Il n’existe aucune dimension maximale imposée à bord des trains TER concernant les bagages, donc libre à vous de voyager comme vous le souhaitez. Néanmoins, vos sacs de voyage, valises et sacs à dos doivent pouvoir être manipulés par vous-même et entrer dans les espaces prévus dans nos trains régionaux.

Les trains TER ne disposent pas de service de restauration. N'hésitez pas à préparer un casse-croûte pour la route, que vous pouvez déguster à tout moment dans le train.

Le Wi-Fi n’est pas encore déployé dans les trains TER.

On y accède par l’escalier métallique, direction parking Pasteur au niveau des grandes lignes, juste avant la voie n°1.

Si je préfère les trains classiques, je me rends en gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps et j’arrive en gare de Paris Austerlitz, en plein cœur de la capitale ! Je peux aussi choisir de descendre en gare de Juvisy.

Y a-t-il des trains directs pour Paris au départ de Tours ?

S’il m’arrive de m’endormir dans les transports, je n’ai aucun stress à avoir avec OUIGO ! TGV ou trains classiques, tous les trains OUIGO sont directs. How much does it cost to visit the eiffel tower.

To check the prices for the Eiffel Tower, please visit this page on the official Eiffel Tower site . The Eiffel Tower online ticket office provides the official prices. The adult price applies to adults 25 years and over.  There are discount rates for young people (12-24 years old), children (4-11 years old) and for those with disabilities. Admission is free for children under 4 years old. The price of the ticket varies upon how you go up (elevator and/or stairs) and the destination (2nd floor or the upper floor) you select. 

The desired visit date is not available, what should I do?

Certain days (weekends, days during peak season between July and August) are in high demand and we sell out quickly, especially for e-tickets for the top floor, which are the most popular. If you are flexible, select another date that is shown as available. The dates marked in orange indicate that the last tickets are available. Lined out or grayed out dates are no longer available. If there is no more online availability, note that tickets to visit the Eiffel Tower are also sold on site at the ticket offices at the monument. Regardless, we sell our tickets online up to 60 days in advance (for lift tickets) and 14 days in advance (for stairs tickets to second floor). If you can, plan your visit well in advance, so you will have the choice of date, destination and time.  

How many tickets can I buy?

On the online ticket shop, you can buy up to 9 tickets for the same order. Groups who want to buy tickets, regardless of the number, must use the ticket office site reserved for groups.

The Eiffel Tower’s online box office allows you to purchase your ticket online for the 2nd floor or the Summit at the official rate. You can purchase individual e-tickets for up to 9 people. Tickets can also be purchased several weeks in advance. With the e-ticket system, experience no lines! You will directly receive your ticket by e-mail so you can print it at home or store it on your smartphone. If e-tickets are sold out for the date/time or destination that you search, it is always possible to purchase tickets on the spot on the day of your visit.  At the scheduled hour, go directly to the lifts or stairs without having to wait at the ticket stands. There are mandatory security checks at the Eiffel Tower’s entrance and before entering one of the pillars.

Pierre Garnier, le phénomène musical de l'année en solo sur scène ! 

Après avoir conquis des millions de spectateurs et téléspectateurs grâce à sa voix aussi singulière que puissante et sa personnalité attachante, le grand vainqueur de la Star Academy l’annonce : c’est dès 2025 que débutera sa toute première tournée solo, qui se présente comme le préambule du « Chaque Seconde Tour ».

2024, c’est l’année de tous les records pour Pierre. Depuis sa sortie de l’émission, il enchaine les succès, notamment avec son titre « Ceux qu’on était » certifié single de diamant (50 000 000 de streams) et devenu un tube incontournable en l’espace de quelques mois seulement. En parallèle, le Star Academy Tour, plus grosse tournée francophone de l’année réunissant plus de 400 000 spectateurs, a été l’occasion pour lui de prouver sa prestance scénique et sa remarquable aisance sur scène.

Son premier album « Chaque Seconde » suivi de sa tournée solo lui permettront de se présenter individuellement, de dévoiler un bout de sa vie, un bout de lui … Mais surtout, à travers cette première tournée, Pierre partira à la rencontre de son propre public. Si le nom de Pierre Garnier ne vous dit rien, c'est que vous avez raté la saison 11 de la Star Academy. Ce chanteur français, connu pour sa participation au télécrochet et sa voix singulièrement rauque, est en train de devenir une icône incontournable de la scène musicale française.

En 2023, Pierre Garnier s'inscrit à la Star Academy , une émission qui a déjà révélé de nombreux talents en France. Dès les premières auditions, sa voix unique et son charisme naturel captivent les juges et le public. Au fil des semaines, il se démarque par ses performances époustouflantes et sa capacité à interpréter un large éventail de genres musicaux.

En février 2024 il remporte la saison 11 de la Star Academy et publie son premier single «  Ceux qu’on était  » quelques jours plus tard. Le 27 février 2024, seulement deux semaines après sa sortie officielle, le single "Ceux qu’on était" a été certifié disque d'or par la Snep. Puis, le 25 mars 2024, il a obtenu la certification de disque de platine, avant d'atteindre le niveau de disque de diamant le 13 mai 2024. Entre temps, il a sorti son deuxième single nommé "Nous on sait" qui a déjà près de 2 millions d'écoutes à son actif ! La sortie de son premier album " Chaque seconde " est prévue bientôt et si on en croit la presse, c'est l'album le plus attendu de l'année !

We felt comfortable with the whole process.The train trip is wonderful with Mongolia being a "special " place for us! We highly recommend Elena & her company. I am happy to answer any questions any body may wish to ask.

Moscow was beautiful, Lake Baikal was very cold, yet very fun to swim in, and the DPR Koreans that I met and made friends with in Vladivostok was beyond priceless. The hotels you got for us were great, and the room you got for us in the Vladivostok really made the long stay comfortable. You really went out of your way to accommodate my schedule and help me with my schoolwork, so I really appreciate it; I couldn´t have done it without you. Trans-Siberian Train

The main route of the Trans-Siberian Railway begins in Moscow and heads east to Vladivostok passing through Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, Chita, Blagoveshchensk and Khabarovsk. The length of the route is 9259 km or 5753 miles. The train travels through 7 time zones and takes 8 days to complete without making overnight stops. The Trans-Siberian splits off into a few other fascinating directions as well:

Trans-Mongolian Train

The Trans-Mongolian Line was built from 1940 to 1956 between Ulan-Ude at Lake Baikal’s eastern shore and the Chinese capital Beijing. From Ulan-Ude the tracks go south towards Mongolia, crossing the great Gobi Desert and finally ending up in Beijing. This route is a mere 7867 kilometers long (Moscow - Beijing).

Trans-Manchurian Train

The Trans-Manchurian Line runs on the same route as the Trans-Siberian as far as Tarskaya, which is a few hundred miles east of Baikal. From Tarskaya, the line runs southeast into China near Zabaikalsk and makes its way down to Beijing. This route is a 9001 kilometres long (Moscow - Beijing).

Can I use the hop-on hop-off principle when traveling by Trans-Siberian train?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Train tickets in Russia are not open, so you will need a separate ticket with a particular date for each leg of your trip - for example, you may go all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok, but you will only be able to leave the train for short stops at the railway stations. In case if you would like to explore different cities on the way, you will need separate tickets, for example Moscow – Yekaterinburg, Yekaterinburg – Irkutsk, Irkutsk - Vladivostok. We offer carefully planned private tours that will allow you to visit several cities on your way.

Are there showers aboard Trans-Siberian trains?

Most of the Trans-Siberian trains do not have showers, and there are two WCs per each carriage. Please consider it while planning your trip. We recommend to choose shorter distances (that is, to plan more overnight stops in the cities along the way) to avoid the inconvenience of not showering. Another option is to choose the trip on board a more luxurious train which has all the on-board amenities that one might need.

Are meals included on the board of Trans-Siberian express train?

When traveling with RZD regular trains meals are not included. You can easily buy your meals in the restaurant car.  Another option is to buy local specialties from “babushkas” (grandmothers, or simply Russian old ladies) on the short train stops along the way. This is a very authentic way of getting your meals.

What is the most comfortable way to travel on the Trans-Siberian railroad?

Stefanos Tsitsipas found himself in a hole on Sunday at Roland Garros against Italian Matteo Arnaldi . But he dug his way out to reach the quarter-finals in Paris for the fourth time.

The Greek trailed Arnaldi 3-6, 3-5 and was being outplayed on Court Suzanne-Lenglen. However, he saved three set points on serve at 3-5 before he fended off another in the next game to break back for 5-5. The ninth seed then closed out the set and powered to a 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-2, 6-2 victory.

"I had to push today. It was one of the craziest comebacks I have had," Tsitsipas said. "The momentum seemed to be going his way the entire match. It was very frustrating on my end because I thought I was trying my best, trying to make him move, but nothing really seemed to be working.

"The spirit is the reason I managed to comeback today. Even at 3-5 in the second set I felt that I could comeback. That there was power in me to turn this match around and I think the game at 5-4 when I broke him was the biggest pleasure I experienced in tennis for a long time because I felt there was a chance. Now me and the crowd are on this and it felt amazing."

The 23-year-old Arnaldi dictated during the early stages in Paris, where he struck a heavy ball off both wings and frustrated Tsitsipas with his elastic defence. Yet the 25-year-old stuck to his task and after clawing himself level, improved in the third and fourth sets, while Arnaldi’s level and intensity drastically dropped.

With his 28th tour-level win of the season, Tsitsipas set a quarter-final meeting with third seed Carlos Alcaraz . The Spaniard Alcaraz defeated Tsitsipas in the quarter-final stage in Paris last season.

Tsitsipas has produced his best tennis on clay. He has won three Monte-Carlo titles on the surface and advanced to the title match at Roland Garros in 2021, when he led Novak Djokovic by two sets before losing. The No. 9 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, who is into his eighth major quarter-final, is chasing his first major crown this fortnight.

The former Nitto ATP Finals champion Tsitsipas fired 63 winners and committed 35 unforced errors against Arnaldi according to Infosys Stats in the pair’s first Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting. The 11-time tour-level titlist has dropped just two sets en route to the last eight in the French capital.

Arnaldi upset World No. 6 Andrey Rublev in the third round to reach the last 16 at a major for the second time ( US Open 2023). The World No. 35 was impressive in the first 90 minutes against Tsitsipas but faded quickly, with the Greek pouncing on Arnaldi’s lack of depth in the third and fourth sets to advance after three hours and 11 minutes.

A cricket World Cup is under way, the French Open tennis Grand Slam is approaching its climax, and football never stops.

When the women's Tour of Britain returns this week, it will hit some serious traffic.

The summer of sport schedule is about to erupt further with Euro 2024, but the return of a pivotal cycling race represents an important moment for women's sport - and a key checkpoint on the road to the Paris Olympics.

Under the stewardship of British Cycling - following the collapse of previous organisers Sweetspot - the race has been put together in very little time by a team including former Ineos Grenadiers boss Rod Ellingworth.

"It's a really exciting time to be part of sport which has changed a lot since I became a pro five years ago," says 22-year-old Elynor Backstedt – Lidl Trek's one-day racing ace who will compete for the Great Britain squad.

"Races have got more intense, and some have got so much longer, with teams getting bigger to accommodate – it's really exciting the sport is expanding."

This has been achieved with the rarest of statements in women's cycling: prize money parity.

This year's race has an overall prize fund of nearly 60,000 euros (£51,045). This is proportionately the same as the men's race - albeit accounting for the women's tour being two days shorter this year, at four stages.

"We made a big commitment to prize money for the Tour of Britain Women this year," says British Cycling CEO Jon Dutton. "The aspiration next year is for two full six-stages events."

For context, the biggest race in women's cycling these days is the Tour de France Femmes, where the overall winner receives just a tenth of the 500,000 euros taken by the winner of the yellow jersey in the men’s race.

But there's another prize over the horizon bigger than a pot of gold.

With the Paris Olympics selection upcoming, this is one of the biggest chances for riders to get in the mix.

Who could win the Tour of Britain Women?

You don't have to claim the green jersey overall to make it to Paris, but it would help two-time winner Lizzie Deignan, 35, who fronts the GB team.

She has already proclaimed she is pretty happy with the course and some of the climbs which appeal to her tough, uncompromising breakaway-style riding.

Many will hope the broken arm she sustained during the Tour of Flanders this season will not prevent a fairytale return to form over the summer, following the birth of her second child in 2022.

But there are track stars vying for attention too. Olympic gold medallist and seven-time track world champion Elinor Barker also wants to feels the love from the side of the road.

"It's always incredibly special to race on home soil where the energy and support from the crowds is unparalleled," Barker, 29, says.

"The race comes at an important time in our preparations for a huge summer of cycling – we can't wait."

Barker, usually of the Uno-X team, also features in a strong GB squad, which includes Visma-Lease A Bike's Anna Henderson.

But this is no training ride. Unlike with the men's event, the Tour of Britain Women is a World Tour race – and many of the world's best riders are here, , external including Belgian world road champion and Paris-Roubaix winner Lotte Kopecky for the mighty SD Worx team.

Where is the race going?

It has not been easy for British Cycling to resurrect the race so quickly, but it comes in part thanks to a multi-million pound sponsorship deal with Lloyds Bank, which is said to be "one of the biggest in British sport", according to Dutton.

There is little doubt this time around they have called in a few favours from the contacts book who have faithfully held stages of the race in recent years – stretching as it does across Wales and over into north-west England.

The really harsh climbs occur on the first two days across Wales, including Llangynog's imposing category one test near Snowdonia, and Llangollen's Horseshoe Pass, on the way back to Wrexham.

"For me, personally, I am particularly excited that two of the stages will be hosted in Wales on some iconic roads," adds Cardiff-born Barker. "It will undoubtedly make for a challenging and competitive race."

The remaining roads around the Peak District near Manchester and Warrington will be no less demanding on the legs, as the stress increases for those intent on making an impression on Olympic selection.

Former Lady Vol Cierra Burdick makes USA 3x3 basketball team for 2024 Paris Olympics

Former Lady Vols basketball player Cierra Burdick is going for gold again with Team USA – but for the first time, she'll compete at the Olympics.

Burdick, a 3x3 veteran with the U.S., was announced as one of four members for Team USA 3x3 for the Paris Olympics this summer. She joins former Kentucky star and No. 1 WNBA draft pick Rhyne Howard, Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink and TCU guard Hailey Van Lith.

Burdick is the 15th Lady Vol to earn a spot on a USA basketball team playing in the Olympics and the second to be affiliated with the USA 3x3 Olympic team. Kara Lawson coached the 2020 3x3 Olympic team to a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

The 3x3 will be played from July 30 to Aug. 5.

Burdick, Brink and Van Lith were all on the USA 3x3 team that won the gold medal at the 2023 FIBA 3x3 World Cup. It was Burdick's second FIBA 3x3 World Cup gold medal, her first coming in 2014. She won another gold in 2023 at the 3x3 Pan American Games.

Burdick played for the Lady Vols from 2011-15 and helped lead Tennessee to two SEC regular-season championships (2013, 2015) and two SEC Tournament titles (2012, 2014). Burdick, a first-team All-SEC performer as a senior, helped fuel three runs to the NCAA Elite Eight (2012, 2013, 2015). She was also selected as a University of Tennessee Torchbearer in 2015.

Los Angeles selected Burdick at No. 14 overall in the 2015 WNBA Draft, though she never played for the Sparks. Burdick spent her rookie season with the Atlanta Dream before playing for six different franchises from 2015-21.

Quand le voyage scolaire tourne au « cauchemar » : un Boeing fait demi-tour en raison d’une fissure dans le cockpit

L’avion transportait des élèves de cm2 et de 6e qui, après deux changements d’avion, ont dû annuler leur voyage scolaire vers la Grèce.

Le voyage scolaire d’élèves de 6e et de cm2 en Grèce ne s’est pas passé comme prévu. Plusieurs enfants se sont rendus lundi matin à l’aéroport d’Orly à 6h30 pour prendre un avion à 9 heures, direction Athènes, dans le cadre d’un voyage scolaire en Grèce.

Le Boeing 737-800 de la compagnie Transavia décolle comme prévu, mais « au bout de deux heures on entend le pilote qui nous dit : il y a un problème technique, il faut qu’on revienne à Orly puisque c’est irréparable à Athènes », raconte à BFMTV Isaac, élève de 6e qui faisait partie du voyage.

« À 12h30 nous recevons un message de l’école indiquant que l’avion a été dérouté vers Orly pour un incident technique… », rapporte également sur LinkedIn Rebecca, qui se présente comme la mère d’un élève de 11 ans faisant partie du voyage. Elle apprendra plus tard que le demi-tour est dû à une fissure sur les vitres du cockpit, qui n’aurait pas été réparable dans la capitale grecque.

Un deuxième vol annulé

L’avion « s’est posé en toute sécurité à l’aéroport de Paris-Orly et un changement d’appareil a eu lieu », relate de son côté Transavia, contacté par Le Parisien. Les élèves sont en effet placés dans un autre avion, mais il ne décollera pas en raison d’un dommage au niveau du moteur.

Tout le monde se dirige alors dans un troisième engin, qui tarde à s’envoler. Les professeurs décident alors de faire descendre les classes et annulent le voyage. « Après une heure à attendre que leurs valises arrivent (ce qui ne sera finalement pas le cas avant 20 heures) chacun rentre chez soi, sans bagage, la déception dans les yeux, et pour beaucoup terrorisés à l’idée de remonter dans un avion », écrit Rebecca.

Transavia explique de son côté que le débarquement des bagages a pris du temps car il a fallu les identifier un à un, et que tout le monde a pu récupérer ses affaires dans la soirée.

« Certains ont fait des cauchemars »

Ces désagréments ont laissé des traces sur les élèves. « J’étais inquiet au bout d’un moment, confirme Isaac. Je me suis dit qu’on aurait pu risquer le crash, des amis à moi étaient vraiment terrifiés, certains ont fait des cauchemars ». Il souligne avoir eu des doutes sur la bonne tenue du vol après avoir compris qu’il montait dans un Boeing. Les avions de la compagnie ont régulièrement été pointés du doigt ces derniers mois pour différentes anomalies.

Rebecca pointe de son côté le manque de prise en charge des enfants, qui n’auraient eu qu’un rafraîchissement dans la journée et des bons de 5 euros pour manger. Et durant toute la journée, « pas une information de la part de la compagnie, au sol personne ne peut donner d’informations aux parents par téléphone, le cauchemar ».

Karim, le père d’Isaac, rapporte également l’angoisse vécue lundi : « T’es inquiet, t’as peur et tu découvres également le laxisme et la négligence de toute une organisation, dénonce-t-il auprès de BFMTV. Pour lui « ce n’est pas uniquement la responsabilité de la compagnie, c’est également la responsabilité de l’aéroport. »

De son côté, Transavia France a présenté « ses excuses aux passagers du vol TO3520 entre Paris Orly et Athènes, et plus particulièrement aux élèves en voyage scolaire ». La compagnie a promis de rembourser les vols allers-retours et d’indemniser les passagers à hauteur de 400 euros par personne.

For her June 3 show, the cheapest ticket at the time of publication is $69 on Vivid Seats , with other tickets listed as high as $940.

'Pluie, rain': Taylor Swift sings in a downpour on Eras Tour's first night in Lyon, France

Mark the first night in Lyon, France, as a rain show for the Eras Tour .

"Pluie, rain," Taylor Swift exclaimed to the sold-out show inside Groupama Stadium as she floated onto the stage during the "Speak Now" era. ("Pluie" is French for rain.)

Gray clouds loomed over the open-roofed stadium for the first hour of Swift's first show in the city in Eastern France. The band played underneath tents on both sides of the stage. The VIP and production booths on the ground floor were in tents as well. Some audience members wore colorful ponchos.

What was a slow-start sprinkle during "Enchanted," turned into a full downpour minutes later in the "Reputation" era. Swift and her dancers embraced the rain as she belted, "Baby, let the games begin." The bulk of the water show happened as Swift performed in her red and black bodysuit.

During the combined "Folklore"/"Evermore" set, Swift sat at the moss-covered piano and acknowledged the appearance from Mother Nature.

"We have officially had a rain show tonight and that is set," she said before performing "Champagne Problems." "That is permanent. It doesn't matter if it doesn't rain again."

'Happy Pride Month, Lyon'

During " You Need to Calm Down ," an LGBTQ anthem for some Swifties, the singer made mention of rainbow-laden June.

"Happy Pride Month, Lyon," she said as wristwatches across the stadium lit up in rainbow colors and the audience waved their hands back and forth.

The singer-songwriter has one more show Monday night in Lyon before heading to Edinburgh, Scotland, for three shows this weekend.

La vente de billets pour le tournoi olympique de football est l’une des préoccupations du moment pour les organisateurs des Jeux olympiques et paralympiques (Cojop) de Paris 2024. Sur 2,5 millions de places mises en vente, un million n’a pas encore trouvé preneur. C’est pourquoi « une offre exceptionnelle » sera lancée jeudi 6 juin (à partir de 10 heures) dans le cadre de l’opération « Les jeudis billetterie », dont la première édition a eu lieu la semaine passée .

Paris 2024 va ainsi proposer, sur le site  tickets.paris2024.org et jusqu’au 6 juillet, l’achat d’un lot de quatre places pour 60 euros (soit la place à 15 euros). « Cela concernera un total de 42 matches masculins et féminins, y compris les matches de poule des équipes de France » , précise le Cojop, qui ajoute toutefois que « les rencontres disputées au Parc des Princes, les demies et les finales ne sont pas concernées » par cette offre. Le nombre de lots disponibles n’est pas mention

Si le football est la discipline où le plus de billets olympiques ont été vendus à ce jour, et si les places au Parc des Princes, à Paris, sont déjà toutes parties, les ventes dans les six autres villes qui accueilleront des rencontres ne décollent pas.

Cela avait conduit la ministre des sports et des Jeux olympiques et paralympiques, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra et le président de Paris 2024, Tony Estanguet à lancer, en marge du relais de la flamme olympique le 9 mai à Marseille, un appel à acheter des places pour les tournois masculin et féminin .

30 000 nouveaux billets

Outre le football, Paris 2024 annonce qu’il mettra aussi en vente des billets pour les sports équestres (dressage, saut d’obstacles, concours complet) à Versailles (Yvelines), « à partir de 24 euros » , pour le rugby à sept et l’équipe de France féminine au Stade de France (Seine-Saint-Denis), « à partir de 35 euros » , ou encore pour toutes les sessions de natation à La Défense Arena, à Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).

Il y aura également des places pour le pentathlon moderne à Versailles, l’aviron et le canoë à Vaires-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne), ou le water-polo au Centre aquatique de Saint-Denis et La Défense Arena. Au total, près de 30 000 nouveaux billets seront ainsi mis en vente à partir de jeudi.

Paris 2024 profite par ailleurs de cette opération « Les jeudis billetterie » pour mettre en avant les offres hospitalités, des packages VIP commercialisés par la société On Location. « Des packages les plus accessibles (à partir de 100 euros), jusqu’aux plus exclusifs en passant par les cérémonies, les offres hospitalités sont des opportunités uniques et inédites d’être au cœur de l’action tout en bénéficiant d’un service haut de gamme et la garantie de moments inoubliables » , fait valoir le Cojop.

Il faut dire que cette billetterie haut de gamme peine à atteindre les objectifs fixés, en dépit de ventes en hausse depuis le début de l’année 2024. Si On Location se refuse à communiquer des chiffres précis, a société, qui espère écouler 750 000 billets pour les JO (180 000 pour les Jeux paralympiques), admet avoir sous-estimé les achats de dernière minute, une tendance accentuée depuis la pandémie de Covid-19 dans le secteur touristique.

Russia Issues Threat to French Military Instructors as UK Bolsters Ukraine with Drone Deliveries

M oscow has signalled its readiness to target French military trainers should they arrive in Ukraine to assist Kyiv’s forces, as reported during a spate of international movements amid the ongoing conflict. Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesperson, issued a stark warning: “No instructor involved in training the Ukrainian military has immunity. It doesn’t matter whether they’re French or not.”

This statement followed the mention by Ukraine’s top military commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, that French trainers would arrive in Ukraine shortly, a claim which both Paris and Kyiv had downplayed. The French President Emmanuel Macron had earlier stated in February that the situation in Ukraine was dynamic, indicating a possibility for various developments.

In a related development, the UK is set to enhance Ukraine’s military capabilities by supplying 1,000 first-person view drones, as part of an international support effort. A public appeal worth £300,000 is sourcing up to 15 batches of 20 drones, described as “first-person view racing quadcopter style,” which would potentially add a significant aerial reconnaissance and tactical advantage to Ukrainian forces.

As the support for Ukraine continues to solidify from Western nations, Russia’s response has been to strengthen its own alliances and influence, particularly in Africa. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has been actively visiting African nations such as Guinea, Congo, and Burkina Faso, with a bid to garner military allies in the face of isolation from the West. Lavrov’s extensive African tours serve as a testament to Russia’s attempt to craft a new, multipolar world vision, free from what they perceive as Western imperialism.

Moreover, as tensions ratchet up, reports have emerged claiming Ukrainian forces utilized American weapons to strike the Russian city of Belgorod for the first time, after the U.S. lifted a ban that previously prevented Kyiv from using its weapons inside Russia. These reports indicate that Ukraine deployed the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, or HIMARS, in this cross-border attack.

Mr Lavrov announced that Moscow will send additional military supplies and instructors to Burkina Faso to help the west African country boost its defence capabilities, Russian state media reported.
