Our two-level 26-metre vessel is ideal for all styles of events and will comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests seated and 120 in a cocktail-style event.

Group Bookings

Spirit of Cairns is happy to accommodate group bookings for our calm water dinner cruises. We offer one free-of-charge ticket for every 20 guests booked. Please note this offer cannot be combined with any further discounts.

Your group can join us on one of the standard dinner cruises hosted 7 nights a week. In doing so, your trip would include:

• A welcome glass of sparkling wine, beer or soft drink on arrival
• A 2.5-hour calm water evening cruise
• Delicious buffet dinner

GETTING AROUND

Getting there is the easy bit; Cairns houses a major airport, with both Qantas and Virgin offering daily flights. Only 3 hours from Sydney; perfect for a few throat charmers to kick off the Bucks.

It can get hot as hell in Cairns, so the air conditioned cabs and Uber are your best bet if you’ve got to go more then 1km. Sunbus are the local bus operators. Cheap and easy, but god speed if public transport on the bus is your best mode of transport to ship the lads around Cairns on.

Otherwise, walking and bikes are you best bet. You can cover the majority of the city, and bank on some of the above for trips to places like Port Douglas.

CULTURE VULTURE

The warm waters are fantastic for swimming from November to May, but with Stingers and Crocs in play for the rest of the year, proceed with absolute caution. Cairns Lagoon offers superb respite from the heat and stingers. It is salt water, free entry and has a life guard for those less than capable in the water (or operating on some sort of hangover). Alcohol is banned, so use it as your recovery time.

Great Barrier Reef cruises aren’t just for the O/S tourist. For those from the South of Australia, it is more than worthwhile to check out one of the world’s natural wonders. Pack the Ginger tablets with you though, the open water can get rough, and never goes well with the the 6 Jack and Coke’s from the night before.

Kuranda rainforest is a picturesque village on Cairns’ tablelands. The sky rail can take you out, and The Bucks Co highly recommends the ATV tour. The rainforest is a perfect juxtaposition to the mayhem you likely caused the night previous or the one coming. Yes. We said juxtaposition. We’re wicked smart. For those at one with nature, this is a must.

BABY WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT

Cairns is a backpacker haven, with a plethora of bars and pubs to suit. Think discounted drinks, plenty of Vodka Cruisers going around, and sticky floors from the spilt Jager Bombs. You’ll see tours rolling through most nights, and generally, all are up for a good time. Expect few laughs and if you get them early enough in their Australian sojourn, open to believing you did a guest stint opposite Holly Vallance back in Ramsay Street. Or have a koala as a pet. Just be careful with this fact, as koalas are known carriers of chlamydia, probably not a great conversation piece.

It takes a while for a city trend to make its way up to Cairns, but there is a nice collection of cocktail bars springing up for those chasing a classier drinking experience. ‘Three Wolves’ leads the pack as one of the best small bars in Australia. The reality is, 10 years ago, any order outside of XXXX was frowned upon, so the progress has been outstanding.

The Reef Hotel Casino will most likely gain you patronage at some stage. Best news is, it stacks up as a Casino, with plenty of gaming, a cracking sports bar and a rooftop pool with views of the city.

Food wise, if you fancy a quality dining experience and a bit of a treat, best to stick to ‘tropical sea-food’. Often fished out of the waters that afternoon, you’ll find your best options along the waterfront.

The classic pub meal is always available too; a town made for backpackers, end of season trips and bucks parties knows how to do a quality tucker on the cheap to recharge the batteries. It’s been clinically trialled that you can live off an exclusive Chicken Parma diet over the course of a weekend.

Our charter boat is equipped with a multifunctional DVD/CD player with direct connectivity available to laptops, iPods and MP3 players.

We can also suggest a variety of live musical performers, DJ’s or Jukebox hire which can be arranged for an additional fee.

Pink Cocktails and hits from the 90s! What better way is there to spend an afternoon with the girls (or guys)?

Some of the best cocktails are Pink! The Cosmo, Clover Club, Rainbow Road...Strawberry Daiquiri. So this cruise celebrates the best Pink drinks using a variety of spirits, not just gin!

You'll drink 7 Pink Cocktails made using a variety of spirits whilst singing along to some Britany, N-Sync, Nelly, Destinys Child, and more! Plus some party food too...TBC

Refunds/ Exchanges/ Cruise moves

We do not offer refunds on tickets, but we do offer a 7-day cooling off period, so if you change your mind within 7 days from booking, we'll happily refund you (unless it is 21 days before the event). Up to 21 days before a cruise, you are able to move cruises should your plans change. After this period you will not be allowed to amend your booking or change the date. We can look to help sell your tickets on your behalf if you're unable to attend, but The Liquorists accept no liability for this.

One last thing...

***FYI - The Liquorists' cruises are adult only events...strictly no one under 18 is allowed on the boat...Alcohol is served and the language gets a little spicy at times...those of a sensitive disposition YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Although suitable for hen parties, we are not suitable for 'stag do's'... Whilst we booze on a cruise, a 'booze cruise' we are not. A far more gentle and serene affair.... ;)

Q: Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans, allergens or those who are pregnant? A: Yes we do! Each cruise differs in terms of offerings. For dietary requirements, please make us aware where prompted on the booking form.

Q: How do we access the boat? A: 99% of the time, we pick up from Castlefield Bowl, just down the steps from the Castlefield Hotel. You will be emailed on the Monday before your event with pick up confirmation!

Q: Do I need to print my ticket off? A: No. But have them handy on your phone should we ask to see them.

River Cruise on Luxurious Radisson Boat

Equipped with ice-breaking technology, these huge fancy yachts are the only river cruisers running all year around. The round trip journey takes two and a half hours and floats past all the big sights like the White House, Novodevichy monastery and the Kremlin. There’s a large open air observation deck up top, while the main body of the ship houses a restaurant with a dance floor for a romantic post dinner dance. For a particularly romantic experience take one of the evening boats and admire the bright lights of the city skyline at night.

The most relaxing and picturesque tour that Moscow can offer: a great way to see the city center and its main attractions. This is a perfect alternative to exploring the city by car, if you only have time to do sightseeing during weekday rush hours.

Your English-speaking guide is eager to share every bit of their knowledge about the surrounding landscape, the architecture and historical details.

We conduct Moscow river tour on Radisson Flotilla boats all year around!  It’s warm inside during winter months, while there’s air conditioning during hot summer days. You may also treat yourself to drinks, lunch or dinner on board (drinks and food are not included in tour price).
