Moxons Tours takes a first for the VDL Futura FHD2 range

Moxons Tours of Worksop has taken delivery of a Futura FHD2, supplied by VDL Bus and Coach UK . It is a 12.9m example that has 53 Vogel LS30 seats with Prestige upholstery, a toilet, a drinks machine and a fridge.

The coach for Moxons Tours represents a first for VDL in that it was used as a seed vehicle to homologate the use of the DAF MX-11 engine at its 450bhp rating coupled to the ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. Previously, VDL offered the EcoLife with the MX-11 only at lower power outputs.

That work necessitated the coach being Dutch registered for some time before delivery. The dealership is now able to take orders for the driveline combination concerned in both two- and three-axle Futura FHD2s.

Feel free to park at our depot for free when going on any of our holidays, excursions and theatre trips.

We are a local family owned coach hire business and we are proud to announce that we have now been in business since 1956, operating a very professional service to the local community. Our fleet consists of coaches ranging in sizes of 16, 29, 45, 49, 53, 55, 57, 58 & 77 seats.

Our private hire services covers work ranging all over the UK and Europe. National School Transport, local schools to local societies such as WI, Nadfas, Probus, U3A, National Trust etc and we offer our coaches for hire for any and every venue or event you require.  We can also arrange tickets and hotels for any occasion.

Alongside the private hire trips we also operate a very comprehensive holiday programme which covers the whole of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. We also offer Cruises.

The excursion side of our business is immense as we operate day excursions throughout the year. We take day visits to popular places such as Llandudno, the Lake District, Yorkshire, Derbyshire.

Our coaches are all well maintained to the highest standards and are very comfortable. Our drivers are very professional and extremely courteous and helpful.  All of the coaches are air-conditioned and have toilets.

To celebrate Juneteenth, Bergen County plans to conduct tours of Gethsemane Cemetery, the historic Black burial ground in Little Ferry that contains the remains of over 500 African Americans.

Located off Summit Place, Gethsemane Cemetery is normally closed to the public and open only by appointment. To mark the holiday, the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs plans to unlock the main gate on June 15, 19, and 21 for tours between noon and 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Social media influencer leaves $3,000 tip at restaurant while filming food tour

BATON ROUGE, La. ( WAFB /Gray News) - A social media food influencer left behind a very generous tip to the owners of a restaurant after giving them a perfect score when it came to their service.

Keith Lee , a TikTok contributor who has more than 16 million followers, has been taking his viewers on a Baton Rouge food tour, and one of his stops included Fork N Spoon , an eatery that serves all-day breakfast and lunch near Louisiana State University’s campus.

In a video posted this week, that has already racked up over a million views, Lee can be seen trying multiple dishes from the locally owned business.

He ate several dishes including maple bacon berry toast, banana berry French toast, a plate of loaded grits and more.

Lee rated the maple bacon berry toast a 7.9/10. The loaded grits were rated a 7/10 and French toast was an 8/10.

“In my opinion, this is a very good brunch for a very good price,” Lee said. He mentioned that he spent around $37 for the meal.

Lee gave the restaurant’s customer service a 10/10 score and informed the young owners that he would be leaving them with a $3,000 tip.

The owners thanked Lee for his generosity and his visit as they are anticipating an influx of customers following his review.

Lee said his fans can let him know what restaurants they recommend he try during his Baton Rouge trip.

Lee has gained popularity and a massive following on social media for his honest food reviews.
