Crown Jewels Morning Tour, 3 hours There is nothing quite like being in the Tower of London when its drawbridge is closed to all but you and the people who live there. Add to that a private viewing of the Crown Jewels and you have an incredibly special, unforgettable experience.

Arriving at this 900 year old fortress, you will be greeted by a Yeoman Warder (often known as a Beefeater) and walked via Traitors Gate, where prisoners entered and awaited their fate, and the execution site where no less than three Queens of England were executed. Then on to the Jewel House, which houses the uninsurable, priceless Crown Jewels!

From here the Duty Warden will welcome you and then you will be guided through the exhibition to the piece de resistance, the stunning jewels. This dazzling display includes the St Edward’s Crown, that has adorned every crowned Monarch’s head since 1661; the Monarch’s sceptre holding the largest clear cut diamond in the world at 530 carats. And the Imperial State Crown that Her Majesty described as her best hat!

You are welcome to stay in the Tower at your leisure after it opens to the public. Crown Jewels, Evening Tour 3 hours If you are looking for the ultimate exclusive evening experience in London, then you’ve found it! Entering the Tower of London once it has closed its doors for the night is truly incredible. Arriving at the Tower, you will be greeted by a Yeoman Warder, a guardian of the fortress. You’ll be picked up from your hotel (or other Central London location) by your friendly local ‘cabbie’ guide, and for the next 4 hours you’ll be driven around the city to see almost all of the Top Sights…

Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, Tower of London… these are just some of the amazing landmarks you’ll see today!

You’ll stop for pictures along the way, and your driver will tell stories and facts that will really help you get to know London like a local!

After your taxi tour, step into the Tower of London, where there is an abundance of history, stories and ghosts to be found. This is your chance to see the Beefeaters and Crown Jewels!

This Private Tour seats up to 6 people and includes pickup in Central London – we will contact you after booking to arrange a pickup location.

No trip to London is complete without a visit to one of the city’s most famous monuments: the Tower of London. This historic castle, on the north bank of the River Thames, was founded at the end of 1066. Playing a prominent role in history ever since, the tower has done a bit of everything. It has been a treasury, a menagerie, a public record office, home of the Crown Jewels of England and so much more. And it is just waiting to be discovered!

In just 2.5 hours, your expert, English-speaking tour guide will take you from the main entrance throughout the Tower and its constituent buildings. After an inspiring introduction to the Tower’s colorful history, you’ll head on in. Admire Tower Green and the spot where Henry VIII beheaded both Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, and see the White Tower too - a medieval keep. The site just oozes history and stories, and your guide will be on hand to tell you everything you need to know.

You can explore the Royal Armouries, see the Tower ravens and, of course, get the chance to marvel at the Crown Jewels. They have been held here for the past 600 years and include orbs, crowns, rings and swords used during noble appearances such as coronation ceremonies and more.

We regularly book private tours in major cities so we have a frame of reference. This was London's Historic Pubs and Rebels. The tour guide was nice, answered our questions and took us to a few pubs. We did a private walking tour of things he seemed to like. I asked at the beginning of the tour about finding a dinner location in a nice pub at the end of the tour-he tried his best at three locations and spent extra time, but no luck-all booked. Perhaps if we had called ahead when I asked? It was a Sunday so historic pubs I had hoped to see were closed. Not the tour person's fault. Our hotel ended up giving us better recommendations for pubs, however. I went back after the tour and read about things I would have liked to hear about with relation to pubs. I’m not sure if you can request a particular guide but I would highly recommend Danny. He was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who balanced historical explanations with friendly banter. There were areas of the Tower that he wasn’t allowed to come in as a guide so he took time to tell us the areas of interest in places like the Crown Jewels, so we didn’t miss anything. In hindsight it is a little odd that a paid guide can’t guide someone through some exhibits but at the time it didn’t impact the trip. The only “downside” of the tour was there was so much to see that we couldn’t fit it all in. Even though you could easily spend a full day at the Tower of London we did not feel rushed to get through the Tower within our time window; it was a great amount to see for a first visit and gives us plenty to see again on another trip. My family was visiting London for our first time in April; we booked the Tower of London / London Bridge Tour. The entire time (which was most of the tour) we were at the Tower of London, we were followed and harassed by the staff and our tour guide was not permitted to give us a tour there. We did not receive a tour from the tour guide in any building. It was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. I emailed Travel Curious and asked for a partial refund- the request was denied. I used Travel Curious for 2 tours that week for a family of 5; I spent a lot of money on those tours. If I pay for a tour, I expect to receive it and that did not happen. For about 10 weeks every summer (select dates from July 11 to Sept. 29, 2024), Buckingham Palace opens its elaborate gates, welcoming visitors to explore its lavish State Rooms, grounds and Royal Collection artworks. The Royal Mews is also open to visitors from March to October, showcasing the Royal Family's real working stables and ornate, historic carriages – including the Gold State Coach used for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Coronation in 2022.

Your guide will explain which regiment is which, before taking you on a guided walking tour past other world-famous, attractions, including Big Ben, Clarence House, the Houses of Parliament , St James's Palace and Westminster Abbey .
