Timeless Travel Trailers is the manufacturer of its own brand of travel trailers known as Westcraft. These trailers are designed to have a retro look, featuring unique clerestory or "trolley top" designs, rounded corners, and a gracefully sloped tail that takes you back to the mid-20th century. Each unit's interior is fully custom-designed and handcrafted, catering to recreational or commercial use. These trailers come in different sizes ranging from 17 to 40 feet, with units over 28 feet also offered as 5th wheel units. Airstream motorhomes.

7 Vintage Airstreams That Have Been Restored With Style

Vintage Airstreams are DIY treasures. Over time the silver bullets become run down, damaged, and need extensive repairs. But renovating a travel trailer is a lengthy and challenging project. If you don’t have the time (or motivation) to refurbish an Airstream, but still dream of owning one of these classic shiny campers, consider finding one online that’s already been remodeled. We searched Airstream Classifieds and found these seven beautifully restored builds that are up for sale right now.

1. This 1977 Airstream Excella was professionally remodeled in 2014.

The renovation work includes new electronic brakes, new tires, and a new freshwater system. They also polished the exterior, painted the interior white, and added elegant white curtains.

They took down most of the cabinets to give it a more open feel. honey-colored laminate flooring was installed and a small bistro table for eating. it’s currently listed for sale in napa, california. read more here ..

2. In Austin, Texas, this 1969 Airstream Sovereign was gutted inside and completely rebuilt.

The owner added new electrical wiring, insulation, and reclaimed wood flooring. Check out the listing on Airstream Classifieds .

The interior was refurbished with all new plumbing, light fixtures, and curtains. It’s for sale right now in Hanford, California .

4. Another gem from Austin, Texas, this 1969 Airstream Overlander has been fully restored inside and out.

With a spacious custom interior, it’s built for lounging, tailgating parties, or even as a pop-up shop. Get the details here .

5. If you like Coca Cola and all things vintage, you’ll love this rare 1985 Airstream 345 bus.

The motorhome is furnished with a variety of retro Coca Cola items.

Beneath the checkerboard is all wood flooring. it’s currently up for sale in clover, south carolina ..

6. Over the last year, this 1967 Airstream Safari has gotten a complete makeover.

It now has all tinted windows, skylights, Suntouch infloor heating, and new foam cushions.

There’s also new sconce lighting and insulated Route 66 curtains. The classic trailer’s currently up for sale in Ridgway, Colorado .

7. This shiny 1967 Airstream Caravel has been painstakingly restored to like-new condition.

Renovation FAQs

How long does it take you to renovate an rv.

This answer varies greatly depending on how big the RV is and how intense the renovation is but on average, they are typically 6-12 weeks.

Where are you located?

We are currently traveling full time and have location partners across the country where we do the renovations. Part of the reason we’re traveling is to find our next home base.

In July of 2022, we closed our shop in the Austin, Texas area after falling out of love with the region. Instead of jumping into our next home base, we are spending ample time in the town before committing to growing this business there. We are hoping to have our “forever” home by the end of 2024. Once the decision is made, we will begin growing the team which will allow us to build even more incredible RVs for clients.

I see you’ve done mostly fifth wheels. Do you renovate motorhomes too? What about building skoolies or vans from scratch?

We can renovate any existing space, meaning any pre-built towable or motorhome. As much as we love the idea of doing a full build out of a van or skoolie, that is a different discipline and not something we can accommodate at this time.

How does the design process work?

Typically, we work hand-in-hand with the client to bring their vision to life. They will provide us with some inspiration pictures then we come up with an initial design plan. The client will give us their edits, then we continue to tweak and design from there.

Each interior is bespoke and tailored to be exactly what the client wants, as is the experience. Every once in a while we’ll have a client that adores the design process and wants to handle the entire thing on their own, which we are happy to allow. On the flip side, we’ve had clients be completely overwhelmed by design decisions. They’ll give us a broad direction, then we make every decision for them. Each design experience is tailored toward the client and their individual desires.

I’m from ____ state, can you still renovate my RV?

Yes. Our clients are scattered across the county. We’ve had clients from New York, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Utah, California, Oregon etc. We’ve had clients send their RVs several thousand miles to be renovated by us.

Do you do simple renovations, like only rebuild a shower?

No. For the foreseeable future, we are not doing projects that only take a few days. We are focusing on full renovations that take several weeks to several months.

Do you take on clients that have very unique requests?

Yes! We love unique requests. As long as it doesn’t have a massive effect on the structure, we can pretty much do it.

We’ve had some fun ones in the past. One client (a corporation) had us covert a standard RV into a podcast studio where we removed the bed, shrunk the full kitchen to a kitchenette and shrunk the full bath to a half bath. Another client asked us to keep the door off of her bedroom and replace it with a baby gate to act as a dog door. Recently, a client requested we keep all built-in appliances out of her kitchen. She only wanted a sink and a fridge as she cooked with countertop appliances like an air fryer and Instapot.

Unique requests keep us on our toes and we love it.

I don’t currently own the RV I want you to renovate. Can you help me find one?

Yes. This is something we can help our renovation clients with. However, we cannot source RVs for people who do not intend to be renovation clients.

Do you repair RVs?

We try not to. We realize that problems can be discovered during the renovation process though. If the problem is simple enough, we might be able to fix it. If not, we will work with a local service tech to fix it and keep the client informed on the repairs and costs.

This goes for water damage too. We do not take on RVs that have active areas of water damage. Water damage needs to be repaired before the RV comes to us.
