Liars and cheats

Wish I could give this company zero stars. They also operate as flight catchers, stay away, charge you for their mistakes. They can't spell or understand English to a basic standard. Got an email from Turkish Airlines today (23/9/22) stating incorrect title is not an issue. And polani travel and FLIGHT CATCHERS wanted £150. Shame on you guys.

They are actually very good

I was mortified when looking at the reviews after purchase but I just recently got a £500 flight using Etihad airways from Manchester to Jakarta which was £300 less than any other agency. I had no issues whatsoever and the flight was great in comparison to other flights I have been on, saved myself £300 and had a better experience than I’ve ever had before. I was confused about the process but they responded in less than a day to help my query. It seems that you will only have an issue if you need to rearrange which is not the agencies fault in my opinion.

Poloni Travel also known as Flight Catchers. AVOID THIS BUNCH OF SCAMMERS

I booked a flight for 28th August 2022 to fly to Bangkok Thailand. I arrived at the airport to find the airline (Scoot) had pulled out of flying from there the day before. (Several other families who had also booked with Poloni Travel were also there). I contacted Poloni Travel assistance help line (Waste of time) who told me they did know of the cancellation, but failed to contact me. I put in a claim for my fare to be refunded. Every week I either called or emails and was told the refund has been escalated to the highest lever to obtain my refund. This went on for 1 year, 9 months to date. I am still waiting for my money. I am now taking court action as they will not get away with theft. DON’T BOOK WITH THESE BUNCH OF RUDE AND NASTY SCAMMERS. Addition just found out poloni travel had the refund from Scoot in September 22. Watch this space

They illegally took 582 from my account…

They illegally took 582 pounds from my account in March and up to now haven't paid it back. Don't deposit money in their Barclays bank account. Barclays bank told me it's buyer seller dispute yet I been scammed by these heartless people. If they are disputing this review they need to call me 07306 402528

THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY

THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY. AVOID. My Wife and I booked tickets with them to India and were then told that we need to add middle names or Air India wont let us board. They forced us to pay us to pay an extra £293.78 and kept threatening that they will not help if Air India declines to let us board our flight. At the Air Port, we asked Air India if our original booking was sufficient and they said YES, no name changes were needed or even done by the Travel Agents. Take my advice, DO NOT BOOK WITH FLIGHT CATCHERS or POLANI TRAVEL!

I wish I had read reviews of this…

I wish I had read reviews of this company before I booked. I had to cancel a flight due to illness. The cancellation was processed. You have to keep asking them if they have received the refund which they claim takes 6 weeks. They then tell you it will take 10 days before you receive the refund. After waiting 3 weeks I am still chasing them . They now tell me my refund will be a priority which tells me that it has still not been processed after 3 weeks. Definitely a company to avoid.

So disappointed with this agency and…

So disappointed with this agency and wonder there are a genuine agency.I booked to travel on the 30th of August returning on the 7th of September but polani booked 7 November as my returning date.I quickly told them the mistake and they said they will deduct £250 from £889.60 just to cancel. Later they cancelled the flight and gave me only £71 from 889.60. I am truly disgusted . No one should use them they are living thieves

I just read all the reviews, shocking and heart breaking, ive just rang them and will have fun with them 😂😂😂😂 Going to book tickets without even making a payment to them, going to mess their minds in a twist and I’m doing this for all them dear folks who got scammed by them, weirdly enough they answered the call and said they will call me back once a booking agent is free, i must admit the guy became suspicious when talking to me, unfortunately my voice sounded deep and rough

PolaniTravels harassing customers

PolaniTravels operates as a "flightcatcher.com" for international flight bookings. I booked my tickets for London Kolkata to Kolkata London Flight reference number: PG 9C86B3 After coming to India I had a serous medical emergency and I furnished the certificate from the hospital and the company refused to cancel the return ticket and asked for rescheduling the ticket immediately. The charges they demanded for the rescheduling of the ticket is a way higher than the price of the new ticket. I request the UK government to look into the companies who are harassing gullible customers. Warm regards Proma Das

1 star is overly generous!

If 0 stars was an option then I definitely would have given them 0 stars as I feel giving them 1 star is overly generous. My flight back in 2021 got cancelled due to the country I was travelling from got put on the red list. Now since then I have been ringing and emailing them to receive my refund and all they kept saying was that we have not received a refund from the Airline and when we do we will give you the refund. 2 years have gone by and I have received nothing. Last year when I emailed them they had asked to confirm whether I wanted the refund or not which I did and they said within 6 months I would receive the refund. 12 months have gone by and I have received nothing. I emailed them recently and received a response today and was told that they have not received any request despite me having the refund request in black and white in front of me. Beware of this company, as it is a fraudulent company and is out there to leach on other peoples money!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...THEY ARE DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT...WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING MY TICKET. This is the worst travel agency I have ever used. Will never ever use them again. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM. They say they record all conversations and even had the cheek to delete or withdraw emails they had committed to refunding the full amount I paid and did not. I received £51.00 back from the £823.59 unbelievable. I got an email saying that I received £721.00, when I called to say it is not in my bank yet, the message got deleted by them (as if I had imagined it), and the phone conversation took an entirely different turn saying that I was only getting £51.00 as a return when my full amount was promised and was scammed into buying another ticket, saying that I would get a refund on the ticket purchased earlier, and I did that trusting them without a thought. It was a hoax and a fraud. I am still waiting to hear about the full refund and will take it up with my bank and solicitors. Losing £800 is not a joke!! Thelma M Sequeira

These people are scammers , I am really disappointed with myself for giving these people my hard earned cash , this flight was booked well in advance as a treat for my daughter who’s getting married in December, yet these heartless individuals are trying to scam us out of more money , never again will I use them , I am looking into reporting them to the relevant authorities. 100% out to rip you off - DO NOT USE!!!!

I have booked many flights over the years via skyscanner and particularly using Turkish Airlines. This is the first time I've ever used these scamming lowlifes who also trade as flightcatchers. Their reviews speak for themselves. Within a few minutes of booking my flights with them late on a Sunday night, I was being called by them (another first when booking with Skyscanner) to tell me that I hadn't booked any baggage. This was not clear - I have flown with Turkish Airlines many times and there has always been a 23Kg baggage allowance. It is so obvious that it is deliberately not clear that there is no baggage allowance, otherwise why else would someone with a strong Indian accent call you minutes after booking to try and charge an over inflated extra £87 per passenger for luggage? Sadly I will also be leaving a poor reviews for both Skyscanner and Turkish Airlines to bring their attention to the practices of these scammers and for allowing them to use their platforms and good names to rip people off. Companies like this and those who work for them, deserve to be out of a job.

Low level customer service

The customer service is lowest level The airline cancelled one of our flight and This agent want £23 on each ticket as a admin fee . I booked same flight with another agent and that agent didn't asked a penny to rebook that cancelled flight . the admin fee has been paid now our date of birth on airline data are incorrect i been trying to sort this matter out but customer services asking me to call after 2 hour write an email and chase us for a fun. What a bu” s”t service and laying before booking that guy name inshal I booked tickets from him he told me different story on telephone they laying about luggage allowance. I was asking him twice about luggage he said yes your can split 30KG with 2 luggage when I went to the airport air line staff refused to take my other luggage they said you should pay or put in bin your stuff they charge me £144 on the spot at airport I call them. Usually suspicious about the online…

Usually suspicious about the online travel companies, but took a chance to book with them . Kashif was really helpful to find the best option to book same flight as my wife and give best deal. He also does not mind to look for options should one asks , very patient. Checked PNR number aginst the airline company then and then, happy to see it was booked with them at the same time so no holding in middle as many other does.

some reassurance

Hi guys, just wanted to give a comprehensive take on Flightcatchers aka polani. Firstly they do come across as fairly dodgy in how they approach seat add ons ect so be aware that the amount you will pay on this for long-haul for us was over £100 (together). The call centres they use to ask for this are aggressive and it seems to me most people have had their issues and bad experiences due to this. Ticket wise please do not worry about them faking tickets. Not sure why people are saying they do but Ive checked my numbers by ringing the airlines themselves and the tickets do exist. Potentially use them but with some real caution!!! Was stressful but we got there in the end.

Evil, dishonest people

Evil, dishonest people who want to take your money and leave you stranded in a foreign country. What you book is **not** what you get: what they say is a single flight turns out to be multiple self-transfers with impossible changes. Polani (who now pose as Flightcatchers) don't care: they've got your money and they'll post hundreds of fake reviews to boost their score!

Warning complete scammers

Warning complete scammers. We booked flights via them travelling via Etihad airlines. To make the ticket appear cheaper they changed the return flight to a different carrier who in turn changed flight time by 4 hours meaning we would mis our connecting flight with no notification. Contacted Polani (aka flightcatchers) for help and they blamed us and told us we had to pay an extra £595.50 or be left stranded in tbe airport. They robbed us by setting a trap in the flight booking.

Flightscammers volume 2

I'm posting this review for Polani Travel as its the same company as Flightcatchers. This is a company with a very low bar in relation to business ethics. While reviews for “Flightcatchers” appear to be good, it’s worthwhile checking those for Polani Travel, which is actually the parent company. In truth, what you buy from them will probably work. However, it’s the other things they do to improve their profit line that are the issue. In my case, having bought family tickets for a fight to the Philippine’s in May with Kuwait Airways, I was told I had to pay an additional £250 as one of my son’s middle names was missing from the booking. This was the cheapest of the options given! In short, that was a scam. No middle names are required at all for most airlines in the UK and on the Kuwait website itself, they only ask for the 1st name and surname. I wrote to them three times, and on each occasion, they insisted that they were following the airlines policy and refused a refund. This was despite the fact that I sent them an email received from the Airline itself that completely refuted this stance. The solution: pay by credit card and action a Section 75 via your credit card company for misrepresentation. It works. Watch out for the misleading response to this review and remember, there is a reason why this company is not a member of any travel organisation such as ABTA that imposes standards. Why? They don’t have any!

Fraudulent company stay away

Fraudulent company stay away. Virgin Atlantic cancelled the flight & confirmed they issued a full refunded back to all the travel agents. But Flightcatchers also known as Polani Travel are trying to charge me admin fees and making varied excuses to delay/avoid refund. I feel so stressed and depressed by their contast shifting of goal posts and broken words and lies. Forced to instruct a solicitor to relieve the stress on me. Its been 3+ months since & I have all the evidence to show this in court. Stay Away!

Fictitious charges

It would appear one of their tricks is to call you within a few minutes of paying for your tickets and telling you that you and your wife may not get to sit together so best they arrange the seat selection which comes with a charge by the airline even though the airline don't actually charge for this! Add this to the cost of the ticket and I would have done better dealing direct with the airline. I would give them a very wide berth!

Absurd Company

Absurd Company. Bought flights that I thought were good value. One part of my journey was then almost immediately cancelled, meaning we could not get to the destination we wanted to go to. I asked for a refund and they said they would charge a 23 pound admin fee per person, despite not receiving anything at all. Seem like a scam company, and from everyone elses views, seems to be the case. Will be making complaint to Momondo/Skyscanner as well, as this company should never have been allowed to be advertised through there. Thanks, Emma

Thinking I was online to TravelUp who I…

Thinking I was online to TravelUp who I had used previously I paid for flights to S.America although I paid for and received my e-tickets for our British Airway flights to Buenos Aires (and beyond), the reservations had not been made! We were refused access to the flights and upon contacting the travel agency were told that they had not made the reservations/the contact name I had did not exist/the BA receipt I had received from BA on their headed paper was false! I was devastated. When I checked back on my Wise card for the payment to TravelUp I found split payments made to Polani Travel (I had never heard of them). So they took my money fraudulently and I lost my flights! I have tried to contact them to get my money returned to no avail. They are real scammers. Be careful.

Our tour was excellent Diaramaid is a delightful guide. He spends time getting to know everyone and is always smiling. The countries were very interesting. Lots of history and beautiful scenery. I do recommend when visiting the Trakai castle there needs to be more time as eating lunch took up mpst of our time. Also we arrive quite late in Poznan and it might have been better to just go straight to Warsaw. Our gropup of people were like family and we are now friends. I really enjoyed my experience.

Loved Scandinavia and Baltics tour. I have travelled with various companies on multiple tours and Diarmaid is the best leader I have had and we loved Sylvian (our driver) too. The accommodation was great - the ferries particularly a highlight. I only wish we had more time in Riga and Tallinn (but fortunately I had been there before). I recommend the Fjord optional in Norway but, if you are happy to do your own research, save your money on the city 'plus' optionals for the well-earned tip for your tour leader and driver. Gdansk and Bergen were particular highlights.

Just booked my tickets to Jamaica. I wanted to write a review because the reviews for this travel agency was not very good. I was very worried after reading the reviews when I made payment for these tickets. I had no problems!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Alvin, I got a good price for the tickets. The service was excellent. I had no problems, the tickets where held for 2days, when I paid the money in full, I was sent an invoice with the booking refernce, receipt of the full payment and confirmation of my travel, through my email. I also received my tickets the same day, via email. I even went online to Virgin Atlantic and they had my booking. I was able to select my seat and menu for my flights all in the same day. Ask for Alvin EXT 418, when you call this travel agency. He is really great. Thanks A million alvin.

Also trading as Polani Travel, London Do not be taken in by a large proportion of positive reviews on here. They are fake. The majority are Asian names but even the reviews with British names write like they are Asian. This is true for every review site they are on. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Originally posted on Trustpilot (13.05.24): After booking our flights with them I was approached on approximately 25.07.23 by a rep from Flightcatchers to see if I wanted to book seats that were together on our Air India flight to Goa via Mumbai, returning to Heathrow via Delhi; I (foolishly) said yes. They quoted me one price (around about £140) and then asked me for more money when I booked them because "the prices had gone up". This turned out to be a complete lie. They eventually charged me around £155 (for seats that were free) and took about 5 minutes to arrange. When I checked the seating positions they had actually put us in (free) seats next to the toilet on a night flight!! I made them change this. I ended up paying a further £12 for seats at the front of the plane for our flight in to Dabolim (something i did myself). To add insult to injury if I had looked in to it a bit more I could have done this directly with Air India myself with the reservation code for free and the £155 they conned me out of could have been spent on buying actual seats in much better positions. Their communication was good throughout but cancelled out by their con tricks. Please use these people with caution and also wait and see how many 'positive' reviews follow this one. Every negative review is followed by half a dozen positive ones; probably not a coincidence. I didn't make too much fuss at the time because (after reading other reviews) I didn't want to give them the opportunity to stitch me up on my booking They then replied to me UPDATE 15.05.24: After their comment yesterday i.e.'make things right for you', they phoned me and offered me......... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Do not let yourself be taken in by these people or the exteremely dodgy positive reviews. It's all just hot air from these awful people to try and make themselves look good on this review. If you don't mind being ripped off then knock yourselves out otherwise stay well clear

Pity you can't go lower than one star. I would avoid them at all costs as you can't trust a single word they say. I can't tolerate sharp practices and these guys take the biscuit! If you don't have a choice but to deal with them just watch out for the call about seat selection as soon as you have bought your ticket. They will lie to you that the airline charges for this even though its totally free. Best to deal direct with the airline.

Absolute garbage company, don't know their heads from their arse. They over charge for everything and then claim that they are not responsible. Please avoid this company at all cost.

Avoid using Flightcatchers AKA Polani Travel Ltd You don't know what you are getting yourselves into. You are warned!!! They will cancel your flights without notification, rob you of your money, ruin your holidays. I still don't understand how these people exist in the travel industry, allowed to open a shop and run a business like this. They literally preying on average folks who look for Cheap flights after saving some monies all year to offer their families a good time. Plus, this company is not approved by any of the following travel organizations: ABTA, CAA, TNG, CEDR, ADR etc. So you cannot even hold them accountable. Even Resolver won't have them on their database. I hope you see the whole picture.

There is no option for 0 star, otherwise I would have given it. Please avoid them at all cost. They are not responsible travel agent. I have given them for Umrah visa and they return the passport with main page teared up into two pieces and did not bother telling me. Once I showed them, they said its ok but airport authorities never accepted tear passport. I had to bear all the cost of making a new passport and they are bothered. Do not go with them at any cost !

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! They are all liars! They won't pass on their Terms and Conditions or go through with you before you pay for your tickets. They won't issue my ticket even when I've paid my tickets in full on day of booking. Stupidly I did it on my debit card, to pay for over £2000 tickets. They won't provide receipt. Now they are trying to charge me more saying it's a fuel surcharge by Qatar Airways and yet they can't provide me evidence of such notice from Qatar Airways! Don't believe me, search for their reviews on google! Their real company name is "Polani Travel Ltd." also operating with the name www.comefli.com. I'm now seeking help from the Office of Fair Trading, Consumer direct line: 08454 04 05 06. The more people who file their problems with Office of Fair Trading the more chance we have of getting authorities involved!

Polani Travel partners with BR-DGE to boost choice at checkout

It will utilise insights to drive informed decisions for its payment stack

Payment orchestration provider BR-DGE has announced a new partnership with e-commerce company offering travel products and services Polani Travel.

The partnership will equip Polani Travel and its flightcatchers.com business with the latest BR-DGE payment orchestration technology in order to deliver a “first-class, seamless online checkout experience” for customers. 

The e-commerce company offer flights, hotels and holiday packages will have access to BR-DGE’s platform of more than 300 payment and technology providers via a single point of integration.

The family-run business, that operates flightcatchers.com, which is an IATA-accredited agent offering flights and holidays for UK travellers, is about to make the transition to a multi-acquirer strategy.

It will be able to route traffic and utilise data insights to drive informed decisions for its payment stack.

Recent BR-DGE research found that only 5% of consumers have previously used Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) for purchasing holidays, but consumers are increasingly looking for flexibility at the checkout, as nearly half of consumers shopping for travel and holidays (42%) are open to using flexible payment solutions, such as instalment payment options or BNPL solutions in the future.

Polani Travel is working to meet this demand for alternative payment methods, with the partnership to highlight the business’s “commitment to investing in cutting-edge technology in order to deliver a simple and hassle-free online experience”.
