Multi-platinum-selling artists Amy Grant and Vince Gill have announced their return to Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in 2024 for their 14th annual “Christmas at the Ryman” residency. The 12-concert run at the Ryman is scheduled for Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1, 15, 17-18 and 20-21 and will once again feature matinee performances.

For many years, the “Christmas at the Ryman” shows have been the ultimate holiday tradition, with music fans from across the country and around the world flocking to the historic venue to hear two of Nashville’s most cherished performers. Last year, Grant and Gill celebrated their 100th “Christmas at the Ryman” show during their sold-out residency, making them the first artists to headline 100 shows at the Ryman. In years past, the duo has filled the show with Christmas favorites such as “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “O Holy Night,” “Tennessee Christmas,” and “Winter Wonderland.”

Vince Gill has set an 18-date solo tour for this summer, marking his first solo outing since 2019, the same year he released his Okie album. Gill has been on tour as part of the Eagles since 2017, but will set out on his own solo shows when the group’s spring dates wrap at the end of June.

The tour launches July 7 in Greensboro, N.C., and visits cities including Oklahoma City and Memphis, Tenn., before wrapping at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on Aug. 28.

Opening for Gill is Wendy Moten, a former competitor on NBC’s The Voice . Moten has also toured extensively with Gill for many years, and they were both members of the Nashville collective The Time Jumpers. Moten earned a pop hit with 1994’s “Come In Out of the Rain.” Moten has also toured with Julio Iglesias, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Martina McBride. Gill also produced Moten’s recent album I’ve Got You Covered .

Also joining Gill onstage will be steel guitar player Paul Franklin, drummer Billy Thomas, bassist Jimmy Sloas and keyboardist John Jarvis.

In December, Gill will team up again with wife Amy Grant for their tradition of Nashville holiday shows at the Ryman Auditorium.

Vince Gill To Join The Eagles For 2023 Hotel California Tour

Vince Gill is reprising his role as a member of the iconic rock band, the Eagles. The Country Music Hall of Fame member announced on social media that he would join the Eagles for more dates, as they extend their Hotel California Tour into 2023.

“Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill – extend the band’s Hotel California’ Tour with additional 2023 shows set for Jacksonville, Florida; an encore performance in Tampa, Florida; Columbia, South Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Newark, New Jersey,” the band shares.

Gill joined the Eagles in 2017, to fill a spot left vacant when founding member Glenn Frey passed away. Although Gill is plenty busy with his own career, the 65-year-old knew he couldn’t turn down the invitation when it was extended to him.

“It’s an unbelievable opportunity and a good hang,” Gill told Variety . “Everything about it is something I just can’t even believe it’s happened, and I’m grateful for it every time I get to go up there and continue to be a part of keeping that song catalog going. It’s an amazing accomplishment Don [Henley] and Glenn and Joe [Walsh] and Timothy [B. Schmit] and all those guys made, and all the former guys that played — Randy, Don [Felder] and Bernie [Leadon].

“I would have never believed that that would happen, and sadly it only did because of a tragedy and losing Glenn,” he added. “I’ve got a really healthy perspective of it, and I know I had nothing to do with any of it other than from this day forward. So I can’t get the big head about it.”

Gill had some big shoes to fill when he joined the Eagles, shoes he says fans were — perhaps rightfully — unsure he could fill, at least at first.

“The first gig that I did with them, I could feel the apprehension in the crowd, and it made total sense,” Gill recalled. “‘Take It to the Limit’ was the first song I sang, and I could feel after the first chorus everybody just take a deep breath and go, ‘I think it’s gonna be OK.’ I honestly could feel that from them; it was really palpable and really quite beautiful.”

Will they do a tour in Canada as we simply adore this band and Vince Gill? I would love to go and watch them play in the USA, but am limited in funds, but sure make every effort to watch and play in Canada, even if I have to hitch hike to where they are playing at my age of 69..

Vince Gill and Amy Grant Gear Up for Another Christmas at the Ryman Residency

Most people who celebrate Christmas have their own traditions. Some families have dinners, and some pile in the car to drive around and look at holiday decorations. Vince Gill and Amy Grant headline Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. For more than a decade, the couple has celebrated the Christmas season at the Mother Church and the tradition will continue this year.

Gill and Grant will return to the iconic venue for their 14th annual Christmas at the Ryman residency. The eight-day, 12-show engagement will start in late November and extend through late December.

The couple announced the shows earlier this year to give fans the chance to get tickets early. Complete with original songs, Christmas classics, stories, and more, the show draws music lovers from across the country to the Ryman every year to partake in the tradition.

2023 saw Gill and Grant breaking a Ryman Auditorium record. They performed their 100th Christmas at the Ryman show. This made them the first artists to play 100 shows at the lauded venue. That number grows higher when one figures in how many times the musicians have taken the hallowed stage either solo or with other acts. This year’s event will see them extending the record they set last year.

“Christmas at the Ryman has become one of our favorite holiday traditions,” said Grant about the residency in 2023. “it is always so special to celebrate the season with you all. We can’t wait to create more holiday memories this year.

Many fans hail Amy Grant as the Queen of Christmas. In 2020, she sat down with Southern Living to discuss the season. “From a creative standpoint, when I look back over 40 years of making music, I would have never guessed it was my Christmas music that would have the longest life,” she said. She went on to say that making music is one of her biggest holiday traditions. She also gives her family tickets to the Christmas at the Ryman shows as gifts every year.

By the end of the extended Las Vegas residency, The Eagles will no longer be the “New Kid(s) In Town.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group announced they have tacked on eight (!) additional Friday and Saturday shows to their ‘Eagles — Live In Concert at Sphere’ stint.

Their 16-concert run begins Sept. 20 and now stretches until Dec. 14.

At all gigs, fans can expect an “ultimate connection to the band’s legendary catalog in an immersive experience that only Sphere can provide,” according to a press release.

These concerts likely won’t be the group’s last even though no other dates have been announced for their ongoing ‘Long Goodbye’ farewell tour. When the worldwide trek was announced back in July 2023, the band teased that their herculean run would conclude sometime in 2025.

Further, a second press release suggested “(they) will perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands.”

In the interim, fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Eagles Sphere shows on sites like Vivid Seats ; the official on-sale is Friday, July 12.

When you’ve been living life in the fast lane since 1971 (!), a bit of shuffling when it comes to your group’s lineup is to be expected.

Still, to this day, 76-year-old, founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer), continues to tour with the group.

On the road, he’ll be joined by 76-year-old Joe Walsh (also of the James Gang), 76-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist, played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner 67-year-old Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey’s 31-year-old son Deacon.

Over the course of their illustrious career, the band has racked up six Grammy awards, performed over 1,000 concerts, and sold 150 million-plus albums.

Eagles again expand Sphere residency because of high demand: Where to buy tickets

The Eagles have announced a fall 2024 residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, that includes 16 concerts over eight weekends in September-December. Getty Images

The Eagles announced their residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas earlier this month.

A week later, more concerts were added because of “overwhelming demand.”

Today, Live Nation has reported that another four concerts have been added because that demand continues to be high. Those added are Dec. 6 and 7 and Dec. 13 and 14 bringing the total number of concerts to 16 over eight weekends, Sept. 20 to Dec. 14.

Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale on Friday, July 12, 2024, on Ticketmaster.

Ticket prices start at $175 and include all taxes and fees.

Fans also can find tickets on the secondary market at  Stubhub ,   SeatGeek and  Vivid Seats.

The Venetian Resort, the only resort attached to Sphere, is offering special experience and hotel packages that include a two-night stay, concert tickets, priority entry and keepsakes. Reservations can be made via  Vibee.

The six-time Grammy Award winning Eagles started their “Long Goodbye Farewell Tour” in the fall of 2023.

The band has sold more than 150 million albums, has had six No. 1 albums and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

When announcing the farewell tour, the band said on its blog, they “want to give all of our fans a chance to see us on this final round.”

The band had said it “will perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands. The tour is expected to continue into 2025.”

The Eagles are Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

The founder of The Eagles, Glenn Frey, died Jan. 18, 2016.
