In addition, these gift shops often feature exclusive designs and collections that cannot be found elsewhere. Whether it’s a cup celebrating a milestone anniversary of a hotel or a limited-edition design, you may find a truly unique and collectible cup that will be the envy of your Vegas enthusiast friends.

While the prices at hotel and resort gift shops may be slightly higher compared to other locations, the quality and authenticity of the cups make them well worth the investment. These cups are typically made with durable materials, ensuring that they will last long beyond your Vegas trip.

Notable hotels and resorts such as The Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Venetian, and MGM Grand have their own gift shops that offer a wide selection of souvenir drinking cups. Make sure to browse through their collections and choose a cup that captures the essence of your Vegas experience.

Before leaving the hotel or resort, don’t forget to check if they offer any package deals or discounts for purchasing multiple cups or other Vegas-themed merchandise. These promotions can help you save some money while still enjoying the thrill of bringing home a piece of Las Vegas.

Now that we’ve explored the gift shops at hotels and resorts, let’s move on to the next location on our list: casino gift shops.

When it comes to finding unique souvenir drinking cups on the Las Vegas Strip, casino gift shops are a treasure trove of options. These shops, located within the casinos themselves, offer a wide selection of merchandise that reflects the thrilling and glamorous atmosphere of the casino floor.

Each casino has its own unique theme and style, and this is reflected in the design of their souvenir cups. Whether you’re a fan of poker, blackjack, or roulette, you’re sure to find a cup that showcases your favorite game. These cups often feature designs with playing cards, poker chips, dice, or Las Vegas casino logos.

In addition to the casino-themed cups, many casino gift shops also offer a wide range of other Vegas-themed designs. From cups featuring famous Las Vegas landmarks to cups with cheeky sayings and slogans, there is something to suit every taste and preference.

Another advantage of shopping at casino gift shops is the convenience. You can easily find these shops on the casino floor, making it a convenient stop during your gambling adventures or when taking a break from the gaming action.

Notable casinos such as The Wynn, The Venetian, Bellagio, and MGM Grand have their own gift shops that offer a wide range of souvenir drinking cups. Make sure to explore the different casinos and browse through their selection to find the cup that speaks to you.

Now that we’ve explored the offerings at casino gift shops, let’s move on to the next location on our list: specialty stores and boutiques.

For those looking for a more unique and artistic touch, specialty stores and boutiques on the Las Vegas Strip offer a curated selection of souvenir drinking cups. These stores cater to a more discerning audience and focus on providing one-of-a-kind items that showcase the creativity and style of Las Vegas.

Specialty stores and boutiques offer a diverse range of souvenir cups that go beyond the traditional designs seen in gift shops and casino stores. Here, you’ll find cups that incorporate contemporary artistic elements, vibrant colors, and intricate detailing. These cups are not just practical vessels but also pieces of art that can be proudly displayed.

The advantage of shopping at specialty stores and boutiques is the emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. Many of these cups are handcrafted by local artists and designers, ensuring that each piece is unique and made with great care. If you’re looking for a cup that stands out from the rest and showcases the artistic side of Vegas, this is the place to find it.

The variety of designs available at specialty stores and boutiques is vast. You can find cups featuring artistic renderings of famous Vegas landmarks, abstract patterns inspired by the city’s vibrant energy, or even cups with intricate Las Vegas-themed motifs. These cups often make great conversation pieces and provide a sophisticated touch to your collection.

These cups are often made from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity. They are not just souvenirs; they are investment pieces that will bring joy for years to come.

Notable specialty stores and boutiques on the Las Vegas Strip include The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, The Shops at Crystals, and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. These establishments house a variety of boutique stores that offer unique and artistic souvenir cups.

Now that we’ve explored specialty stores and boutiques, let’s move on to the next location on our list: souvenir shops and stands.

If you’re looking for a wide variety of souvenir drinking cups at affordable prices, the souvenir shops and stands scattered throughout the Las Vegas Strip are a great option to explore. These shops and stands offer a bustling and vibrant atmosphere filled with a wide range of Vegas-themed merchandise, including a vast selection of cups.

One of the advantages of shopping at souvenir shops and stands is the sheer number of options available. These establishments often boast a large variety of cups featuring everything from classic Las Vegas symbols like the Welcome to Las Vegas sign to humorous sayings and slogans that capture the fun and spirit of the city.

These shops and stands cater to a diverse range of tastes and preferences, ensuring that you’ll find a cup that resonates with you. Whether you’re seeking a cup with a flashy design, a sleek and modern look, or a charming vintage vibe, you’re likely to find it among the many options available.

In addition to the extensive selection, souvenir shops and stands are known for their competitive prices. They offer affordable options, allowing you to indulge in multiple cups or save some extra cash for other Vegas adventures.

The convenience of these shops and stands is another notable factor. You’ll find them scattered all along the Strip, making it easy to stumble upon one during your Vegas explorations. The friendly vendors are often eager to help you find the perfect cup and may even offer suggestions based on your preferences.

While the cups available at souvenir shops and stands may not always be of the highest quality, they still make fantastic mementos of your Vegas trip. They are perfect for those looking for a fun and budget-friendly souvenir that captures the essence of their Vegas experience.

As you stroll along the Las Vegas Strip, keep an eye out for colorful kiosks, carts, and small shops displaying a wide array of souvenir cups. Places like the Fashion Show Mall or the Bonanza Gift Shop, known as the “World’s Largest Gift Shop,” are excellent destinations to start your search for the perfect Vegas-themed cup.

Now that we’ve explored souvenir shops and stands, let’s move on to the next location on our list: street vendors and pedestrian malls.

As you meander through the busy streets of the Las Vegas Strip, you’ll come across street vendors and pedestrian malls offering a unique shopping experience. These vendors and stalls provide an opportunity to discover a wide variety of souvenir drinking cups with the added charm of browsing alongside the vibrant energy of the city.

Street vendors set up their carts and stands along the popular tourist areas, attracting the attention of passersby with their array of Vegas-themed merchandise. Among their offerings, you’ll find an assortment of souvenir cups in different designs, colors, and sizes. From cups adorned with flashy lights and quirky slogans to cups featuring iconic Vegas symbols, these vendors offer a selection that will suit various tastes.

The advantage of shopping at street vendors is the opportunity to find unique and offbeat designs that may not be available in traditional stores. These vendors often source their products from different suppliers and artists, resulting in a diverse selection that stands out from the mainstream offerings.

Pedestrian malls, such as the LINQ Promenade or the Miracle Mile Shops, also feature a range of vendors selling Vegas-themed merchandise, including souvenir cups. These malls provide a lively and bustling atmosphere where you can explore various stalls and find cups that reflect the vibrant energy of Las Vegas.

In addition to the unique designs, street vendors and pedestrian malls often offer more competitive prices compared to established gift shops and boutiques. You may even have some room for negotiation, allowing you to snag a great deal on your chosen souvenir cup.

When shopping with street vendors and in pedestrian malls, it’s important to exercise caution and be mindful of the quality of the cups. Take the time to inspect the cups for any defects or signs of poor craftsmanship to ensure you’re getting a cup that will last.

As you stroll along the Strip, keep an eye out for the lively street vendors and the bustling pedestrian malls. Engage with the vendors, browse their selections, and you may just discover the perfect souvenir drinking cup that captures the essence of your Vegas experience.

Now that we’ve explored street vendors and pedestrian malls, let’s move on to the next location on our list: online retailers and websites.

If you prefer the convenience of online shopping or are unable to visit the physical stores on the Las Vegas Strip, there are several online retailers and websites specializing in Las Vegas souvenirs. These platforms offer a wide variety of souvenir drinking cups, allowing you to browse and purchase from the comfort of your own home.

By exploring online retailers and websites, you gain access to an extensive selection of cups from various sellers. You can find cups with a range of designs, from classic Las Vegas symbols to trendy and contemporary styles. The convenience of online shopping means you can easily compare prices, read customer reviews, and find the perfect cup that fits your preferences and budget.

One advantage of shopping online is the ability to find unique and rare cups that may not be readily available in brick-and-mortar stores. Online platforms often feature products from independent artists and sellers, allowing you to discover cups with distinctive designs and limited-edition collections.

Another benefit of online shopping is the ability to have your chosen souvenir cup delivered directly to your doorstep. Many online retailers offer secure and reliable shipping options, ensuring that your prized cup arrives safely. Just be sure to review the shipping details, estimated delivery times, and any associated costs before making your purchase.

When shopping online, it’s important to be aware of counterfeit or low-quality products. Stick to reputable online retailers and websites that have positive customer reviews. Take the time to read product descriptions and look at the provided images to ensure you’re getting a cup that meets your expectations in terms of design, material, and quality.

Notable online retailers and websites that specialize in Las Vegas souvenirs include official hotel and casino websites, as well as dedicated online marketplaces like Etsy and eBay. These platforms provide a vast range of options, allowing you to find the perfect souvenir drinking cup to commemorate your Vegas trip.

Now that we’ve explored online retailers and websites, it’s important to consider a few factors when choosing your souvenir drinking cup.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Souvenir Drinking Cups

When selecting a souvenir drinking cup, there are several factors to consider to ensure that you find the perfect cup that reflects your Vegas experience and meets your preferences. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:

Size and Capacity

Consider the size and capacity of the cup based on your personal preferences. Do you prefer a larger cup for holding more liquid, or do you prefer a smaller cup for easier handling? Think about your typical usage and choose a cup that suits your needs.

Design and Aesthetics

Take into account the design and aesthetics of the cup. Do you prefer a classic Vegas design, such as the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign, or a more artistic and contemporary design? Consider the color scheme, graphics, and any special features of the cup to ensure it resonates with your style.

Material and Durability

Look for cups made from durable materials such as plastic, stainless steel, or glass. Consider the cup’s ability to withstand regular use, falls, and temperature variations. It’s important to choose a cup that will last long and be able to withstand the test of time.

Price and Budget

Take into account your budget when selecting a souvenir cup. Prices can vary greatly depending on the design, material, and location of purchase. Determine a budget range and choose a cup that falls within that range while still meeting your desired criteria.

Considering these factors will help you find a souvenir drinking cup that not only brings back memories of your Vegas trip but also aligns with your personal preferences and needs. Whether you choose a flashy LED cup or a stylish glass, your chosen cup will serve as a meaningful reminder of your unforgettable Vegas experience.

Now that we’ve explored the factors to consider when choosing a souvenir drinking cup, it’s time to wrap up our article.

When choosing a souvenir drinking cup, one important factor to consider is the size and capacity of the cup. The size of the cup can greatly impact your overall drinking experience, so it’s essential to think about your personal preferences and needs.

First, consider the capacity of the cup. Do you prefer a larger cup that can hold a substantial amount of liquid, or do you prefer a smaller cup that is easy to hold and transport? Think about how much liquid you typically consume in one sitting and choose a cup that can accommodate your needs.

If you’re an avid coffee or tea drinker, you may prefer a larger cup that can hold a generous portion of your favorite hot beverage. On the other hand, if you prefer smaller sips throughout the day or need a cup for on-the-go use, a smaller-sized cup may be more convenient for you.

Next, consider the physical dimensions of the cup. Some people prefer drinking cups with taller profiles, allowing them to hold a larger amount of liquid while maintaining a sleek and elegant appearance. Others may opt for cups with wider diameters, providing a comfortable grip and allowing for easy stirring or adding ice.

It’s also important to consider the practicality of the cup’s size. Will the cup fit in your car’s cup holder or your bag? If you plan to use the cup during travel or outdoor activities, a size that fits easily into various compartments and pouches can be more convenient.

Lastly, think about the weight of the cup. A heavier cup may feel more substantial and provide a sense of durability, while a lighter cup can be easier to carry around. Consider your personal preference for the weight of the cup, as well as any limitations or preferences you may have due to physical factors or activities you’ll be engaging in while using the cup.

Overall, choosing the right size and capacity for your souvenir drinking cup ensures that it aligns with your drinking habits and lifestyle. Whether you go for a large cup to hold your favorite beverage or a smaller, more portable option, the size and capacity of the cup will greatly contribute to your enjoyment of the souvenir and serve as a practical reminder of your Vegas experience.

Now that we’ve discussed size and capacity, let’s move on to the next factor to consider when choosing a souvenir drinking cup: design and aesthetics.

When selecting a souvenir drinking cup, one factor that plays a significant role is the design and aesthetics of the cup. The design determines the overall look and feel of the cup, making it a reflection of your personal style and a representation of your Vegas experience.

Firstly, consider the theme or concept of the cup’s design. Las Vegas offers a wide range of iconic symbols and imagery that can be incorporated into the cup’s design. It could feature the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, images of iconic Las Vegas landmarks like the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Las Vegas, or the colorful lights and neon signs that adorn the Strip. Choose a cup that resonates with your Vegas memories and captures the essence of the city.

Additionally, consider the overall aesthetics of the cup. From modern and sleek designs to whimsical and playful graphics, the cup’s aesthetics contribute to its appeal. Think about your personal taste and the style that you resonate with. Do you prefer a classic and elegant cup that exudes sophistication, or a vibrant and colorful cup that showcases the lively spirit of Vegas?

The color scheme of the cup is another aspect of its design to take into account. Vibrant and bold colors can make a statement and draw attention, while subtler hues can lend an air of elegance and sophistication. Consider how the colors of the cup align with your preferences and if they evoke the mood and atmosphere you associate with Las Vegas.

Additionally, some souvenir cups feature special features or embellishments that enhance their design. This could include LED lights that illuminate the cup or 3D elements that give the design a tactile quality. These unique features can make the cup more visually engaging and add an extra element of excitement to your Vegas souvenir.

It’s important to choose a design that resonates with you and brings back fond memories of your Vegas trip. A well-designed souvenir drinking cup becomes not only a functional item but also a piece of art that sparks nostalgia and serves as a conversation starter.

Consider your personal preferences, the overall style you resonate with, and the design elements that capture the essence of your Vegas experience. By selecting a cup with a design and aesthetic that speaks to you, you will find a souvenir that not only serves its purpose practically but also offers a visually pleasing reminder of the excitement and unique energy of Las Vegas.

Now that we’ve explored design and aesthetics, let’s move on to the next factor to consider when choosing a souvenir drinking cup: material and durability.

Choosing a souvenir drinking cup with the right material and durability is essential to ensure that it not only lasts long but also withstands the rigors of daily use. The material of the cup affects its overall quality, functionality, and ability to retain its aesthetics over time.

Common materials used for souvenir drinking cups include plastic, stainless steel, glass, and ceramic. Each material has its own advantages and considerations:

Plastic: Plastic cups are lightweight and often more affordable compared to other materials. They are less likely to break if accidentally dropped, making them a practical choice for on-the-go use. However, be conscious of the type of plastic used. Look for cups made of BPA-free, food-grade plastic for safety and durability.

Stainless Steel: Stainless steel cups offer durability and excellent insulation for hot or cold beverages. They are often resistant to breakage, corrosion, and retain their aesthetic appeal. Stainless steel cups are a popular choice for those who prioritize durability and long-lasting functionality.

Glass: Glass cups provide a sleek, sophisticated, and classic aesthetic. They are often favored by those looking for a more elegant souvenir. Keep in mind that glass cups may be more fragile, so consider choosing thicker glass or opting for cups with protective sleeves or shatter-resistant features.

Ceramic: Ceramic cups are known for their aesthetic appeal and heat-retaining properties. They offer a more traditional, artisanal feel and are often chosen for their unique designs and handcrafted details. However, they are also more prone to breakage, so handle them with care.

When considering durability, think about how the cup will be used and how well it can withstand wear and tear. If you plan to use the cup on a daily basis or take it with you on adventures, opting for a more durable material like stainless steel or plastic is recommended.

It’s also wise to consider if the cup is dishwasher-safe or easy to clean, as this contributes to its longevity and overall convenience. Cups made with durable materials are more likely to withstand repeated use and regular washing without losing their aesthetic appeal.

By considering the material and durability of the souvenir drinking cup, you can ensure that it not only serves as a beloved memento of your Vegas experience but also as a practical and long-lasting addition to your drinking collection.

Now that we’ve discussed material and durability, let’s move on to the next factor to consider when choosing a souvenir drinking cup: price and budget.

When selecting a souvenir drinking cup, it’s important to consider your budget and the price range that you’re comfortable with. Souvenir cups in Las Vegas can vary in price depending on factors such as the design, material, and where you purchase them.

Setting a budget range is a helpful starting point as it allows you to narrow down your options and focus on cups within your desired price range. Consider how much you’re willing to spend on a souvenir cup based on your overall budget for Vegas souvenirs and your personal priorities.

When establishing your budget, keep in mind that souvenir drinking cups can range from affordable options to more high-end and collectible pieces. Plastic cups or basic glass cups are generally more budget-friendly, while cups made of stainless steel or with unique designs may be priced at a higher range.

Consider the value you’re getting for the price. Factors such as the cup’s quality, durability, design, and any special features can influence its price. Evaluate the cup’s overall appeal and determine if the price aligns with its perceived value and your personal expectations.

It’s also worth considering if there are any package deals or discounts available. Some gift shops or online retailers may offer promotions, such as bundle deals with multiple cups or discounts for buying in bulk. Taking advantage of these offers can help you stay within your budget while still enjoying the excitement of purchasing multiple Vegas-themed cups.

While it’s important to be mindful of your budget, also remember that souvenir drinking cups serve as lasting mementos of your Vegas experience. They are tangible reminders that allow you to relive memories and share stories with friends and family, making them a worthwhile investment.

By setting a budget and considering the price range that fits your preferences, you can find a souvenir drinking cup that not only captures the essence of Las Vegas but also aligns with your financial considerations.

Now that we’ve explored price and budget, let’s conclude our factors to consider when choosing a souvenir drinking cup.

Souvenir drinking cups in Las Vegas serve as treasured mementos of your unforgettable trip to the Entertainment Capital of the World. They encapsulate the excitement, glamour, and vibrancy of the city and provide a practical and stylish way to commemorate your Vegas experience.

Throughout the Las Vegas Strip, numerous locations offer a variety of souvenir cups to suit every taste and preference. From gift shops at hotels and resorts to casino gift shops, specialty stores, souvenir shops and stands, street vendors, pedestrian malls, and online retailers, there is no shortage of options to discover the perfect cup.

When choosing a souvenir drinking cup, remember to consider factors such as size and capacity to ensure it fits your drinking habits and lifestyle. The design and aesthetics of the cup play a crucial role in capturing the spirit of Las Vegas and reflecting your personal style. Material and durability are important considerations to ensure that the cup withstands regular use and retains its quality over time. Finally, establish a budget range and choose a cup that offers the best value within your price range.

Whether you choose a whimsical cup adorned with neon lights, a sleek and elegant glass with the Las Vegas skyline, or a classic cup featuring iconic Vegas symbols, your souvenir drinking cup will serve as a tangible reminder of the thrilling experiences and memories made in Las Vegas.

So, as you embark on your journey to find the perfect souvenir drinking cup on the Las Vegas Strip, consider the factors discussed, follow your personal preferences, and select a cup that not only brings joy but also becomes a cherished keepsake for years to come.

The blinking cowboy boot from the on-street bar at the Nugget downtown. There is a switch so you can adjust the blinking patterns, light colours, etc. Get one with a hurricane in it :)

MMMMM.... a Hurricane! If I head downtown, I will definately do that!

Best Souvenirs to Buy in Las Vegas

With the scale of many of these souvenir stores, it’s easy to get lost in them. You’ll typically see signs posted everywhere displaying unbeatable deals with lights and sounds from certain items, and endless racks of clothing to comb through looking for the perfect gift.

Here’s a list of popular souvenirs you can find almost anywhere that make great choices for your Vegas trip:

  • Clothing – Vegas themed t-shirts, hoodies, hats
  • Drink accessories – Shot glasses, cups, drink warmers
  • Table toppers – Snow globes, decorated plates, etc.
  • Food – Vegas related snacks
  • Keychains – Vegas-themed ones, keychains with your name
  • Car accessories – Vegas-themed License plates
  • Gaming – Cards, dice, poker chips, gambling books
  • Vegas posters

For the best deals, look for specials on buying multiple items (2 for $10, 10 for $10, etc.) Many shops carry similar products, so if you can’t find a good deal in one, try shopping around at a nearby shop.

Tips for Getting Your Souvenirs Home

Finding souvenirs in Las Vegas is the easy part. It’s getting them home that’s often the challenging part, especially if you need to take an airplane back home. It’s hard to estimate how many souvenirs you’ll end up with from your trip, especially if you come across a good deal.

Keep these tips handy, and you won’t have to leave anything behind when it’s time to go:

If you anticipate buying lots of souvenirs for family and friends, leave some extra room in your luggage when packing for your trip to Vegas. With efficient packing techniques, like rolling up t-shirts or putting items in your extra pair of shoes, you can maximize your available space. You can also consider bringing an extra empty suitcase just for souvenirs.

  • Buy small items

We know it’s hard to resist buying those oversized playing cards, or the unbeatable deal for a set of three large chocolate boxes. However, if you’re limited on space, you might end up having to discard them, or paying extra for overweight bags.

  • Ship your souvenirs

If you brought enough souvenirs to open up your own Las Vegas gift shop back home, you may have to consider shipping them back if you run out of space in your luggage. You can always find a United States Postal Service, or UPS store conveniently located on your way to the airport from the Strip. It may be cheaper to ship items than paying extra at check-in for that extra bag full of souvenirs.

  • Drive to Las Vegas

If you live close enough, such as in Los Angeles , Reno , or Utah a road trip to Las Vegas is ideal for transporting your souvenirs back home. Your car will have plenty of space to fit everything.

Top 10 Souvenir Cups

Looking for the best souvenir cups in vegas this is where you find them....

The Yard The yard long frozen drink is a staple on the Vegas Strip. You can find this at many different frozen drink shops since it’s not a themed drink cup. Not only does is say look at me but it contains more frozen booze than anyone should have in one drink. This isn’t really a souvenir since you can’t really take it home on an airplane but it’s a badge of honor to walk around Vegas with.

Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower has become one of the most noticeable souvenir drink cups on the Vegas Strip. Yes, it’s a frozen drink in a cup shaped like the Eiffel Tower that you get from Paris Hotel which has a replica Eiffel Tower in front of it. Everyone that sees you drinking from this cup knows where you got it.

The Boot The souvenir boot drink cup from Coyote Ugly inside New York-New York Casino Hotel says that you’re more country than the other people around you. This may not be the most famous souvenir cups in Las Vegas but it is one of the most recognizable. When you take it home this souvenir cup is not only a memory of New York-New York casino but also fun times at Coyote Ugly.

The Guitar If you’re more of a rocker than a country person you can get a giant souvenir guitar from Rockhouse at The Venetian. The guitar is more than a souvenir cup, it’s 80 ounces of frozen fun. This drink is so big that you get a neck strap to hold onto it. The guitar is large but still thin enough to pack away when you go home.

The Football The football souvenir cup is one of the most famous souvenir drink cups in Downtown Vegas. You can fill it with beer or a frozen drink of your choice. When you’re walking around Fremont Street you can expect to see empty football cups flying over your head. If you’re not drinking from the football cup chances are that you’re tossing it around. Football souvenir cups are available at just about anywhere that serves drinks to go downtown. They’re not made for a specific casino so this will serve as an your memorial of a fun night downtown.

Champagne Bottle The 48 ounce gold champagne bottle drink is one of the newer souvenir drink cups to hit the Vegas Strip. It’s huge and comes with a rope chain so you can hold your bling with no hands. You can find this drink cup at Planet Hollywood. It’s filled with Red Bull and Vodka or your choice of frozen drinks. This thing is so big that you won’t even feel silly drinking out of a champagne bottle from a straw.

Skulls Treasure Island has a unique skull souvenir cup. This is simply a cup that’s shaped like a skull. It holds just over two beers but you can also fill it with frozen margarita. The skull is a replica of the skull that you see in the lagoon in front of Treasure Island. These are reusable and travel well. They may not be the most famous souvenir cup from Vegas but there’s something to be said for yelling “I’m drinking out of a skull mug!”.

Paris Balloon The Paris Balloon souvenir cup is another newcomer to the Las Vegas souvenir cup party. Everyone who walks the Vegas Strip notices the giant Paris Balloon down the street from the Eiffel Tower. While everyone else may stop in the middle of the Vegas Strip for an Eiffel Tower drink you can be a little different with the Paris Balloon. The colors and style of the Paris Balloon cup makes for one of the nicer souvenir cups to bring home from Vegas.

Naked Lady The D Hotel in Downtown Vegas has a clear souvenir cup in the form of a naked lady. When you fill this drink she takes the color of your beverage. It’s strange to see people drinking out of a giant cup shaped like a woman’s body but it’s certainly an eye catcher. It’s probably not your first frozen souvenir drink if you’re drinking from this cup.

The Bong Smokers from all over have been gravitating to souvenir drink cups shaped like a bong. Souvenir bong cups are long and aren’t hotel specific but are becoming more popular by the day. If Cheech and Chong were walking under the canopy at Fremont, our guess is that this would be their open container of choice!

What to Pack for Vegas – 15 Things to Bring (beyond the obvious)

What to Pack for Vegas – 15 Things to Bring (beyond the obvious)

Share with your friends!

Here’s my list of what to pack for Vegas, since traveling to this city is different from anywhere else.

Packing for vacation can be tough, and if you’re anything like me, I always seem to overpack, yet feel like I forgot something.

Visiting Las Vegas is unlike any other destination in the United States. Between the desert climate, all the walking you’ll be doing, and the need for a goodnight’s sleep, there are definitely some key things you want to pack for a Vegas trip.

You won’t find things like bathing suits, flip flops, types of outfits to wear, little black dress, a light jacket, or a refillable water bottle in this list – I’m giving you real tips about what to pack for Vegas to make your trip as comfortable as possible.

After dozens of trips to this lively city, here’s my essential packing list for Las Vegas, beyond what you normally might not think of.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click through and make a purchase I may make a small commission. I only share information about things I know, love and trust!

vegas trip cups

Lately this has been my go-to bag for walking the Strip. It’s closer to my body so it’s more secure.

And I love how I can have my hands free for taking photos or holding my drink!

Or when you’re sitting down at a slot machine or table, no need to set your purse down anywhere.

It also came in handy when I went on day trips off the Strip, like horseback riding in the desert and hiking at Red Rock Canyon.

I love my Lululemon fanny pack (pictured in photo).

But these fanny packs come in 18 different colors with a cute gold zipper (at about half the cost of my Lululemon bag).

Chapstick with SPF

Not only is the desert air extremely dry, it’s very easy to get sunburn, even on your lips.

So many people don’t realize how easily it is to get cooked here. You can always buy Chapstick at the pharmacy, but by then it’s usually too late!

And men, this goes for you too! Sun Bum or Salt & Stone are the highest quality chapsticks that both my husband and I use.

Smooth and buttery!

Nuun Electrolyte Tablets

These are a lifesaver in Vegas. The dry desert air actually dehydrates you much faster than anywhere else.

Combine this with all the walking and likely more extra alcohol consumption than normal, you’ll feel so much better getting some electrolytes in.

Add a tablet to water before bed or in the morning (or both) and you’ll be amazed how well they prevent your hangovers coming to full fruition.

There’s tons of flavors you can choose from (lemon-lime, tropical, tri-berry, strawberry lemonade, etc), or go with the variety pack.

Charcoal Pills

This is another underrated item to pack for Vegas. Activated charcoal can help remove toxins from your body more quickly and that includes liquor.

It can also help with digestion if you’ve been eating too much, especially rich foods.

I’ve always taken one before bed and another in the morning, and I’ve never had a slow morning in Vegas!

Please note that this is not intended to be medical advice, just anecdotal tips from a seasoned traveler. You should always speak to your healthcare professional before taking anything supplements.

Travel White Noise Machine

Another item I always pack for Vegas is my travel white noise machine .

It helps me sleep so much better, which is important on vacation!

Yes, there are apps you can download on your phone, but the noise quality just doesn’t compare to an actual machine.

This would be especially useful to bring with you if you’re traveling to Vegas with kids.

Small Coffee Machine

Keurig K-Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker

If you need your morning coffee before you can function and you can fit it in your luggage, I highly recommend bringing a small coffee machine with you to Vegas.

None of the hotel rooms have coffee machines as they want you to buy coffee from the shops in the hotels.

Not only is the hotel coffee expensive (even drip coffee is going to run at least $6), the lineups are always long.

Bring your own coffee machine and pods, and avoid having to get dressed, go wait in line for 25 minutes and pay almost $20 for two cups of coffee.

Add this up over the few days you’re there – not only does it get expensive, it wastes valuable Vegas time!

This Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker is small enough to fit in your carry-on and is a fan favorite among Las Vegas regular visitors.

Another option is bringing a collapsible kettle , which takes up even less space in your luggage (and works for tea drinkers).

Then you can either bring instant coffee (the Starbucks ones are pretty good in a pinch), or I like to bring single-serve pour over coffee packets .

Vicks VapoInhaler

A Vicks VapoInhaler for your nose is a must have product for Las Vegas!

The weather not only dries out your skin, but your nose too.

At the very least, I find it’s super handy for airplane travel, as my nose always gets dry and uncomfortable after a few hours in the air.

Or better yet, it masks the smells on the plane from other air passengers.

Comfortable Walking Shoes

vegas trip cups

This is the number one tip given to people traveling to Las Vegas for the first time.

And while I’m sure you’ve heard this over and over again, I can’t leave a pair of comfy shoes off this list!

I walk upwards of 20,000 steps per day in Vegas, so shoes that don’t hurt my feet are the most important item to pack.

I recommend the following shoes:

  • Comfy daytime shoes/sneakers – these are the shoes I wore on my last trip picture in the photos.
  • Sandals you can walk in for hours
  • A pair or two of shoes for evening & dinners
  • Foldable flats – these are essential to carry along in your purse for when your heels inevitably fail you! You can also find vending machines that sell these flats.

I’ve seen them at Planet Hollywood and the Venetian. But I recommend packing them with you to avoid unnecessary walking when your feet are killing you.

Reusable Tumbler

Simple Modern Insulated Tumbler with Lid and Straw | Iced Coffee Cup Reusable Stainless Steel Water Bottle Travel Mug | 24oz |

One of the best ways to save money in Vegas (click for all the tips) is to make your own drinks and carry them around in a reusable cup.

This tumbler is super insulated and stands up to the Las Vegas heat, even when the temps hit triple digits.

It comes with both a flip lid and a straw lid and comes in 41 colors!

I’m a YETI girl myself, and I bring this mug which doubles as a coffee mug in the morning, and then an insulated tumbler from my drinks down by the pool!

vegas trip cups

Bucket , Epsom Salt and Marbles

This might sound weird, but if you have the space, you’ll thank me later. At the end of the day when your feet are tired, try this remedy.

Soak your feet in a bucket of warm water and epsom salt (while you enjoy a beverage).

Then, roll them over the marbles for a massage – your feet will feel so much better.

Check out this collapsible bucket .

It’s soft-sided so you can easily store it in your luggage, and it folds flat to take up no space.

It’s so versatile you can use it to soak your feet, do laundry when you travel, wash you feet after the beach, wash dishes and more.

Collapsible Cooler Bag

CleverMade Tahoe Collapsible Cooler Bag, 50 Can - Structured, Leakproof Coolers for Travel with Built-In Bottle Opener - Soft-Sided & Insulated

One of the best ways to save money here is to buy your own drinks at CVS or Walgreens instead of paying high prices at the casino shops or at the bar.

Most hotel rooms in Las Vegas don’t have a fridge, so bringing a foldable cooler and filling it full of ice is the best way to keep your drinks cold.

And it’s not just for drinks either – you can store your leftover food from the large portion sizes too!

This is a highly rated collapsible cooler .

If you search ‘Vegas’ in the reviews, you’ll see that tons of people have used this one.

Anti-Chafe Products

Body Glide Original Anti Chafing Stick Balm0.8oz: cream in stick form to prevent rubbing leading to chafing & raw skin. Use for arm, chest, butt, ball & thigh chafing

There will be so much walking on this trip which also means so much rubbing!

Prevent chafing before it happens and you will be so much more comfortable.

The Gold Bond Friction Stick is the most used product out there. It’s non-greasy, not chalky and barely noticeable.

Some people prefer a rub-on balm , others prefer a powder.

I like powder if you tend to sweat a lot, and this Anti Monkey Butt has added calamine in it to help soothe.

Use it for the thighs, under the bra, undersides of the arms, down below in the special areas and on your heels.

And men, this product is for you!

Dearfoams Women's Beatrice Velour Slide Slippers

After a long day of walking the strip, I like taking my shoes off in the hotel room.

But there’s so much turnover in Las Vegas hotel rooms, I never trust how clean the carpets are.

So I always pack slippers to wear!

These slippers have memory foam , so they’re ultra comfy when you put them on if your feet are sore from walking.

And they come in 10 colors!

Panthers vs. Oilers Stanley Cup Final odds, prediction: Florida roughs up Connor McDavid

The Florida Panthers will need to get physical with the Oilers' stars.

The NHL Stanley Cup Final is set and it’s the Florida Panthers again coming out of the East , set to meet the Edmonton Oilers in a somewhat surprising result out of the Western Conference.

Florida is the favorite, entering the Stanley Cup Final at -130 odds on DraftKings , with the Oilers at +110.

The Panthers have the benefit of home ice through the series, which should be quite the advantage, considering how well Edmonton has performed in these playoffs.

Edmonton was out-shot, 34-10, in Game 6, yet still won thanks to some fancy Connor McDavid footwork that led to the opening goal on a power play, followed by a second first-period power play goal by Zach Hyman.

However, that strategy might not be too successful against a Panthers team which has made opposing power plays look like a non-issue in these playoffs.

In their last 10 games, the Panthers have an insane 92.3 percent kill rate on power plays, something that will need to translate to this series against the Oilers.

Edmonton was fourth in the NHL in power play goals (60) this past regular season and third in expected goal percentage (92.18 percent) in advantaged situations.

Expect the Panthers to get very physical with the Oilers’ stars from the very first puck drop, beginning June 8 at 8 p.m. live from Amerant Bank Arena.

Is Connor McDavid on an unstoppable path to The Cup.

NHL Stanley Cup Finals prediction

As is often the case, this series will come down to special teams, which has been a major advantage for Florida through the first three series.

Adding to the equation is goal tending which in theory would be a massive advantage for Florida, considering Edmonton benched Stuart Skinner once already this postseason, while the Panthers boast Sergei Bobrovsky between the pipes.

Skinner actually looked excellent toward the end of the Stars series, where the Oilers won the final two games, including a Game 6 road victory in Dallas.

The Florida Panthers will look to rough up Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid early and often.

According to MoneyPuck, the Oilers have actually been the luckiest team in the NHL playoffs, and while, yes, every team that gets this far needs a fair bit of bounces to go its way, this is an excess amount of luck that makes it difficult to bet on them.

Edmonton has scored 3.6 more goals than expected in the 5-on-5, the most among all playoff teams, while the Panthers have actually been unlucky, according to MoneyPuck.

Florida has scored 4.74 fewer goals than expected in those situations.

The Panthers also has the most low-danger shots among all playoff teams after finishing third in the league during the regular season.

That’s actually a good stat to note, as the Panthers will be focused on breaking the Oilers’ goaltending and pepper Skinner with shots from start to finish.

The Panthers are a rightful favorite and could be prepared to bring The Cup home to Florida.

Analysis: Why the Florida Panthers will win the Stanley Cup Final

F ORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers are in the Stanley Cup Final for the third time. The first two, well, didn't go as planned.

Swept by Colorado in 1996. Beaten in five games by Vegas last year.

This trip feels different. The Panthers are a different team than they were a year ago; certainly healthier, certainly better for the experience of getting to the final and falling short. They have had to beat three extremely good teams to get here — a state rival in Tampa Bay, a real contender in Boston, a Presidents' Trophy winner in the New York Rangers.

Here's why the Panthers will beat the Edmonton Oilers and win the Stanley Cup:

The Oilers are loaded up front. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have combined to win four of the last seven MVP awards (three by McDavid), and those two players have more points than any other player since McDavid entered the league.

But the edge Florida has here is depth. There are 14 forwards in this Cup final with more than 45 points this season, including playoffs. The Panthers have eight of them. The Oilers lost 24 of the 35 games this season when neither McDavid nor Draisaitl has scored a goal. Florida seems to have more balance, meaning it's not all on Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov or Sam Reinhart to carry the load.

And the Panthers would argue this with anyone: Barkov has been the best two-way player in these playoffs.

Gustav Forsling got an eight-year, $46 million extension this season. It looks like an absolute steal. The Panthers believe he's the best defenseman in the league in a corps that already had Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour, plus added depth in Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Dmitry Kulikov.

Florida might be thought of as a high-octane team. But the reality is, the Panthers have given up a league-low 2.39 goals per game this season. Plus, the Panthers know how to slam the door: They're an NHL-best 42-0-3 when leading after two periods this season, including playoffs.

There may not be a more beloved active athlete in South Florida at this very moment than Sergei Bobrovsky, who has outdueled three incredible goalies to get back to the Cup final.

Bob — he's just Bob at this time of year — led Florida past Andrei Vasilevskiy and Tampa Bay in Round 1, Jeremy Swayman and Boston in Round 2, and Igor Shesterkin and the New York Rangers in Round 3.

Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner has been great, for certain. But Bob has been a wall, with no signs of slowing down.

Let's put Paul Maurice's work in his two Florida seasons into perspective. He has won 25 playoff games with the Panthers. That matches the total of all other Panthers coaches in the first 28 seasons of franchise history — combined.

Maurice has waited forever for his first Cup. The Panthers weren't healthy enough by the final round to give him a real shot last year. This team is determined to get his name etched on the greatest chalice in sports.

Playoff games, by nature, are close contests. The attention to detail is off the charts, the buy-in for the tough moments — blocking shots, digging pucks out of corners, delivering the right hit at the right time — is ramped up well beyond regular-season levels.

Florida is 17-5 in one-goal games the last two postseasons, the best winning percentage in the NHL in that span. There will be uncomfortable moments in this series, but the Panthers seem very comfortable when games are super tight.

The Panthers are slight favorites, according to BetMGM Sportsbook , and why not? South Florida has seen the Marlins win it all twice, the Dolphins win it all twice and the Heat win it all three times. Welcome to the party, Stanley. Panthers in 7.

Hockey Town USA? It's in Florida where Panthers, Lightning are Stanley Cup Finals regulars

vegas trip cups

When the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers entered the National Hockey League in the 1990s, purists of the sport across Canada and in colder sites in North America were shocked.

The only icing Floridians knew about was the cold stuff in their drinks. When Sunshine State residents thought of hockey pucks, they heard Don Rickles tossing out one of his insults. There were thousands of tennis courts for every indoor hockey rink around the state.

When the Lightning and Panthers started winning playoff games - and even hoisting the Stanley Cup - hockey aficionados were aghast. Is nothing sacred?

Not sure what those who live in climates where summer makes a brief appearance stand these days, but they can't be too happy with the fact that the Stanley Cup Playoffs have run through Florida THE LAST FIVE YEARS.

Have the Lightning, Panthers ever won a Stanley Cup?

Florida has appeared in two previous Stanley Cup Finals - winning neither.

However, Tampa Bay has won 3 Stanley Cups, the first coming during the 2003-04 season when the Lightning defeated the Calgary Flames in 7 games. They also won in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Starting with the Bolts' appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2020, either Tampa Bay or Florida have played for Lord Stanley's trophy in the postseason. Here are the cold, hard facts:

2019-20: Lightning vs. Stars, Stanley Cup champions

Tampa Bay defeated Dallas in six games to win its second NHL championship.

2020-21: Lightning vs. Canadiens, Stanley Cup champions

Tampa Bay defeated Montreal in five games.

2021-22: Lightning vs. Avalanche, Stanley Cup runner-up

Denver defeated Tampa Bay in six games for its first NHL championship.

2022-23: Florida vs. Las Vegas, Stanley Cup runner-up

Las Vegas won its first NHL championship, defeating Florida in five games.

2023-24: Florida vs. Edmonton, TBD

Panthers take down Rangers 2-1, clinch trip to second straight Stanley Cup Final

SUNRISE — Paul Maurice has coached more games than anyone in NHL history without winning a Stanley Cup. He tried and came up just short in the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights last year.

Florida Panthers | Game 6: Florida Panthers 2, New York Rangers 1 | PHOTOS

He will get another bite at the apple now.

The Florida Panthers beat the New York Rangers , who were this season’s Presidents’ Trophy winners, 2-1 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Saturday, clinching a second straight trip to the championship round. Florida will face the winner of the Dallas-Edmonton Western Conference finals in the Stanley Cup Final, which begins on Saturday.

“We expected to be back here,” Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk said. “Obviously, nothing is guaranteed, but we were expecting this. The way we’ve been working, the way we’ve been dialed in, detailed. Right now, we’re very happy to be back, but we were going to be pushing for this and kind of expecting it, the way we put in all the work. So we’re very proud to be here, we’re very happy, but the job’s not finished.”

Both New York and Florida had good chances in the first period, but it was the Panthers who struck first. Sam Bennett won the puck back in the neutral zone and passed it to Evan Rodrigues . Rodrigues passed back to Bennett, who fired a one-timer over Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin ’s left shoulder to put Florida up 1-0 in the final minute of the first period.

The Panthers clung to that lead through the second period as both teams had good opportunities to score. After giving up the first-period goal, Shesterkin returned to the stellar form that has carried the Rangers through the playoffs, making several high-level saves.

“I haven’t seen a series by a goaltender like that since Jose Theodore in 2002,” Maurice said. “(He) won the Hart Trophy (as the NHL’s MVP) that year.”

Shesterkin could not defend his net forever. About midway through the third period, center Anton Lundell fed Vladimir Tarasenko a pass directly in front of the net, and Tarasenko netted his third goal of the postseason to give the Panthers an insurance goal.

The insurance was needed, as Rangers star Artemi Panarin netted New York’s lone goal with 1:40 left in the third period. But it was too little, too late for New York.

Other than the late goal, Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky was stellar like he has been for most of the postseason. He made 23 saves on 24 shots on goal.

“It is a luxury for sure,” Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov said. “Hardest-working guy I’ve ever seen. You just know when a guy works that hard. He’s also super calm every single day at practice. He’s having fun. Morning skate, he’s having fun. Warmups, all that kind of stuff, you see him being in the zone. You just know he’s going to be on top of his game. He’s been unbelievable.”

Last year, the Panthers held the Prince of Wales Trophy after winning the Eastern Conference, going against superstition. This time around, Barkov made sure to keep the team from handling it.

“We touched it last year, and it didn’t work for us,” Bennett said. “So we thought we’d try something different this year.”

Florida Panthers win 2nd straight Eastern Conference title

SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Prince of Wales Trophy was carried onto the ice when time expired, as an arena filled with Florida Panthers fans roared in delight and dozens of players and staffers rushed over to pose with the prize.

Last year, the Panthers touched the trophy.

This year, they didn't. The message was clear. The Stanley Cup is the only one they want.

For the second straight year, they have a chance at hockey's greatest prize. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 23 shots, Sam Bennett and Vladimir Tarasenko scored, and the Panthers are headed to the Stanley Cup Final again after beating the New York Rangers 2-1 on Saturday night.

"We touched it last year and it didn't work for us," Bennett said of ignoring the trophy, the one presented to the Eastern Conference champions. "So, we thought we'd try something different this year."

The Panthers -- who lost the Cup finals to Vegas last year -- won the East title series in six games. Florida will face either Edmonton or Dallas for the Cup, that series is set to start on June 8.

"It is hard to play, but we like to think it is harder to play against. It takes a lot of buy-in, a lot of hard work," Florida forward Matthew Tkachuk said of his team's style during his on-ice, postgame interview on ESPN. "We have worked so hard since training camp and practices. We are really happy to be back. It is special for us to be back in this position after such a tough loss last year.

"I remember going around in the locker room after the loss in Game 5 [to the Golden Knights], going on and telling everyone that we will be back. Well, we are back right now. We are really excited."

Artemi Panarin scored with 1:40 left, and Igor Shesterkin stopped 32 shots for the Rangers, who had a 2-1 lead in the series -- then lost three straight, costing them their season. It was New York's longest losing streak since mid-January and means that, for the 11th consecutive year, the team that finished with the NHL's best regular-season record won't go on to win the Stanley Cup.

"Listen, our guys fought this year," Rangers coach Peter Laviolette said. "They bought in right from the start. It's disappointing; when you start something like this you don't do it to get three wins in the playoffs or five wins in the playoffs. You do it to go the whole way."

If Edmonton -- which leads the West finals 3-2 -- advances, Game 1 of the title round will be on Florida's ice. If Dallas wins the West, the Stars will have home-ice advantage for the title series. The Oilers can clinch that series Sunday night.

Florida will play for the Stanley Cup for the third time. The Panthers were swept by Colorado in 1996 and lost 4-1 to Vegas last season. It's also the third time in the finals for Panthers coach Paul Maurice, who lost with Carolina in 2002 and then with Florida last year.

Maybe the third time is the charm for them both.

"My enjoyment of the game -- and this is new for me -- comes from my understanding that I'm really not that important here," said Maurice, who, at 57, is bidding to be the second-oldest coach to win his first Stanley Cup; Bruce Cassidy was 58 when Vegas gave him his first title last year. "And I mean that. There's a great line, 'Don't be so humble, you're not that good.' It's the players. And when they're going, they don't need me."

Florida's win meant it has now been five consecutive seasons that a team from the Sunshine State won the Eastern Conference; Tampa Bay won the Prince of Wales Trophy in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and now Florida has gone back-to-back. The Panthers also are now the 15th active NHL franchise to make the Cup finals in consecutive seasons.

The Panthers also ousted the regular season's best team -- the Presidents' Trophy winner -- for the second consecutive year. Last season, Florida stunned Boston in Round 1, winning Game 7 on the road. This time, it was the Rangers who fell to Florida, which became the first franchise to eliminate the No. 1 overall seed in consecutive years since Pittsburgh did it to Washington in 2016 and 2017.

"We knew it wasn't going to be easy," Rangers center Mika Zibanejad said. "I thought we tried to throw everything we had. It just wasn't enough today."

And for Bobrovsky, taking down No. 1 is evidently his thing.

He was in net to beat the top overall seed for the third time in six years -- the Rangers this year, the Bruins last year and Tampa Bay when he was in Columbus in 2019.

"We were right there," Rangers captain Jacob Trouba said. "We just came up short."

Bennett opened the scoring in the final minute of the first period, sending the puck to Evan Rodrigues , getting it back and one-timing a shot over Shesterkin's glove into the upper right corner of the net. It was the third straight game with a goal for Bennett, matching his longest streak of the season and marking the first time he's had such a run in a postseason.

Bennett had a takeaway near the blue line with about five minutes left in the second period that created a great chance, one that had Matthew Tkachuk skating down the slot with only Shesterkin in front of him. Shesterkin made a toe save, though Tkachuk didn't get much on the shot since Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller swung from behind and hit him in the wrist with his stick just before the shot got off.

Tarasenko was alone on the side of the net midway through the third for an easy one, making it 2-0.

The Rangers didn't go quietly. Shesterkin went to the bench with 2:24 left and Panarin scored 44 seconds later, cutting the Florida lead in half. But the Panthers killed off the rest of the clock, and with that, the celebration was on.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Florida Panthers return to Stanley Cup Final with Game 6 win against New York Rangers

vegas trip cups

The Florida Panthers are returning to the Stanley Cup Final for the second year in a row after beating the No. 1 overall New York Rangers 2-1 in Game 6 on Saturday night.

And they might be in better shape than last year's team as they seek their first Stanley Cup title.

They're scoring more goals, giving up fewer and have better special teams than last year's team, which pulled off three consecutive upsets before falling to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Panthers are also healthier and deeper.

"The right pieces were added, some great pieces added, and just one mindset of doing whatever it took to get back to it," Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk said. "I think the guys who were here last year did an unbelievable job coming back for the start of camp with this on their mind."

They're riding their system to perfection, with an aggressive forecheck making it difficult for opponents to get up the ice. And if they do get through, goalie Sergei Bobrovsky is there to shut them down.

He made 23 saves on Saturday and has allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of his last 11 games.

The Panthers held New York's Mika Zibanejad without a goal and limited Chris Kreider and Artemi Panarin (who scored in the final minutes of Game 6) to one goal. NHL leading scorer Nikita Kucherov had no goals for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round and Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak had one in the second round.

The Panthers outplayed the Rangers throughout most of the conference final and only goalie Igor Shesterkin's brilliance (32 saves on Saturday) extended the series to six games. Florida allowed only one Rangers power-play goal.

Sam Bennett gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead with 50 seconds left in the first period on a give-and-go with Evan Rodrigues. He ripped a shot over Shesterkin's glove.

Trade deadline acquisition Vladimir Tarasenko added to the score with a goal in the third period, ending an eight-game goal drought. The Panthers have a 24-11 edge in scoring in the third period in these playoffs.

The Panthers are the first team since the 2008-09 Pittsburgh Penguins to return to the Final the year after losing in the championship round. That Penguins team beat the Detroit Red Wings for the title.

Florida players this year didn't touch the Prince of Wales Trophy, awarded to the Eastern Conference champions, after touching it last year.

"I think we needed to do something different and that's what we did," Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov told reporters.

What's next for the Florida Panthers?

They'll head to the Stanley Cup Final for the second year in a row and third time overall. They are 1-8 in their two appearances. They'll face either the Dallas Stars or Edmonton Oilers in the championship round. Edmonton has a 3-2 series lead and can clinch the Western Conference final Sunday night at home . Florida went 2-0 against each team in the regular season and will have home-ice advantage if the Oilers advance.

The Panthers were expected to drop off because of early absences of defensemen Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad (offseason shoulder surgery). But they signed defensemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Dmitry Kulkov and Niko Mikkola to help them cope, plus forward Rodrigues. Tarasenko and Kyle Okposo were added at the trade deadline.

"We are not done yet," Tkachuk said. "We're very happy with the way this playoffs has gone for us, winning the first three, but it's a different feeling this year, for sure. I'm very proud of the effort from everybody."

What's next for the New York Rangers?

They went after big names at the 2023 trade deadline, including Tarasenko, and plugged gaps at this year's deadline. In both cases, they fell short of their goal and became the latest Presidents' Trophy winner to miss out on winning the Cup.

The Rangers should be able to come back with most of their players. Offseason acquisitions Blake Wheeler and Erik Gustafsson are unrestricted free agents as are trade deadline acquisitions Jack Roslovic, Alex Wennberg and Chad Ruhwedel. Kaapo Kakko is their top restricted free agent. Shesterkin and Alexis Lafreniere are entering the final years of their contracts and are eligible for an extension after July 1.

Stanley Cup Final schedule, TV channels: How to watch Edmonton Oilers vs Florida Panthers

Sporting News : Panthers will beat Oilers in six games

Bryan Murphy writes: "When it comes to playoff hockey, experience is a major factor. If you look at all of the previous Stanley Cup champions in recent history, more often than not, it's taken a team multiple times to finally get over the hump to lift the Stanley Cup.  McDavid is going to get his Stanley Cup. He's too good of a player not to win a championship — it's a matter of when, not if — but this Florida team is simply too good to lose two years in a row in the finals. For the first time in Panthers history, a Stanley Cup will be brought to South Beach."

Sports Betting Dime : Bet the Panthers on the series moneyline vs Oilers

Brady Trettenero writes: "Goaltending is a clear advantage for Florida, but this was also the case for Dallas in the previous round, and we all know how that played out. This is a tough matchup to call, but we think the Panthers are just built better to win a seven-game series at this point of the year. Bobrovsky was the MVP of the Panthers’ 2023 Stanley Cup run but appeared to be hampered by fatigue in the Final. With over a week to rest up for the Cup Final in June, we like the chances of him being a true difference maker this time around. The Cats scored at will against the Oilers this regular season, and Stuart Skinner still owns a playoff save percentage below .900 despite some strong recent play. The Rangers were flying on offense before running into this stifling Panthers’ defense, and we envision a similar scenario playing out for the offense-first Oilers this round."

Odds Shark : Take Panthers to beat Oilers in Stanley Cup Final

Michel Anderson writes: "Historical betting trends strongly suggest that Florida will win this year. We also can't forget that Florida's path has been daunting. Specifically when you look at the goaltending they pushed through. In Round 1 it was 2-time Cup champ Andrei Vasilevskiy, then Jeremy Swayman who was phenomenal with a 0.917SV% and then a nearly flawless Shesterkin who held a glowing 0.930SV% and 2.25GAA. I can't bet against Florida, Specifically with Edmonton's wildly inconsistent goaltending."

SI:AM | Oilers Advance to Stanley Cup Final After Recording Just 10 Shots on Goal

Dan gartland | 12 hours ago.

McDavid heads to his first Stanley Cup Final.

  • Edmonton Oilers

Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. I think my favorite sports story this weekend was the fan who stepped up to caddy for a PGA Tour pro .

In today’s SI:AM:

🏒 Stanley Cup Final set 🇫🇷 French Open midterm grades 🥊 The end for a boxing great?

They made them count

An old hockey cliché says if you get pucks on net, you’ll give yourself a chance to win. Well, the Edmonton Oilers struggled mightily to get pucks on net in Game 6 of their series against the Dallas Stars on Sunday night, but they still came away with the victory and advanced to the Stanley Cup Final .

The Oilers managed just 10 shots on goal, while the Stars recorded 35. But Edmonton won 2–1, becoming just the third team in NHL history to win a playoff game while recording 10 or fewer shots on goal.

When scoring chances are in short supply, it helps to have a player who’s capable of turning nothing into something—and Edmonton’s Connor McDavid does just that. McDavid scored the first goal of the game with an incredible display of individual skill, dancing through the Dallas defense with some spectacular stickhandling before burying a backhand shot. (McDavid also assisted on the Oilers’ second goal , scored by Zach Hyman.)

“Hockey’s hard, you know? You need a lot of things to go right,” Stars center Tyler Seguin said after the game . “You need to have the opportunity. We had the opportunity. We went through a gauntlet and beat some really good teams and knew we had something special.

“We lost to a team we thought we could beat, and sometimes that’s [the] playoffs. Sometimes it’s that one bounce, one goal, one save. It’s why we all love it and it’s why this is the hardest damn trophy in the world to win.”

The Stars had been carried during these playoffs by star goalie Jake Oettinger. Over the first 16 games of the postseason (through Game 3 of the Edmonton series), Oettinger had a 2.09 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. But he allowed four goals on 28 shots in Game 4 and three goals on 26 shots in Game 5 before getting beaten twice in 10 tries in the series-clinching game Sunday.

Oettinger’s counterpart, meanwhile, was fantastic in the final three games of the series. Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner allowed just four goals in the last three games (all of which Edmonton won) and had an impressive .948 save percentage.

With the win, the Oilers advanced to their first Stanley Cup Final since 2006. Despite employing the best player in the world in McDavid, Edmonton had repeatedly fallen short in the playoffs, only advancing past the second round once in McDavid’s first eight seasons. And at the beginning of this season, it looked like the Oilers were destined for more disappointment. They won just two of their first 10 games, leading to the firing of coach Jay Woodcroft. But then they got hot— really hot . They went 26–6 in their first 32 games under new coach Kris Knoblauch, a stretch that included a 16-game winning streak, one game shy of the all-time NHL record.

The Oilers are great, but they’ll have their hands full in a Final matchup against the Florida Panthers, who finished the regular season tied for the second most wins in the NHL. Game 1 of that series will be in Florida on Saturday.
