FEATURED CRUISES

Sunset Cruises

Through the month of May, we’ll be offering a Sunset Cruise 7 nights a week! Prices start at $30 per person.

These cruises are a nice 1-hour tour of the north end of the Assawoman bay. We depart from our Kiosk at 118th Street about 30 minutes before sunset (times change throughout the month, so check the schedule).

Private Charters

The perfect way to choose your own adventure is to book the OC Bay Hopper for a private charter! 

If you are visiting Ocean City in May, this is your best way to get out on the bay.

We can pickup at most waterfront locations throughout the coastal bays. We supply the captain, boat, gas, and even a cooler for your drinks and snacks.

Assateague Island

While we cannot guarantee you’ll see wild ponies — our captains have had great success getting wonderful photos of the bands on the north end of Assateague.

This tour is about 2.5 hours long and launches from our 118th Street location in the fall. We take a scenic ride down the bay and then slow down to see the natural beauty and wildlife that calls Assateague home.

These trips operate on Weekday mornings around 10AM. Pricing starts at $35 per person.

We’ll be on the water starting May 1st 2024 — but our staffing at the locations below will be limited until Memorial Day. Sometimes, staff may be called away to assist with captains, boats and other early season issues. Please be patient if you are trying to meet a staff person onsite!

We have been going to OCNJ for our entire lives and decided to try something different this year. We were a little hesitant wondering if it would be worth the cost, but we booked the private "Little Tiki" tour for two hours at sunset. It was just our family and our fantastic Captain. He took us to his favorite spots but asked if there was anything we wanted to see and he made sure we were positioned in time for the gorgeous sunset views. We were allowed to bring our own food & drinks on the boat. It was such a beautiful, relaxing evening and we have plenty of family photos to remember the trip! So glad we did this, well worth it!

Morgan checked us in and she was super friendly and personable! My daughter and her 2 friends had a blast! It was a great experience from start to finish! Will definitely be back next summer!

Sail the Boat that Sailed the World!

Try something completely different and come sailing on our 50’ catamaran, Alyosha! We offer several trips each day, usually at 1pm, 4pm and sometimes a “Sunset Cruise” in the evening. Occasionally we depart as early as 10am! Alyosha can take up to 12 people and has a men’s and women’s restroom for your use throughout the trip.

All of our sailing adventures can be catered- we have partnered with OC’s best events company, Taste Events, to provide that option. (Catered trips are offered only with a minimum of a 6 person booking). Additionally, feel free to bring beverages of your choice aboard. There are plenty of options to keep things cold. Choose from one of the following sailing experiences:

Ocean Sailing!

See another side of Ocean City from the Atlantic Ocean. This 3 hour cruise will allow you to experience the pure joy of sailing fast on a 50’ catamaran! The incredible views, marine life on display, and fun captain and crew, will make this unforgettable.

Hands On Sailing

Interested in something more “hands on?” Assist the Captain and Crew of Alyosha and learn some of the basics of blue water sailing. Offered only at specific times during the week.

Sunset Cruise

Enjoy an evening on the ocean and watch the sun set on Ocean City from the water. These trips are typically shorter in duration (approx. 90 minutes) but still provide the thrill of sailing in a romantic setting.

Private Charters

Interested in a more intimate experience for just close friends and family? Alyosha is available for private charters at times when she is not scheduled to run trips. (You need to book the whole boat!)

Cruise on Alyosha, a 50ft sailing Catamaran, out into the Atlantic for a beautiful view of the Sunset. If you are worried about your comfort during our longer “Ocean Sailing” and “Hands On” trips, then this shorter trip out into the Atlantic might be something to consider. Generally, the sunset cruise will depart about 45 minutes before sunset and will return at dusk. (about 75-80 minutes) Watch the sun set on Ocean City from the Atlantic Ocean as you glide along the coastline under sail. Lounge on the trampoline or enjoy any of the other excellent seating options that this 50′ boat has available. This is a “must do” experience in Ocean City!

Offered only during a full moon on 6 selective nights throughout the summer! This is a chance to sail the Atlantic under moon light as the sailors have been doing for centuries! You will not believe how different of an experience this can be. Trips last 2 hours later in the evening.

Join us for a hands on sailing adventure that will include some very basic lessons on the basics of sailing. Captain Steve Butz has over 35 years of sailing experience and recently completed a circumnavigation on Alyosha. He has logged over 40,000 nautical miles on the boat. Expect to participate in raising, lowering and adjusting the sails as Alyosha gracefully glides under wind power! No question is off limits as Steve is happy to pursue whatever topics interest sailors looking to boost their knowledge or stoke the interest of newbys to the sport. This trip- which is our longest experience at 3 1/2 hours- is for those wanting more than just a ride in the Atlantic Ocean. You will leave with a deeper appreciation of the sport of sailing and the physics behind it.

Throughout the summer there are occasionally events that can best seen from the water, including the Ocean City Air Show, 4th of July fireworks, and select music concerts. There is also a chance to accompany the Captain as Alyosha transits between Baltimore and Ocean City. 

Book Alyosha for your next event or group outing! Private charters for up to 12 people are available on request. Private charters are generally reserved by contacting us directly and may not be joined by others.

The Sea Rocket staff were awesome! They made sure every time there was a dolphin sighting, they slowed down and waited and let us take pictures and let us know they were keeping their eyes out as well for them all along the ocean. They were friendly staff and even asked if we wanted group photos! Definitely would recommend this ride to anyone!

This was my wife's first parasailing, and Captain Howard and Chad reassured her of their experience, which calmed her, resulting in a great adventure for the entire family. We had a blast, and it was all thanks to these two guys. It was totally worth the cost and is something we will cherish.

We booked this tour for our family of 5, we had a 5 year old with us first time parasailing. It was a very fun and safe experience for us. Had a wonderful time parasailing with Searocket, Tony was a perfect guide.

My mom, myself and my 4.5 yo took the dolphin tour and weren't disappointed! The ride was fun, good music, fun staff and we saw dolphins. The mate "skinny legs" was nice enough to take a WONDERFUL family photo on board at no additional charge. Definitely recommend the sea rocket and will be back in future visits.

We decided to do the Searocket out into the ocean. It was an awesome ride and experience for the whole family. The entire crew and staff were very friendly and outgoing. It was so much fun and a great time. Absolutely loved it!

We decided to take a vacation to Ocean City. We found the Sea Rocket and went to check it out. While waiting for our turn Audra told us all about Parasailing, we thought about doing this all night. Well we got brave enough to go back and try it! Audra and the guys were very awesome and we are so happy we tried it! We would definitely come and do it again!!! Thank you all for the great time.

We had an excellent ride on a beautiful day. Very fun and friendly staff that made our ride memorable. The mate even took our picture for us. Even those we did not see the dolphins all the other sights were excellent. We would go again soon.

This was our 2nd visit to OCMD and the Sea Rocket boat tour. Both times was a great experience and we got to see dolphins both times. Crew was friendly and funny and they played a good variety of music. My 5 year old daughter loves the boat ride and it will be a return visit for us on future vacations. Boat travels from the bay up to the Carousel Hotel and back.

We decided to go on the last ride of the day and we had a great time! Kevin, Matt and Tony were awesome and made sure everyone was having fun. We will definitely be back!

Was on a family vacation and decided to purchase tickets for the sea rocket after watching it speed up and down the ocean close to our hotel. Had a great time and plan on going back in September for parasailing.

The weather wasn't cooperative and I picked a cooler day to ride, but the Captain and Mate were great. Informative and funny! They took extra care to get my kids life jackets! Thanks guys! Definitely will go back for some Parasailing!

Welcome aboard for a two and a half hour sail on the Barnegat Bay along the Jersey Shore with Seaside Sailing. You can choose from several sailboat charter options including two and a half hour cruises in the afternoon and evening for a sunset sail. Captain Mike, a US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain, will be at the helm to direct you along the protected inland waters. With over 50 years of experience sailing and 30 years chartering sailboat cruises, Captain Mike will show you the beautiful sights as well as the ins and outs of sailing. You can even take a turn at the wheel if you like.

Two and a Half Hour Cruises

Welcome aboard our sailboat for a cruise along on the Barnegat Bay and on Toms River in Ocean County New Jersey. Relax and enjoy sailing on calm inland waters.
