The best day of our holiday!

The Marmaris jeep safari was honestly the best part of our holiday to Turkey this summer. Extremely good fun from7 to 77 and great value for money. Marmaris Travel is the best safari company in town and they are brilliant. The safari takes up full day day, but is well worth it. They picked us up from our hotel with some other guests and then taken from an introduction chat with the other jeeps. The guys in the team are very friendly, great with their English skills and informative. The safari tour involves driving through villages with the mountain scenery around you will stop at the waterfall, Jesus beach, lunch, local villages. Some little tips that will help you: take a towel and sunglasses for the dirt track - you will get wet and a little muddy! Also, take a camera, but (don't forget to protect it from water and mud) if you want as there are so many photo opportunities. There's a photographer taking photos of you the entire safari tour and you can buy all your pictures and videos on a CD. I would highly recommend Marmaris Jeep Safari to anyone staying in the town, whether it's couples, families or groups of friends.

There no animals on this safari tour but the water fight can bring out some competitivenessIt was the best fun ever! They stop off for waterfall which is really good and Jesus Beech was cool too. Note of warning if you do decide to go on this trip bring a towel, perhaps a spare tshirt. if you have phone with you, it is worth while bring a plastic seal-able bag to protect it from the water!

The jeep safari was one of the best activities we did as a group! It was very competitive and we got stuck in. Was great fun and we got completely drenched, it was brilliant!!! Jeep safari was such a laugh, throwing water bombs to the other jeeps and squirting with the water guns, it was crazy.

Great way to end it was going to the Jesus beach and a beautiful waterfall that you were able to jump off! Great pictures and videos where taken throughout the day and not to forget the good was fab! Definitely would do it again, money well spent, memories not to be forgotten!

Jeep safari is real fun , fun , fun !!!! We booked couple trips from mares travel and jeep safari tour in Marmaris was one of the best one that i can recommend you guys . Wear your swimming costume because you will get really wet during the day. Its really good day out if you have children in your group.

We had a wonderful holiday in Marmaris this summer during our stay in this beautiful town we have done couple of excursions but the best one was the Marmaris Jeep Safari Tour. If you ever plaining a holiday in Marmaris then i will definitly recommed to do the jeep safari in Marmaris. Belive it is always well worth. We booked our jeep safari tour through Mares Travel online which worked out significantly cheaper than through Thomas Cook at our hotel or the offers on the street. In the morning we were put into our jeep (4 of us, another family of 4 and a couple) the driver spoke little English but was friendly and entertaining. We were a convoy of 6 jeeps, led by a colorful character named Rambo who was very talkative & gave us lots of information.

The water fights between jeeps were brilliant fun, a real highlight for the kids and a great way to cool down in the heat!

Lunch was also good, we enjoyed a basic meal of salads, breads and chicken kebabs.

The setting at the waterfall was lovely & we were brave enough to swim in the icy cold water (take your breath away cold!)

This is a great day out for children and adults alike, we had the best day and time flies by so quickly. Definitely recommend bringing an extra T-shirt or something because you do get soaked in the water fight but the heat does tend to dry you off quite quickly. Do not confuse Mares Travel company with some of the jeep safari company in this area, Mares is a superbly run company and their safari tours are first class. Jeep safari is the most fun I have had in ages. Having never done a safari tour like this I didnt know what to expect, but it was great fun. I just never stopped laughing all day and I would easily recommend this safari tour to anyone.

The tour started after they picked us up outside our hotel and drove up through Marmaris and into the pine forests with our driver Rambo is driving the jeep and finding every muddy puddle he could drive through. We had lots of fun with the water fights. Definitely one of the best trip ever thanks to Rambo thank you guys.

This is one of the first trips we done at marmaris and it was fun from start to finish, you will get really wet but you soon dry of and Rambo had my boys laughing all the time but you need to see the funny side with his humour as it won’t be for everyone. What a laugh from start to end this realy was great fun. Watergun fight was hilarious. The waterfall was great and lunch was good. The Jesus beach was certainly worth a visit. Water Guns: After a 15-minute drive we will arrive to a small field in the out skirts of the mountains, where you will be able to rent water guns.

Comfort Break: After one our long drive through the amazing nature, we will arrive to the secluded serene spot where we will take a break. Equipped with showers, cafeteria and toilets, this spot is perfect for us to freshen up and rest a bit.

Visiting the Waterfall: On the out skirts of a charming local village, we will get to take a picture-break and visit the waterfall. You will get to take some incredible camera shots, and you will be able to take a dip in the water as well. If you decide to take a swim we should warn you that the water here is very cold, even in midsummer.

Lunch Break: After a few hours of driving and having fun, we will have a lunch break. Drinks are also available, but they are not included in the tour price.

Visiting Jesus Beach: During our adventurous escapade, we will visit the amazing Jesus Beach. This beach is famous for a unique natural phenomenon. One long sand wall is dividing the gulf in two, forming a path directly through the deep turquoise water. We will spend an hour on this beautiful beach, so you will get to enjoy all its charms.

Return to Marmaris: Once our adventure is over, we will drive you back to your hotel in Marmaris at approximately 16.00 in the afternoon. There are no age restrictions concerning this tour, so you ay enjoy it as a family affair as well.

I joined the marmaris jeep safari tour with my family, after having breakfast at the hotel early in the morning, they picked us up and took us to a few beautiful routes to visit in Marmaris. My and my family’s favorite place was Kız Kum, we loved it very much, our guide hosted us with a smile throughout the tour, we had lunch at a nice restaurant, and at the end of the tour, we were taken back to the hotel. Jeep Safari Tour in Marmaris

Jeep-Safari tour in Marmaris is one of the most popular excursions in Marmaris. Everyone should try it at least once. You might get addicted to it.

The jeep safari is a great way to see the surrounding countryside and villages of the Marmaris area. The day is a must for those adventurous at heart and who wish to enjoy stunning views and scenery off the beaten track, whilst having fun in an open top jeep.

DEPARTURE: Every day. Pick up at approx. 09:30 from Marmaris / Icmeler. RETURN: Approx. 18.00. Price Includes: Pick up from the hotel and drop off, lunch, insurance, driver, and guide.

Jeep Safari-Off Road / Village Tour:   You will be picked up from your hotel by your allocated jeep at around 9:30 am. All the jeeps will gather at a meeting spot just up the hill above Marmaris and will form a convoy of usually 5 – 15 jeeps. The day is not a race and the convoy will travel in an orderly fashion at appropriate speeds for the terrain.

The speed limit on mountain tracks is 50 km/h (30 mph). The convoy will climb up the mountains and take a stop at the top for a photo opportunity of the stunning panoramic view of the Marmaris bay. The convoy will then continue on mountain tracks through villages and beautiful countryside.

The jeeps will make a stop at a waterfall and a secluded beach for swim stops and there will be plenty of opportunities for more spectacular photographs of the surrounding views. Lunch is provided in a small traditional village cooked by local Turkish villagers.

After lunch, the convoy continues inland and again goes off-road through the rugged mountains. There will be plenty of sights to see along the way pointed out by the guides and of course the famous water-fight to look forward to.

Please note that water pistols are available to hire from the guides for an extra charge. You will arrive back at your accommodation at approximately between 17:00-18:00 pm.

DO NOT FORGET TO BRING: – Sunglasses – Suncream – Towel – Camera – Swimwear (it is a good idea to wear swimwear underneath your clothes)

We recommend bringing a plastic bag to store your high-value items in (e.g. camera) during the water fight. We do not take responsibility for damaged items on this excursion from water or from the jolts and momentum of the jeeps.

Marmaris Jeep Safari Tour is not suitable for children under 6 years. Pregnant women and those with existing back injuries should seek medical advice on the suitability of this excursion.

we took part at your tour yesterday, July 19 and had good fun. We also ordered the photos. There were very nice pictures among those, but we were a little disappointed, because the photos of the waterfall and “Jesus beach” were not among them, despite the fact that you took portraits there. Was that a misunderstanding? Do we have to buy those separately?

Trip good. Went on June 10. But here DVD bought from photographers upset. Shootings awful. The picture skips, there are no sharpnesses, clips for 5 seconds with fragmentary endings. It is a pity that spent money for this DVD. I thought that photographers professionals. On a disk with photos I selected only 80 with high quality. Too there are a lot of indistinct. If I go next time, I will count only on the camera.

You pay the trip and when you get there they ask you to pay for water gun and for the water. This is absurd, normally in a water fight you should have only your clothes on you, not worry about payments. After the water fight you will go to lunch. I mean, how absurd is that? They do everything to make you spend 1 lira extra.

Do not take anything electrical with you. No phones, no camera nothing! We booked this when we were there and were never told about the water fight. Even the description here is not great. You and the whole of the truck will get drenched. My friend and I brought our bags with our phones and cameras and we were so miserable. There was nothing we could do to stop our bags getting wet even putting our towels over them. My phone broke!

At one point they got a huge hose out and there was nothing you could do to get away with it. We were so miserable.

The guy who was in charge came over to ask us if we would like the video, we said no thankyou. It wasn’t happy with this so I told him I had been on the jeep safari before (completely different) and have the video from that. So he said “why even bother coming then” and stormed off.

We were so miserable after this trip. Though we know we could of had more fun if we were prepared for what was going to happen and the guy wasn’t nasty to us.

I would stick to thomas cook/thomson/first choice jeep safari as it is so much better. No water fights and better locations.

We have done other trips with his company like boat trip/Cleopatra beach trip it was lovely!

Just go with a warning, imagine jumping in a swimming pool fully clothed. That is how wet you will get. Your towels will be soaked as well.

It was not bad at all. We were today. Is was great. We took our phone with us. All the people had their phones. The driver got us plastic bags for our staff. After the watter fighting we stopped and stayed in the sun dry off. It s worth a try. Best wishes

i done this last year and even though being 20 weeks pregnant I had so much fun! the drivers and guides are so friendly (even though one of the drivers tried throwing me in a bath (not realising I was pregnant) & just want you to have as much fun as possible. we booked this along side the Turkish bath and the boat trip and ive never wanted to do it all again so much! defiantly recommend doing this if you have kids and don’t mind acting like one yourself.

I’d recommend anyone to do this. 4 of us just got back from a week in Marmaris and we did this on one of the days! It was fantastic fun and only £12.50 each – such a bargain! We also got a CD of the pics of the day and a DVD for 50 lira (about £17) deleivered to the hotel that night. Jesus beach was great and the scenery was lovely – be prepared to hire your water pistol. It’s only 10 lira and although optional, it wouldn’t be half as much fun without one!!

Each year I go to Turkey and each year we do a Jeep Safari.. Last time I ended up in hospital due to a careless driver but can’t knock it for the price. It was still such a laugh, although the hospital costs wern’t so funny

my friend and myself went on jeep safari in sept2011. it was a brilliant time, b prepared to get soaked through;the jeeps stay together in a convoy, it is a really good day out, beautiful scenery.  we were in armutalan so we booked from there through the ones who run the trips it cost£10.00. u ay extra for ur gun, they video ur day out and you can order it and get it that evening. we had a brillant driver his name was talip. definately a trip well worth splashing out on. the jeeps all meet in the rio resturant in armutalan, nicky and dr,tango will take ur booking and money there in the resturant,  go and enjoy………………….

when we first went to turkey we did this, was amazing and really fun, only problem was there was wasps all over the place so we couldnt realy eat are food flying in to the drinks we had, was really fun though

our jeep safari was a total nightmare..firstly our jeep broke down, instead of getting us another we were put in another jeep that already had three people in. two of our group had to stand. the driver was a mad man with no regard to safety. he was speeding down a public road trying to over take his friend in the jeep ahead. 

I have a really odd question we went on this safari whilst on Thomson cruises and we brought a dvd to keep the memories and my dad decided to throes it away is there anyway of getting another one? My email is [email protected] please help. X

this is the best thing ever!!! i was in marmaris for two weeks end of july beginning of august! we did the jeep safari twice while there. It was an extra 10lira for the water gun, but trust me its well worth it consindering when i was there 10lira was about 3quidish. also they do a dvd which u can buy at the end of the day, its hillirous to take home and show your family and friends. absoulutletly loved it, and you catch a mint tan aswell. you get picked up around 9ish drive into the mountains, all wait for all the other jeeps, you have the massive water fight in your jeeps. driving past each other and just squirting the water at absoulutley anyone! then u stop at the beach, go for lunch the the water falls then drop you off at your hotel about half 5ish. if you dont go you will regret it!!

Just come back from Marmaris 30.06.2011 – 8 July 2011 – 1st time in Turkey. LOVED IT!!!

I have to recommend the Jeep Safari – £14.99 each – pick up from hotel 9am, drop off 6pm – this includes safari, lunch and various stops along the way – Jesus Beach & waterfalls etc.

You get totally soaked to the skin – well worth it though. You pay 10 Lira (£4) for loan of super-soaker water guns and there are a couple of stops for you to re-fill your ‘weapons’.

There are about 15 LandRovers in a convoy – overtaking on bends and blasting you with water on route. The drivers every bit crazy as the passengers! An excellent fun-filled day for both children and the big kids at heart. A terrific day for all – well worth the money – we wanted to go EVERY DAY!! That good.

Can’t wait to go back – watch out!!!

We did this trip last year with a 9 month and 16 month, the driver was brilliant and didnt take our jeep through very rough terrain and the other jeep travellers were mindful that we had babies on board. We all had a brilliant time, very highly recommended!

Fantastic adventure

Absolutely worth the experience, our family had a great day out and had so much fun. A thoroughly fun day for all ages. Felt like naughty school kids on a bus! Although I would not advise this trip for small children, as the water fights can be too intense and the riding too tough. I wouldn’t take very small children as the seat belts aren’t designed for them. We purchased pictures and a video at our hotel’s reception.

W ith the 58th annual Easter Jeep Safari well underway in Moab, Utah, Stellantis has pulled the cover off of four brand-new off-road concepts. The lineup includes two highly-modified Wranglers, a big-tired Gladiator pickup, and a seriously retro take on the Grand Wagoneer , all of which take a look back at some of the Jeep’s greatest work for inspiration. Here’s what you need to know about these factory-modified wheelers.

Wrangler Low Down Concept

Jeep has built more than 100 of these custom 4x4s since 2008, but only a select few have managed to stick in the minds of the Jeep faithful. The new Rubicon 392 -based Wrangler Low Down concept pays homage to one of the most famous Easter Jeep Safari builds, the Lower 40 concept from 2009. That early build featured a V-8 engine swap under the hood, and made use of gigantic 40-inch rubber despite a stock ride height. The new truck is a bit more extreme, trading that old-school 5.7-liter V-8 for the potent 6.4-liter engine provided by the Rubicon 392. The new build also retains the stock suspension package from the Rubicon 392 model, but swaps out the stock Dana 44 axle for more robust Dana 60s with 5.38 gears. Those beefier axles help support the truck’s massive 42-inch BFGoodrich Krawler mud-terrain tires, which come installed on a set of 20-inch beadlock wheels. The stock fenders have been replaced with a set of flared carbon units, which help give the truck a purposeful stance. A Poison Apple Red paint job and a red-tinted bikini top are a nice nod to the original concept as well.

Wrangler 4xe Willys Dispatcher Concept

The second Wrangler build looks even further back in brand history, paying respects to the early civilian model Jeep from the post-war era . Based on the 4xe hybrid model, this Willys Dispatcher Concept gets some old-school appearance tweaks, including custom steel bumpers at both ends. The hood also features stamped “Willys” branding, which it shares with the original seven-barred product. Upgraded Dana 50 axles with 4.70 gears help increase capability, as do the Super Traxion 36-inch tires. That rubber comes wrapped around retro-style steel wheels, which are finished in a cream hue. The SUV itself is finished in a bespoke shade of Element 115 Green paint, which is accented nicely by the blacked out windshield banner. The best looking part of this custom SUV is the interior, complete with distressed saddle leather and houndstooth inserts throughout. The headrests have been pulled from the seats to improve that retro appearance. It’s the sort of thing we’d love to see make its way to the production models, however unlikely. The throwback style Warn Winch is another nice touch and helps to round out the package.

Gladiator High Top Concept

The Gladiator High Top Concept is a bit less of an involved build, borrowing mostly from the Jeep Performance Parts catalog. Upgrades include items like an AccuAir air suspension system, which work with Dana 60 axles at both ends to support 4x4 endeavors. The suspension system is put to the ground via a gigantic set of 40-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3s, which come wrapped around a set of 18-inch KMC Grenade Crawl beadlock wheels. A set of flat fender flares and AEV bumpers ensure that the large rubber is covered and ready for road-use, while giving the pickup some additional flair. Out back you’ll find a truck bed storage system by Decked, which brings a bit of overlanding capability to the build. A Warn Winch and some rock slider steps have also been added should any off-roading adventures take a turn for the worse.

Vacationeer Concept

Rounding out the 2024 Easter Jeep Safari lineup is the Grand Wagoneer-based Vacationeer Concept. The design is a clear nod to the original Wagoneer models, complete with the oh-so lovely wood grain graphics missing from the current production model. The woody look pairs very nicely with the Spearmint paint, which has slightly more white in the mix than the aforementioned Element 115 color. The wheel openings have also been massaged to make room for the larger 35-inch tires, which come wrapped around 18-inch Method Race wheels. A 1.5-inch suspension lift adds a bit of aggression to the stance, while bringing a bit more off-road capability to the table. The rear rows of seats have been removed in favor of a carbon-fiber RedTail Overland Skyloft, which serves as a passthrough rooftop tent for ideal camping conditions. Under the hood sits a high output variant of the Hurricane inline-six engine, which provides 510 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. That said, the real highlight of this build is found on the interior, where Jeep enlisted the assistance of fashion designer Kiel James Patrick. The custom flannel seats feature famous Jeep models from years gone by, and fit with the theme perfectly. This is exactly how the Grand Wagoneer should have looked in production form, but we’ll settle for a concept like this one.

The Easter Jeep Safari runs through March 31st, 2024 in Moab, Utah. If you’re a diehard Jeeper, it might be worth the trek to lay eyes on these unique concept vehicles.
