I just discovered this spot recently and i have been impressed. I've eaten here more than five times and their food has always been good. Their customer service has been good too, although i wait for a few more minutes than i would love to.
My husband and I love the staff in the fuel station kitchen at this Petro. We stop once a day to heat up our prepared food and the little Mexican lady that works behind the food counter is the sweetest part of my day. She always asks how we are and wishes us a safe journey. She brightens the entire place up with her kindness, her hard work, and how clean she keeps everything! Thanks for having her on the team Petro!
I mistakenly left my credit card at this station after a long drive. Not only did they hold onto the card, but they sent it to me without charge. Honest and great customer service. THANKS!!!
Thanks to a friend for the lead to this clean gem en route to Tucson. He did get his fill of the buffet - with three trips. His eats looked good with beans, eggs, & meat. I settled for poached eggs, rye toast & home fries. Nice sized servings and all served in the namesake, iron skillet. Restaurant manager greeting tables with a small town hospitality. All coffee orders received their own small pot. Service very friendly & prompt. Restaurant is very clean & bathroom decor puts several Phoenix establishments to shame. Gift shop looked enticing.

TA Opens 3rd Black Bear Diner in Arizona
WESTLAKE, OH – TravelCenters of America, part of the bp portfolio, is excited to announce the opening of its 10th Black Bear Diner (BBD) in the TA and Petro network and its third location in Arizona. BBD opened this week at the Petro Eloy, AZ travel center located at 5235 N. Sunland Gin Rd., Casa Grande, AZ 85131.
The woodsy bear-themed restaurant coupled with an extensive menu of freshly made meals has become a TA customer favorite. Menu items consist of hearty breakfasts offered all day including sweet cream pancakes and waffles, Bear’s Benedicts with hollandaise sauce, and bottomless hot coffee and iced cold brew. Lunch and dinner options include bear-sized portions of full-course meals including Roasted Turkey, Slow-Cooked Pot Roast, Homestyle Fried Chicken, and so much more including cub-sized meals for the littles.
Befitting every Black Bear Diner is a uniquely carved bear for that special photo op and a gift shop with Bears Brew Back coffee, plush toys, and apparel for guests to commemorate their visit.
“Walking into a Black Bear Diner is like walking into a cabin in the woods, where you can count on a great home-cooked meal at a good value in a relaxed setting,” said Mike Polachek, SVP, Hospitality.

One of the quieter TA travel centers. Decent and consistent cleanliness. Lots of parking. No sit down full service restaurant but they have a full service shop. Little Sisters truck wash on site and last ditch street and dirt parking for the late-comers.
