Schedule confirmed for England Men’s Tour of the Caribbean

Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the match schedule and venues for England Men’s T20 Internationals and Test Tours of the West Indies in January and March 2022.

England will arrive in the Caribbean to play the first-ever five-match T20I Series between the two teams. All five matches in Barbados will be played across a nine-day period from January 22 to 30, 2022, including two consecutive weekends of back-to-back T20 cricket.

Following West Indies’ white-ball tour of India in February 2022, the West Indies will welcome England back to the region for a three-match Test Series to compete for the newly created Richards-Botham Trophy. This new trophy honours two legends of cricket, Lord Ian Botham and Sir Vivian Richards, whose friendship and on-field heroics became synonymous with some of their respective teams greatest Test match moments.

The Test Series will start at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (SVRCG) in Antigua on March 8, 2022 before moving to the Kensington Oval in Barbados for the 2nd Test starting on March 16. The 3rdTest match will commence on March 24 in Grenada at the National Cricket Stadium.

CWI will welcome fully vaccinated England fans throughout the tour. Online ticket sales will commence in mid-November through CWI’s ticket platform. England supporters can sign up to receive the first news of tickets going sale at https://www.windiescricket.com/updates.

West Indies v England 2023 International Home Series Fixtures Announced

Three CG United ODIs and five T20Is to be played in December across four venues

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) today announced the full schedule for the West Indies Men’s 2023 International Home series against England. The world champions will visit the Caribbean in December where they will play a three-match CG United One-Day International (ODI) Series and five match T20 International (T20I) Series.

England arrive in Antigua to start the tour with two CG United ODIs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on 3 and 6 December. The third CG United ODI will be played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 9 December followed on 12 December by the first of five T20Is.

The Spice Isle of Grenada welcomes both teams for two T20Is on 14 and 16 December and the tour concludes in the week before Christmas with the fourth and fifth T20Is at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad which will be hosting a West Indies vs England men’s fixture for the first time on 19 and 21 December.

CWI’s Chief Executive Officer, Johnny Grave said:

: “We are delighted to be able to confirm the England match schedule and to welcome once again their many travelling fans to the region for a pre-Christmas white-ball tour. “

Grave added: “This tour will be a major economic boost to the host countries, as well as providing our fans with the chance to see some of their favourite players in action against one of our biggest rivals. The tour will also help with our ongoing venue preparation and event planning for one of the biggest events ever to be staged in the region, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which takes place in June next year.

“We also look forward to announcing the fixtures and venues for the India tour of the West Indies in July and August very soon.”

OPENING OF TICKET OFFICE AT KENSINGTON OVAL FOR INTERNATIONAL SERIES We are pleased to announce the opening of the ticket office at Kensington Oval for the upcoming T20 International cricket series between West Indies and England in Barbados. The office hours will be from 10:00am to 6:00pm during the January 18-30, 2022 period and there is a maximum of 4 tickets that may be purchased by any individual. It has also been determined that the seating of fully vaccinated persons allowed in the stadium will not exceed 50% of its capacity. Please be reminded that the International T20 matches are scheduled to commence at 4:00pm on January 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30, 2022.

Senior citizens and all locals who present their National Id cards will be eligible for a 50% discount on each ticket purchased.

The schedule for England's T20 and Test tour of the West Indies in January and March 2022 has been announced by Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

England will arrive in the Caribbean to play the first-ever five-match T20I series between the two teams.

All five matches in Barbados will be played across a nine-day period from January 22 to January 30, including two consecutive weekends of back-to-back T20 cricket.

The Test series will start at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (SVRCG) in Antigua on March 8, 2022 before moving to the Kensington Oval in Barbados for the second Test starting on March 16.
