I've been traveling with the band since 1980 and this was the easiest trip ever for me. I simply had to do nothing but conduct the band! It's hard to believe it's taken me this long to get it right, slow learner! The students and parents have had nothing to say but wonderful things…

Traveling in Italy is to witness its great treasures, but to perform in Italy is to experience the true heart of the country and its people. Our concert in Florence was in a beautiful medieval church, just off the main square, and we played for a packed house that spilled into the orchestra!

Music Travel Consultants Client Camilla M. Stasa

Camilla M. Stasa Director of Participant Relations and Special Projects, MFA/BOA

I have been using Music Travel Consultants since 2004 and have always been pleased with their organization, professionalism and their ‘can do’ attitude. In 2007 while at BOA Grand Nationals our charter jet broke down just before we were to load to fly home Saturday night.  MTC was able to get all 287 of us in a hotel within two hours and set up flights for us the next day. I can’t imagine another agency being able to do that so MTC will always take my group to Indiana!

Music Travel Consultants Client Mark Stone

Mark Stone Director Emeritus, Ayala HS

Orlando 2018 was a wonderful experience for our students, ensembles, and adult travelers! The tour was designed to provide opportunities for each of the four facets of the music department, the group as a whole, and unique opportunities that would set this trip apart. Our Orlando trip, prepared and presented by Music Travel Consultants, was well organized, creative, and presented in person. MTC's online portal for registeration, payments, and organization. Working with the trip details of rooms, bus lists, payments, and trip documents was a tremendous organizational tool and time saver as a director. The team at Music Travel Consultants delivered an outstanding tour of Disney performances and clinic opportunities for our students. The students enjoyed fun at many of the Disney Parks, great accommodations at Flamingo Crossings, and special events including a final ride on Soarin' and the private party at Test Track. All were a hit and success with the students! Most importantly, the knowledge, expertise, and flexibility of the MTC staff in adjusting meal stops and schedules to accommodate the group made the trip. Thank you to our MTC Orlando Team and everyone at Music Travel Consultants!

Music Travel Consultants Client Thad Driskell

Thad Driskell Director of Bands, Jefferson HS

Chris Forsythe and the MTC team were super in dealing with the postponement of the trip due to the pandemic. The staff's professionalism and accessibility was outstanding as they worked with the numerous questions, concerns, itinerary adjustments and personalities of adult travelers. Chris was always concerned with our safety, happiness in the experiences and comfort for both performances and sight-seeing adventures. Mirjam, our guide, was phenomenal in taking charge, accommodating requests and managing needy travelers, all while loving on us as individuals and as a group. She was funny, direct, strong, compassionate and her heart made us fall in love with her as a person. Tonya and the charter bus were great as well. She kept the coach clean, drove on tiny streets and was flexible with her schedule and time to help us as visitors to her country/city. The performance venues and contacts were unbelievable. Each were unique, friendly and acoustically and musically a blessing to perform in. The participation in the mass at the Basilica de Estrella was a special addition to the concert offerings. The large crowds were welcoming and seemed to love our repertoire. The overall tour way exceeded my expectations. The ENTIRE ensemble, guest travelers and staff were nothing but pleased by our trip and tour experience. - Thanks to all involved.

Music Travel Consultants Client Scott Bradford

Scott Bradford Artistic Director, Castlewood Singers

Our experience with Music Travel Consultants was the best travel experience we have had. Music Travel Consultants took care of every detail. The trip was a trip of a lifetime for my students and chaperones. The attention to detail and efficiency was amazing. Everything from the kick-off meeting, attention to our wants and needs, customizing our itinerary, accounting, billing, and especially the customer care was top notch. I can’t wait to take my next MTC trip!

Music Travel Consultants Client Brian Saylor

As director of bands at Stephen F. Austin HS, Texas, I took groups to Carnegie Hall, Midwest Clinic and two Bands of America Grand National educational performance trips. Our trip with Music Travel Consultants was, without question, the best organized and most memorable in my 21 years of teaching. Amazing...

Music Travel Consultants Client Dean Westman

Dean Westman Orchestra Director, Avon HS 3-Time BOA Grand National Champion

In my forty years of teaching high school band I have used three different music travel companies. In my experience, I have found the Music Travel Consultants to be the most professional, most accommodating, and enjoyable company to work with when you are traveling with a large group of students and parents. They are my go to company whenever we begin planning a band trip. I highly recommend this outstanding company.

Music Travel Consultants Client Bill Stultz

Our trip was well received by the staff, students and parents. It was very organized, and it was obvious that a considerable amount of thought was put into the trip. Excellent Job! The Music Travel staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and I thought it was great that they were on the bus with us from the moment we took off until we arrived back home. Music Travel Consultants Client Jason Robb

MTC was the first travel company I worked with to organize our trip to WGI championships and it will be the only one I will continue to use because of their professionalism and personable customer experience. The knowledgeable staff provided me with insights that helped our ensemble have many rewarding trips that left lasting impressions on all of our students. The guide that joined us have always been warm, welcoming, and extremely accommodating for all of our ensemble’s needs. Thank you to all of the team members that assisted us throughout our journey!

Music Travel Consultants friend Scott K. Tanaka

Scott K. Tanaka Director of Percussion, San Marino HS

The attention to details, combined with the technology of cutting-edge travel tools, and topped off with their incredible and caring staff, has long made MTC one of the VERY BEST choices for student music travel in the country. They have always been a national “go to” with bands and orchestras, and for good reason. Now with the addition of Heart of America (HOA) and other upcoming choir events to their roster, MTC has positioned themselves not only as the best in the industry for instrumental ensembles, but for choral ensembles as well. As the creator and (former) owner of Heart of America, I was absolutely thrilled and knew immediately upon meeting Mark and Ryan that HOA would not only survive, but THRIVE with the leadership, vision, technology and staff that MTC brings to the table.

Music Travel Consultants friend Chad Alexander

Chad Alexander Heart of America

Our experience with Music Travel Consultants has always been world class! Every detail is planned and accounted for in a professional manner. This allows our students and families to enjoy the experience and focus on delivering excellent performances when we travel. I would highly recommend MTC to any ensemble considering travel!

Music Travel Consultants friend Alex Rector

Alex Rector Director of Bands, Hardin Valley Academy Band

Taking the band to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl was a once in a lifetime experience and one that the students will remember for the rest of their lives. Performing our halftime show in Mercedes-Benz stadium for the Field Competition, as well as marching the parade and performing in the mass band for the bowl game, was incredibly exciting and something that I will never forget. Using Music Travel to put this trip together was the best decision that we could have made. For every major trip, from here on out, we will be in contact with Emily and Music Travel Consultants to make it happen.

Music Travel Consultants friend Rodney Brown

Rodney Brown West HS, Director of Bands

The entire Music Travel Consultants Team is to be commended for an absolutely wonderful experience for my students. From our initial parent meeting to the last handshake after boarding the bus to go home, Music Travel Consultants worked hard to make our students’ experience the best it could be. MTC’s easy accessibility proved to be invaluable, and throughout the planning process MTC provided guidance, offered helpful suggestions, and made the daunting task of putting a trip like this together much less intimidating. I would recommend Music Travel Consultants to anyone interested in traveling with their school music groups, and I wish them nothing but continued success in the future!

Music Travel Consultants Client Gregg Norris

Gregg Norris Band Director, Sidney Senior HS

We were so glad to use Music Travel for our first trip out of state to WGI in California. Our guide was so very helpful and took a ton of pressure off of me during the trip. Not having to deal with bus transportation, where to go for meals and checking in and out of hotels and airports was invaluable to me since I was already in charge of about 30 people. I wouldn't hesitate to use Music Travel again! Thank you for all the help, organization and attention to details!

Music Travel Consultants friend René Ormae-Jarmer

With this our first time competing at Grand Nationals I wanted the students, staff, and parents to have a world class experience and MTC did that for us.  They handled every detail for us each step of the way. If anyone is thinking of traveling you must consider MTC; you won’t regret it.

MTC has proven to be an invaluable partner in the planning and execution of our educational travel experiences. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and are dedicated to providing the absolute best customer service each step of the way. Quite simply…they get it!

Music Travel Consultants Client Troy Gunter

Troy Gunter Vice President/Director, Conservatory of the Arts

MTC will be my only call when planning student travel in the future. Customer service is one of their greatest attributes. They have gotten our groups out of many travel jams. I don’t know how they do it but, holding a plane at the gate for an hour and a half for our students to make their connection on one trip, to rebooking with a new charter airline only days before takeoff are some amazing things this great group of professionals can do. Their tour directors become someone on our team who meet or exceed the standard of excellence I have within my own band program. I know I don’t need to worry about the details because MTC ensures everything is taken care of.

Music Travel Consultants friend David Lesser

David Lesser Director of Bands, Clovis North HS

It was easy to work with Emily to plan our trip. When she visited the school for parent meetings, she was well spoken and presented Music Travel and the trip well. The tour directors were great. Very helpful and professional. We enjoyed our trip and will use Music Travel again for future tours.

Music Travel Consultants friend Krista Roorbach

Krista Roorbach Heritage Christian School

I can’t begin to explain how refreshing it is, as a band director who has to worry about every last detail, to not have to be concerned with these logistics. We appreciate your staff on every level: design, implementation, working with some of our parents, problem solving, etc. To top it off, you present yourselves to the band each and every day with such positivity and energy. We truly are left to believe that we are the only band you’ve ever worked with! Thank you for the detail and the care – it is not unnoticed! MTC is the real deal

Music Travel Consultants friend Brian Phillips

Peak Performance Tours

Music Travel Trips and Tours

Music travel, the final component to music education.

Delivering music trips that deserve a standing ovationLearning how to hit all the right notes is key in music mastery. However, technical skill isn’t the only thing that turns a student of music into a certified virtuoso. Performance rests at the core of any musical career, and it is crucial for any aspiring instrumentalist to learn how to command a crowd.

Think back to the best musical performances you have ever witnessed; the best play, concerto, or music festival you have ever attended. Why were they particularly memorable compared to others you had seen before? Is it because they had better instruments? Is it because they had a dramatic flair? Is it because the music’s performance was well-orchestrated?

Pushing The Boundaries of Music Travel

Go beyond textbook education.

As musical directors, you have various options to enrich your   music travel program : enlist your students in an awesome parade or simply take them on a unique learning experience with a world-renowned musician. Peak Performance gives you the opportunity to create a well-rounded musical performance that will bolster anything they learn in the academy.

Take your students out of the studio and into the real world. An unlimited number of musical recitals is no match to performing live to a crowd for the very first time. Music travel can either be performative or educational in nature.

More Than Just Skill

The ability to engage a crowd and captivate them is a much better trait than sheer instrumental proficiency. Technical skill can only take your students so far. Having the experience of wowing a festival crowd or being a part of a massive Thanksgiving parade will help develop skills that aren’t learned in the classroom.Performance trips are a fantastic way to develop a sense of professionalism in your students. Here they will learn how to socialize with other performers and impress under pressure. It’s never too early to have your students join the big leagues.

The Benefits Of Musical Travel

The Benefits Of Musical Travel

On top of hands-on student training, musical directors are often responsible for booking band trips, choir trips, and other musical performances within the country and around the world. But it’s not always easy. As a band director, you have most likely experienced at least one of the following:

  • Burnout from juggling too many responsibilities
  • Uncertainty about a specific location, event, or competition
  • Not knowing where to start with the logistics of booking your students
  • Difficulty finding the right balance between quality and budget
  • Unfamiliarity with certain musical cultures

Peak Performance is here to ease some stress off your shoulders and deliver music travel solutions that are fine-tuned for your students. Experience a hassle-free alternative to educational performing.

  • Create memorable experiences for your students
  • Reach new locations, both locally and internationally
  • Unique opportunity for traveling with peers
  • Travel the country and world meeting fellow musicians
  • Performance opportunities in the most coveted destinations and events
  • Meet and greet legendary musicians

How Students Can Benefit From Music Travel

Playing for their peers can make your students complacent. So what better way to encourage your students to play their hearts out than by giving them a tough crowd? Music travel serves as a great incentive to your proteges. Giving them a taste of world-class performance will make them want to step up their music skill.

How Students Can Benefit From Music Travel

Variety is key to dynamic learning. In-between lectures and recitals, take your students out on a music travel education program. Make music history and theory more exciting by allowing them to have in-person access to key museums, festivals, and events around the world. Seeing the international music industry outside the academic lens is key to shaping their career as performers .

The Ultimate Road Trip Playlist According to Travelers, Editors, and Spotify

This year has been nothing short of a whirlwind. As we wrap up the year, international travel is still a no go, and flying in general seems like a bit of a risky proposition. As a result, the humble road trip has roared back on our collective radar as many of us have been taking to the road as a way to get out of the house and explore our surroundings near and far.

When we began discussing road trips on zoom calls and in Slack channels, the one thing that everyone could agree on was that music was essential. A good soundtrack can mean the difference between the hours flying by as fast as the scenery out the window or turning around before you reach your destination.

So what makes a great road trip playlist? It starts with the songs, but with so many incredible choices out there, it’s hard to whittle down to something that stands up to the test of time. However, we had an idea.

To make the perfect road trip playlist, we used three components. First, we looked at Spotify data to identify the most popular songs for driving, according to the top 100 road trip playlists. Next, we surveyed our TripSavvy readers to get their take. After that, our editors weighed in on their favorite songs. In the end, we were left with 29 carefully curated high-vibe songs that create the ultimate travel music of 2020.

Here are the top road trip songs. For the best listening experience, try playing them in order. Enjoy!

Country music is just “three chords and the truth,” according to songwriter Harlan Howard. While music has become more complex in the decades since his claim, today’s hits still provide a snapshot of real life. Perhaps that’s why country music has remained popular for generations: lyrics mirror local culture and help us connect with the artist.

These are all classics for sure when you’re talking about a road trip. My favorite would be Sammy Hagar “I Can’t Drive 55”. Something about that cool flow that makes it perfect for a summer road trip. But I would not follow the advice because I wish not to get pulled over crossing the country LOL.

Thank you so much for putting out this list of road trips and songs!!

TIPS & TRICKS FOR MUSIC TOURS

What are the best destinations for music lovers?

What cities have the best music scene?

What are the most unusual musical instruments around the world?

Ireland Irish Folk dance

Many mad music fans will make the pilgrimage to different cities seeking out music history or their idols. Feel jazz on the streets of New Orleans, look for underground gigs in New York, and drop into any pub in Ireland for toe-tapping in time.

A view of Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna by night

It’s hard to beat the big cities that never sleep – like Paris, London, New York – for their non-stop music scene. More niche tastes might like to take music holidays to Vienna for classical concerts, Memphis for the blues, and Berlin for dance music.

Alphorn

Ever hear of a stylophone or pikasso guitar? There are some really, really weird and cool musical instruments out there, plus traditional folk instruments you may not have seen before. When you take a music trip, you’ll discover more around the world.

A first timer’s guide to Prince Edward Island

May 25, 2024 • 8 min read

music trip

Experience a colorful slice of island life on your first visit to Prince Edward Island © Peter Unger / Getty Images

Long sandy beaches backed with red cliffs. Freshly caught lobster, oysters and clams. Toe-tapping music at lively kitchen parties or local pubs. And plenty of outdoor adventures, from cycling to kayaking to hiking. In the Gulf of St Lawrence, on Canada’s eastern shores,  Prince Edward Island  (PEI) may be the country’s smallest province, but there’s plenty to see and do.

Besides its natural setting, PEI’s other claim to fame is a series of early 20th-century novels about a feisty red-haired girl. Lucy Maud Montgomery set the Anne of Green Gables books around her PEI hometown of Cavendish, and several island attractions can tell you more about the noted author and the beloved Canadian character she created.

You can visit Prince Edward Island as part of an Atlantic Canada road trip – the nearly 13km-long (8-mile) Confederation Bridge connects PEI to the mainland – or come for a peaceful beach escape. Bring your bathing suit and your appetite too. PEI’s nickname is “Canada’s food island.”

Here's all you need to know to plan your first trip to Prince Edward Island.

A row of shops with colorfully painted storefronts set on a slight incline

When should I go to Prince Edward Island?

PEI shines under the summer sun, its short peak season running from late June into September. The weather is typically warm, with temperatures hovering around 20–25ºC (70–80ºF), prime time for beach-going, hiking and picnicking. With cooler mornings and evenings, the weather stays temperate into October, as the leaves take on their autumn reds and golds. Fall brings food fests too, including the  Fall Flavours Festival and the  PEI International Shellfish Festival .

Many island businesses are seasonal, opening in May or June and closing in September or by the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend in October. Prices are typically somewhat lower in the shoulder months of May, June, September and October. Expect more rain and varied temperatures in both fall and spring, although you might have mild, sunny days too, which are good for hiking, bicycling and island exploring.

The Atlantic hurricane season officially runs from June to November, although the worst storms have previously hit the maritime provinces in the fall. Expect snow anytime between November and April, with fierce winter winds making the temperatures feel much colder than the average ranges of -11ºC to -3ºC (11–26ºF).

Planning a longer trip?  These are the best times to visit Canada

How much time should I spend on Prince Edward Island?

If you have a long weekend, start in Charlottetown , exploring the province’s historic capital, and learn about its role as the “the birthplace of Confederation,” creating the union that would become the country of Canada. Have a drink overlooking the waterfront, then grab a bite from one of the vendors in  Founders Food Hall . Your next stop is Cavendish on the island’s north shore, where several sights tell you about the Anne of Green Gables story. Then explore the beaches of  Prince Edward Island National Park , perhaps taking a hike through the Greenwich dunes before dinner at  Dalvay by the Sea , a historic summer home turned inn. The next day, go kayaking or cycling. Dig into a traditional lobster supper, ending your trip with music in a local pub.

To explore more of the island, plan a one-week road trip. After your time in Charlottetown, Cavendish and the national park, drive west for an Indigenous cultural experience on  Lennox Island , a Mi’kmaq community. Circle the island’s west side, sampling the spuds at the  Canadian Potato Museum , stopping for a lunchtime concert at the Stompin’ Tom Centre  and spending the night in the West Point Lighthouse . Returning to Charlottetown, stop off in the village of Victoria by the Sea for a lobster roll or freshly steamed mussels. If you have more time, continue east to Souris for a cruise on a lobster boat.

A long, narrow road bridge runs from the shoreline across the sea and stretches into the distance beyond the horizon

How do I get to Prince Edward Island?

You can fly non-stop to  Charlottetown Airport (YYG) from Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa year round, and seasonally from Calgary and smaller Canadian cities. For more flight options, consider jetting into Nova Scotia’s  Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ), which has non-stop flights to additional Canadian, US and European cities. It’s a three-hour drive or bus trip from Halifax airport to PEI over the Confederation Bridge.  Maritime Bus can take you to Charlottetown from Halifax airport or from other destinations in Nova Scotia and neighboring New Brunswick.

Although PEI has no train service, Canada’s national rail carrier, Via Rail , can bring you from Montreal or Quebec City to Halifax or to Moncton, New Brunswick. From there, take the bus or rent a car to continue to the island.

How do I get around Prince Edward Island?

In compact, walkable Charlottetown, most attractions are along the waterfront or in the historic center.  T3 Transit , the island’s public transit service, runs buses to Charlottetown Airport and around the city. T3 Transit’s rural routes provide limited service between Charlottetown and other island destinations. While services are infrequent, the fares are fantastic value – only C$2 to travel anywhere on the island – if you can align your travels with the bus schedule.

PEI is relatively flat, making it a good destination for cyclists. Following the route of a decommissioned rail line, the  Confederation Trail runs 273km (170 miles) through the island center, and you can also cycle the Island Walk, which takes you primarily on less-busy roads.

A sloping boardwalk leads down to a sandy beach, where many people are relaxing on the shorefront and swimming in the sea

Top things to do on Prince Edward Island

Go to the beach.

PEI has dozens of them. Some of the best stretches of sand are along the north shore in Prince Edward Island National Park, but there are sandy beaches around the island.

Dive into a novel

Learn the story of Anne of Green Gables , one of Canada’s most beloved fictional characters, and her creator Lucy Maud Montgomery at sights like  Green Gables Heritage Place or Anne of Green Gables Museum .

Catch your dinner with a fiddling fisherman

JJ Chaisson is a lobster fisher and musician. Along with his wife Julie, he runs  The Fiddling Fisherman , taking guests out on their family fishing boat for a lobster dinner, accompanied by music from Chaisson’s fiddle.

Learn about Indigenous culture

Take a food, music or art workshop in the First Nations community of Lennox Island. You might learn to bake bannock – a biscuit-like bread – over an open fire, get an introduction to traditional quill work, or craft your own moose-hide drum.

Clap along at a ceilidh

Drawing on Irish, Scottish and maritime traditions, a ceilidh (pronounced KAY-lee) is part concert and part kitchen party, blending lively fiddle music, singing, dancing and storytelling. These musical events take place in pubs, community halls and concert venues across Prince Edward Island.

My favorite thing to do on Prince Edward Island

My favorite thing to do on PEI is walk, following sections of the  Island Walk , a 700km (435-mile) route around the entire isle. Modeled after Spain’s Camino de Santiago (though without a pilgrimage history), the Island Walk has 32 sections of 20–25km (12–15 miles) each, which take you along PEI’s sandy beaches and into its forests, above its red cliffs and through its small towns. You can walk for a day, a week, or more, listening to the splash of the surf, the chirps of the birds and the quiet sounds of island life.

If you’d like help planning an extended walk, contact  Go for a Walk: Island Walk Coordination Service and  Outer Limit Sports , local outfits who can organize a walking itinerary, provide luggage transfer services and arrange accommodations. You can cycle the Island Walk, too. MacQueen’s Bike Shop  in Charlottetown rents bicycles and provides trip-planning services for cyclists.

How much money do I need for Prince Edward Island?

While PEI isn’t as pricey as major Canadian cities like Vancouver or Toronto, it’s not inexpensive either, especially during the summer high season. The island has only a few budget lodgings, with dorm beds starting at C$50 and basic doubles around C$120. Many traditional inns and B&Bs fall into the midrange, beginning around C$150 per night. If you’re watching your loonies, consider a cottage or motel room with a kitchen where you can prepare some of your own meals.

Take public transit if you can. T3 Transit fares for adults are only C$2 a ride, whether you’re traveling within the capital or across the island, and kids ride free. Neither Uber nor Lyft currently operate on PEI, but  Kari , a local rideshare company, provides service, primarily in the Charlottetown area. Depending on the season, car rentals in Charlottetown range from C$50 to over C$100 per day.

Some sample food and drink prices around PEI:

  • Coffee: C$3–4
  • Craft beer in an island taproom: C$8–10
  • Pound of PEI mussels: C$14–18
  • Lobster roll: C$27 and up
  • Traditional lobster supper:  C$50–60 per person

Many seafood restaurants give you a bib to wear if you’ve ordered a whole lobster. Don’t be shy – tie it on to protect your clothes. Eating a lobster can be a messy business.

Pack layers and rain gear

While the weather is generally temperate from spring through fall, it can get breezy and cool by the shore or in the evening and it can rain at any time. Keep a light jacket or sweater in your day pack. PEI winters are cold, damp and often snowy. Not only do you need warm jackets, hats, gloves and boots, but be prepared for winter travel conditions, including snow-covered roads and high winds.

It’s colder on the water

If you’re heading out on a lobster boat or other cruise, remember that it’s chillier on the water, even in summer. Bring a jacket or clothes you can layer.

“Ask an Islander”

If you want to know more about Prince Edward Island or have a question while planning your trip, “Ask an Islander.” On the website of  Tourism PEI , the provincial tourism organization, you can post a question and a local resident will answer your query.

Carrie Underwood Appears to Trip Leaving the Stage After Performing in Heavy Rain

Carrie Underwood Seemingly Falls Offstage at Rainy South Carolina Concert

Carrie Underwood proved she’ll bring her A game on-stage rain or shine.

The singer, 41, headlined the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Sunday, June 9, alongside artists including Morgan Wallen and Old Dominion. Toward the end of her show, rain began pouring down on the crowd.

While closing out the performance, Underwood thanked her fans and waved to the audience. As she turned to exit the stage, Underwood began walking down stairs — and seemingly took a tumble, per footage obtained by TMZ .

“She fell!” a concertgoer exclaimed in the clip.

While Underwood didn’t acknowledge the fall, she did refer to the rainy weather in her social media posts.

“We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either! 🎥: @jeffjohnsonimages @ccmflive #MyrtleBeach,” Underwood wrote via Instagram on Sunday alongside a clip of the soaked performance.

In another upload , Underwood added, “Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget! 🌧️💧☔️ Thanks for being awesome, #MyrtleBeach !!! @ccmflive 📸: @jeffjohnsonimages.”

Underwood’s performance on Sunday comes amid her stint in Sin City , performing Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency.

“From a production standpoint, we can do something that we can’t necessarily do when we’re packing up all our gear and going from place to place,” Underwood told Rolling Stone in October 2022. “From a switching-things-up perspective, when you’re on the road, you’re in different towns, and all the people in the audience are from that general area of the world.”

She continued, “What I love about Vegas is you’re in one place, but everybody is from everywhere. It’s a mishmash of people from all over the place. It’s cool to look out at the audience and think about that.”

Following her first round of shows in Vegas, Underwood announced the addition of more shows through October.

“To quote the song, Christmas is my ‘Favorite Time of Year,’ so it’s a lot of fun to get to perform some of my favorite holiday songs during our December shows — some of them for the first time live,” Underwood said in a December 2023 press release. “I’m thrilled to be announcing six more shows in October 2024, and can’t wait to be back on the Resorts World Theatre stage next year.”

American Idol's Will Moseley Has Fishing Trip Planned With Luke Bryan

Season 22 runner-up Will Moseley has nothing but love for the American Idol judges.

"Everyone always wants to know, ‘Who was the coolest judge? Who was this? Who was that?' They're all so great in their own unique way," Moseley, 23, exclusively told Us Weekly at CMA Fest on Saturday, June 8. "Me and Luke [Bryan] have a fishing trip planned out that we haven't cashed in on yet."

Moseley noted that Lionel Richie was "super cool," adding, "He made sure that I knew that if I ever needed anything, he was a phone call away. If there was any advice or anything in general, that he would be there."

Katy Perry "was the same way," according to Moseley. Even with Perry's career ramping up after her exit from the reality singing competition, Moseley planned to keep in touch with her.

'American Idol' Judges Through the Years and Why They Left

"She's going on tour. She's gonna start playing more shows," he said. "And I said, ‘Katy, I would love to come to one of your shows.' And she said, ‘Anytime you see that we're gonna be close by, let us know. We'll get you in.'"

Moseley said he's looking forward to future endeavors with the judges. "Each one of them had their own thing, and they're so supportive in their own unique ways," he said. "And I'm excited to see kind of how we work with all three of them in the future."

While on American Idol, he had the opportunity to meet Jelly Roll - and Moseley is still starstruck from the pinch-me moment.

"On the show when I first met Jelly Roll, when I told him who I was, he was like, ‘Oh man, I've heard your name,'" he said. "And that to me was huge. I was like, ‘Nah, man, you don't have to lie to me.' And he's like, ‘No, I'm serious. Like, I've heard your name.'"

'American Idol' Winners: Where Are Fantasia Barrino and More Now?

He continued, "That was a super cool moment to just think that someone as big as Jelly Roll had already been introduced to what I had going on."

While interacting with stars has been a plus, Moseley added that he's been enjoying meeting his fans, too.

"People pick me out of crowds," he said. "It's been a really cool experience just to get people recognizing me and all of the attention that comes with that. And it's been so cool to just get to meet all of these people who have voted all this time."

Moseley noted that there would be 15-20 million votes sent in, which he associated with "a wave of people." But to "shake the hands of each one of those people who were like, ‘Hey, every week I sent in my 30 votes for you,'" meant "so much" to him.

Biggest 'American Idol' Scandals and Controversies Through the Years

Back home in Georgia, Moseley said the people he's been sitting next to at restaurants his "whole life" are now wanting autographs, pictures and asking about his upcoming plans.

"It's the people I grew up around and spent my whole life with, and now they look at me as [if] I'm something special," he said. "It's cool and it's a little bit weird at the same time. I'm like, ‘Look, I'm still Will, I'm the same guy you've known this whole time.'"

Following his stint on American Idol , Moseley opened up for Zac Brown Band - and he's ready to keep the good vibes going.

"I wanna keep releasing music and just keep the ball rolling," he said.

'Teen Mom' Star Amber Portwood Reports New Fiancé Missing, Police Investigating

Carrie underwood falls off stage on tail end of south carolina concert, carrie underwood falls off stage at s.c. concert ... after rain-filled finale.

Carrie Underwood capped off her concert this weekend by belting out tunes in the rain -- but there was an even more dramatic finish as she was exiting the stage ... 'cause she fell.

The singer was the headlining performance Sunday night at the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach -- where she put on one helluva show that ended up getting highlighted by the fact there was a downpour that seemed to come out of nowhere toward the end.

As much of a spectacle as that was ... there was something else that caught fans' attention as Carrie was making her way offstage -- and that would be her going down, seemingly hard. Even crazier is the fact that it was caught on video ... and we got a hold of the footage.

Check it out ... it's a bit of a subtle moment, but if you look closely, you'll see Carrie take a bit of a tumble -- or at the very least, an awkward stumble -- as she starts to descend some stairs toward the back end of the stage.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

In a flash, it almost looks like Carrie drops through a hole back there ... either way, her disappearance off the stage doesn't look all that natural -- and something clearly went wrong.

You can even hear people in the crowd scream out that she fell ... so folks certainly noticed.

Now, it appears Carrie addressed the fall -- she posted some photos from her gig this weekend ... and touched on something going awry at the end ... although it's a little cryptic.

She writes, "Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget!" CU attached some emojis touching on rain and weather -- but it's possible she might be quietly referring to the fall at the end.

Either way, she seems to be okay -- which is all that matters. We've reached out to her rep for clarification ... so far, no word back.
