Most film franchises lose steam when they hit the third installment in their run.

Not the Leonardo, New Jersey-based “Clerks.”

In fact, Kevin Smith’s durable comedy has picked up so much steam that he is taking the flick out on the road for a 35-show tour.

Smith’s “Clerks III: The Convenience Tour” will see the writer, director and star participate in Q&As following screenings of the new film across North America.

To kick things off, Smith and co. will swing into his hometown Red Bank at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on Sept. 4 for two shows. They will begin at 1:30 p.m and 7 p.m.

Later in the week, Smith and co. are set to drop into New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Sept. 9 for one screening.

At the time of publication, the lowest price on tickets for the Red Bank shows were on Vivid Seats for $34 before fees at the 7 p.m. show.

Tickets for the New York City screening start at $54 before fees on Vivid Seats .

All prices are subject to fluctuation.

“Clerks” fans can find tickets for all shows on StubHub , Vivid Seats , MegaSeats , Ticketmaster and TicketCity .

Plus, first-time Vivid Seats users can save $20 on ticket orders over $200 by punching in promo code NJ20 at checkout.

Click here for a complete calendar featuring all “Clerks III” tour dates, show start times, venues and links to buy tickets.

As for the movie, the meta film reunites lifelong clerks Randal (Jeff Anderson) and Dante (Brian O’Halloran) , who never left the Quik Stop. Following an on-the-clock heart attack, the pair make a movie based on their lives in an effort to shake things up.

The film features appearances from “View Askewniverse” regulars Jay (Jason Mewes), Silent Bob (Smith) and big names, like Ben Affleck, Fred Armisen, Justin Long, Rosario Dawson and Michelle Buteau. Anyone of them could show up at “The Convenience Tour.”

Kevin Smith SDCC Event Tickets Are Now On Sale!

San diego comic-con is quickly approaching and news is starting to come out at a constant stream.  the latest news comes from kevin smith..

Judging by the volume of events Kevin Smith is planning on having at San Diego Comic-Con, it seems like he’s missed the convention just as much as we all have.  In addition to his Hall H panel (the first Hall H panel announced for the con), he is holding four separate offsite events and taking over a restaurant in the Gaslamp district. Kevin Smith is as much of a staple to Comic-Con as long lines, crowded exhibit halls, and exhaustion.  It shouldn’t be surprising he’ll have a large presence at the con.

All four offsite events will take place at the Tin Roof in the Gaslamp District, which is is being converted into a “ Mooby’s ” for the duration of the convention.  Tickets are $30 with a two drink minimum.  Tickets for a Mooby’s Meal prepaid pickup are available separately.  These are also $30.  Pickup times are scheduled from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Each ticket [for a prepaid meal pick up] includes a Mooby’s Meal with your selections of a Moo Main + Salt Lick Side (vegan & non vegan options available). Mooby’s Soda, additional salt lick side items, and yummy desserts.

Fatman Beyond @ Mooby’s San Diego Thursday, July 21st – 8:00pm

Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin are bringing you all the pop culture news thats fit to print on the verge of San Diego Comic Con!

For the first of the four events, Kevin Smith is teaming up with comic writer and journalist Marc Bernadin.  He’s written stories for both major comic juggernauts – Marvel and DC – and was a winner for the 2018 Inkpot award.  Bernadin has also been a staff writer on several popular shows, including Star Trek: Picard .  He co-hosts the podcast Fatman Beyond with Kevin Smith.

Jay and Silent Bob Get Old @ Mooby’s San Diego Friday, July 22nd – 7:00pm

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes sit down in the wake of San Diego Comic-Con to talk about fun stuff for fans to look forward to. Have some good, clean fun while getting filthy with this pair of foul-mouthed middle-aged hetero-lifemates!

Jason Mewes hardly needs an introduction, but just in case you’re out of the loop, he’s Kevin Smith’s co-star in the popular Clerks series of films.  They are truly one of the most infamous duos out there.

Clerks, Too @ Mooby’s San Diego Friday, July 22nd – 9:00pm

Are you excited for Clerks III? Clerks, Too is here to scratch that itch in the meantime! Watch Kevin Smith joins forces with a bunch of Quick Stop counter jockeys to chat about the forthcoming flick LIVE at Mooby’s Pop-Up in San Diego!

If you’re a Clerks fan, this is probably the one to aim for.  Well, this one and Jason Mewes, of course.  And both of these are on the same night.  Do you want to have your entire night dedicated to Jay and Silent Bob?  Then get tickets to both!  Do remember that it’s a two drink minimum per show, though, so be prepared to nurse that hangover on Saturday.

Hollywood Babble-On @ Mooby’s San Diego Saturday, July 23rd – 9:00pm

Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman are spilling all the piping hot Hollywood tea LIVE at the Mooby’s Pop-Up in San Diego!

Ralph Garman is Kevin Smith’s cohost over at his other podcast, Hollywood Babble-On .  Expect loads of snark.  This will probably be a spicy show, if their history is anything to judge by.

At $30 for a simple pick up meal, and a separate $30 for an event ticket with a two drink minimum, this is a pretty pricey offsite.  That said, it’ll no doubt be worth it for Kevin Smith and Clerks fans.  For the rest of us, it might be a bit much.  It’s still nice to see things actually getting announced, though!

Kevin Hart waves to the crowd.

On May 5, Kevin Hart will host the ‘Roast of Tom Brady’ at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum as part of the Netflix is a Joke Festival.

However, that’s far from the only gig the 2024 Mark Twain Prize For American Humor winner has lined up this year.

From April all the way up until December, the prolific 44-year-old comic will perform at venues all over North America as part of his ‘Acting My Age Tour.’

That includes a pair of shows at Westbury, NY’s Westbury Music Fair on June 29 as well as one-offs at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on June 30 and Poughkeepsie, NY’s MJ Nesheiwat Convention Center on July 20.

“This one is going to hit different,” Hart shared on Instagram , while describing the tour. “We’re on a different level, a different mindset.”

If you want to see what the “Ride Along” star has up his sleeve for his ‘Acting My Age Tour,’ tickets are available for all shows.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find was $16 before fees on Vivid Seats.

To be fair, that low dollar amount is a bit of an outlier (hint, hint- it’s for the Tom Brady Roast); other Kevin Hart shows have tickets starting anywhere from $55 to $389 before fees.

Hoping to find out how much seats are going for at the venue nearest you?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Kevin Hart’s 2024 ‘Acting My Age Tour’ below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Kevin Hart tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to the cheapest tickets available can be found here:

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Netflix is a Joke Festival 2024

From May 2-12, 2024, the  Netflix is a Joke Festival  is returning to Los Angeles for over 300 (!) shows spread out across 35 venues.

And yes, one of your favorite comedians will probably be there.

Just a few of the mega names on this year’s lineup include  Jerry Seinfeld ,  Chris Rock ,  Bill Burr ,  David Letterman  and controversial crowd work wunderkind  Matt Rife .

They’ll be joined by household names  John Mulaney ,  Jon Stewart ,  Ali Wong ,  Seth Rogen , and  Sarah Silverman .

As of now, over 270 events have been announced for the  sprawling, mega event , the first since 2022.

You can get tickets for the show of your choosing  here .

Upcoming Kevin Hart projects

Kevin Hart can’t stop working.

On top of his upcoming tour dates, he also has eight (!) movies and TV shows set for release in the near future.

Here’s what we know about each of the future flicks.

“Planes, Trains & Automobiles”  might sound familiar. In this reimagining of the 1987 classic, Hart co-stars with Will Smith as “a pair of unlikely travel companions trying to make their destinations in time for the Holiday weekend.”

“My Own Worst Enemy”  tells the story of an agent sent on a dangerous assignment and then receives an assist from an unlikely informant. Tim Story has been tapped to direct.

“The Great Outdoors”  will see Hart star in a remake of the 1988 John Candy-Dan Aykroyd comedy where a family on vacation repeatedly gets interrupted by their irritating in-laws. Teena Lewis and Tristan Cantave are set to co-star.

“Ride Along 3”  is an extension of the popular Hart-Ice Cube franchise featuring Hart as a well-meaning high school teacher who applies to the police academy to impress the girl of his dreams (Tika Sumpter). There, he meets her tough brother (Ice Cube), who, you guessed it, takes him on a ride along to set him straight. According to  Looper , director Tim Story wants to take the ongoing series to another country in a future installment.

“Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist”  has just Hart attached now; the series will tell the story of the infamous armed robbery after Muhammad Ali’s historical comeback fight in 1970.

“Borderlands,”  based on the popular video game, takes place on the desolate, fictional planet Pandora. In this abandoned world, adventurers seek out an elusive artifact. The stacked cast features Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gina Gershon and Bobby Lee.

“Uptown Saturday Night”  centers around a pair of pals’ night out where they chill at an illegal club, come upon a lost wallet, and find a winning lottery ticket. Based on the 1974 classic featuring Sidney Poitier, Flip Wilson, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, and Harry Belafonte. Rick Famuyiwa (“Dope,” “The Chi”) will direct from a script by Kenya Barris (“Blackish,” “Coming 2 America”).

“Monopoly,”  currently in development, finds a boy from the board game’s Baltic Avenue on a journey to make some cold, hard Monopoly cash. Tim Story will direct Hart again in a script by noted sci-fi screenwriter Andrew Niccol (“Truman Show,” “Gattaca”). Here’s hoping the movie, which has yet to enter pre-production, “gets out of jail free.”

“Die Hart 2: Die Harter” signals a return to Hart’s Amazon Prime series where he “plans an innovative action film with unscripted, unexpected scenes to cement his legacy as the greatest,” IMDb reports. Of course, high-stakes hijinks ensue. Nathalie Emmanuel, Ben Schwartz, Paula Pell and John Cena co-star.

Comedians on tour in 2024

Here are just five of our favorite comics you won’t want to miss live in the near future.

Clerks II

Did you know

  • Trivia Originally, Kevin Smith announced in 2017 that Clerks 3 was off the table after a falling-out with his friend Jeff Anderson who had played Randal Graves in Clerks (1994) and Clerks II (2006) . Anderson had read the script but chose not to be involved; Smith canceled the project and made Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019) instead. Two weeks before Jay and Silent Bob Reboot was released, however, Smith revealed that he had spent an entire day signing Clerks movie memorabilia together with Anderson and Jason Mewes (Jay). This reunion allowed them to patch things up, and provided him with so much inspiration that he immediately threw away the old script, and started working on a new one with ideas that Anderson was receptive to. According to Smith, it will be "a movie that concludes a saga [...] about how you're never too old to completely change your life [...] about how a decades-spanning friendship finally confronts the future."
  • Goofs When Dante is watching the finished film that they supposedly made recently, it was clearly just playing footage from the first two Clerks movies. And there was footage of Becky mixed in there, but she obviously couldn't have been part of making the movie since her character had died before the events of this movie.

Randal : Jay and Silent Bob are like C-3PO and R2-D2. They've been here since the first movie, which was the last time they were cool, but they've been with the franchise so long, they still give them cameos and put them on the lunch boxes.

  • Crazy credits During the last 3 1/2 minutes of credits, Kevin Smith is heard thanking the viewer for 'coming back to the store a third time' & reading an alternate voiceover ending written for the film.
  • Alternate versions The UK release was cut, this film had a compulsory cut made. A cut was required to remove a misleading non-BBFC rating symbol, in order to obtain a 15 classification. Cut made in accordance with BBFC policy. An uncut classification was not available.

A's Prospect From Matt Chapman Trade Turning a Corner

Jason burke | 22 hours ago.

  • Toronto Blue Jays

The Oakland A's have traded a number of star players in recent seasons, and they're likely to trade a few more fan favorites in the coming months, too. The difference with the most recent round of deals and the previous churn cycles is that the returns the A's have received haven't panned out quite as well as expected.

One trade that has stood out as particularly bad has been the Matt Chapman trade with the Toronto Blue Jays. Three of the four players involved (Kirby Snead, Kevin Smith, and Zach Logue) are no longer with the organization just two years later. The fourth piece, however, is starting to find his groove.

That piece is 24-year-old right-hander Gunnar Hoglund. He was selected 19th overall in the 2021 Draft even though he'd just received Tommy John surgery. The A's acquired him as he was nearing a to return to the mound in March of 2022. He made his pro/season debut on July 23 and only ended up throwing eight innings that season.

In 2023 he came back and spent most of the year in Stockton (43 1/3 innings) before receiving a promotion to Lansing (12 2/3) and then making his final start of the year with Double-A Midland (5). He ended up pitching a total of 61 innings and held a 6.05 ERA.

Hoglund began this year back with Midland, and has already surpassed last season's innings total in early June, tossing 66 innings with a 3.41 ERA. Last night he went seven innings, gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out nine. In his previous three starts he'd racked up a combined 14 1/3 scoreless innings.

The scoring last night came on a single and a home run in the first inning, and then in the second with runners on first and second and one out, Hoglund got the batter to fly out to center. Yet, after the catch was made, the ball scooted well into left field and allowed the runner from second to score. The play-by-play announcer guessed the ball went at least 100 feet. It was a wacky play.

From that point on, Hoglund was nails. He allowed a third inning single, a sixth inning walk, and a seventh inning double the rest of the way, striking out eight in the process.

Part of the reason for his turnaround this season has been that his velocity has returned after undergoing Tommy John. Last year he was sitting 90-91 per Baseball America , but this season he's up to 92-93 and touching 95. With the added velocity, they view him as a back-end starter.

The one downside here is that his FIP sits at 4.75, so there may be a little luck involved in the ERA at the moment, but it's undeniable that he's been on a run of late, giving up two earned runs across 21 1/3 innings.

Since Hoglund was drafted in 2021, he will be Rule 5 eligible later this year. That means that at some point in 2024, it's likely that we see him added to the 40-man roster.

The righty is currently the A's No. 17 prospect according to MLB Pipeline .

Kevin Costner said during an interview on  Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast (via Entertainment Weekly ) that he refused a request to shorten his eulogy for Whitney Houston just so television networks like CNN could air commercials during the live broadcast of Houston’s funeral. Costner and Houston became lifelong friends after starring together in the 1992 romance blockbuster “The Bodyguard.” Costner was one of eight people who spoke at Houston’s funeral in 2012.

“I could feel the weight on her, now it’s shifted to me,” Costner said about speaking at the funeral. “What am I going to say about this little girl? [I] went back to that church in Newark and it was filled. It was electric. There were two bands playing, the church was alive. It was like, boom!”

Costner starred in “The Bodyguard” as a former U.S. Secret Service agent who is hired to be the bodyguard for a famous star (Houston) when she is targeted by an unknown stalker. The film grossed $411 million worldwide to become the second highest-grossing movie of 1992, and Houston’s renditions of “I Will Always Love You” and “I Have Nothing” powered the official soundtrack to a Grammy win for album of the year. It remains the best-selling movie soundtrack of all time.

“I don’t think we’ll ever forget when that little song came out, that [Houston] just blew up,” Costner recalled in 2022 about “I Will Always Love You” and Houston’s success after the movie. “She sang the first part of it a cappella and musically the world was never the same. We have a moment of her in that movie we’ll never ever forget that and I think that when movies are working at their best, that’s what can happen.”

One pressing question for every new NFL offensive play caller in 2024

With NFL mandatory minicamps starting for some teams this week and organized team activities in full swing, coaches and players have begun laying the foundation for the 2024 regular season.

Nearly half of the league — 15 of 32 teams — has changed offensive coordinators since last season. That number grows to 16 if you include the Bills , who promoted Joe Brady to interim OC after firing Ken Dorsey in November, then gave him the permanent job. Offseason practices give the new assistant coaches an important opportunity to begin to install the systems their players will execute.

Here’s one pressing question facing each new offensive play caller entering this season. We’ll address pressing questions for new defensive play callers later this week.

Atlanta Falcons : Zac Robinson

Can the former Rams assistant position Kirk Cousins for the ever-elusive breakthrough?

The Falcons swung big in free agency, signing Cousins away from Minnesota on a four-year, $180 million contract. He got that deal despite the fact he is coming off Achilles surgery and owns a 1-3 playoff record in 12 seasons with the Vikings and Commanders . Robinson’s task: Design an offense that capitalizes on Cousins’ strengths and maximizes the output of tight end Kyle Pitts , running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London , among others. The NFC South is wide open and Atlanta could be setup for a playoff run if Robinson can help Cousins put his postseason shortcomings behind him.

Carolina Panthers : Dave Canales

Can he help Bryce Young catch up to C.J. Stroud ?

Landing the top pick of the 2023 draft didn’t translate into immediate success in Carolina. Frank Reich and his staff got just 11 games before being fired , after Bryce Young and his teammates sorely underperformed. Meanwhile, Stroud (the No. 2 pick) attacked the record books and led Houston to a surprise AFC South title. Now, in comes Canales as head coach and offensive play-caller. He was Geno Smith ’s quarterbacks coach in Seattle and Baker Mayfield’s offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay, and now is charged with putting Young on the path to greatness. Canales’ plan likely will rely heavily on the run game to ease pressure on Young as he acclimates to new pass-catching additions Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette . Brad Idzik is Carolina’s new offensive coordinator.

Chicago Bears : Shane Waldron

How will he prepare No. 1 pick Caleb Williams for high-level production quickly?

After a three-year stint as offensive coordinator in Seattle, where he helped revive Geno Smith’s career, Waldron comes to Chicago tasked with positioning Williams for franchise-changing success. Peers praise Waldron for his offensive mind and for his ability to connect with and communicate with players and fellow coaches. Gaining a strong understanding of Williams’ thought process and learning style will go a long way toward putting the rookie quarterback and a much-improved Chicago roster on the right track.

Cincinnati Bengals : Dan Pitcher

Will continuity position Joe Burrow and the Bengals for a rebound?

Head coach Zac Taylor intends to remain the primary play-caller, but he is collaborative in this process. Taylor elevated Pitcher from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator this offseason following Brian Callahan’s departure to be head coach for the Titans . Taylor is banking on continuity and a larger role for a familiar figure in Pitcher to help Burrow and the offense bounce back after an injury-riddled 2023.

Cleveland Browns : Ken Dorsey

Is he the man to help Deshaun Watson finally live up to expectations?

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski hasn’t said if he’ll call offensive plays or cede those duties to Dorsey. Stefanski and former offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt squeezed everything they could out of Cleveland’s offense and reached the playoffs with Joe Flacco filling in for the injured Watson. But Stefanski still felt like a fresh set of eyes was necessary to help the Browns finally get a return on their $230 million and six-draft-pick investment in Watson. Dorsey, fired in Buffalo after Josh Allen and company regressed in 1 1/2 seasons under his direction, must prove he was the right choice. As quarterbacks coach, Dorsey certainly seemed good for Allen. But play-calling proved more challenging.

Las Vegas Raiders : Luke Getsy

Can he help the Raiders win with Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew ?

The Raiders missed out on one of the top quarterbacks in April’s draft. That leaves them with O’Connell, a 2023 fourth-round pick, and journeyman Minshew as their top options. Getsy must help coach Antonio Pierce settle on a starter, then figure out how to position that selection and the offense for success. Getsy arrives from Chicago , where he failed to help Justin Fields live up to his potential. Can he achieve success while working with two more conventional quarterbacks?

Los Angeles Chargers : Greg Roman

How will his style fit with Justin Herbert ’s?

Jim Harbaugh brought a familiar face with him to the Chargers in Roman, his 49ers offensive coordinator from 2011-14. The hope in L.A. is that Harbaugh can help Herbert continue to ascend, but Roman as OC is a curious choice; he tends to have conservative, run-heavy offenses. Lamar Jackson hit a ceiling when Roman was Ravens OC, then blossomed further after he left. How will things play out for Herbert and the Chargers? A revamped rushing attack is a certainty with Austin Ekeler gone, and Herbert also has lost top wideout Keenan Allen . Easing pressure on Herbert while further elevating his game is priority No. 1.

go-deeper

Chargers coordinators Jesse Minter, Greg Roman detail their philosophies, schemes

New England Patriots : Alex Van Pelt

How ready is Drake Maye to usher the Patriots into a new era ?

Bill Belichick’s legendary run in New England has ended, and former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is now the head coach. Mayo has tabbed Van Pelt to lead the Patriots’ offense, a task that also includes developing Maye, the No. 3 pick. The North Carolina product is believed to have all of the skills and traits necessary to shine in the NFL , but some talent evaluators view him as a bit of a project, so he may initially sit . Veteran Jacoby Brissett could wind up with interim starter duties.

go-deeper

What will the Patriots offense look like with a new coordinator and quarterback?

New Orleans Saints : Klint Kubiak

Can he save coach Dennis Allen’s job?

The Saints expected the acquisition of Derek Carr to position them to contend for the NFC South title in 2023, but they lost the division to the Buccaneers and longtime offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. was fired. Carr wasn’t awful — he completed 68.4 percent of his passes for 3,878 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions — and the Saints ranked ninth in scoring and 14th in yards per game. New Orleans, however, went 2-6 against eventual playoff teams.

Kubiak — a member of the Shanahan coaching tree — brings an entirely different system that should capitalize on running back Alvin Kamara ’s skills and provide balance to ease some pressure on Carr. Improved offensive success against top opponents is a must, especially given the pressure on Allen, who has missed the playoffs in each of his first two seasons in New Orleans.

Philadelphia Eagles : Kellen Moore

How will he blend his own playbook with Nick Sirianni’s and position Jalen Hurts for further growth?

Hurts and the Eagles displayed great promise in their first two seasons under Sirianni, climbing to the top of the NFC in 2022 before falling short in the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs . Then Hurts and the Eagles’ offense regressed, and after starting the regular season 10-1 they finished 11-6 and lost 32-9 to the Buccaneers in the wild-card round. Sirianni, who had shouldered a heavy play-calling load along with his coordinators, looked outside of the organization for help. He believed Hurts and the offense could benefit from fresh ideas and tabbed Moore, previously the Cowboys (2019-22) and Chargers (2023) offensive coordinator.

Hurts has experienced rampant change during his young NFL career, playing for three different coordinators in four years. But he also had a different offensive coordinator every year in college. Moore will try to take the best elements of the Eagles’ pre-existing playbook and blend it with the best of his own in hopes of restoring an explosive attack that can position Philadelphia to contend in the NFC again.

Pittsburgh Steelers : Arthur Smith

Can Russell Wilson and/or Fields salvage their careers under Smith?

Head coach Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan hit the reset button, moving on from Kenny Pickett after just two seasons, first acquiring Wilson and then Fields. Tomlin hired Smith, fired earlier this offseason after three seasons as Atlanta’s head coach, to breathe life into a stagnant Steelers offense. As OC in Tennessee, Smith displayed creativity that helped Ryan Tannehill produce some of his best seasons. But now he has an aging Wilson and an underdeveloped Fields to work with. Smith likes throwing the ball over the middle. Wilson struggles here and is better throwing to the outside and downfield. Fields displayed great scrambling ability in Chicago, but must grow as a passer.

Wilson is expected to be the starter despite his unceremonious dismissal from Denver . Can Smith use a strong run game to ease pressure on Wilson, as the Seahawks did for years? If that doesn’t work, how quickly can he coach up Fields to play at a high level for Pittsburgh, which hasn’t enjoyed a deep playoff run since 2016?

go-deeper

Steelers' tight ends giddy about Arthur Smith's offense: 'Sky is the limit'

Seattle Seahawks : Ryan Grubb

Can he get even more out of Geno Smith and company?

Smith has enjoyed a career revival, becoming one of the NFL’s most efficient quarterbacks the past two seasons in Seattle. He earned Pro Bowl honors each season, but Seattle went 0-1 in the 2022 postseason and narrowly missed the playoffs last year.

Despite Smith’s effectiveness, the Seahawks offense ranked middle of the pack in most major statistical categories. The hope is that Grubb can add an element of explosiveness the unit lacked under Waldron. The Seahawks did acquire Sam Howell from Washington hoping he can develop into a long-term upgrade in the event the offense has reached its ceiling with Smith at the helm.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers : Liam Coen

Will familiarity help Mayfield build on last season’s resurgence?

After a nomadic 2022 campaign with the Panthers and Rams, Mayfield found a home with Tampa Bay last season and quarterbacked the Buccaneers to an NFC South title and wild-card win. But Canales, his OC last season, is now head coach in Carolina. Todd Bowles hired former Rams offensive assistant Coen to direct the offense. His system is similar to the schemes Canales ran last season, and Coen worked with Mayfield during his brief but promising five-game stint with the Rams late in 2022. Will this familiarity lead to a relatively smooth transition? If so, repeating as NFC South champs is a realistic goal.

kevin smith tour dates 2022

Tennessee Titans : Brian Callahan

Can the first-year head coach handle the juggling act?

Callahan never handled play-calling duties in five seasons as Bengals offensive coordinator. Yet his vision and strong organizational and communication skills impressed Titans GM Ran Carthon enough to give Callahan the head coaching job. Callahan intends to serve as primary play-caller for the Titans, and his duties also include developing second-year quarterback Will Levis while directing a roster caught in the midst of a rebuild. That’s a lot for the first-year head coach, who hired Nick Holz as his offensive coordinator.

Washington Commanders : Kliff Kingsbury

Can he position Jayden Daniels for an impactful rookie campaign?

Regarded as a bright offensive mind, Kingsbury returns to the NFL after one season as coordinator at USC. The former Cardinals head coach kicked off his NFL career in 2019 working with Kyler Murray . Now he’s tasked with grooming another high draft pick into a franchise quarterback .

Daniels, the second pick out of LSU, has been compared to Lamar Jackson. He has a talented collection of pass catchers in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson and tight end Zach Ertz , and two quality running backs in Ekeler and Brian Robinson Jr. But Washington’s offensive line is rebuilding, which could hamper Daniels. Kingsbury must work to mask the deficiencies of the unit and maximize the gifts his young passer has to offer.

Coldplay Pledges to Lower Carbon Emissions on 2022 Tour

On Thursday (Oct. 14), Coldplay announced the dates for its 2022 global tour in support of the upcoming album 'Music of the Spheres.'

By Gil Kaufman

Gil Kaufman

Coldplay announced the dates for an expansive 2022 world tour in support of the group’s upcoming Max Martin-produced album, Music of the Spheres  on Thursday morning (Oct. 14). The stadium outing is slated to kick off on March 18 with the band’s first-ever show in Costa Rica, at the Estadio Nacional, before moving on to the Dominican Republic and Mexico and then touching down in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on April 23 for a U.S. run slated to last through a June 14 gig at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

H.E.R. is on board to support the majority of the dates, with London Grammar booked to open a July 10 show in Berlin and an Aug. 16 gig at Wembley Stadium in London. Tickets for the U.S. dates will go on sale to the general public on Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. local time here , with a release teasing that more dates will be announced soon.

Ed Sheeran Joins Coldplay to Perform 'Fix You' & 'Shape of You' at London Album Party

In an effort to make the tour as sustainable as possible, the band announced that all the shows will be powered by 100% renewable energy, with pledges to cut tour emissions by 50% from the group’s 2016-17 world tour and plant one tree for every ticket sold. According to a release, each venue will be equipped with solar installations and other renewable power sources including waste cooking oil and a kinetic stadium floor with kinetic bikes powered by fans that will store energy in the first-ever mobile, rechargeable show battery.

Coldplay are also encouraging fans to use low-carbon transport to and from shows through the official tour app, rewarding those who do with a discount at the venues, in addition to making sure that all merch is sustainably and ethically sourced. There will also be free drinking water and efforts made to eliminate plastic bottles at every venue; click here to see the full list of sustainability goals.

In a statement, the band said, “Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together. At the same time, we’re very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis. So we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward. We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn. It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far. If you’d like to come to a show and sing with us, we’re so excited to see you.”

The Rolling Stones Announce ‘Hackney Diamonds’ North American Stadium Tour

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

The Rolling Stones are hitting stadiums across North America in 2024 to celebrate the release of their new album, Hackney Diamonds . The 16-city tour (which includes a headlining slot at Jazz Fest in New Orleans) kicks off April 28 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and wraps up July 17 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Ticket sales begin December 1 at 10:00 am.

Hackney Diamonds is the first Rolling Stones album of new material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang . Produced by Andrew Watt and featuring guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Lady Gaga, the album was met with near-universal acclaim. “A collection of bangers (old-school division) that nobody in their right mind had a right to expect in 2023,” Rolling Stone ’s David Browne wrote, “Hackney Diamonds isn’t just another new Stones album, but a vibrant and cohesive record — the first Stones album in ages you’ll want to crank more than once before filing away.”
