At the time of writing (November 2021) 1 USD is approximately €0,89.

The price for one night in a hotel starts at around €45. A dinner for two at a mid-range restaurant costs about €20 to €30.

   Language

The official languages in Cyprus are Greek and Turkish. Locals however also developed a Cypriot dialect. Most people also speak English.

   Internet

At most places like hotels and restaurants, there is free wifi. If you have an EU sim-card roaming is at the same cost as your normal abonnement. Be careful around the green zone (the line that separates the northern and the southern part) because your phone might switch to a Turkish provider and that can be expensive.

   Culture

In the southern part, there is a Cypriot Greek culture that looks a lot like the normal Greek culture. The main religion is Greek Orthodox Christian. The northern part has a Turkish Culture and the main religion is Islam. In the southern part, you can find churches and mosques, however, in the northern part are not many churches left. The vibes in the southern part feel like Greek with Turkish influences.

Traveling to Cyprus

Cyprus is an island quite far away from the mainland and you can only travel to Cyprus by plane. There are 2 international airports in the southern part: Larnaca and Paphos. Larnaca is the biggest of the two. Then there is a third airport in the northern part, Ercan Airport, but as described above, entering through this airport is considered illegal by the southern part of Cyprus and the EU. If you are going to visit Turkey afterward you can fly out from this airport without a problem, since it offers the cheapest flights into Turkey.

Getting Around in Cyprus

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and it offers several ways to travel around. Our preferred way of traveling around in Cyprus is renting a car so you can explore the whole island easily. If you drive from Ayia Napa in the east to Polis in the west it is over 200 km. The roads are really good and there is a highway along the southern coast. Please take note that Cyprus is a former colony of Great Britain and they drive on the left side of the road. You can also rent a motorbike or quad bike, but as mentioned above it’s a large island and you might get a sore bum.

When renting a car in South Cyprus, you can easily cross the border over to North Cyprus. There are 8 border crossings in total. Firstly check if your rental car has an insurance to drive in North Cyprus though. As told before, the other way around (going from north to south) is not possible by rental car.

Another option to go around is by public transport. There is a good public bus system running from Monday to Saturday. Furthermore, you can also book tours to get from one point to another. The third option is to take a taxi.

Cyprus Must Sees

Larnaca is the biggest city on the east side of the island. Some of the things we would recommend to visit here are:

• Church of Saint Lazarus – A late 9th-century church
• Medieval Castle – Larnaca Fort – A 14th-century coastal fort
• Grand Mosque – Beautiful mosque in a historic building
• Piale Pasha, the sea front street – Larnacas’ first seafront street, starting from the Medieval Castle
• Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque – Beautiful mosque near at the edge of the Salt Lake
• Larnaca Salt lake – Huge salt lake which is completely white when dried out

Ayia Napa is located in the most eastern part of Cyprus. It is famous for its many resorts and hotels but besides that, there are many incredible places to visit here like:

• Makronissos Tombs & Beach – Beautiful old tombs with a beach nearby
• Ayia Napa Monastery – An old monastery, located in the city center
• Nissi Beach – One of the most popular beaches of Cyprus where you can walk through the water to Nissi Island
• Love Bridge (Coordinates: 34.982562, 34.016464) – A stunning natural bridge facing towards the sunset
• Agia Saranta Cave Church – An old church built into a cave
• St Nicholas Church – A white church with a blue dome near the waterfront
• Cape Greco National Forest Park – Interesting rock formations, Konnos Beach, and nice walking trails
• Sea Caves – Multiple caves along next to the rough sea with stunning views

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus, located in the north of the southern side. The city is divided in two because the green line runs straight through it for almost 60 years already. The green line is the UN-forced buffer zone, a kind of no man’s land between the north and the south side. The places we recommend visiting in Nicosia are:

• The Green Line – A strip of no-mans-land that splits the city into two
• Nicosia’s old town – Narrow streets and interesting old buildings
• The Venetian wall & the Famagusta gate – These walls, built in the Middle Age surround the old town of Nicosia
• Shacolas Tower observatory – From the tower, you can look around 360 degrees over both parts of Nicosia

Lefkara is a small town with real cute streets filled with Greek vibes and shouldn’t be missed during your Cyprus travel. It’s also the birthplace of the Cypriotic lace called Lefkaritiko. We would advise visiting this town as a little detour when you make your way from Larnaca to Limassol or the other way around. It’s the perfect place to wander around in the cute streets, have a chat with the friendly locals, and get some souvenirs. 

Limassol is a city where you can find many ancient sights which are worth visiting.

In the center you can find:

• Limassol Castle – Old castle close to the harbour
• The Grand Mosque – An old mosque close to the Limassol Castle
• The old town – The area where you can find the castle, the mosque, and the old port

West of the city you can find more amazing places:

• Lady’s Mile beach – This 5 km long beach is the longest of Cyprus and leads to the Akrotiri Peninsula
• Kolossi Castle – A big, square formed castle a little bit out of the city
• Kourion Archaeological Site – One of the most impressive archeological sites of an ancient Greek city
• Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates – Ancient site whit a partially renovated greek temple

If you drive further towards Paphos we would recommend you to visit Aphrodite’s Rock, one of the most famous places in Cyprus.

Paphos is the biggest city on the west side of Cyprus and a great base to explore everything in this area. Some of the places you should not miss in the center of Paphos:

• Paphos Archaeological Park – A big archaeological area in the center of Paphos
• Hrysopolitissa church – An old basilica close the the Paphos Archaeological Park
• Tombs of the Kings – The most impressive tombs on the island in a pretty good state

And the things close to Paphos we don’t want you to miss:

• Daytrip to Polis. We would recommend renting a quad bike there and exploring Akamas National Park where you can find the beautiful Blue Lagoons. You can’t drive the road in Akamas with a normal car, hence we would recommend a quad.
• Edro III Shipwreck – An almost 100m long shipwreck located close to the shore since 2011

Pavlo Napa Beach Hotel was a great place to stay. We ended our Cyprus travel trip here to relax and explore the beautiful surroundings of Ayia Napa. The hotel was located perfectly, right on the beach of a small bay and close to the most popular Nissi Beach. The large pool with many sunbeds was great for relaxing. It offers stays with breakfast only, but also half board or all-inclusive options. We had a great stay and love to come back here someday!

• Above Tour cost based on 1 USD = 84.2 INR** as per Today i.e. Tuesday, May 28, 2024
• Any Increase in Airfare, Visa Fees, Airport Tax & Forex will be applicable.
• One can enroll His/Her name for the tour by paying 50% of the total tour cost for any tour as advance. The balance amount must be paid at least 30 days before schedule date of departure of the tour, without waiting for reminder from our side.
• Tourist travel at their own risk. Neither the tour operator nor their representative or staff accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, etc. During the tour howsoever it might have caused.
• The operator also reserves the right to cancel or alter the routes, carriers, time table, itinerary and hotel accommodation with or without prior notice.
• Any increase in Train / Air / Bus / Visa / Cruise fares should be borne by the passenger only.
• The management reserves the right to take all necessary steps including suspending the passenger who creates trouble for the management or to other fellow passengers.
• During sight seeing we will take the vehicle to certain limit or to the permissible point only, from that point any arrangement to be made all extra expenses shall have to be borne by the passengers only.
• We always try to provide excellent services to our beloved passenger. Even though if any passenger has any complain or claim it must be given in writing to our office within 15 days after completion of the tour. No complain or claim will be entertained after such period.
• Refunds if any will be given after a period of 10 days from the date admissible claim. Refunds will be paid only by cheque and only against original Receipts. Hotels are subject to changes without Prior Notice.
• Timing mentioned for the journey are only estimated for the sake of knowledge. There are frequent changes of delay in arrival at the destination due to various reasons.
• The seats in the bus are allotted on First come First Serve basis at the time of booking of the tour.
• All disputes / legal claims are subject to Mumbai jurisdiction only.
• Extra bed in the room means only extra mattress. (No cot)
• In case of postponement of Inbound Journey date change charges Rs. 2000/- per pax per change shall be applicable.
• Any Govt. Tax levied must be borne by the passengers only.
• Preponement of journey is not allowed. It will be treated as cancellation & accordingly the cancellation charges will be applicable.
• If accommodation is not available in the identified / specific hotel for the particular package tour due to reason beyond our control, we shall make our best efforts to shift the clients to hotel maintaining / having more or less the same standard. No complaint or claim shall be made by the client in this respect.
• There is no REFUND payable for unutilized services during the course of tour. This includes meals, sight seeing, optional tours, hotels, etc.
• All the passengers will have to carry foreign currency of minimum USD 500 per person.
• Wonder Earth Tour acts as a representative of the passenger to apply Visa on his behalf with all the relevant documents as per the rules of the respective consulates. It is the passenger responsibility to comply with all the requirements of the respective consulates and obtain the Visa. We will not be responsible or liable for any additional expenses incurred due to non - availability of Visa, error in dates of Visa granted or scanned photograph on the Visa. In case of refusal of Visa all cancellation charges will be applicable including the non - refundable booking amount.
• If any Airline is delayed or Canceled, Wonder Earth Tour is not responsible for any compensation for Hotels, Meals, Sight Seeing or any other claim.

Liability:-

• We are travel agent and holiday organizers only and act as agent for clients on one side and the operators of various facilities on the other side in the best interest of the clients. We do not own any hotel, do not control or operate any airline and other services like transport, services of guide(s) or any individual services etc. Although we try our best to arrange and render best services yet we do not hold any responsibility on any account whatsoever of the performance of the hotel, airlines, guide services, transport services, opening of the sight seeing places, other services or anything else on which we do not have direct control. We do not bear any responsibility and shall not be liable, whatsoever for any dissatisfaction, loss of life and property, death, damages, etc. Caused by the act of default or employees of such Independent contractors and also consequences arising out of the natural calamities, strikes, breakdown in facilities, accidents, negligence, delay in any services of all concerned and for any act of commission or commission errors, etc. We shall not be responsible for any loss / damages / claim financial compensation and any liability in any respect and on any account whatsoever. It is advisable to take comprehensive insurance including illness, accidental or any other events.

Cancellation Charges:-

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.
• From the date of booking to 46 days prior to the scheduled departure of tour . . . . . 25%
• Between 45 days to 31 days prior to the scheduled departure of tour . . . . . 50%
• Between 30 days to 16 days prior to the scheduled departure of tour . . . . . 75%
• Before 15 days to 08 days of schedule departure of tour . . . . . 90%

Please be advised that post visa refusal, applicants cannot lodge an application for visa up to 6 months from the date of refusal.

Applicants can only file for an appeal with VFS along with an appeal letter. This process may take 2- 3 weeks. If approved, the Embassy will guide on the process to be followed for such applications.

SYRIAN AND TURKISH Nationals must apply for Cyprus Visa directly at the Cyprus Embassy in Abu Dhabi . VFS Global cannot accept applications for Syrian and Turkish Nationals.

Customers applying at VFS Global Abu Dhabi shall be levied a service charge of AED 105.00 (inclusive of VAT) per application.

Customers applying at VFS Global Dubai shall be levied a service charge of AED 155.00 (inclusive of VAT) per application.

Please be informed that the fees charged by the Embassy or VFS Global are based on the current exchange rate in local currency and may be subject to change without prior notification.

VFS service fee (inclusive of VAT) is charged per visa application, in addition to the applicable visa fee.

All fees can be paid by cash or card.

Applicant can apply for multiple entry Cyprus visa only if they have travelled to Cyprus 3 times within the last 5 years.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Customers under employment must provide NOC or Salary Certificate that is originally signed by authorized signatory and originally stamped. Copies/ Printouts/Scanned copies of Original and electronic copies are not accepted.

Customers who are Partners or Investors in UAE also must provide NOC/ Salary Certificate along with their company Trade License.

Customers on Self-Sponsor Visa must provide an original letter with their original signatures highlighting visa status, travel dates/details, financial independence/ source of income. Trade License of any company owned fully or in partnership must be provided.

Insurance is required for Cyprus effective 28.03.2023.

Cyprus is only part of EU and not Schengen States.

The photographs must be:

• no more than 6-months old
• 35–40 mm in width
• close of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70–80% of the photograph.
• in sharp focus and clear
• of high quality with no ink marks or crease

The photographs must:

• show you looking directly at the camera.
• show your skin tones naturally.
• have appropriate brightness and contrast.
• be printed on high quality paper, and at high resolution.
• Photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper.
• be colour neutral.
• show your eyes open and clearly visible—no hair across your eyes.
• show you facing square on to the camera, not looking over one shoulder (portrait style) or tilted and showing both edges of your face clearly.
• be taken with a plain, white-coloured background.
• the photograph must show your eyes clearly with no flash reflection off the glasses, and no tinted lenses (if possible, avoid heavy frames— wear lighter framed glasses if you have them)
• make sure that the frames do not cover any part of your eyes.

Head coverings:

• are not permitted except for religious reasons, but your facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of your face must be clearly shown.

Your photographs must:

• show you alone (no chair backs, toys or other people visible), looking at the camera with a neutral expression and your mouth closed

The processing time of a visa application is approximately 15 working days, so applicants are advised to leave enough time - between the appointment date and travel date - for the Mission to process their visa application; no guarantees can be given on the visa application’s return date as delays may occur.

In order to avoid any delays in the visa application process, it is paramount that the visa application is complete and its documents submitted are as per the Mission’s requirements.

Applicants also need to be aware that, especially during busy season around Eid, Summer holidays (July and August) and Christmas, the appointments are being booked very quickly as the Mission only processes a fixed amount of visa applications on a daily basis.

Furthermore applicants need to consider that VFS/Mission’s closures and holidays may extend the visa application processing time.

Therefore VFS recommends all applicants:

• To book their appointment as soon as they know they’ll be travelling
• To ensure that their visa application’s documentation meets the Mission’s requirements
• To leave enough processing time for the Mission

Please be advised that due to the above mentioned minimum processing time, we are not able to guarantee the return of passports by specific dates for travel.

Tour Dubai will join Tower Tours, a sightseeing excursion operator in San Francisco, and Singapore Duck Tours as part of the Big Bus Tours’ wider portfolio. Tour Dubai has been around since 1989 and is one of the emirate’s largest tour operators. It specializes in desert safaris and dhow cruises.

The acquisition comes at a time where Dubai’s tourism sector continues to grow. The emirate is one of the few global cities to have tourism numbers ahead of 2019 — around 17.15 million visitors in 2023. The latest data for 2024 shows Dubai had around 6.8 million visitors up to April, 800,000 more than the same time last year.

It will also scale up Dubai’s more affordable tourism activities. The city has long been seen as a luxury travel destination — an image officials are trying to change . Up to April this year, the average hotel room cost $170 in the city.

Big Bus Tours was created in 2011 from  the merger of London-based The Big Bus Company and Paris’s Les Cars Rouges.  Both businesses can trace their origins back to the early 1990s. It claims to be the largest operator of open-top sightseeing bus tours in the world.

Private equity firm Exponent bought the enlarged company in 2015 , and it has steadily added cities across the world and now operates in 26 destinations, handling six million tourists every year. Theme park operator Merlin Entertainments in 2016  took a 15 percent stake in the firm .

Today you cross majestic waterfall, tumbling down from 2500 m about 16 km from Manali on Manali Leh highway and Rohtang pass ( elevation of 3,978 m / 13050 ft), a high mountain pass on the eastern Pir Panjal Range connecting kullu valley to Lahaul and Ladakh.

Day 02 After eary breakfast depart from Sarchu Camp to Leh, witness the picturesque zanaskar range, Lachlung La (5060m) and Taglung La pass(5330m). Reach Leh and checkin at Hotel for overnight stay. Explore local market and familiarize with cosmopolitan culture of Leh.
