Codzilla (seasonal)

Codzilla is the only high-speed boat ride in Boston Harbor. In reality, the "high-speed" portion comes only after the vessel has left the harbor, as it is illegal for boats to go too fast while inside the no-wake zones near the city.

Codzilla is a 70-foot boat that seats about one hundred people. The first 25-30 minutes of the ride is presented like a tour, with the guides describing landmarks that the boat passes by on the way out of the harbor. There is also a brief skit about pirates and the story of Codzilla, a giant cod. After leaving the harbor, the remaining 10-15 minutes of the ride is spent out in open seas, with the boat performing different maneuvers at a high rate of speed, which is the main attraction of the ride. The excursion takes about 45 minutes in total.

In order to fully enjoy the ride, keep in mind some of these aspects. First and foremost, there is a huge probability that you will get wet. With 360 degree maneuvers, at high speed, it's a near certainty that you will get wet, so be prepared for this. Still, the ocean is ever-changing and you could get anything from a light spray to a full soaking. The "wettest" areas are usually the seats near the edges of the deck, and in the rear of the boat. There are waterproof bags available onboard, as well as inexpensive ponchos for sale.

A £63 million luxury superyacht owned by American billionaire businessman John W Henry has docked in Jersey .

The 66-metre Elysian vessel, previously named Ester III, sails under the Cayman Islands flag and is the largest private vessel ever to have berthed in the island.

The Lürssen superyacht has an outdoor swimming pool, helicopter pad and glass lift with room for up to 12 guests and 17 crew.

It has a top speed of 16.5 knots and set sail from Florida around a month ago on a European tour, leaving Douarnenez Bay in France on Thursday afternoon before arriving at Albert Pier in St Helier at around 7am on Friday (24 May).

A crew member told ITV News that the Elysian is stopping overnight in Jersey to refuel before continuing its journey to Germany.

Guests from the UK are believed to be on board, although Mr Henry is not.

The 74-year-old has a net worth of more than £4 billion according to Forbes and has built a sports empire, owning both Liverpool FC and the Boston Red Sox.

A yacht engineer told ITV News about the financial benefits that a vessel of this size visiting Jersey will have.

Ben Blutch said: "It's a Lürssen one so it's a good brand and it's parading money all around. Imagine the price for Elysian refuelling in Jersey."

Marie-Claire Sutton from the St Helier Yacht Club added: "It's actually quite amazing and seeing such a beautiful yacht from my office window is just incredible."
