Kenny Loggins 2023 “This Is It” Final Tour Set List

' src=

Kenny Loggins plays his final concert in the Tampa area Saturday night at The Sound at Coachman Park in Clearwater.

Kenny’s been delivering the big hits since the 70s from his Loggins & Messina days through the big soundtrack hits for Caddyshack, Top Gun and Footloose that Kenny he had in the 80s. So which ones will he perform this weekend? Here’s a peek at the set list he’s stuck to for this farewell tour so far.

The 100 level seats closest to the stage have sold out but there are some seats as of this morning (September 15) in the 200 level starting at $59. Pablo Cruise will open the show. (He’s the one who did “Love Will Find A Way” if the name doesn’t ring a bell.)

Keep The Fire

A song Kenny wrote with his wife at the time, Eva Ein (who was in Caddyshack). You might not remember this one. It was a single, but it only peaked at #36 back in 1980.

Heart To Heart

This one did a little better. It got to #15 in 1982. The song is about preserving a friendship once lovers have grown apart. Michael McDonald is featured in this one.

Michael McDonald is featured on vocals in this classic too. It won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Male Performance in 1981. Loggins finished the lyrics after visiting his sick father who was recovering from a few strokes.

It's About Time

This one is from the more modern era of Kenny’s library of music. It’s About Time was his 12th studio album released in 2003. The album featured guests like Richard Marx, Clint Black , and, not surprisingly, Michael McDonald.

What A Fool Believes

Made famous by the Doobie Brothers, Kenny actually co-wrote this one. The Doobies version has the disco vibe. But Kenny’s original version appears on his live 1980 album. Kenny’s version is sung from a female’s perspective so you’ll hear some gender changes in the lyrics.

Whenever I Call You Friend

Kenny’s duet with Stevie Nicks was his first solo hit – as Stevie is credited on the album, but not the single. It was co-written by Melissa Manchester. She recorded her own version for her album in 1979.

Return to Pooh Corner

From Kenny’s children’s album in 1994, the title is a reference to The House At Pooh Corner. Guest appearances on the album included Crosby & Nash, Amy Grant and Gary Chapman . Kenny followed the album up years later with “More Songs from Pooh Corner.”

Danny's Song

The Loggins and Messina classic was a gift for Kenny’s brother who had just become a father. Anne Murray ‘s cover reached the top 10 as well.

If You Believe

This one’s from Kenny’s 1991 album “Leap of Faith.”

Celebrate Me Home

A song from Kenny’s first solo album.  It wasn’t released officially as a single, but became one of Kenny’s better known songs when radio stations played it at Christmas.  Many singers have covered the song including LeAnn Rimes, Josh Groban and Jennifer Nettles.

Conviction of the Heart

Vice President Al Gore called this one “the unofficial anthem of the environmental movement.”

I'm Alright

The unforgettable classic from Caddyshack. Listen closely to hear background vocals by another Q105 favorite, Eddie Money.

Danger Zone

Another big soundtrack hit for Kenny Loggins. This one helped the Top Gun soundtrack become the best selling soundtrack of 1986. But Toto was actually the original choice to perform the song!

Thought Footloose would be the song to close the show? Me too! But this one makes total sense given that this is Kenny Loggins’ farewell tour. The song became massively popular in the mid 80s when it was featured on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Kenny Loggins announces This Is It farewell tour: 'It's been an amazing journey'

The 75-year-old singer-songwriter will head into the danger zone one last time this year.

Emlyn Travis is a news writer at  Entertainment Weekly  with over five years of experience covering the latest in entertainment. A proud Kingston University alum, Emlyn has written about music, fandom, film, television, and awards for multiple outlets including MTV News,  Teen Vogue , Bustle, BuzzFeed,  Paper Magazine , Dazed, and NME. She joined EW in August 2022.

Kenny Loggins will ride into the danger zone one last time.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is clear for takeoff for his 2023 This is It farewell tour.

After kicking off at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, Fla., the 11-stop concert series will rock across the country to Fort Worth, Tex.; Williamsburg, Va.; and Inglewood, Calif., over the next seven months.

"It's been an amazing journey since starting with Jimmy Messina in 1971, and I'm fortunate to have had such a long touring career," Loggins said in a statement on his website . "I don't see this as the end of my professional career, but certainly a halt to the grind of major touring."

But don't fret! Loggins added that the reason he has decided to put touring behind him is simple: "After spending a lifetime on the road, I want to have more time at home," he said.

For his celebratory send-off, the 75-year-old musician will return to the stage to perform a variety of hits from his 45-plus-year career. "I'll be playing songs that I feel sum up the emotional story of my music," Loggins explained. "This will include 90 percent of the hits, and 10 or so percent of the deeper cuts."

We can only hope one of those hits will be the fabled "5.0 version" of his 1986 single "Danger Zone," which Loggins previously told EW he rerecorded for last year's blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick but that it was not featured in the final cut of the movie.

"I did rerecord 'Danger Zone' to make a 5.0 version that would wrap around the audience," he said at the time. "But Tom Cruise really wanted to conjure up the original version, the original feeling. So in the long run, it turned out to be the old track coming back."

Loggins recalled meeting Cruise while visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live . During his encounter with the Top Gun star, he asked if the film's unofficial anthem would be making a return in its follow-up.

"I said, 'So, tell me, is "Danger Zone" in or out?' And he said, 'It wouldn't be Top Gun without "Danger Zone,"'" Loggins said. "When we first talked about it, they were thinking it might go in a scene in the middle of the movie or somewhere near the end where he comes to the rescue. Instead, Tom opted to use it at the beginning of the movie so that it really conjures up the energy and excitement of the original Top Gun ."

I believe Kenny opened for Fleetwood Mac on a tour in the late 70s. His was definitely the better show, at least the night I saw them in the fall of 1977.

Kenny, Loved seeing you a few years ago at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga… I hope to see you in October at Saratoga Mountain Winery… Earlier on I saw you at “Day on the Green” in Oakland when teaming with Messina… ALWAYS A FAN!!!

Kenny loggins is going on a 2023 farewell tour. how much are tickets.

Kenny Loggins sings while playing guitar onstage.

Kenny Loggins is leaving the “Danger Zone” and heading toward the highway to retirement.

The iconic rocker will play just 18 concerts on his upcoming ‘This Is It’ farewell tour and then that’s really it.

“I just had my 75th birthday, and I feel like it’s time,” Loggins told the Herald-Tribune .

From March 10 through Oct. 29, the “I’m Alright” singer will hit venues all over North America including stops in Jacksonville, FL on March 12, Williamsburg, VA on June 17 and his final gig ever (for now) in Highland, CA on Oct. 29.

And for such a high-profile goodbye from the music biz — the man penned the themes to “Caddyshack” AND “Top Gun” — tickets are going for surprisingly reasonable prices .

At the time of publication, we found some tickets going for as low as $46 before fees on Vivid Seats.

So, if you want to get “Footloose” with the man who brought the world “Danny’s Song” and “Your Mama Don’t Dance” one last time, here’s everything you need to know about the ‘This Is It’ farewell tour .

Kenny Loggins 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all dates, venues and links to the cheapest tickets available for all 18 concerts can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.
