Grammy Award-winning artist Sam Smith is set to kick off his Asia tour in Bangkok on October 3, 2023. He will take "The Gloria Tour" to the stage at the Impact Arena, marking his return to Thailand after his sold-out show in 2018.

Following the Bangkok concert, Smith will perform in other Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Osaka. The tour is expected to draw massive crowds and will showcase Smith's soaring vocals and powerful ballads.

Sam Smith announces Asia tour this October

With shows in Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Japan and South Korea confirmed

Sam Smith has announced a tour of Asia kicking off this October.

The news was announced today (May 8) via concert promoter AEG Presents Asia on social media and Sam Smith’s own Instagram account. Cities confirmed for the tour are Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka, Yokohama, two shows in Seoul, Manila and Singapore.

The tour is set to kick off on October 3 at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok, Thailand then October 6 at the AsiaWorld-Expo Arena in Hong Kong, before Sam Smith performs at the Taipei Arena on October 9.

Smith will next play two shows in Japan, across Osaka on October 11 and Yokohama on October 13. They will then take over the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea for two back-to-back shows on October 17 and 18.

They will end off the tour with a show at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on October 21 and the Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 24 in Singapore.

Sam Smith’s latest studio album ‘Gloria’ arrived in late January this year. The record scored a four-star review from NME ‘s Nick Levine, who wrote: “Smith’s soulful voice is stunning throughout, and it’s surely a sign of confidence that several songs feature such prominent and intricate backing vocals. When you’re comfortable in yourself, you don’t always have to push to the front. Sam Smith has never sounded better because they’ve never been more themselves.”

Sam Smith last toured Asia in 2018, where they performed across Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan and Thailand.

In just three weeks, British singer and songwriter Sam Smith will return to take Bangkok by storm with a one-night-only concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Oct 3 at 8.30pm.

Presented by Live Nation Tero, the "Sam Smith Gloria The Tour In Bangkok" will be the first show on the Asian leg of Smith's third concert tour to promote his fourth album, Gloria , which was released early this year and debuted at No.1 in the UK, Australia and Ireland.

A follow-up to his third album, Love Goes (2020), this is a pop album with themes of sex, lies, passion, self-expression and imperfection. It comprises four singles -- Love Me More ; Unholy , a collaboration with German singer Kim Petras which reached No.1 in Australia, Canada, the UK and the US and also topped the Billboard Global 200; Gimme ; and I'm Not Here To Make Friends .

Since his hugely successful debut album In The Lonely Hour (2014), the celebrated soul singer has amassed a constellation of glittering achievements. They include five Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, and an American Music Award, as well as a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.

Smith is currently touring Mexico. He will then start his Asian concerts with one gig in the Kingdom before heading to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Singapore.

Sam Smith Returning to Bangkok With ‘GLORIA the tour’ Concert

Grammy Award-winning artist Sam Smith is set to kick off the South East Asian leg of their “GLORIA the Tour” in Bangkok later on this year, delighting legions of fans in Thailand yet again with a high energy live show to support their latest album that came out in January.

The singer’s fourth album “Gloria,” featuring guests such as Ed Sheeran and Calvin Harris, is rooted in a newfound sense of liberation. Gloria is the name of an energy (one which is possibly feminine, or possibly of nature) Smith says has been freed inside themself, since coming out as non-binary, and so, no longer identifying exclusively as a man or a woman.

Multi-platinum-selling Smith, who uses they/them pronouns, will make a triumphant return to the Thai capital on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 when their highly-anticipated tour comes to IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani, after performing at the same venue back in 2018.

Sam Smith is celebrated for their unique and emotive music style that combines soul, pop and R&B: Smith’s distinctive, angelic voice and emotionally-charged lyrics revolve around love, heartbreak and identity, capturing the hearts of fans all over the world. Their stirring high tenor range has seen them become one of pop music’s most in-demand balladeers.

Their rise to stardom began in 2012, when they featured on “Latch” by DJ duo Disclosure, which reached No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart. 2013 was the year of Naughty Boy’s “La La La” release, a huge hit which got to number 1 on the music charts of 26 countries in total.

It was Smith’s debut studio album, “In the Lonely Hour,” which granted them their place in music’s realm of superstardom. Released in 2014, it proved to be a massive success, with the moving “Stay With Me” topping charts worldwide, selling more than 10 million copies.

“I’m Not the Only One” was also on Sam’s first album, gaining more than 1.5 billion Spotify streams. The British star’s musical journey continued with “Too Good at Goodbyes” which appeared on their second album “The Thrill of It All,” as well as their superb collaboration with Kim Petras “Unholy,” a standout smash which features on current hit album, “Gloria.”

Sam Smith are coming to Asia. 

The pop singer-songwriter has just announced the Asia leg of their GLORIA  tour. Kicking off this October, the  'Love Me More'  act will be performing in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka, Yokohama, Seoul, Manila, and Singapore.

The  GLORIA tour officially kicked off this April with shows around Europe. It will continue in North America this July before heading to Asia in October. Fans of great voices are in for a treat when British pop-soul singer Sam Smith coming to Thailand bringing his “The Thrill Of It All Tour” to Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Sunday 28 October 2018. Tickets start at Bt2,000 and go on sale on 30 June 2018 at all ThaiTicketMajor outlets and via www.thaiticketmajor.com. Citi credit card members have access to pre-sale tickets beginning at 10:00am on 27 June at 10.00am until 10:00pm on 28 June 2018. Sam Smith is one of the UK’s leading contemporary artists and has enjoyed massive success all across the world.
