We just had the worst experience in Miami Beach big bus tours. First we got off at the bus for the boat tours we asked them before we got off where we go for the boat tour (we were told to walk all the way down to the island queen in the rain) and then when we got all the way down there we were told we had to (go back to the stop we just came from in the thunderstorm to get another ticket at the big bus kiosk) no one thought to tell us about when we got off the bus in the rain! We arrived at the big box kiosk and no one was in there even though it was a covered kiosk. We stood there in the rain uncovered for quite awhile wondering what to do next. When we tried to go into the kiosk to see if anyone was in there to help us, then finally someone finally came over from where we could finally see all the workers were all chatting off into the distance instead of helping the tourists in the rain who needed help and paid for their tour. The worker would not give me our original ticket back and said it now belonged to her and instead gave us different tickets she said we needed instead (we took a picture with our cell phone in case the paper QR code did not work) and we were very unhappy the way we were being treated as tourists who had paid for their tour. As bad as all this sounds, The worst part was yet to come. On the way back when we finally got on the second big bus after the boat ride, the big bus we were running to catch in the rain did not wait for us and the workers sitting around did not help the bus wait for us either. The second bus we finally got on all the seats on the lower deck were taken but many of us were standing since we noticed there was places to hold on to for those standing. All of us standing were told it was the company policy that we go up on the top deck during this tropical thunderstorm down pour or go back outside in the tropical down pour. Another man asked if it was against the law to stand in the bus and the worker responded it was not against the law but against their policy. How can it be a policy to put tourists on the top deck of a bus in a thunderstorm surrounded by metal? Another tourist explained they would not go back out in the down pour especially since the buses are not on time and they waited 45 minutes in little Havana instead of the time they were told. We all were informed we had to go upstairs in the down pour or get off the bus in the thunderstorm. So many tourists had no choice but to go on the top deck to get back to their hotels or be potentially stranded in the thunderstorm. The storm progressively got worse and the driver never pulled over to make any exceptions to let us go down to the lower covered level. In fact he took us on the freeway with ocean on both sides and we all had to put our heads down like we were preparing to crash and pray we did not get blown off the top into the ocean or electrocuted. When we finally arrived at our hotel the driver refused to pull over at our hotel and instead drove us 2 blocks a way in the thunders storm where our streets were all flooded. In fact we had to plead with him to finally open the door and when we finally were at our original stop, since he said he was planning to let us out even further away. Never again coming back after this terrible experience!

Avoid at all costs! This review is for the day hop on hop off tour. It was a complete waste of time and money. First red flag should have been the "cash only" when purchased through our hotel. Do not purchase this tour based on experiences from other cities. We've had great experiences outside of Miami. However, this was horrible. Every bus, which we were on the first scheduled p/u, were 20-45 minutes late. We followed the app...doesn't help if you see your bus 40 minutes away behind schedule. Unlike other tours, the driver had to take vouchers and produce tickets. Where was the extra staff on board as with other cities? The buses were crowded and hot with no luck sitting on top. There was no in person narrator, strictly dependent on earbud audio. Oh, earbud jacks did not work on the trip to. Trip back, jacks worked but not possible to hear due to wind on top. We purchased tickets for bus and boat. Due to ridiculous wait times, we never made the boat trip. Suggest people utilize uber or lyft because folks basically end up using this as transportation from point a to point b, since there is no narration. Very disappointing and would not recommend.

This has been my worse experience ever with the Big Bus Tours company. We came to visit and do some sightseeing with my family, 2 adults and 1 child (8). When we came to a stop, the driver, Adell, came up to the top deck to shout and kick us out. I have never been treated with such disrespect and aggression as a customer. Her hand gestures and tone to all the customers on the bus was disgusting. So it gets worse.. as everyone stands up and walks down the stairs (after being kicked off by ADELL) my daughter (age 8) is walking down with a tail of adults behind her, she HITS THE GAS AND HITS THE BRAKES!!!! I was so upset. If my husband didn't grab her, it could of be a disaster. Long story short, avoid this lady and company. See picture attached. Run from her. The aggressive behavior is inhumane.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Please avoid! We took this tour in 90+ degree weather in Miami. Naturally we assumed the lower interior portion of the bus would be air conditioned. Nope! The A/C was broken and they only have 2 small windows that barely circulate any air. It must've been at least 10 degrees hotter inside with the lack of air. Everyone was sweating and near heat exhaustion and a baby looked like he was about to pass out. The driver apologized and told us that the company is aware of the broke A/C but they are unwilling to fix it. Obviously it wasn't his fault, he was helpful enough to suggest that we all reach out to the Big Bus Tours for a refund, that maybe that would escalate the issue of fixing the A/C in his bus. We reached out to the company and they denied the fact that their bus has a broken A/C, claiming that all buses have A/C and it might act as an airflow due to the bus being an open top. If they had experienced the conditions that all their passengers did today, they would know the difference between airflow and a broken A/C. I hope this review acts as a deterrent for customers using a company that is unwilling to fix buses for their own employees. I'm shocked that they would allow this bus to stay in circulation.

Avoid this bus with broken A/C

I had a horrible experience with the Big Bus Tour and I would not recommend!! I was visiting for vacation and decided to go on the tour The bus NEVER showed up to one of the pick-up spots, which was advertised on their website. My friend and I had to Uber to another pick up spot ( Bayside Market Place stop) to get on the tour bus. Once we arrived to the pick up spot ( Bayside Market), we encountered an employee who was so rude to us and not helpful at all. He accused my friend of not having a ticket and he was very dismissive of us ( we bought are tickets online and showed him on our smart phone). In fact, when we asked to speak to a manager, he lied and told us he was the manager and gave us a fake name! ( I've included a picture) Our live tour guide, Ethan was great, but we could barely hear him through the earphones and the bus sound system. The tour guide does not stand in front and use a microphone so hearing him was difficult. Due to the disorganization of the company, the customer service and poor tour logistics, I would not recommend! Save your money!!!!! I only gave one star because I couldn't give zero.

I usually like to do Bus Tours when I go to another city, I'm on vacation; it's a rapid manner to learn about the area or just get to the opposite side of town. However, I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of this tour in Miami. Pro's I purchased this deal off of Groupon for $25 each. It's lower than the amount being sold if you purchase at the window. They have three separate routes for Miami, which is different than what I've seen in other cities l. (This is a positive and a negative. However, these are the three routes). *Red-- City *Blue-- South Beach Yellow-- Museums and Attractions The staff was friendly and informative. You get to listen to merengue in between announcements. Con's The buses wasn't in the best condition. It seemed very old and run down. They provide you headphones but only one side worked You could barely hear the announcements from the low quality sound system Because you must begin the tour at a central location, it's borderline impossible to do all three routes in one day. I wasn't able to even get to another route in two days. I got off to visit the Holocaust museum in Miami Beach, and it took about 40 minutes for another bus to arrive in the sweltering Miami heat. Overall, I got to see a few nice sites, but I would say the experience underwhelming and left lots to be desired. I typically use this company but I would suggest a competitor if you're in Miami.

Was stranded at the end of night because the last bus never arrived. We had been doing really well & were enjoying our time on the big bus until it came time to leave. We arrive 45 minutes before the last bus is supposed to arrive and ended up waiting an hour. No bus arrived. 20 or more people were waiting as well. I finally paid for an Uber to come get us. Attached is a photo of all the people waiting for the last bus.

I have nothing good to say about this tour in Miami. They don't stick to the posted schedule and the live tracking on their app is COMPLETELY inaccurate. We showed up early for a bus but ended up waiting almost 1.5h. The drivers are miserable, ours completely skipped one stop with no notice and when they do stop, they DO NOT wait for people. We were running towards the bus and flagging them down because the driver didn't stop for more than 20 seconds. The buses are old and you spend so much time stuck in traffic just listening to music because there isn't enough information in the pre-recorded dialogue. Save your money.

I found that the map they give out made it easy to find my way from bus to bus. It was a great way to see the city I was visiting. I really enjoyed the narration given about things we passed and the complimentary ear buds. The only downfall is the low hanging branches when sitting at the top and the lack of air conditioning when sitting inside
