One look at the underground rap duo known as Suicideboys (styled $UICIDEBOY$) and you won’t’ be surprised that they’re from New Orleans.

Just check out their whole vibe, from horror movie imagery to deep occult symbolism, and you can easily imagine this act emerging from the dark corners of the Big Easy’s old school voodoo traditions.

Looking at Suicideboys’ full catalog of hundreds of releases over a seven-year period, not to mention their side projects, guest appearances, alter egos, more collaborations and singles, is all it takes to understand the band’s incredible output.

When you ask fans what all the buzz is about, you’ll hear a lot of answers. The dark imagery and stark nature of their lyrics hits home with lots of people struggling with demons. The make-it-happen roots of Suicideboys’ story makes their art feel authentic and uncut compared to flashier pop acts.

Plus, there’s no denying that this pair are serious sonic explorers, and hip hop is far from the only influence on their relentlessly bass-heavy explorations of the depth of the soul. From heavy beats to ethereal atmospherics, these cousins weave soundscapes which captivate the imagination and inspire fans everywhere.

Starting out as family – Scrim (styled $crim) and Ruby da Cherry are cousins – the Suicideboys were always tight on a personal level. Their mutual love for music helped carry them through the development of their careers.

Having to work different jobs as they leveled up their DJing skills, both explored other genres on the way to their hip hop fame. Punk rock played a huge role in Ruby da Cherry’s musical evolution, while Scrim got into some serious singer/songwriter work even as he continued to practice DJing.

Once the pair got going together, they went big. Suicideboys started recording and self-releasing tracks back in 2014 with the EP Kill Yourself Part I: The $uicide $aga, debuting on SoundCloud and Bandcamp. This project blew up bigger than anybody could imagine, with at least nineteen sequel EP’s in the $uicide $aga series to date. But their big underground breakthrough was with 2015’s $outh $ide $uicide,” a collaboration with rapper Pouya.

That EP put Suicideboys on the map, paving the way for more. Their next big collab, Radical $uicide, with EDM superstar producer Getter, climbed into the top 20 on the Billboard rap charts. In 2018, after already releasing dozens of albums worth of tracks, Suicideboys released their first official full-length album I Want to Die in New Orleans. With this one, they broke into the Billboard 200, peaking at number nine while still working under their own record label imprint, G*59.

In 2019, the cousins got serious on the road, embarking on their first nationwide tour. The Grey Day Tour included guests like Trash Talk and Pouya and only increased their following.

After taking a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, $uicideboy$ broke through in 2021 with a second full length album. Long Term Effects of Suffering was another big hit with their fans, peaking at number seven on the Billboard 200 charts and number two on the Top Rap Albums charts, and number one on the Indie charts. Also in 2021, the duo hit its first certified platinum single with “...And to Those I Love, Thanks for Sticking Around.” A second Grey Day Tour followed in 2021 with fellow artists from their G*59 label.

Now fully back up and running, $uicideboy$ resumed its relentless output. In 2022, they released their third full length record, Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation which debuted at the top of the Billboard Rap charts. This album had more hints of positivity than the band’s previous work, possibly signaling another evolution in the duo’s career.

In 2022, $uicideboy$ was one of the featured headliners at the Quebec City Summer Festival alongside heavyweights like Alanis Morissette, Maroon 5, and Luke Combs. High profile stints like this prove they’ve come a long way from the underground scene.

Live reviews

When $uicide Boy$ came to the Historic El Rey Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico, no one was ready for it unless they of course went to their last show at the Launchpad in Albuquerque, New Mexico "South Side Suicide". Show was so good people left and right were literally passing out and when it was over people were so satisfied and so worn out, they didn't ask for an encore. This was also a rare opportunity because whenever any good rap/hip hop artist come out here (excluding Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, ASAP Rocky, any other trash artist) they usually go to the Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, New Mexico) or Launchpad (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and The Historic El Rey Theater is the largest indoor theater that ABQ has to offer and the owner is strict to only allow EDM type music to perform. The Historic El Rey Theater should allow more good rap/hip hop artist to perform there. $uicide Boy$ will always be good. Only thing to complain about them? The fact that we had to wait an hour and a half PAST opening time for them to start the show not including the extra thirty minutes for opener to start.

The venue was easy to find with great facilities. The show itself I was very excited for and expecting held up. The speakers and lights created an awesome environment.

Some more detailed information could have been provided on webpages prior to concert rather than finding out on the day about who the pre acts would be. The information I read said that “DJ Meth” would start his performance at 8:30 and he didn’t start until 8:45 which was disappointing.

I haven't been to a lot of concerts (3 including $uicideboy$) and they hands down are my favorite. I saw them on tour with Ski Mask The Slump God and $not. Their love for their fans is indescribable and the whole vibe they had at the show was amazing. They played new songs, old songs, and even niche ones. I can't wait to see them live again. I 100% recommend any fan to see them live no matter how many songs you know.

$uicideboy$ always has the greatest shows, and this one was no exception. They are high energy and overall amazing. The vocals from the two are unmatched, and they are the BEST artists that I have ever heard. It was through one of their concerts that I became a die-hard fan, and continuing to go to their concerts is one of the greatest experiences one could ask for.

Best concert I've been to so far! Definitely going to see them again when they come back to Canada! The mosh pit was so insane that a bunch of seats got broken, the crowd was great always picked you up immediately if you fell down, and of course seeing Scrim, Ruby, and CrystalMeth was fucking amazing!!!

Concert was awesome. People were already trying to mosh to the funk music playing in the background. Only thing is it took forever for the actual show to start... guess that’s what happens when the fan base is full of 16 year old hypebeasts. That said, it was worth it.

mimixkiki’s profile image

One of the best if not the best Concert I've ever been to. Basically 2 hours of constant moshpits and the best songs in their discography all in a Sold Out Show. Ruby and Scrim looked like they had a lot of fun and interacted with the crowd in a lot of ways

Suicideboys Tickets from $88

After circling the globe this spring, Suicideboys are greeting the summer season with a bang! The Louisiana-born duo is set to travel home and deliver over 40 phenomenal ragers in the U.S.! The coveted Grey Day Tour is slated to bring their upcoming studio effort, New World Depression, centerstage, and it’s guaranteed to be packed with fresh new sounds and iconic staples. Witness top-tier hip-hop and metal fusion as the Suicideboys showcase their incredibly unique music to eager fans. Their tour last year basically sold tens of thousands of tickets the moment it went live. This 2024, the trailblazing duo is coming out with a highly anticipated new album in June, followed by their massive outing kicking off a few weeks later. So imagine the hype and the excitement that die-hard Suicideboys fans are in – expect tickets to move pretty fast.

There is no question that the Suicideboys are dominating in their own massive bubble. The underground hip-hop phenoms have taken their unique sound, uploaded it on the Internet, and the rest was history. Scrim and Ruby da Cherry pretty much self-produced and self-released their work since day one. With nothing but the streaming platform Soundcloud to promote their work, they developed a vast following. Their career-defining effort, $outh $ide $uicide became a viral sensation when it was released in 2015. The effort also paved the way for this new dynamic sound where the duo mixes traditional hip-hop beats with trap metal and punk rock. The resulting work is an addictive new subgenre, which some experts define as horrorcore.

Soon enough, the duo has already found incredible commercial success on the charts with their studio releases. Their debut effort, I Want to Die in New Orleans, entered the top 10 of the mainstream charts, in addition to performing amazingly on international charts. Meanwhile, the follow-up efforts, 2021’s Long Terms Effects of Suffering and 2022’s Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation, hit gold after selling half a million copies each in the U.S. – all these they’ve achieved as independent artists. Having found their own label, G*59 Records, in 2013, the boys maintained their underground status while achieving impressive feats. Suicideboys paved the way for many new horrorcore acts to come out during the late 2010s and early 2020s. Today, they’re anticipated to deliver their fifth headlining tour, which is also expected to fully sell out like their previous outings.

Lucky for you, tickets to their show at the Moda Center are still up for grabs! The show in Portland is anticipated to bring a thrilling showdown as Suicideboys bring along a slew of special guests: Pouya, Shakewell, HAARPER, and Ekkstacy. Witness the adrenaline-rushing set of the Suicideboys as they cover their vast catalog on this coveted spectacle. Moreover, their special guests are also thrilled to serve top-tier entertainment to hype up the crowd before the main show hits the stage.

The Suicideboys are guaranteed to light up the Moda Center with countless unprecedented hits! So hurry and secure your passes now before you miss out!

How $uicideboy$ Became the Multi-Million Dollar Brand You Never Heard Of

$uicideboy$

This story is part of  Billboard ’s third annual package spotlighting the trends defining the independent music business.

New Orleans-bred punk-rap duo $uicideboy$ has never charted on the Billboard Hot 100 or any airplay tally, but it has turned its SoundCloud-era success into an underground empire — and collected 5.3 billion streams along the way, according to MRC Data.

Known early on for its shock-rap style and depression-laced lyrics, the duo’s origin story (which dates back to 2014) involved a long-mythologized suicide pact: If the music didn’t work out, there would be nothing left to live for. Thankfully, it has more than worked out. Today, cousins $crim and Ruby da Cherry are entrepreneurs, launching their own label collective, G*59 Records, in 2017 with distribution from Virgin. This year, $uicideboy$ signed a “strong eight-figure deal” with The Orchard; meanwhile, the duo is on a headlining U.S. tour that has sold almost 500,000 tickets, including shows at Pier 17 in New York and back-to-back dates at the Shrine Outdoors in Los Angeles, following the release of their latest album,  Long Term Effects of Suffering .

“When we first started, we wanted to do the exact opposite of what everybody in rap was doing,” says Ruby da Cherry. “We didn’t have nice cars or gold chains, so we just flexed that we were losers, and mixed in some shock-rap and stuff about our mental health issues. We’re just trying to catch people’s attention.”

$uicideboy$ was fully DIY for a while. What made you want to start working with your managers, Kyle Leunissen and Dana Biondi?

$crim:  Ruby and I were handling everything for a long time. He’d do the merch, graphics and videos, I’d do the audio engineering and production. We had our roles, but by late 2016, we really needed help. Kyle has been a close friend since high school. I remember he called me one day and said, “You’re letting 70 grand fall through the cracks every year.” That caught our attention. For my cousin and I, $70,000 might as well have been a million at the time.

From there, Kyle and our other manager, Dana, came over and we did a trial run, but it turned into a full-time thing. These guys have been instrumental in helping us get to where we’re at, and by handling a lot of the business side, they’ve helped us focus on doing our creative stuff.

You formed your own label, Grey*59, better known as G*59 Records, the following year. Why was that something you wanted to do?

Ruby da Cherry:  $crim and I are from New Orleans. We grew up with [labels like] Cash Money and No Limit, and those guys really inspired us, because we loved seeing a gang of people that acted as one collective, supporting each other and all. I come from a punk background. I’ve always said, “F–k labels, I’d rather start my own.”

$crim:  It’s not just business for us. The guys we’ve signed to G*59 are brothers. We aren’t even necessarily looking for hits, we just sign people that we are a fan of. I’m not trying to make a bunch of money off anyone.

$uicideboy$ have a distinct merchandise strategy, with drops about three times a year. Ruby, do you still design everything yourself?

Ruby da Cherry: I used to design everything, and $crim would give his input. Once we got managers, we also decided to get one of our buddies, Adam Arriaga, to take over [our merch]. I don’t have the skills of a designer, so Adam helps me get my ideas out of my head and execute them. Our fans b-tch sometimes about how “Ruby doesn’t do merch anymore,” but what they don’t get is that I’m still approving and working on everything. Adam just has the skills.

How has it felt being back on the road?

Ruby da Cherry:  $crim and I were f–ked up on drugs during almost all our other tours. We never got to experience it in the way we should’ve because one of us would be high. The  Last Grey Day  tour in 2019, I don’t remember at all. It’s nice to have us both in the right states of mind to take it all in. Back then, we didn’t appreciate it the same. I feel so fulfilled during this tour.

When did you both get sober?

$crim:  My sobriety date is February 19, 2019. Long story short, I finally got to a place where I wasn’t able to talk to Ruby or my team. I was in psychosis for like, nine months because I was combining so many downers and uppers. I was literally out of my mind. The guys did the healthy thing and they got to a point where they pulled back from me. You know, it’s hard to give motherf–kers like us consequences. Kyle told me at Thanksgiving in 2018 that he couldn’t watch this anymore, and I still walked away. I said I’d get help, but I basically disappeared on him. Then I ended up isolated from everyone I loved. I got to the point of pain where it was unbearable and that’s when I started detoxing at a place in California. To maintain it, I’ve done a lot of therapy and I’m in a couple 12 Step programs that really help out.

Ruby da Cherry:  I went to rehab the night of October 26, 2020. It happened after we had a team meeting at $crim’s house and I kept going in the bathroom and snorting s–t. Eventually I took so much I was f–king falling asleep on them in the meeting. Then they had an intervention. I was kicking, fighting, cursing them out. I said I’d never talk to them again. Then I did go and it was one of the best experiences in my life. It made me realize I had my head so far up my own ass. I thought I knew everything. I’ve been trying to rebel my whole life because I hated myself so much. To clarify, I’m not fully sober, but I don’t do any opiates or hard shit anymore. I still smoke weed.

How has being sober affected your latest album  Long Term Effects of Suffering ?

Ruby da Cherry:  Some of those songs I was still f–ked up, but a lot of them were us both being clean. We wanted the album to start off dark and then lift you up with positivity. “The Phone Number You Have Dialed Is Not in Service,” the last track on the album, ends it all on a positive tip; We say, “If life moves on, keep marching on/Even if the finish line is far or you have to push the car, keep marching on.” I’ve learned so much. I don’t want to have learned how to be happy and feel good about my self worth and feel productive and  not  share that with other people. I’m not going to sit here in this new space and then tell fans I still want to kill myself. $crim and I feel responsible for the messages we put out there.

$crim:  For me, when I got clean, I had this overwhelming fear, like, “Will I be able to keep making music if I’m sober?” Obviously that’s bulls–t, and it took a lot of therapy to realize that.

Inside Track: NBA's Harden Loses on Social Boxing Flop; $uicideboy$'s Big $$$ Deal

What kind of message do you hope to put out with your music?

Ruby da Cherry:  I think our music has a lot of substance to it. I remember this one day we were recording a new song, and we actually had both relapsed with heroin that day. We wrote the song “Low Key.” We looked at each other and said, “Let’s write something real today.” I think that’s when $uicideboy$ really started to speak to what our fans were going through, especially with drugs, anxiety and depression. We all know [those things] exist and people act like they want to help, but they don’t ever do anything. That’s why I hate mental health awareness sometimes, you can’t  just  make everyone aware. We hope we can do more than that with our music.

Has a fan ever shared a story about how your music affected them that’s stuck with you?

Ruby da Cherry:  I remember we played a show in Dallas in 2015, it was the first time we played a show to a crowd of people who were freaking out over the music. Later that night we were selling our merch and I’ll never forget this kid coming up to the table. He told us that the new mixtape we dropped helped him through these tough times, like losing his mom to cancer a few months before. Our jaws f–king dropped. We didn’t know what to say. That’s when we realized, “$uicideboy$ is an ironic name — we are saving people’s lives.”

$crim:  There’s been plenty of times where I’m like, “I don’t even know if I want to do this s–t anymore,” and when I hear something like that from fans it gives me a bigger purpose.

You’ve managed to thrive as independent artists. What’s it like to achieve such a tough dream?

Ruby da Cherry:  Honestly, I don’t think we’ve ever processed it.

$crim:  I just love making music. I work so much, which is not a bad thing. That’s just what I love. I’m always wanting to do more, more, more. But my team helps me slow down and take it all in. When you’re used to growing up without having much, you’re always searching for the next thing. We were doing a soundcheck the other day and Ruby just stopped and said, “Dude, let’s just take this in and stop for a second. Holy f–k.”

Made In New Orleans: How $uicideboy$ built an underground hip-hop empire

suicideboys tour new orleans

$uicideboy$ know how to create a cult fanbase. Thanks to the accessibility of social media and SoundCloud, the duo emerged in 2014 with a sound that brought them huge accolades. Their three full-length records have all debuted in the Billboard Top 10, while their curated Grey Day tours and collaborations have exposed the likes of Denzel Curry, Turnstile, City Morgue, Knocked Loose, and more to a wider fanbase.

Suicide boys are the highest streaming independent artists with 1.89b streams so far this year… $$$$ — SCHEME (@DJSCHEME_) October 18, 2022

Sitting at a staggering 10.5 million monthly Spotify listeners as of March 31st, 2023, they’re one of the most successful independent acts in genre of music – not just hip-hop. Much like BONES and other prominent rappers of the scene, the independent spirit is alive in whatever $uicideboy$ set out to accomplish. And for them, creating music is therapy for the things and events they’ve experienced over the years. It’s an interesting mix. And the lyrical topics aren’t exactly easy listening, either. Considering the duo’s name, you can probably (and accurately) surmise that they touch on mental health issues, drugs (neither do hard drugs anymore, though Ruby still smokes weed), and suicidal ideations with a variety of tempos and aggression levels. Much like those that came before (specifically Three Six Mafia, who they’re often compared to), they’ve also been accused of devil worship and Satanism. Yet, the music hits hard – especially with those who have any sort of mental health issues , addiction problems, and people generally undergoing trials in their lives.

What’s really interesting about $uicideboy$ is how well their dark sound connects with a wide variety of people. It’s this collective mentality , mined from the eras of Cash Money + No Limit Records, that inspired the duo. And that sense of collaboration and community extends to many facets of the duo, especially their Grey Day concert tours (the 2022 edition featured Knocked Loose, Code Orange, JPEGMAFIA, and many more). There’s also the fact that they’ve released collaborative work with the likes of Travis Barker, Korn guitarist Munky, and Chris Travis, making for a wide variety of themes present. Their record label , G*59 Records, which releases music by $uicideboy$ and a variety of other artists they believe in.

It can be hard to pigeonhole Scrim + Ruby, too. They have to be one of the more unique entities as far as falling just under the eye of the mainstream, despite being some of the most successful operating independent of any label. Part of their success is also due to the fact that they’re prolific as far as releasing music, with at least a single (or more) coming out seemingly at every turn, with their music’s shorter format (most songs are around the two-minute mark, albeit with plenty of exceptions) also keeping fans with a constant stream of new content at every turn.

There’s little doubt that $uicideboy$ are a successful lesson in growing your brand and providing fans with what they want, while also reeling in new ones by engaging different demographics. After all, that sense of community is what fuels many, many successful musicians (and artists in general), and it’s no different here. However, by not shying away from these different subjects and events and instead confronting them head-on, there’s no doubt they’ll continue to grow. And they don’t need a major label to do it, either.

$uicideboy$ announce grey day tour 2024.

Today, New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ have announced the schedule for their renowned annual Grey Day Tour in 2024. Rap cousins Ruby da Cherry and $crim will embark on a 41-date arena and amphitheater tour across North America, kicking off in Nashville, TN, at Bridgestone Arena on August 7th. The highly-successful and largest Grey Day Tour to date will feature stops in Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena, in Atlanta at State Farm Arena, in Chicago at United Center Arena, and will conclude in Lincoln, NE at Pinnacle Bank Arena on October 11th. The opening acts for the tour include Denzel Curry, Pouya, HAARPER, Shakewell, and Ekkstacy. Below is the complete list of tour dates with supporting acts in each city.

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting tomorrow, April 4th, at 10 AM local time. General ticket sales will begin on Friday, April 5th, at 10 AM local time. Link to purchase both pre-sale and general on-sale is available HERE .

This year for Grey Day Tour 2024, $uicideboy$ have partnered with PLUS1 for something very near and dear to the group: mental health. $1 per ticket will go towards helping those that need it the most. Ruby da Cherry and $crim are very excited about this partnership, and this is only the beginning of their plans to give back to those that have given them so much.

Since its inception in 2019, the Grey Day Tour has emerged as a standout and one of the "absolute coolest" summer tours, uniting rap and hardcore genres, while also serving as a launching pad for the first national tours for many critically acclaimed artists as well as showcasing artists from their independent label G59 Records. According to Billboard , the Grey Day Tour has propelled the $uicideboy$ into the Top 20 rankings of highest-grossing hip-hop touring acts of all time.

Coinciding with the tour announcement, the group has revealed the lead track “Us Vs Them” from their eagerly awaited next full-length album, titled New World Depression , set to release on June 14. On "Us Vs Them," the $uicideboy$ delve into facing tough challenges and feeling disconnected from society. Ruby da Cherry and $crim deliver verses about coping with personal struggles and maintaining one's identity in a challenging world. The single has already been featured on official Spotify playlists, including New Music Friday US  and landing the cover Tirade and Alternative Hip-Hop. A link to stream the single is HERE .

Throughout New World Depression , the duo navigates themes of fame, self-destruction, and the relentless search for identity amidst chaos. Across the 13-track release, their raw, unfiltered lyrics serve as a gritty narrative of personal turmoil, substance abuse, and the struggle for authenticity in a world that often feels cold and indifferent. This album is an unapologetic exploration of the darker sides of human experience, resonating with anyone who has ever felt out of place or battled with their own shadows. The album will commemorate the 10th anniversary since the formation of $uicideboy$. Album pre-save is HERE .

Since forming a decade ago in 2014, the $uicideboy$ have prolifically shared their distinctive fusion of rap, punk, and trap with audiences worldwide. Starting out as pioneers of the SoundCloud Rap movement, they have gone on to deliver a tremendous amount of music and have achieved over 20 billion all-time streams, placing them in the Top 100 streaming artists of all time. In 2023, they were one of Spotify’s Top Groups of 2023 and one of SoundCloud’s Top 5 Most Streamed Artists .

ABOUT $UICIDEBOY$:

$uicideboy$ dig light out of the deepest corners of darkness, addiction, hopelessness, and pain. The New Orleans-bred duo of cousins—Scott Arcenaux, Jr. a.k.a. $crim and Aristos Petrou a.k.a. Ruby da Cherry—translate a fight against demons (seen and unseen) into a clever, caustic, and corrosively catchy apocalyptic vision of hip-hop pierced with punk intensity and laced with Southern flows. The world first met $uicideboy$ in 2014. After releasing dozens of projects and playing hundreds of sold-out shows, they’ve generated billions of streams and earned multiple RIAA certifications, including the platinum “…And To Those I Love, Thanks For Sticking Around” and gold “Carrollton,” “2nd Hand,” “Runnin’ Thru The 7th With My Woadies,” “Paris,” and “Kill Yourself (Part III).” Beyond their critical-acclaim from Billboard, XXL, Alternative Press, Pigeons and Planes, Hypebeast, Revolver, and more, they built their label G*59 Records into a bastion of independent talent and home to Night Lovell, Shakewell, Germ, Ramirez, and others. In 2022, the punk-rap duo landed in the Top 30 most-streamed artists across all genres and have climbed to the 92nd position of most-streamed artists of all-time with over 15 billion career streams. Their third official full-length LP Sing Me A Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation marked their 3rd consecutive Top 10 album debut on the Billboard Top 200. The album led to sold-out arena and amphitheater tours in the US and Europe followed by a top-billed performance spot at Coachella music festival in 2023.

Suicideboys Have a New Album and Tour on the Way

Suicideboys are entering album release mode. The New Orleans group, comprised of Slick Sloth and Ruby da Cherry, announced a new project and tour this week. They also let loose a new single on Wednesday (Aug. 1) titled "Carrollton," complete with an intro from Juicy J .

The track, titled after the New Orleans neighborhood of the same name, features the duo trading typically bleak images of depression and horror intertwined with helpless indulgences in wealth. The self-produced beat is all distorted bass and ominous bells.

"Blunt lit, lungs itch, bitch, I like the sting/Smoking potent thinking I'm the chosen one, bitch, I'm a king/I can hear my dead homies sing/Now my eyes always hurtin', wiping tears with diamond rings," Ruby raps.

The song will be featured on Suicideboys' forthcoming album  I Want To Die in New Orleans , set to release on Sept. 7. The group explained the title in an Instagram caption on Monday (July 30).

"We have decided that none of this fame or money will ever make us happy," they wrote in part. "For a second there we thought it would. Therefore, we are changing the album title to... I Want To Die In New Orleans ."

Slick and Ruby kick off an international tour in support of the album in Estonia on Aug. 16 and begin a 10-show domestic run in Miami Beach, Fla. on Sept. 5. The project will be the group's first extended release since their  Kill Yourself XVI–XX  series of EPs dropped in Sept. 2017. They also appeared on Juicy J's January mixtape  ShutDaFukUp .

Since 2014 the pair have become popular acts in the underground rap-scene, releasing Eps and mix tapes that became prevalent and relatable, their tracks blunt, with no messin’ talking about issues, such as substance abuse, their stark and harsh lyrics bringing light to an often avoided and ‘softened’ issue. The track, ‘Antarctica’, from their EP titled, ‘Dark Side of the Clouds’, is a prime, powerful example of this and a fan favourite. They hold no punches when they rap of the troubles and hits. Yet, it was in 2018 that the Suicideboys hit the mainstream with their first debut studio album, ‘I Want To Die In New Orleans’, with it becoming their first top 10 album on the US Billboard 200. In 2019 they released their 6-track EP, ‘Live Fast, Die Whenever’, which was a collaboration with famous drummer Travis Baker and features guitarist James Shaffer. But, this year is about hitting the road and giving fans live tasters of their newer material from their latest album, ‘Sing Me a Lullaby My Sweet Temptation’, and they are fired up and ready to connect with fans again. Make sure you are a part of it!
