Often referred to as the 'Atlantis of Dubai,' The Palm has been drawing people from all over the world to its experience its unique features.
With its luxurious and unique attractions, almost anything is possible in Dubai's sprawling, beautiful desert city . Whether it is witnessing the most giant picture frame in the world, climbing the world's highest tower, or hitting the biggest mall worldwide, visitors to Dubai enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience that they have never witnessed before in their whole lives. The city welcomes more than 16 million tourists who flock to Dubai every year to see the most magical and developed attractions that have ever existed.

What To Know Before Visiting Atlantis In Dubai
Atlantis The Palm is just 20 minutes away by car from Downtown Dubai and features two world-class mega-resorts. People visiting Atlantis can book an underwater hotel suite, have fun at Dubai's largest Waterpark, get access to a handful of fun activities, and savor the most delicious food in the country. When traveling to Dubai, it is recommended to fly during the early summer, between April and May, or for late summer, between September and October.
This is because flight fares will be much more affordable than other days, and hotels will be offering discounts on their rates, reaching 50%. It would not be wise to travel during Ramadan because people will not be allowed to dine outdoors during fasting hours. People are also recommended to continuously check ongoing promotions on the official Atlantis website. A free Atlantis club membership will get people a 10% discount off rooms and suites. The Entertainer app is also a good source for wellness, food, and attraction deals in Atlantis. One can find several 50% discount offers that help them save big on luxurious experiences.
- Recommended: Getting a free Emirates Skywards membership is highly recommended. People will benefit from discounts reaching 15% in several attractions and restaurants in Atlantis. People also get free Wifi access with the membership.

The Largest Waterpark In Dubai Is A Must Visit
The Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark attracts more than 2.5 million visitors who come to enjoy the more than 100 rides available at the park and the watersports experiences in three towers. Moreover, Dubai's largest Waterpark is known for its record-breaking Leap of Faith located at Neptune Tower and giving people the chance to plunge 60 ft ( 9 stories) vertically down a slide. The latter goes through a frightening shark tank. Additionally, the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark boasts the world's tallest waterslide, Odyssey of Terror, and the Middle East's tallest vertical drop slide, Blackout.
It is recommended to buy a smartphone waterproof case to enjoy taking the best shots and recording adventures under the water and riding the unique slides in the Waterpark. It is also wise to bring their own towels and wear water shoes to avoid sticky surfaces. One more thing to pay attention to is to visit the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark on the days when it opens at 10:00 AM when the park is less crowded, and there are no waiting lines.
- Cost: Atlantis hotel guests can have access to the Waterpark for free. However, visitors will have to pay around $73 per person for entry.
More Marvelous Attractions At Atlantis The Palm
People in Atlantis enjoy personally interacting with marine life at the Sea Lion Point and Dolphin Bay. Visitors will have the chance to play with and get close to sea lions, swim with the dolphins, and learn about those beautiful creatures through watching interactive shows by accredited trainers. Lovers of underwater adventures should visit the largest aquarium in the United Arab Emirates, the Lost Chambers Aquarium .
Here, visitors can perform a handful of activities, including snorkeling, diving, and exploring marine wildlife. People will enjoy getting close to sharks, jellyfish, albino alligators, seahorses, and more than 65,000 marine animals. It is also possible to practice yoga in the aquarium when booking in advance. The aquarium needs a minimum of 1 hour to be adequately explored. Another place at Atlantis The Palm that people enjoy is the funky entertainment hub, Wavehouse. This is where visitors can play more than 50 games, such as the world's largest Pac-Man, a bowling alley, and a realistic surf machine.

The Atlantis on The Palm in Dubai is a five-star hotel and a dazzling and adventurous getaway location featuring a massive waterpark, world-class aquatic attractions, fine dining and global cuisine, and much more. Making the journey and deciding which of the many attractions to choose from can be a daunting task, but with the right preparations you can plan an unforgettable vacation.
Planning Your Travel
- Some travellers book trips during the summer months or off-season in order to get better deals on hotel and flight prices. If you choose to do so, just be aware of the higher temperatures.
- If you choose to visit during the holy month of Ramadan (between May and June in 2018 and 2019), it may be difficult to find food being sold between sunrise and sunset, and it may come off as culturally insensitive if you choose to consume food publicly during this time.
- The weekend in Dubai goes from Friday to Saturday, so keep this in mind while planning your trip and note that some businesses may be closed on these days. [2] X Research source
- It’s a good idea to bring a jacket or cover-up for night-time and air-conditioned indoor spaces like malls and restaurants.
- Dubai is a global, forward-thinking city and is generally tolerant of world cultures, so no need to try to mimic Arabic styles of dress. Wearing casual street-clothes that you would wear in your home country is fine as long as the clothes are relatively modest.
- Be sure to have a confirmed round-trip ticket and a passport valid for six months after arrival when you go through customs in Dubai in order to ensure you’ll be granted a visa.
- Visa requirements differ by country, so check the UAE immigration website to see whether you qualify for a visa on arrival or need to apply ahead of time. Visit https://www.emirates.com/english/before-you-fly/visa-passport-information/uae-visa-information/ .
Booking Your Trip
- If you’re looking to splurge, consider the club suites a signature suites, which include spacious family-sized room options and exciting options like the Poseidon and Neptune Underwater suites.
- All hotel rooms at Atlantic come with complimentary unlimited access to the Aquaventure Waterpark and the Lost Chambers Aquarium.
- If you need special accommodations, call ahead and ask the concierge what options are available.
- There are several more casual and outdoor restaurants that don't need reservations if you prefer to play it by ear.
- Taxis are relatively cheap in Dubai, and it’s easy to navigate the city solely by taxi. App-based ride services like Uber and Careem are also available.
- Dubai is expanding its metro system, but it currently doesn’t have a station at Atlantis. [6] X Research source
- Helicopter tours can be arranged by emailing the concierges at Atlantis.
Enjoying the Attractions
- The Aquaventure water park includes interconnecting waterways where you can float on an innertube and journey throughout the park. The Rapids are a 1.6 km river ride, and The Torrent is a wave generator that produces tides reaching over a meter high. [8] X Research source
- Guests must be at least 12 years old and 4 feet tall (1.2 meters) in order to ride the larger water slides at Atlantis, including the Aquaconda, the world’s largest water-slide. The Splashers Play Area offers water slides, climbing frames, and water cannons that younger children can enjoy. [9] X Research source
- The Dolphin Encounter is an opportunity for guests of all ages to wade in a pool and interact with dolphins, while the Dolphin Adventure takes place in a deep pool and includes a belly-ride with a dolphin. Tickets should be purchased well in advance, and range from 200 USD to 400 USD per guest.
- The aquarium contains 10 themed chambers and is home to over 65,000 marine animals and more than 250 species of fish. [10] X Research source
- The Lost Chambers Aquarium offers several educational tours and guided experiences, including a yoga class. Some of these, including the yoga class, have limited space and need to be booked in advance to guarantee a spot.
- Shiseido is a facial and body treatment designed as a combination of Eastern and Western traditions, techniques, and technologies. [11] X Research source
- You can access downtown Dubai from Atlantis in 30 minutes by car or taxi ride.
- The Dubai Mall located in downtown is the largest shopping mall in the world, and it is the most-visited retail and entertainment building on the planet, welcoming tens of millions of visitors every year. [12] X Research source
