It will fly over the Tulip field area so you always have a great view over the region. As a bird you will stretch out and visit the fields from a total different perspective. The exact departure location and time can only be confirmed 3 days in advance because the local government determines the exact departure location 3 days before the flight. Your pilot will also email you how to get to the departure location and will give you tips and advice about the area and how to go to the departure location. This will be from a tulip field farm in Lisse or Noordwijk.

The ticket price is 126 euro for 10 minute flight and 189 euro for 15 minute flight. However this is per person, not per helicopter. So if 4 people take the tour, they need 4 tickets even if they share the same flight.

Children are allowed on the Keukenhof helicopter tour but you need a regular ticket for them.

You can book your tickets for a specific date and get a confirmation back to your email. Then, three days before your flight you will receive the precise information about the departure location, time and route.

You do not need to print anything. You can just show your ticket from your smartphone.

Flight departure location

The precise location is not known long in advance. The local government decides from which meadow close to Keukenhof the helicopters can depart from. They do that one week before departure. And you will get an email with precise location at least 3 days before your helicopter flight tour to Keukenhof by Amsterdam.

Please arrive to the helipad at least 15 minutes before your flight time.

In case of bad weather

If the pilot thinks that the weather is too rainy, foggy or windy, and that the Keukenhof helicopter ride tour would not be safe or of high quality, it gets cancelled and everybody gets their money back.

Visiting Keukenhof is high on the bucket list of every tourist who visits Holland in spring. A visit to the flower park takes on average between 2 and 4 hours . Of course, the duration of the visit depends on your interest in flowers. Your ticket is valid until closing time (19:30).

The flower park will be open every day from Thursday 21 March to Sunday 12 May 2024 from 8 a.m. to 7.30 p.m .

To visit Keukenhof you need a day ticket and you have to choose a time slot to enter the flower park. After entry, you may remain in the park until closing time. The price for a Keukenhof ticket is in 2024:

Keukenhof Flower Park will be using day tickets with a time slot for entry from the 2024 season onwards. It is therefore wise to reserve your day and time slot in advance. Reserving is very easy and can be done right when you buy the tickets. Check the day of your choice below and you will immediately see the available time slots. Please note: the time slot is only for entering Keukenhof. After that you can stay in the flower park as long as you like.

The flower park is centrally located in the Randstad between the cities of Amsterdam, Haarlem, Leiden and The Hague. The park is easily accessible by car and has a large car park where you can buy a day ticket for € 10.00 in addition to your tickets. A visit to the flower park of the Netherlands can be perfectly combined with a lovely walking or cycling tour. The tulip fields surrounding Keukenhof are a major crowd puller each spring for visitors from around the world. From the flower park you can take a 45-minute boat trip along the Dutch flower fields north of the park. From the water you have a great view of the fields and hear the story of tulip cultivation.

In order not to disturb the nature too much, the tour is carried out with noiseless electrically powered canal boats. You will sail silently through the beautiful Dutch flower landscape. You sail peacefully along the endless flower fields. The whisper boats are suitable for young and old. It is important, however, that you are able to get in and out yourself (with a little help). Wheelchairs are unfortunately not allowed on the boats.

The Keukenhof tour is not included with your Keukenhof ticket. In previous seasons, you had to buy tickets in the park itself and wait to see if there was still room. In 2024, the canal cruise cannot be booked through our website. Tickets are available at the mill in Keukenhof flower park.

Please note! The prices below do not include the entrance to Keukenhof. Because the departure location of the boat is in Keukenhof, an entrance ticket to the flower park is required.

For Keukenhof, it is also mandatory to reserve a ticket for the day you want to visit the flower park.

During the Easter weekend in 2025, helicopter flights will again be available to view the flower fields from the air. The sightseeing flights will be on Friday 18 April, Saturday 19 April and Sunday 20 April .

The Easter weekend is one of the busier weekends of the Tulip Festival. If you want to admire the flower fields from the air from with a helicopter, we recommend booking your sightseeing flight in time. Only 1 helicopter is available and the number of round trips is limited. All flights will start from short distance from Keukenhof Gardens .
