Tour iconique de la skyline de La Défense, CB21 invite au voyage et à l’ouverture, et conserve son audace.

Construite entre 1972 et 1974, c’est une tour pionnière du quartier de La Défense. A l’époque, sa construction fait polémique, considérée comme trop haute elle est jugée trop voyante depuis Paris. C’est avec le soutien de Georges Pompidou, et de son souhait de doter la capitale d’infrastructure moderne, qu’elle finit par s’élever à la hauteur initialement prévue : 188 mètres.

Identifiable par son plan en forme de croix grecque, son architecture du XXème siècle en fait un des fondamentaux au même titre que les monuments parisiens tels que la Pyramide du Louvre, ou le Centre Pompidou.

A l’écoute des nouvelles aspirations

Tour iconique de La Défense, elle est aussi un élément précurseur du quartier. En 2010, elle fait l’objet d’une restructuration complète pour répondre aux normes environnementales actuelles, dans le but d’améliorer ses performances énergétiques. Ces travaux lui ont permis d’être la première tour du quartier à obtenir la certification HQE Exploitation suivi par la certification BREEAM.

En 2019, la Tour CB21 a su conserver son esprit audacieux en rénovant son socle serviciel et ses circulations, dans un style hôtelier invitant au voyage, à la mobilité et à l’échange : un accueil monumental avec un espace chill & wait ; le restaurant Le Patio qui emprunte à la Méditerranée sa douceur et ses couleurs solaires ; le restaurant La Bibliothèque des Gourmets dont le nom évoque une offre de restauration aux belles promesses ; la cafétéria Le Tonic Lunch dotée d’une ambiance dynamique, vitaminée et ouverte toute la journée ; une offre fitness complète proposant un espace zen, une salle avec machines ainsi que des cours collectifs.

Le bien-être utilisateurs au-delà des services 

Pour parfaire la rénovation des services, 1 500 m2 de jardins uniques et accessibles aux utilisateurs de la Tour, ont été pensés comme de véritables destinations et conçus comme des œuvres d’art à ciel ouvert de jour comme de nuit. La transformation de ces espaces verts fait écho aux évolutions extérieures de La Défense.

Cette rénovation intègre les engagements de Covivio, co-investisseur en partenariat avec CNP de la tour CB21, dans la transition écologique. Avec l’obtention d’une double certification en 2010 et la signature du Contrat de Performance Energétique en 2019, permettant une gestion de l’énergie maitrisée, CB21 répond de façon organique aux exigences environnementales en lien avec la volonté de Paris La Défense, de se renouveler sans cesse dans une démarche de développement durable.
