Sample Itinerary | A typical vacation in Iceland!

Each small group tour package will be fitted to the dates you provide and include as many of your requested activities as is possible, so no two packages are quite the same. however, the below sample itinerary is a good example of something that is quite achievable over the space of a typical vacation. if you include everything noted, you will need a full 9 days, including arrival and departure day. of course, this can be amended to as many or as few days as you wish. the suggestions below are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we can create for you. we hope you like what we’ve come up with, arrival day , upon arriving in iceland, we’ll have you transfer from kef airport to reykjavík . depending on arrival times, this could be the day you stop off at the  blue lagoon before heading to reykjavík. your driver would wait patiently while you relax in the warm waters of the blue lagoon. afterward, they’ll transfer you to reykjavík to check in to your accommodation there., later in the day, you could also look to join our friends from wake up reykjavík for their reykjavík food walk . this is a great way to get to know the culinary culture of reykjavík, as well as getting to know the city better. the 3.5 hour tour includes all food from 5 restaurants in reykjavík. you won’t walk away from this tour feeling hungry, golden circle: platinum tour, you start the day by bathing at the oldest hot pool in the country, the secret lagoon. then you’ll eat inside a geothermal tomato greenhouse called friðheimar with towering tomato plants. in the afternoon, you check out the most popular attractions in the country. this includes visiting the thunderous  gullfoss waterfall  and the ever erupting geyser,  strokkur . at the end of the day, you will drive through the þingvellir national park , where the original parliament was first held. coincidentally, this is also an area of geologically significance too. in fact, here, you can literally cross from one tectonic plate to another. iceland literally bridges the gap. not many people can say they’ve jumped continents without getting their feet wet..
