I saw her last night in San Antonio, TX, it was my daughter first concert, and she did not disappoint. She is amazing live! Well worth the money spent. From the settings to the chorography her team did a fantastic job. The concert kept us on our feet the entire time. I will defiantly go see her again when she returns.

Truly amazing! Her performance was full of heaps of energy and soul. A beautiful mixture of singing, dancing and a quick preview of her of her acrobatic skills! One of the best musicians to see in concert. Would be darn near impossible to not sway and jump when she's on stage. I've waited so long to see her and she did not disappoint. Really hope to see SZA in London more!!!

Amazing show! Sza sounded amazing! She looked like she was having an awesome time while performing and the crowd loved her. The energy in the venue was hella dope! At one point she instructed security to find any cases of water around to pass out to the people on the floor, saying "get the cases from the tour bus." I thought that was super cool of her.

Event Details

Grammy-award-winning music trendsetter and icon SZA will continue her touring trek with four shows at The O2 this June. She’ll be joined by British pop sensation RAYE.

The 2023 tour follows SZA’s hugely successful sophomore album, SOS, which was released in December and earned the superstar the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album in the United States. The album also claimed ten non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart - the most among albums by women in seven years. During the first run of the S.O.S. Tour earlier this year, SZA gave unforgettable performances night after night. The platinum recording artist performed  classics like “Love Galore” and “The Weekend” in addition to newer mega-hits such as “Kill Bill,” and “Shirt.” Fans also got to experience special performances from a number of surprise guests including Phoebe Bridgers, Cardi B, Summer Walker, Lizzo and more.

The S.O.S. Tour marked SZA’s first-ever arena tour and earned the superstar endless praise, with Rolling Stone noting that “SZA lives up to all the anticipation” on opening night. The New York Times called her Madison Square Garden headlining debut “vigorous, confident, theatrical and intimate — the sort of show that manages the rare trick of feeling both vibrantly communicative and also protectively insular,” while Billboard proclaimed that the performance “delivered a message that she’s truly made a next-level step in her career.”

Born in St. Louis and raised in Maplewood, NJ, genre-defying, and GRAMMY Award winning recording artist SZA released her major label debut album Ctrl (TDE/RCA) in 2017. Revered for its raw and honest lyrics, it landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen Music. The now RIAA-certified 3xPlatinum album received five Grammy nominations in 2018 and more than half the songs on Ctrl are currently certified multi-Platinum and Gold. Ctrl remains on the Billboard 200 chart since its release in 2017 and holds the record for the longest run for any Black female artist’s debut album. In 2022 alone it sold over 600,000 units and is the 10th best-selling female album this year in the country and 50th best-selling album in 2022 overall.

To close out the trying year of 2020, SZA gifted fans on Christmas Day with the hopeful track “Good Days.” Grammy-nominated for Best R&B Song, the single quickly became SZA’s greatest gaining solo single release, peaking at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and marking her first time in the chart’s top ten as the main artist. December 2021, SZA scored her second lead artist top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with the official release of “I Hate U,” which debuted at #7. The song also entered at #1 on both Spotify and Apple Music US charts and broke the record for the most streamed R&B song by a female artist on Apple Music in its first week.  Fan favorite “Shirt” has garnered over 60 million streams globally since its release in October.

On December 9, 2022, SZA released her long-awaited sophomore album SOS.  Instantly and universally met with acclaim, SOS debuted and claimed ten non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200, the longest run for an album by a woman in seven years. Standout track “Kill Bill” is RIAA-certified 3x Platinum and earned the #1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart and several Apple Music and Spotify charts globally. Currently RIAA-certified 2x Platinum, SOS includes features by Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers and Ol’ Dirty Bastard; with production by Ctrl hitmaking collaborators ThankGod4Cody and Carter Lang, alongside Jeff Bhasker, Rob Bisel, Benny Blanco, Kenny “Babyface'' Edmonds, Emile Haynie, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Jay Versace, and more.

To this day, SZA continues to set the standard on creativity and songwriting, while shattering records with over 10 billion streams worldwide across all platforms. SZA has won various awards since the release of Ctrl including a 2022 GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Kiss Me More” with Doja Cat, Billboard Music Awards’ Top R&B Female Artist, BET Awards’ Best New Artist, BET Soul Train Awards’ Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and Best New Artist, MTV Video Music Awards’ Best Visual Effects for the “All The Stars'' with Kendrick Lamar, and NAACP Image Awards’ Outstanding New Artist. In 2019, she won NAACP Image Awards’ Outstanding Duo or Group for “All The Stars” with Kendrick Lamar and Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation for the Black Panther Soundtrack. SZA also received Billboard’s 2019 Women in Music Rule Breaker award. More recently, SZA was crowned the 2023 Woman of the Year at the Billboard’s Women in Music Awards and won iHeart Radio Music Awards for R&B Artist of the Year and R&B Song of the Year for “I Hate U.”

As if British R&B fans didn’t have enough to be excited about with Beyoncé gracing our shores in 2023. Now, we’re being honoured with the arrival of another member of the R&B royal family, SZA, who’s extended her knock-out SOS tour to the UK.

After selling out 17 cities in North America, SZA, or Solána Imani Rowe, will be taking her tracks on the road this summer for 10 European shows. Starting in June, the singer has booked four performances in the UK which includes four nights at the O2 Arena.

The 33-year-old will be performing some of the new hits from her album SOS, including Kill Bill and Shirt, as well as diving back into her back catalogue of songs with the likes of The Weekend and Love Galore.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, she’ll also be joined by the young British songwriter RAYE, who we’re big fans of at RadioTimes.com , and who’s heading out on her own tour this winter. Plus, SZA has the incredible habit of surprising her fans with the arrival of a big name, in the past she’s seen the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Cardi B, Summer Walker and Lizzo join her mid-performance – so keep your eyes peeled!

As only her second album, the success of SOS is a testament to how talented a writer and performer SZA is. In 2013, the singer was signed to the record label Top Dawg Entertainment, and after just one year she was co-writing the song Feeling Myself with Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé. In 2016, she was featured on Rihanna's song Consideration and in 2018 she was nominated for an Oscar after collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on the Black Panther soundtrack.

Her own debut album Ctrl became the second longest-charting R&B album by a woman in history and even earned her a spot on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. So yeah, she’s a pretty awesome woman.

Now, she’s taking her latest album on tour, which by the way claimed 10 non-consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart – so you’d be mad to miss her. Here’s how you can grab a ticket.

Take That is one of the acts affected by Co-op Live's delayed opening

Take That will make a triumphant return to Manchester this week on their This Life world tour, this time at Co-op Live.

The legendary pop group had originally sold out a whopping SEVEN shows at the huge new arena.

But five of those Take That shows had to be moved to the AO Arena instead, after Co-op Live was struck down by a few high-profile delays.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will wrap up their massive seven-night residency on what is essentially home turf for them this week.

They’ll be back performing hits from their whopping nine studio albums on 11 and 12 June.

We already know that Take That will be putting on a show-stopping performance, having reviewed their relocated shows already.

Here’s everything else you need to know.

Who is supporting Take That at Co-op Live?

Olly Murs

In an effort to create the most chart-friendly, crowd-pleasing, middle-of-the-road pop night of all time, Take That have recruited Olly Murs as their support act.

The former X Factor alumni headlined arenas across the UK in 2023 with his Marry Me tour, and now he’s back to warm up the crowds for Take That.

You can expect to hear some of the 39-year-old’s biggest hits, including Please Don’t Let Me Go, Heart Skips a Beat, and Dear Darlin.

Take That stage times at Co-op Live

Neither the venue nor the band have actually confirmed stage times for the show yet, and these are always subject to change anyway.

The doors to the venue will open at 6.20pm.

It’s likely that Olly Murs will then perform around 7.30pm, with Take That on stage around 8.30pm.

Once stage times for Take That are announced, we’ll be sure to update this article.

Can you still get tickets?

Shockingly, there’s still some availability on tickets for Take That at Co-op Live.

There are quite a few seats left at the £92.95 mark, even more for £109.20, and tickets for £139.50 too.

You can still get Platinum tickets too, and VIP packages are available.

Check Ticketmaster for the latest.

Expected setlist for Take That

Take That have already performed multiple dates on this tour, so we’ve got a good idea of what their setlist in Manchester will look like.

This is what they played when they were at the AO Arena across town.

Aitch comes out with Anne-Marie at Parklife 2024. Credit: The Manc Group

Aitch has made a ‘surprise’ appearance on the biggest stage at Parklife festival tonight.

And we’ve put surprise in quotation marks because when does Aitch not make a surprise appearance at music events these days?

The Moston-born rapper popped up on The Valley stage with Anne-Marie in the evening.

The pair have a huge hit together with PYSCHO, so rumours were already rife that he may pop up at some point.

Aitch is a huge hit with Parklife-goers, having headlined last year’s festival.

Crowds who were packed into The Valley for Anne-Marie weren’t left disappointed and the young star guest was greeted with huge screams.

Dressed in a short tracksuit and beanie, Aitch and Anne-Marie delivered a blistering performance of PSYCHO as the second day of Parklife wrapped up.

This really is proper home turf for him, playing in the park that’s just a short distance away from where he grew up.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by THE MANC (@the.manc)

HIs surprise Parklife appearance comes less than a week after Aitch sprung up on stage at the Co-op Live arena as a guest of Nicki Minaj .

He’s also performed  surprise sets with Coldplay  at the Etihad Stadium,  N-Dubz  at the AO Arena, and D-Block at Parklife festival.

That’s not to mention him popping up as a surprise headliner at Wireless several times, plus appearing in  Iceland  and Subway.

He’s such a brilliant local star that it’s pretty fun seeing him playing so many massive stages.

Keep up the good work Aitch.

When is Glastonbury, who’s on the lineup and can you still get tickets?

Coldplay, dua lipa and sza are headlining the pyramid stage at worthy farm this year, while shania twain will take on the coveted legends slot, article bookmarked.

Glastonbury, the world’s most famous music festival, returns this month and will see thousands of fans flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis and her team are preparing to welcome revellers to the site and play host to some of the biggest artists across pop, rock, indie, R&B, rap, punk and soul.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big weekend.

When is Glastonbury 2024?

The gates to Glastonbury Festival 2024 will open at around 8am Wednesday 26 June, with the event running until Sunday 30 June. The majority of the live music performances take place between 29-30 June, with many of them also shown on TV.

A word of warning: there is no entertainment or facilities in the Glastonbury car parks, and guests are expected to remain in their cars until the festival gates open. Car parks will be open from 9pm on Tuesday 25 June, allowing festival-goers to avoid the worst of the traffic and arrive through the night.

Who’s playing Glastonbury this year?

Dua Lipa is headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2024

After months of speculation and rumours that several bookings had fallen through, this year’s festival will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA , while country-pop superstar Shania Twain will take on the Legends Slot.

It was rumoured that Madonna was a strong contender to headline, as Eavis has previously expressed her desire to have the pop icon play the Pyramid Stage. However, The Independent understands that negotiations collapsed due to various requirements from the “Hung Up” star’s team, including the estimated cost of putting on a show that would match her 2024 Celebration tour.

Other rumoured artists in the running were Stevie Nicks, Cher and Stevie Wonder.

Other artists on the lineup include Avril Lavigne, Cyndi Lauper, Little Simz, Seventeen, Idles, The Last Dinner Party, Camila Cabello, Burna Boy, London Grammar, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monae, Fat White Family, Sugababes, Fatboy Slim, Michael Kiwanuka, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Jessie Ware and Paloma Faith.

Are there any Glastonbury 2024 tickets left and how much do they cost?

A reveller sings along as Lewis Capaldi performs on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2023

The Glastonbury resale took place in April and, due to typically high demand, sold out in just 22 minutes. The cost of getting into the 2024 festival was £360 per person including the booking fee, up from £340 last year.

Eavis justified the hike last year in a statement that said: “We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the ticket but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, while still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of Covid.”

Are there any other ways to get into Glastonbury festival?

Besides the general resale, another great way to get into Glastonbury is by volunteering. Registration to volunteer for charities WaterAid and Oxfam has closed, but spaces do occasionally become available if people drop out.

Greenpeace also offers free entry to the festival and three meals a day to volunteers. In return, you are expected to work a minimum of five eight-hour shifts during the festival between 25 June and 1 July. However, applications for 2024 are now also closed.

Glastonbury festival 2024: Who are the rumoured secret acts?

Glastonbury  organisers have announced the full 2024 line-up for the annual extravaganza later this month.

The 2024 headliners have already been announced  for the world’s largest greenfield music and performing arts  festival  – and centrepiece of the UK festival scene every summer.

This year’s event takes place between Wednesday June 26 and Sunday June 30 at  Worthy Farm  in Pilton, Somerset.

Some of the newly announced acts include Squeeze, who will get the festival off to a flying start at noon on Friday June 28 on the  Pyramid stage .

Other new names are Femi Kuti, Seasick Steve, Jamie Webster, the Staves, the Skatalites, Jalen Ngonda, the  Vaccines ,  Johnny Flynn , Soft Play, Rachel Chinouriri and the Zutons.

On Friday Due Lipas is the headline act on the Pyramid Stage, with performances earlier in the evening from PJ Harvey and LCD Soundsystem.

On Saturday Coldplay are the headline act while on Sunday SZA will close the show.

Disclosure, The Streets, Shania Twain and Bombay Bicycle Club will also be performing over the course of the weekend.

But, every year, Worthy Farm pulls performances out of the bag with secret acts that had not previously been released – and 2024 will not be any different.

There are still acts to be announced on the official line up. One of these is on Wednesday June 26 on the Greenpeace Stage at 12pm and is one of the first sets of the festival. The others are:

  • Friday June 28: Wishing Well 8.45pm (also the Transgressive Takeover at 11pm at the same location is still TBA)
  • Friday June 28: Firmly Rooted, 1am
  • Saturday June 29: BBC Introducing Stage, 4.30pm
  • Saturday June 29: Woodies Stage, 6pm
  • Saturday June 29: Levels, midnight
  • Sunday June 30: BBC Introducing Stage, 7.30pm
  • Sunday June 30: Wishing Well, 9pm

So who could we expect to be a secret acts. We look at all the rumours below.

According to NME , William Hill bookmakers have suspended betting on the band "after seeing some telling bets". Glastonbury kicks off a week before the release of their new album, Happenings. Coincidence?

The Killers

The band famous for Mr Brightside are next on the list as favourites to fill one of those TBA slots. Brandon Flowers and his crew are touring their new greatest hits collection, Rebel Diamonds, in the UK this June – they play Glasgow's Ovo Hydro on Wednesday June 26 and their next show is at the O2 in London on Thursday July 4, but they have nothing in the diary for Glastonbury weekend.

Kings of Leon

Sex on Fire favourites Kings of Leon have made the rumour list based on their diary. The band are playing on Sunday June 30 over Glastonbury weekend in their British Summer Time show in Hyde Park, so in theory they could squeeze in a Worthy Farm appearance over the long weekend.

This is one of the more unlikely rumours but they have still made the list. The band released their Saviors album at the beginning of the year, which meant they were tipped to be a secret act at Glastonbury; however, they are slated to play at the Isle of Wight Festival later this month which has been dubbed as a "festival exclusive".

Liam Gallagher

The former Oasis frontman has been performing in the capital this week and will continues his UK dates in June at which he'll be playing the whole of Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, to mark the record's 30th anniversary.

This led to fans believing he was destined to perform at Worthy Farm but the man himself has denied that he's playing the festival on social media site X, when asked by a fan.

Vampire Weekend

William Hill are currently offering 8/1 odds  on Ezra Koenig and bandmates to appear at Glastonbury.

The idea seems unlikely given they are midway through a US tour this summer in support of their album Only God Was Above Us. But their last gig before the Worthy weekend is in Bonner, Montana on June 23 with their next one, at Red Rocks in Colorado on July 19, leaving enough time for them to jet to and from the UK to perform.

This rumour is not that far fetched given where the former bandmates will be over the weekend. Jamie xx is headlining Woodies on Friday night while Romy is playing a DJ set on Friday at the Levels area. Could a reunion be on the cards?

Weezer are performing in the UK with the Smashing Pumpkins across June. Their final show will be at Cardiff Castle on June 14 before they jet off to North America in September.

‘Wetter than average’ weather predicted for Glastonbury Festival

author image

Tents crowded in a flooded and muddy field with a tented stage in the background.

You’d better get your wellies on for Glastonbury as the wet start to the summer is expected to continue into July.

Rain almost spelt disaster for Mighty Hoopla last weekend as wet weather turned Brixton’s Brockwell Park into a ‘mud bath’.

But the London festival was saved by organisers sprinkling the ground with woodchips to soak up the water.

It looks like ticket holders for this year’s Glastonbury Festival will have to brave the rain when they descend on Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset this month.

More than 200,000 people are expected to attend the music festival from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30.

Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA will be headlining the event, where acts like Femi Kuti, Jamie Webster and Rachel Chinouriri are also playing .

Previous years have seen festivalgoers slipping and sliding in the mud as the footfall churns up fields.

The forecast isn’t all bad though, as sunny weather is expected to be mixed with showers or ‘longer spells of rain’.

A woman raises her hands in the air as she sings along to music while sitting on shoulders amid a sea of festivalgoers and flags.

We may also see higher-than-average temperatures despite the downpour.

That must be taken with a pinch of salt though, as the Met Office ’s long-range predictions are known to change as weather systems develop.

For the period from Wednesday, June 19 to Tuesday, July 2, the Met Office said: ‘Signals are weak, as is common for this time of year, regarding prevailing weather patterns during the last couple of weeks of June and into the start of July.

‘As is typical, all areas can be expected to see some spells of drier, sunnier weather but there will also be showers or longer spells of rain at times.

‘The balance between drier and wetter spells is unclear, if anything for most regions, wetter than average is slightly more likely than drier than average for the period as a whole.

‘Temperatures around or a little above average is most likely.

‘Some warmer spells are possible but there are no meaningful signs regarding if and when they may occur.’
