Teil ihres Repertoires sind nicht nur eigene Kompositionen, sondern auch zahlreiche Coversongs, die sie sowohl live spielen, als auch auf ihren vielen Alben veröffentlichten. Nächstes Jahr gehen Yo La Tengo auf Tour und spielen dabei zur Freude aller Indie-Rock-Fans im April 2023 auch drei Konzerte in Hamburg, Köln und Berlin . Die charismatischen Krikiterlieblinge

Trotz des begrenzten kommerziellen Erfolges gelten Yo La Tengo bis heute als Kritikerliebling und haben über die Jahrzente nicht nur so einige Lieder mit Ohrwurm-Potential produziert, sondern auch bereits in den weltbesten Konzertsälen, Museen und Kneipen gespielt. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1984 hat die amerikanische Band zahlreiche Singles veröffentlicht, sowie sage und schreibe 15 Studio-Album produziert, die allesamt einzigartige und besondere Lieder enthalten. Aber wenn die Musiker*innen eines nicht sind, dann ist es abgehoben. Auch nach Jahrzehnten im Musik-Business sind Gründerin Georgie Hubley , Ehemann und Co-Mitgründer Ira Kaplan , sowie Bassist James McNew , der seit 1992 Teil von Yo La Tengo ist, noch immer genauso symphatisch, charismatisch und auf dem Boden geblieben wie zu Beginn ihrer Karriere – und das, obwohl Yo La Tengo mit ihren Songs auf Spotify bereits hunderte Millionen Streams eingespielt hat. Allein ihr Hit „Autumn Sweater“ von 1997 verzeichnet mittlerweile fast 50 Millionen einzelne Streams .

Es ist also kein Wunder, dass Yo La Tengo noch immer mit ihrer Musik durch die Welt touren und dabei unzähligen Fans ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern. So auch bei ihrer jährlichen Reihe von Chanukka-Shows , durch die sie bereits hunderttausende Dollar für wohltätige Zwecke gespendet haben. In der diesjährigen Weihnachtszeit finden Yo La Tengos Chanukka-Konzerte im New Yorker Bowery Ballroom statt: Sieben Tage in Folge performt die Gruppe ihre Songs, feiert gemeinsam mit ihren Fans und spendet alle Erlöse an Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen.

Im nächsten Jahr geht es dann für Yo La Tengo wieder auf Tour , auf der sie auch für drei Konzerte zu uns nach Deutschland kommen. Tickets für die Yo La Tengo Konzerte in Hamburg, Köln und Berlin im April 2023 bekommt ihr ab dem 4. November bei Ticketmaster!

Just left the Stone Pony after a mesmerizing show! Yo La Tengo doesn’t disappoint! The playlist featured old and new ,.. loud and soft,... sweet melodies and screeching feedback. The music was- as always crisp and inspiring and built up to a riotous crescendo that rocked the audience producing palpable joy!! Watching/listening to these artists is a thoroughly inspiring experience- don’t miss it!

Yo La Tengo were every bit as good as I hoped. I liked the relative delicacy of the first half and then the very different, more anarchic sound of the second half. Overall it was great but I personally would have liked more quieter songs in total.

Georgia is amazing - so efficient in driving the band forward and providing the platform for the guitars. She has a lovely voice too.

The venue was interesting but the advance warning/news about the gig should have included a warning that those with relatively skinny backsides would need to bring a cushion.

Second time that I watch a concert from Yo La Tengo, really amazing musicians that play for the love of playing and not just for the public. The first part of the concert was really calm while in the second part the rhythm was more energetic and vivacious: the group surprised us with a very beautiful and intense musical journey .

I suggest this concert to people that are looking for a concert were they want to appreciate the performance of three very good musicians. They tends not to replicate in an exact way their songs but each time they give a new interpretation.

Ein Konzert wie eine Reise, unterteilt in 2 Hälften. Vor der kurzen Pause wunderschöne, ruhige Stücke, melancholisch, manchmal krautig in die Länge gezogen. Der zweite Teil laut, teilweise psychedelisch, ekstatisch. Ein 2 1/2 stündiger! Liveact der wirklich besonderen Art.

Yo La Tengo Announce Summer 2023 North American Tour

In support of their latest album, This Stupid World

Yo La Tengo have unveiled a Summer 2023 tour in support of their latest album, This Stupid World .

Following a string of dates in the UK and Europe, the North American run kicks off on June 9th in Jersey City, New Jersey, and will make subsequent stops in Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, and DC before wrapping in Atlanta on June 28th. See Yo La Tengo’s full touring schedule below.

Tickets for the North American tour go on sale on Friday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

In March, Yo La Tengo members Ira Kaplan and James McNew performed in drag during a Nashville show in apparent protest of a recently passed Tennessee law banning drag shows in public. The band also recently stopped by Seattle’s KEXP for a four-song acoustic live session, which you can watch below.

Yo La Tengo Announce 2018 Tour

Yo La Tengo have announced a series of tour dates. They kick off with a U.S. leg in March before continuing on through Europe. Check out their itinerary below. Prior to the tour, the band will play their first Hanukkah shows in 5 years during an eight-night run at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Check out their full itinerary below. Along with the tour announcement, Matador wrote : “MIGHT THIS TOUR HAVE SOMETHING OR OTHER TO DO WITH NEW RECORDINGS? Maybe. Possibly. Who can really say for sure in confusing times such as these.” Yo La Tengo’s last album, Stuff Like That There , arrived in 2015.

Yo La Tengo have unveiled a Summer 2023 tour in support of their latest album, This Stupid World .

Following a string of dates in the UK and Europe, the North American run kicks off on June 9th in Jersey City, New Jersey, and will make subsequent stops in Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, and DC before wrapping in Atlanta on June 28th. See Yo La Tengo’s full touring schedule below.

Tickets for the North American tour go on sale on Friday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

In March, Yo La Tengo members Ira Kaplan and James McNew performed in drag during a Nashville show in apparent protest of a recently passed Tennessee law banning drag shows in public. The band also recently stopped by Seattle’s KEXP for a four-song acoustic live session, which you can watch below.

La ex directora de Wakalua niega ser el "nexo" entre Globalia y Begoña Gómez para rescatar a Air Europa

PSOE y PP se enfrentan durante la comparecencia de Leticia Lauffer en la comisión del caso Koldo y esta les espeta: "Yo no voy a tomar partido por nadie"

Leticia Lauffer , directora del área comercial de Wakalua , filial de Globalia , entre mayo de 2019 y junio de 2023, ha negado en la Comisión del Senado que investiga el caso Koldo , haber sido el "nexo" de conexión entre Globalia, el grupo de la familia Hidalgo , y Begoña Gómez , esposa del presidente del Gobierno, para conseguir el rescate millonario de la compañía Air Europa . Lauffer ha rechazado también tener nada que ver con contratos para la compra de mascarillas durante la pandemia. "Yo no pintaba nada en esos asuntos", ha asegurado.

La declaración de Lauffer ha sido el escenario de un cruce acusaciones entre PSOE y PP a cuenta del caso Begoña Gómez. Unas acusaciones en las que se ha tratado de implicar a la compareciente quien, sin embargo, no se ha dejado condicionar ni por las advertencias del senador socialista contra las preguntas del PP, ni por las conclusiones que el representante popular ha sacado de sus respuestas.

El senador del PSOE ha optado por arremeter contra el PP asegurando que lo que pretende es "cortar las alas a mujeres profesionales brillantes como la compareciente y como Begoña Gómez". Y ha añadido que la presencia de Lauffer en la comisión "no tiene otro objetivo que alimentar la máquina del fango ante la derrota que va a padecer el PP el próximo domingo". El senador también ha aprovechado para cuestionar al juez Peinado por "citar a la esposa del presidente cinco días antes de las elecciones". Y ha añadido: "Todo esto es un bulo de PP y Vox para tratar de influir en el resultado electoral".

A este discurso, la compareciente ha replicado asegurando que su intención no es tomar partido "a favor de unos u otros" y ha recalcado no creer que el PP tenga nada en su contra. "Estoy aquí", ha dicho, "porque mi marido se fue a un medio de comunicación de segunda diciendo que yo tenía que ver con esto (...) De ahí viene mi nombre, no del PP. No creo que esto sea el PP contra mí".

Después el senador popular, por su parte, ha tratado de demostrar que Globalia "se desprendió de Wakalua" y de su directora, "una vez que consiguió sus objetivos". Esto es, el rescate de Air Europa. "Se abre un nuevo capítulo en la trama", ha dicho, "Globalia, a través de Wakalua, perseguía crear una relación directa con Begoña Gómez y Lauffer era una actriz principal en esa relación. Una vez logrado los objetivos ya no le hacían falta ni Wakalua ni Lauffer".

Según el senador del PP, Leticia Lauffer "sabe más de lo que dice". Una afirmación a la que la compareciente ha replicado: "Parece estar usted debajo de los felpudos".

"Yo los conocía a todos"

La ex directora de Wakalua ha admitido conocer a Begoña Gómez, a Javier Hidalgo, a Víctor de Aldama y a Carlos Barrabés -"Yo los conocía a todos", ha dicho-, pero no a Koldo García a quien asegura no haber visto nunca. Con la esposa de Pedro Sánchez mantuvo relación mientras Wakalua perteneció al Grupo Globalia. En ese tiempo, fue cuando Wakalua firmó un contrato de patrocinio por un total de 40.000 euros con el Africa Center de Begoña Gómez. Un contrato del que finalmente, por motivo de la pandemia, sólo se ejecutaron 1.700 euros para costear dos viajes de ida y vuelta a Londres.

Lauffer ha explicado que conoció a la esposa de Sánchez en septiembre de 2019, durante un viaje a San Petersburgo, y que su relación con ella siempre fue "cercana" porque era una persona "muy llana y muy cordial". El último mensaje que ambas se cruzaron vía whatsapp fue en febrero de 2021.

La compareciente ha asegurado que nunca vio "nada raro", en el sentido de que Gómez "quisiera conseguir o sacar algo" y ha añadido que en las cinco ocasiones en las que la mujer de Sánchez y Javier Hidalgo se vieron en su presencia "nunca se habló del rescate de Air Europa".

Respecto a Víctor de Aldama, principal comisionista de la trama Koldo, ha explicado que también lo conoció en San Petersburgo cuando este era "una persona empleada por Globalia en la dirección" con el objetivo de tratar de recuperar un dinero que se le debía en Venezuela.

Más estrecho era su trato con Carlos Barrabés, el dueño de Innova Next , la sociedad para la que Begoña Gómez firmó cartas de recomendación para que accediera a concursos de contratos públicos que finalmente se le adjudicaron. Laffer había trabajado para Barrabés y fue ella quien se lo presentó a Javier Hidalgo. El empresario ayudó a gestionar la puesta en marcha del primer programa de innovación abierta de Wakalua.

En este cruce de relaciones y contactos, la ex directiva de Wakalua ha afirmado que nunca tuvo ningún contacto con la cátedra que posteriormente ha dirigido Begoña Gómez en la Universidad Complutense pero ha afirmado que en la misma "había gente de Barrabés como profesores".

Preguntada por la conveniencia de que Begoña Gómez firmara cartas de recomendación de empresas a concursos públicos, la compareciente ha respondido escuetamente: "Tengo mi opinión personal pero me la guardo para mí".

La presentadora publica "gracias al miedo", su primer libro en el que se abre en canal sobre los temores e inseguridades que le abordaron tras ser madre y contra los que todavía lucha.

Cristina Pedroche se declara total y absolutamente enamorada de su hija Laia, y no hay más que ver cómo la mira para comprobar no solo que lo dice es cierto, sino recíproco. Su primer libro, "Gracias al miedo" (Planeta) , nace en forma de homenaje hacia la pequeña, que el próximo mes de julio alcanzará su primer año de vida. Un año en el que su madre se ha visto obligada a luchar contra los demonios que aparecieron poco después de nacer ella . La presentadora aborda entre las 221 páginas de su ópera prima los peores momentos de su posparto, repleto de temores e inseguridades normales en muchas madres pero que se intensifican si eres una de las mujeres con más seguidores en Instagram de España.

" Tengo los mismos miedos que otras madres, pero se juntan con los de una madre famosa . Me da miedo salir a la calle y que alguien quiera venir a tocar a la niña o a hacerle una foto", manifiesta en la presentación de su libro . Aprensiones que la llevaron a buscar refugio en su casa y aislarse lo máximo posible. Fue entonces cuando, animada por su terapeuta, comenzó a escribir un diario a modo de terapia, y de aquellos escritos nace "Gracias al miedo", al que considera su segundo hijo.

"En ningún momento me imaginé publicándolo, pero cuando recibí la propuesta me animé a reescribir esos diarios para darles forma, aunque puse como condición que podía decidir en todo momento si finalmente lo publicaba o no. La cosa es que al terminar cada capítulo pensaba: '¿Cómo no voy a publicar esto?' Creo que puedo ayudar a mucha gente, aunque no es un libro de autoayuda , simplemente cuento las cosas que a mí me funcionan y me han ido bien y que pueden ayudar a otra gente", explica la vallecana más famosa.

Precisamente, ayudar a otras personas ha sido su principal motivación a la hora de publicar su relato más íntimo. Pedroche se abre en canal y comparte con el lector sus mayores inseguridades, una muestra de vulnerabilidad que sabe que sus detractores pueden usar en su contra .

" Sé que me van a hacer daño porque ahora mismo no tengo la capacidad ni las herramientas para que no me duelan las críticas o el odio , pero esto no va solo de mí. Si puedo ayudar, aunque sea a diez personas, mi bienestar lo dejo un poco de lado, porque sé que a largo plazo también me ayudará a mí. Si hay alguien que lo lee, le resuena algo y le funciona, para mí ya ha sido un éxito", recalca.

Odio desmedido

Lo cierto es que Pedroche es una de las personas que más odio ha recibido a través de las redes sociales. Críticas que se salen de lo constructivo y rozan lo vejatorio, que aunque otrora combatiera con sus propias herramientas, se hicieron demasiado dañinas tras el nacimiento de su hija. De hecho, la presentadora data el comienzo de su bache anímico incluso antes de dar a luz, cuando una revista se adelantó a ella al dar la noticia de su embarazo. " Ese fue un primer momento traumático. No había pasado el tiempo que dicen de seguridad, yo todavía estaba sangrando y había gente de mi entorno que todavía no lo sabía ", lamenta ante este periódico.

La situación no mejoró tras el nacimiento y las críticas incluso sobrepasaron el mundo cibernético. " Recuerdo estar en la habitación del hospital y escuchar a los del al lado criticarme a mí, a Dabiz y a mi hija . En ese momento me vine abajo y no quería salir de la habitación, me fui directamente a casa y no quería salir", recuerda. Lo siguiente fueron días en los que la felicidad que sentía se entremezclaba con miedos, inseguridades y lágrimas que no paraban de brotar de sus ojos.

" Veo mujeres, madres, que no lloran y yo estoy todo el rato llorando . No entiendo por qué lloro sin motivo aparente, y no me gusta no entender las cosas", dice una mujer que reconoce que le cuesta no tenerlo todo controlado.

Dabiz, su compañero de vida

Fue en uno de esos momentos cuando Dabiz Muñoz, su marido , le recomendó que buscara "ayuda externa", un cajón que Pedroche nunca antes había considerado abrir. "Yo me cuidaba y meditaba mucho y podía ir saliendo yo sola de los problemas que pudiera tener, pero nunca me había enfrentado a algo tan grave, es que me sentí desbordada", cuenta la escritora novel, que se puso en manos de una profesional de confianza: " Le dije a Dabiz que quería hablar con su psicóloga porque ya me conoce , ya conoce nuestra vida. Normalmente los terapeutas no cogen a dos personas de la misma pareja, pero ella me atendió porque entendía que en ese momento tan vulnerable no quisiera tener que contar todo, de cero, a un desconocido".

El trabajo de la psicóloga ha sido clave para Pedroche, así como el apoyo de todos sus seres queridos, especialmente de su marido, a quien solo dedica buenas palabras : " Dabiz es un compañero increíble en todos los aspectos. Cuando le conocí sabía que era mi persona, mi compañero de viaje para siempre . La maternidad es el viaje más arrollador, menos mal que él me da la mano. Él no podía hacer mucho con mis miedos porque me ponía a llorar y me preguntaba: 'Cariño, ¿qué te pasa?', y yo le decía que no lo sabía. Bastante paciencia tiene. Estoy muy agradecida, y cada día más enamorada de Dabiz. Ahora estoy más convencida de que es la persona de mi vida".

Los miedos de Pedroche

Uno de los mayores miedos al que se ha enfrentado la presentadora llegó poco después de enterarse de que estaba embarazada: " Pensé que en algún momento iba a salir y me entró miedo al parto. Pensaba en cómo lo iba a hacer, si iba a ser capaz o cómo iba a saber que estaba de parto . Pero leí, me informé y me di cuenta de que las mujeres estamos diseñadas para parir, ¡claro que sé parir y claro que mi hija sabe nacer! Si de primeras tuvieramos más información, podríamos enfrentarnos mejor a esos miedos. Fíjate, ahora repetiría el parto una vez al mes porque fue como un baile entre mi hija y yo . Nunca antes me había sentido tan poderosa. Podría escribir una trilogía sobre mi parto".

Sobre el concepto de poder, Pedroche se ha propuesto eliminar de su vocabulario la expresión "empoderar a la mujer" porque considera que "las mujeres no tenemos que empoderarnos. Se empoderan los grupos que no tienen poder, y las mujeres ya lo tenemos, pero tenemos que situarlo. Si las mujeres nos uniéramos, se acabaría el mundo". Y es a su propio género a quien manda una sincera petición: " Solo pido que no nos juzguemos las unas a las otras, que nos apoyemos y nos sostengamos . Si una mujer o una madre está haciendo algo, por algo será. No la cuestionemos".
