Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is in the UK, so here’s what to wear to the concert

Got Eras tour outfits on your mind? We don't blame you. After kicking off the European leg of her sell-out, record-breaking, earthquake -inducing Eras Tour earlier this Spring, Taylor Swift arrived in the UK on June 7. ICYMI, she's here 'til she wraps up in London on August 20th. Swifties, are you ready for it ? And more importantly, what are we all wearing?

It's not as though we've had little time to prepare. Taylor's first The Eras Tour concert was held in March last year (!), but as is the case with holiday packing and festival outfit selection, we've left it to the last minute.

Choice is abundant, of course. Particularly if you’re hoping to ditch the merch and curate an outfit inspired by your favourite Era. From the classics on Fearless – here's hoping we see a Love Story proposal – to all The Tortured Poet's Department songs, yes all 31 of them, every era is covered on Taylor’s killer set list . As such, which one to choose – and the best accompanying Eras Tour outfit – remains hot topic in the GLAMOUR office.

Speak Now girlies (Taylor's version, ofc.): look towards lilac rhinestones, beading and frills – bonus points for butterflies in undone hair – while those taking inspo from the Fearless era should consider tassels and knee-high boots. Elsewhere, shop a boho maxi dress and cardigan combo if you’re going after Folkore.

If you're a 1989 fan, baby blue is the colour of the moment – paired with denim and a cowboy hat – and you can put a grown-up spin on the Red era with a Reformation crop top you’re sure to wear throughout the summer.

The first section of the tour is Lover – an era which is signified by growth and comfort – and which sees Taylor kick things off in an iridescent purple custom Versace bodysuit . She pairs it with fishnet tights, a purple mic, and an equally glitzy pair of  custom, studded Louboutin boots .

This sequin-adorned co-ord from ASOS has Lover written all over it – not least because it does all the talking for you. The sequin boots are totally optional (I found some on ASOS Marketplace , if you're on board), but all you really need to finish the look is a pair of heart-shaped sunnies and Too Faced's That's My Jam eyeshadow palette . Alongside the the winged liner and red lippie , it'll help you achieve a sweet, Taylor-approved makeup look.

2. Fearless

Fearless is, potentially, my favourite era – one where Taylor keeps hold of the sparkly boots but switches the bodysuit for a shimmery, metallic dress. Fringing is a huge theme across all of her eras, but it's the star of the show in her Fearless custom Roberto Cavalli dress – later traded for another fringed dress, but in silver.

ASOS Design's chain fringe belt will help you recreate the look without having to invest in a sequin fringed dress that you'll likely never wear again. Best worn over a white ruffle mini skirt – that you'll definitely be able to pair with bikinis on a summer holiday later this season. A sequin cami top would act as the perfect take on Taylor's Cavalli number, while a pair of gold cowboy boots nod to the era that cemented Taylor as a global superstar and style icon.

This one's easy. If the era of 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble is your favourite – the one in which Taylor revisits the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video, and later, another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever," – then a slogan tee or head-to-toe red is the vibe.

Etsy stocks a variety of Taylor Swift lyric T-shirts, while Taylor's-adored Reformation stocks a bardot knit red top which would absolutely be reworn with jeans throughout the summer. Red lipstick is a must with this Eras Tour outfit.

4. Speak Now

Taylor sings one singular song from the Speak Now era in her tour, much-adored Enchanted – and to do so, she has worn a bespoke Nicole + Felicia Couture gown , a Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown , an Ellie Saab Fall 2020 gown, and a gown also by Saab from the 2022 AW collection. All of which a resurgence, in many ways, of the Valentino gown she wore to sing the same song on her Speak Now tour.

Of course, similar levels of glitz might be a tad overboard for attending the concert yourself (no judgement, though) – so opting for purple, as well as butterfly motifs, is a good way to bring her iconic tulle cover to life. ASOS Design's frill mini dress plays into Gen-Z's current adoration of cottagecore , while the clip-in butterflies and More To Come's butterfly top add a playful injection to your Eras Tour outfit.

5. Reputation

Moody, grungy and dark is the vibe for Reputation girlies, and we're convinced this sequin mini dress by Topshop at ASOS is the perfect outfit from which to scream ‘ Don't Blame Me ,’ ‘ Delicate ,’ and ‘ Look What You Made Me Do ’ from the top of your lungs.

You'd be taking inspo from Taylor's own Reputation costume if you invest: she brings fierce energy in an asymmetrical black Roberto Cavalli bodysuit during this segment of the tour. Once again, adorned in sparkles.

6. Folkmore (“Folklore” and “Evermore” combined)

Beautiful boho vibes are the name of the game for those looking for Folkmore-inspired outfit ideas, with milkmaid dresses your best option for mirroring the muted  purple Alberta Ferretti and Alberta Ferretti dresses Taylor wears for this section of the show. Think: fairytale, rustic and whimsical. Comfort is key, obvs, so pair your boho Motel Jati dress with a pair of Gigi Hadid -approved Adidas Gazelles.

Roberto Cavalli is, once again, behind the sequin two-piece that Taylor wears for the era of Blank Space , Shake It Off and Wildest Dreams . But while Taylor opts for magenta or bright green chunky fringe and sequins, we're convinced that taking inspiration from the New York views, girl squad hangouts and seagulls that depicted 1989 is the best route to go down with your outfit.

H&M's strap detail top would look epic paired with white jeans or denim shorts and cowgirl boots – and this cute fur-trimmed cowgirl hat can definitely be reworn at all those hen parties throughout the summer. Throw an open linen shirt over your Eras Tour outfit to fight the British weather.

Released on April 19, 2024, The Tortured Poets Department is the eleventh studio album by Taylor – and her latest. When it dropped earlier this year, it not only set new Spotify streaming records, but resurfaced Kardashian drama and kickstarted a new era for us to gain outfit inspo from.

On #SwiftTok, the TTPD aesthetic has been compared to everything from "greyscale clean girl" to “prep school dropout”, but the easiest – and most in-keeping – ways to mirror the vibe are by following “ office siren ” or “ dark academia ” aesthetics. Think: rose motifs, sleek blazers, tailored trousers, unbuttoned shirts and monochrome. Or, keep it simple with black jeans and this ”But Daddy, I Love Him" tee from Etsy.

9. Midnights

For the last – but not least – era on our outfit tour: Midnights. And in navy blue sequins, you'll look like you've stepped right out of Taylor's age of extravagance and reflection. Being in your Midnights era, after all, is thinking back to past versions of yourself (and wondering whether that's still you). You need to look bejewelled.

Taylor wears a custom Oscar De La Renta gown for this part of her tour, loose-fitting and studded in iridescent crystals – paired with a fur coat, also custom by Oscar De La Renta. She sheds layers as the era progresses, finally revealing a custom Oscar De La Renta bodysuit to perform Vigilante Sh*t . Topshop's navy disco sequin dress is reminiscent of Taylor's look, best paired with hair gems and silver accessories – like this epic shoulder bag from Pull & Bear.

What 200 Swifties Wore to an Eras Show

Sometimes, a place that draws a specific kind of crowd — from a sample sale to an office lunch spot — can yield a wealth of shopping intel. What are these like-minded people all into right now? What sneakers are they wearing? What is that pants brand? For the inaugural edition of People Watching, we posted up at Penn Station ahead of Taylor Swift’s first Eras tour show at MetLife Stadium.

Wherever Taylor Swift’s Eras tour goes, a flurry of sequins follows. But what color sequins? And for which era? And what about all the cowboy boots? The tour made a three-night stop in town during Memorial Day weekend, so on Friday, May 26, I headed to Penn Station, hoping to glean some insight from the crush of concertgoers commuting to MetLife Stadium via NJ Transit. The show’s official start time was 6:30 p.m., so I arrived at the atrium at 4 and lingered among Swifties excitedly checking their phones and outfits, chatting with many of them about their knee-high cowboy boots, Shein crop tops, and the Advil and hair ties stuffed into their clear stadium bags. Here’s what I learned.

The unofficial Eras tour uniform is, obviously, a fun dress + cowboy boots

The combination leaves lots of room for interpretation, depending on which era they wanted to rep. Concertgoers went Fearless glam in fringed flapper dresses; Reputation edgy in tight leather; Lover romantic in puffy organza; and Folklore cottagecore in corseted Renaissance looks. This dreamy Selkie number I saw someone wearing was definitely a nod to Lover .

Final sequins + sparkles count: 67

From sequined dresses to shimmery eye shadow, pretty much every Swiftie was sporting some sort of sparkle. I counted nearly 70 people wearing rhinestones, sequins, or glitter, and I probably missed a lot more. “My friend who went to the Atlanta concert told me she felt left out because she didn’t have sparkles on, so she told me to make sure my outfit had them,” said one fan. These emerald sequined shorts worn by another were a reference to Swift’s serpentine Reputation era.

Final rainbow count: 11

Most memorable was this rainbow-fringe jacket that can pull double duty for Pride.

Final cowboy-boot count: 34

I saw several people wearing this tall white pair.

Though fans with floor tickets were wearing sneakers

Among those planning to fight their way to the front pit, white sneakers overwhelmingly won out. “Nah, nah to the cowboy boots,” said one fan. “We’re about to go into battle. Sneakers only.” I noticed both Nike AF1s and Vejas in the crowd.

I saw two people in this Shein top

It comes in 12 colors, but both had it in hot pink.

Colorful jumpsuits abounded

Especially in shades of pink and purple. Someone wearing a lilac Big Bud Press jumpsuit immediately caught my eye, since I own the same one.

Finishing touches included hats and lots of butterflies …

I saw a lot of cowboy hats with what I’ll call a “fun flair,” like this pink one with feathers — and it comes with heart sunglasses, another staple in the crowd. There were also lots of classic black fedoras from the Red era and countless butterfly clips and accessories (a recurring motif for Swift ).

… plus full sleeves of DIY friendship bracelets

Many fans bought bead kits online and crafted bracelets in the weeks before the show. A sampling of what I saw: “GAYLOR,” “WOULDA COULDA SHOULDA,” “KARMA IS A GOD,” “SCREAMING CRYING,” “SPEAK NOW (TV),” “OUR SONG,” “NYC ERA,” “I’M ON SOME NEW SHIT,” “BETTER THAN REVENGE,” “SUPERSTAR,” “BAD BLOOD,” “F JOHN MAYER,” “F’D IN THE HEAD,” “BITCH NOT A BALLER,” “CHECKMATE,” “SEXY BABY.”

Lover was the most represented album …

“I feel like the Lover era is the easiest to re-create with things you already have, because it’s just bright colors and sequins,” one person told me. Another paired rhinestone tights with this simple Lover necklace.

… closely followed by Midnights

“I went for a little celestial moment,” said one fan about her blue velvet top and moon-and-star accessories.

The best clear bags had a chain strap

I saw dozens of people carrying this one, which looks more like a purse but aligns with clear-bags-only stadium guidelines. Clear backpacks and cross-bodies were also very well represented (fanny packs less so).

In their clear bags, people were bringing:

Male Swifties wore pastel button-downs

Lots of pink, lavender, and sky blue, paired with white shorts or overalls.

Dillydalliers had to settle for whatever would ship quickly from Amazon

Multiple people I talked to ended up scrambling because the products they ordered didn’t arrive in time for the concert, or they just procrastinated too long, so they had to grab something last minute, like this generic lyric shirt.

I saw a lot of “ Not a Lot Going on at the Moment ” shirts

It was an ironic pronouncement for one fan, who recently had a baby.

Speak Now was Swift’s third studio album, and it is entirely self-written. The emotional album is known for its purple colour palette, and inspiration can be taken from many different areas.

The Red era was, no surprise, full of the colour red. This is the era of All Too Well , red scarves, maple lattes and broken hearts. Swift entered quite a graphic aesthetic during this time, think of the 22 music video, for example. She also tended towards a lot of 1950s style fit-and-flare dresses.

Her hair was mostly straight in this era, and she always wore a red lip.

It's been a long time coming but.... it's been a crazy few years for miss Taylor Swift. She's dropped hint after hint, easter egg after easter egg, song after song, music video after music video!! She's truly a great entertainer and artist, and genuinely one of my favorite musicians to fangirl over.

I got tickets to Taylor Swift's Era's tour, and am trying to decide what era I should go as. . I can't wait to see what Taylor Swift's concert outfits are for this tour!

What do I wear to a Taylor Swift concert? Especially to the Eras tour?

Attendees are planning to wear outfits inspired by their favorite Taylor Swift era. There are ten eras total: Taylor Swift (Self-Titled), Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. Each era has its own vibe, color aesthetic, and specific pieces Taylor wore during those periods. For example, Reputation is an absolute classic, with snake print, black leather, and tons of sass. Or maybe the Red era? I mean, that one IS my favorite Taylor Swift album. Come as a sad autumn girl with a red scarf, black high-waisted shorts and oxfords— that's definitely a vibe.

But as I was thinking through this, I thought maybe I could make mood boards and help others find the perfect Taylor Swift outfits from amazon to wear to Taylor Swift's concert on her The Eras Tour! I assure you, while putting this list together, with each era I worked on I listened to the album ;) Guaranteed inspiration!

Because of each stadium's bag policy, concert-goers need to bring a clear see-through bag to the venue. Here are a few realyl cute ones I've found. The first is pretty simple, but you can find clear bags that are really stylized to fit your eras tour outfit!

I'm also seeing a lot of people at Taylor Swift's concerts wearing body glitter and hair gems! Here are some options online that are great for doing glitzy hair and makeup the day of the Eras tour concert. The hair gem style has been SUPER popular, and you'll find a lot of other gals at the tour that are rocking similar!

The Tortured poets Department (TTPD) Era

Taylor wears a pink/lavender sparkly dress with a fun faux-fur lavender coat. You can find a super sparkly dress and add a lavender faux fur coat, and look just like Taylor!

She's reinvented her own RED era look with a shirt that instead of saying "Not a lot going on at the moment" it says "A LOT going on at the moment"! I've found a shirt that says exactly that new phrase on Amazon. Taylor also pairs it with a pair of sparkly black bottoms and a black hat.

Arguably the best Taylor Swift album, hands down. RED is my personal favorite from her discography, mostly because this is the era where I because a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, rather than just a casual listener. All of the raw pain and anguish in this album make this era (and the TV era!) probably what I'm going to choose for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour!

This era probably has some of the most iconic fashion moments of Taylor Swift's career. The Taylor Swift red tour outfits were amazing. The "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" and "22" looks just scream 2012! Now ten years later in 2022, this style is still just as amazing and showstoppping... and iconically RED . Try to find a good striped shirt and some tailored high waisted shorts, and add a pair of red Keds to complete the look!

Be sure to wear plenty of sequins, shiny fabrics, and two-piece outfits for a true 1989 era look from Taylor Swift! Add on the quintessential white rayon-type sunglasses to look like a true 1989 fan.

One of these outfits is a callback to Taylor's look at the 2016 Grammy Awards. I think it's such a unique outfit to wear to the Era's tour, because it's not exactly a "era" look, but something SO iconic from that era! Makeup for your Lover eras tour outfit

If you're wanting to dress up as Taylor's Lover era, it's a sweet detail to do the heart shape makeup over her eye like she does on her album cover! In order to do that, you'll need two main items: liquid latex and skin-safe pink glitter. You can find them here:

I've used the liquid latex above before and it works really well. All you'll need to do is outline the heart around your eye with the liquid latex, wait for it to get tacky, and then apply the pink glitter!

Folklore Era

If you aren't the sparkly-dress Taylor Swift fan, and want to be a sad cottage-core girl, here is your chance! This album screams alone-in-the-woods-and-in-the-feels.

Am I crazy to say that Evermore is one of my favorite TSwift albums? It's definitely the most forgotten one, but WOW does it have some bops, both sad and lovely.

This era was so short-lived, but it gave us some beautiful looks! An easy go-to would be the brown/orange plaid jacket from Evermore. (I've linked on similar) Also, the Willow music video is a huge inspiration for these, and other Swifties will know exactly what you're going for!

Midnights only came out a few weeks ago while I'm writing this, so I'm still reeling from this album release! I know from the second I hear "Anti-Hero" that it would be an instant classic.

When it comes to the looks from Midnights era, they span from glitzy blue midnight dresses and plenty of sparkles, mixed with vintage looks that evoke a sense of 70s retro. Combining these all together will be the ultimate Midnights tour outfit!

The Taylor Swift Midnights vibe: Honestly, Taylor's Midnights aesthetic is all over the place, but can be boiled down to: 70s vintage, starry night, retro, oranges, blues, lavender, clocks, and anything, and I mean anything that is bejeweled.

Inspired by her 70's glam looks in much of the material for the release of her album midnights, you can don some burnt orange and corduroy and fit in well! The top and fur jacket look similar to the starry dress Taylor wore out when she was promoting "Midnights". For a more casual "Midnights" look, you can wear this sheer celestial top as well. If you plan on attending Taylor Swift’s, The Eras Tour, this post is for you. One of the most fun parts about seeing Taylor Swift live and perform for 3.5 hours, is that the entire audience is also on theme.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a concert before that was quite like this. Not only was this one of the best concerts I have ever been to, but everyone, and I mean everyone, was dressed up in their favorite Taylor Swift era. Whether you were an OG Swiftie and have been listening since her debut album, or you’re more of a newbie like me who came around in her pop era, 1989, you can dress however you like for this epic concert.

To get you excited for your upcoming Eras Tour experience, here are some great Taylor Swift Eras Tour outfit ideas for each era. From iconic looks from Taylor’s albums, music videos, to tour outfits, these are sure to get you in the mood to sing and dance your heart out for 3.5 hours. Oh and yes make the friendship bracelets and share them with your new Eras Tour friends you meet along the way.

Debut Era Outfit Ideas

While The Eras Tour does not cover any songs from Taylor Swift’s self titled album that she released in 2006, you can still represent your favorite album with some of these fun pieces. Tim McGraw, Teardrops On My Guitar and Should’ve Said No are a few favorites from this country album.

Embrace the country vibes and wear fun cowboy boots, and a nod to the teal dress she wore to perform, and butterflies on the album cover.

Fearless Era Outfit Ideas

Released in 2008, Fearless was a country album with a few Taylor classics. Taylor’s Version of Fearless was released in 2021 with vault songs. But a few classics on this album include “Love Story”, “You Belong With Me” and of course, “Fearless”. And my personal favorite is the vault song, Mr. Perfectly Fine.

Her performances from this era are all about the gold fringe, sparkle and cowboy boots. Draw outfit inspiration from the gold fringe, or Love Story and be a Juliet in a love story, and lastly, take a look out of the iconic You Belong With Me music video.

Fearless Era Outfit Fringe Dress

During The Eras Tour for the Fearless era, Taylor is wearing a gold (and now gold and black) fringe tinsel style dress. It’s such a fun almost flapper style dress which is really easy to find for a quick outfit. But wear anything with gold and glitter and you’ll be good to go!

Love Story Era Outfit Idea

This Romeo & Juliet inspired love song can have you wearing a Victorian style dress to the concert. Step into a fairytale dress for this ensemble.

You Belong With Me Outfit Ideas

You have a few options to represent the You Belong With Me Song whether it’s the plaid pajamas and Junior Jewels tee that you can DIY along with glasses, or a band outfit, you have a few things to try here!

Speak Now Era Outfit Ideas

Speak Now was released in 2010, and Taylor’s Version was released in 2023, and this country album is packed with incredible bops. And some of her best love songs like “Dear John”, “Enchanted” and “Long Live” to name a few. And my personal favorite (and remember, I don’t even like country) “Mean”. Hands down my favorite song in her country era. You can’t tell me that’s not the best country bop.

This era is ALL about all things purple. It’s feminine, it’s full of love so lean into the super feminine vibes. Lots of tulle, glitter, and butterflies. This is an easy one to accomplish if you have a great purple dress in your closet you already love to wear. Add some cowboy boots and dance away.

Red Era Outfit Ideas

A few of my favorite songs from the Red Era include “All Too Well” (the 10 minute version obviously), “22” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”. From the vault, a personal favorite of mine is “Message In A Bottle”. For me, this was the album I started to like a few songs that crossed over to more pop in 2012-2013. And Taylor released Red, Taylor’s Version in 2021 along with some amazing vault songs.

And while a red lip is instantly what we think of for Taylor Swift, I think this era requires it for sure. Red lipstick, red nails, this is the RED era after all. PS, here’s some of my favorite red lipsticks that don’t budge.

22 Outfit Idea

The most iconic look of the era may be the graphic tee, black hat and shorts and this is such an easy outfit to put together with things you likely already have on hand. DIY your t-shirt or pick up a fun one on Etsy. Pair with black shorts and loafers.

Ringmaster Outfit Idea

Taylor Swift’s Red tour had a whole ringmaster vibe to it. So you can also lean into this trend with a cool ringmaster jacket paired with sequined shorts or even a pair of your favorite denim jeans.

1989 Era Outfit Ideas

This is the album that turned me into a Taylor Swift fan. I am not into country, so when 1989 came out in 2014, I was hooked as a pop music fan. The electronic pop vibes had me obsessed. There are so many options for 1989 and I love them all!

A few of my favorite songs from the 1989 album include “Blank Space”, “Style”, “Bad Blood”, “Clean”, and all of the vault songs (these may be my favorite songs of hers from her entire discography). She released Taylor’s Version of 1989 in 2023 while on The Eras Tour.

With so many great songs from the 1989 Era, you have a lot of options for outfits. You can try outfits inspired by the songs, music videos and of course, her Eras Tour outfits like matching sequined pieces and sequin dresses.

Style Era Outfit Idea

This song just screams a matching sequined set. Taylor rocks a few variations of it on The Eras Tour so you can pick and choose a fun color for this.

1989 Outfit Ideas

Go more comfy in 1989 graphic concert t-shirts , or a a NYC tee and hat. Add a denim jacket, mini skirt and cute Chucks for a simple and comfortable outfit for enjoying The Eras Tour.

Skater Skirt Outfit Ideas

The skater skirt and bomber jacket is the perfect combination for a 1989 Eras Tour outfit idea. So many fun sequined options to shop too. And you can just style with a Converse for ultra comfort. Taylor has recently upgraded her matching sequined sets on The Eras Tour to reflect a sequined skater skirt which I think is truly a nod back to the 1989 era.

Reputation Era Outfit Ideas

One of my favorite albums from Taylor Swift released in 2017 includes a few favorite songs like “Ready For It?”, “I Did Something Bad”, “Look What You Made Me Do”, and “Dress” (a personal favorite). This album is all about the media scrutiny and the snakes who tried to tear her reputation apart. Snakes are a must for this era along with lots of black, leather and mesh. This era is all about sexy, edgy and black.

And yes, we are all anxiously awaiting for Taylor’s Version of Reputation and I can not wait for it to finally arrive.

Reputation Eras Snake Outfit Idea

This snake bodysuit is so fun and different. I would add a black tube top under it if you are not into how revealing it is. Pair these fun tops with black denim, or black leather shorts or skirts for easy and comfortable outfits. And for shoes, black combat boots work great.

There are also a few fun snake dresses you can shop or dresses that mimic Taylor Swift’s Reputation bodysuit in The Eras Tour. And don’t forget a few fun Reputation eras accessories like snake rings and a choker with a snake on it to mix TTPD and Reputation.

Newspaper Print Outfit Idea

The Reputation Era is also synonymous with this newspaper print. There are a few fun pieces to shop that would be great with what you probably already have in your closet, black shorts or denim, and call it a day. This print is represented on the album and much of her Reputation tour.

Lover Era Outfit Ideas

One of my favorite albums, Lover was released in 2019 which was her first album she owned fully. Lover is full of beautiful love songs and pop favorites. From “Cruel Summer”, “Lover”, “The Man”, “False God” and more. I could go on, it’s one of my top 3 albums. Lots of pinks and blues and pretty lover details from hearts and girly flowers.

Lover Eras Tour Outfit Ideas

So much of the Lover era is full of pinks and blues, and lots of rainbow inspired looks with the album cover background. Try wearing a sequined matching set in one of these colors, or just embrace the colors of the album in comfortable pieces like a pink or blue denim set. Don’t forget to add some heart earrings!

The Man Era Outfit Ideas

Sequined blazers are easy to find so why not replicate Taylor Swift’s The Man outfit from The Eras Tour. I especially love this red sequined blazer. Pair with sequined cowboy boots or go more comfortable in a white sneaker .

Folklore and Evermore Era Outfit Ideas

Combining Folklore and Evermore since Taylor Swift recently updated her set list to also combine these two eras. Folklore was released during the pandemic in 2020. And just five months later she casually drops Evermore.

These two albums have more folk, indie vibes to them with a few favorite songs like “Cardigan”, “The 1”, “Champagne Problems” and “August” to name a few from these sister albums.

Folklore Era Vibes

Embrace the cottagecore vibes of this album and era. Try anything from Free People along with some lace-up boots. The more ruffles and tiers to your dress the better! Try a plaid dress too for something different. And don’t forget a braid in your hair to mimic the cover of Evermore.

Mirrorball And Champagne Problems Era Outfit Idea

Embrace mirrorball and champagne hues with one of these fun pieces for a nod to some of the best songs on these albums. Mostly we see the boho dresses and cottagcore outfits for these two eras, but these could be a fun option to try.

Midnights Era Outfit Ideas

The Midnight’s album may be my favorite Taylor Swift album. Released in 2022, this album is hands down my favorite. From songs like “Lavendar Haze”, “Anti-Hero”, “Bejeweled”, “Karma” and my personal favorite, “Mastermind”. I could go on!

For the Midnight’s Era outfit ideas, go for all the sparkles and sequins in shades of navy or maroon. Opt for star prints, celestial prints and sequins. Lean into purple and navy, or go bejewelled if you will, in metallics. And if you want to maybe manifest a Karma album (because who isn’t), Taylor Swift has been wearing a new orange look so why not rock that color too for this era.

All The Sparkles For Midnights

I think this era is really fun to wear and just choose a fun sparkly item whether it’s a top or bottom, and pair it with your go-to comfy bottoms. That’s basically what I did for my Eras tour outfit. And you can try the tinsel fringe jacket that is available at Nasty Gal here.

Anti-Hero Outfit Idea

Another option for the Midnights Era is to try the anti-hero outfit which reflects the 70’s inspiration of the album cover. Just pair some burnt orange, or brown corduroy flares with a striped retro baby tee. Easy and comfortable!

The Tortured Poets Department Era Outfit Ideas

Hands down the best era of the entire show. The Tortued Poets Department (TTPD) was released in 2024 with a surprise second album to accompany it. Taylor Swift debuted TTPD as the newest era at The Eras Tour at the start of the European leg of the tour in Paris April 2024. This is the show I attended and it was just so damn good. From “Fortnight”, to “Down Bad”, “But Daddy I Love Him”, and hands down my absolute favorite was “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”, this album is packed with incredible tunes.

Tortured Poets Eras Outfit

Go for a white dress, white booties and a choker to achieve the look she donned at The Grammy’s and also in her TTPD performance. This is also perfect for those spring and summer concerts. And yes, white boots are a great investment, here’s how to style white boots so you’ll get some use out of them beyond the concert.

I Can Do It With A Broken Heart Outfit Idea

Since I went to the Paris shows, I feel like no one was in this look but I bet we’ll see it in upcoming shows. Why not dress like a showgirl or the tailcoat jacket with a sequined set underneath it? It’s a fun way to dress up for what I think is the BEST performance of the entire 3.5 hour show.

I opted for a comfortable sneaker, silky cargo pants , and a sequined bra top to represent my favorite era, Midnights. So you don’t have to go all in head to toe, instead, you can just add a nod in a top, or bottom. This should be a FUN evening so keeping your outfit comfortable I think is key! I hope you enjoy your Taylor Swift concert experience, it’s a memorable one!

Things To Know Before Going To The Eras Tour

Before you head to The Eras Tour which will undoubtedly be the best night of your life, there are a few things to keep in mind. This is to ensure you have the BEST time, and also feel your best.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

Maybe you’re capable of wearing 4 inch heels for 3.5 hours like Taylor, but I am not. I would opt for a comfortable shoe like a sneaker, or low heel. I think many of the outfits work well with comfortable shoes regardless. But you will likely be standing and dancing the entire time along with long wait times to get out of the stadium and back on trains to get home.

Know The Bag Rule

If you haven’t been to a sporting event or concert in a while, bag rules have changed drastically in the last few years. Check your venues bag rules to make sure you are able to bring your bag into the stadium without any issues.

Know The Chants

There are a few fun chants that fans do during songs like Anti-Hero’s “Taylor you’ll be fine”. This article has all the chants to know!

Eat Before You Go

The concert is LONG and usually there is a decent amount of travel time to and from the venue. I recommend eating a decent size meal before you go so you don’t feel the need to buy stadium food and waste your time and money.

Ear Protection

Especially for small children, ear protection is a must. And as I’ve gotten older, I have honestly considered ear protection at concerts. Loop Earplugs are a really cool new type of earplug that reduces noise but still keeps the music crisp and clear.

Love this and ‘Know Before You Go’ is spot on! Stockholm Eras Tour had a zero-bag policy so knowing the bag policy ahead of time was a life-saver because I was able to add biker shorts with pockets to my outfit.

Taylor Swift takes London! The capital is in a frenzy as Taylor takes to the stage to perform to thousands of fans. 

If you have managed to bag yourself tickets to see Taylor Swift , first of all, congratulations and second, what are you going to wear? Hopefully by the end of this article you might have a few ideas if you're not sorted yet.

For the past few months I've been asking all my friends the exact same question. I'm not married but I think deciding on a wedding dress might be easier than choosing an outfit to wear to the tour of the year. I went to the Stockholm concert as my friend Kelly wanted to celebrate her 40th birthday in style, and it was one of the best nights of my life. There are no spoilers in this story about the show (well, I hope not anyway), but believe me, you'll have an incredible time. 

So, back to the outfit dilemma I knew two things; I needed to take friendship bracelets , and I knew I needed to choose my favourite 'Taylor era' and dress accordingly. I went for Lover because I love all things sparkle! I regret parts of my outfit, keep reading to find out why. 

13 top tips for what to to wear to the Taylor Swift concert

• Dress up:  I think you’ll feel like you’ve missed out on part of the fun if you go dressed in your regular clothes. Kind of like going to a Halloween party without a costume, or a Christmas party without sparkle - you’ll feel like such a party pooper. I filmed a TikTok video of some of the outfits I saw .
• Don’t think dressing up is for the kids:  Nearly everyone dressed to impress!  
• Choose your era and run with it:  Lover was definitely the most popular for the concert I went to. Silver, pink and iridescent sequins were everywhere. Red and Reputation also were favourites with the crowd. I also saw a lot of song lyrics on T-shirts and customised jackets. There were a lot of pretty white dresses, too! Scroll down for all the info on the different eras. 
• Comfortable shoes: I need to stress this one, and trust me on this, if you’re thinking of wearing high heel cowboy boots like I planned to do, don’t. It’s a long concert and you’re on a concrete floor - you WILL regret your decision. I’m so glad I decided on a pair of Adidas Spezials instead. Perhaps take photos in your boots before you leave and then switch! You’ll be so happy you did. You want to be thinking about how amazing the show is, not the joyous moment you get to take the boots off. I did see lots of people in small heeled sparkly cowboy boots - maybe put some anti-fatigue insoles in them to make them super comfy and make sure you’ve road tested them for a few hours so you know they won’t hurt when you’re wearing them for a long period of time. 
• Ditch the cowboy hat:  I sound like a real kill joy, I’m sorry, but I would think twice about wearing one. I did buy one for the show but decided I didn’t want to be carrying it all night. I just think it will annoy you. If you have one where it sits on your back with string ( like this feathered one on Amazon ) that might be ok (only if you have seated tickets), but anything that gets in the way of enjoying the concert is just a distraction. 
• Sparkles up top: Ok, so I failed in this department! I wore a sparkly sequin skirt and while I loved it, I do regret not wearing something sparkly from the waist up. I would do a sparkly short sleeved sequin dress if I went again (manifesting winning all the competitions I’ve entered). I just think selfies would have been 10x better with a little bit of sparkle around the face. 
• Use merch for your outfit: If getting all dressed up isn’t for you, I get it. Head to the merch stall, buy your Taylor T-Shirt, put it on, and voila, you’re ready for action. It’s not quite in the spirit of the concert but also saves you carrying it!
• Face makeup:  I think face glitter is a really good idea, ditto with fun (fake) tattoos. I saw lots of snake transfer tattoos and number 13 tattoos .
• Jewels in the hair:  I saw a girl with a slicked back bun with diamonds scattered all over. It looked so good. I also saw sparkly tinsel through the hair and lots of sparkly butterfly hair grips . I would be buying this hair bedlazzer kit from Amazon . 
• It’s hot:  Trust me on this one, it gets so warm. If you don’t need to take a jacket, don’t bother. I wore a hot-pink lightweight blazer and I had to take it off about 2 hours in. I also recommend taking a hair bobble… it gets very warm and your future self will thank you for following this advice. 
• Guys, get involved: I saw so many amazing costumes from the boys! If you’re dragging your BF give him a couple of jewels on his face . 
• Crossbody phone bags for the win:  You want to have as little on you as possible. My friends took crossbody phone bags , and they were so genius. If your venue allows, a crossbody bag is the best bag choice, or even a bumbag. You want your hands to be free for waving in the air like you just don’t care. There are bag restrictions in place across all shows, be sure to check out the size restraints. For example, unlike some event venues, Wembley isn't banning all bags. But handbags count as the one small bag you’re allowed to bring in to the stadium.  So, as long as it’s smaller than A4 and meets the rest of Wembley's bag policy then you can take a handbag. I wish I'd worn a detachable cord strap in hindsight (I wasn't allowed a bag). 
• Friendship bracelets:  Duh! Don’t forget them. You’ll be given a Taylor wrist band that lights up, be sure to put it on your hand you don’t hold your phone with. Amazon has lots of Taylor-made friendship bracelets right now - these get my vote . 

How I chose the best Eras Tour outfit ideas

• Personal experience: I went to the Stockholm show on Friday 17 May and researched what everyone wore to the show. I also had my own drama trying to figure out an outfit.
• Price:  Concert tickets are expensive, I wanted to add some affordable dresses into the mix. 
• Options: I opted for Lovers era but I wanted to include all the Eras in this roundup for you.

How fun is this dress? Especially for the price. If it's a bit too daring for you, any kind of sequin dress will work. This dress is just giving such Taylor vibes.

Speak Now Eras Dres

Look up Speak Now Era on Pinterest and we're all in cahoots, it has to be lilac. Go for any purple-hued dress and feel like a princess. Don't forget cute butterfly clips and tousled hair. 

ASOS EDITION Ultimate Fringe Trapeze Mini Dress

Red Eras Dress

No words needed for this one, but I think this dress would be on the money for the Red Eras tour look. At the concert I went to, Red was popular but it was mainly with white Tshirts with black lettering - similar to the Taylor look in the show. This might be a fabulous alternative to that. 

Whistles Sequin Disc Mini Dress

1989 Era Dress

You could opt for a cute sparkly mini skirt and crop top, or you could opt for a fabulous sequin mini dress. This one you can wear time and time again. 

New Look Black 2-in-1 Mesh Mini Dress

Reputation Eras Dress

Reputation is a popular era with the crowd, with lots of snake prints and black mini dresses. This is a fierce look, and you'll need plenty of kohl eyeliner.

New Look White Sequin Halter Mini Dress

Lover Eras Dress

New Look wins with this sparkly little number. You can't go wrong with any sparkly dress, but make sure you can dance in it. This is definitely one of the easiest eras to go with. If it's pink and sparkly, you've nailed it. 

I also love this  ASOS sparkly number could be a great option. Boohoo also has a lot of pink embellished dresses available, all at reasonable prices.

This Free People dress is SO Taylor Swift. I'm kind of obsessed - especially with the Vans trainers, so perfect for the show.

I'm doubting myself with this one as I didn't really see all too much tartan at the show - definitely one of the least popular eras on the night I attended. But regardless, this definitely fits with the vibe of the album so I'm sticking with it.

Midnights was a popular choice with fans. Silver, blue and navy sparkles are perfect for this outfit. If I went again I'd possibly choose this era but go for a fringed sparkly jacket, because why not?!

The newest of the eras, and Taylor rocks an amazing Vivienne Westwood white dress - I kept with the white theme for this look. I have to say, I saw a lot of white dresses at the show. I think this could be one of the more popular eras after the launch of the album. 

Taylor Era Outfits - a breakdown of what it all means 

• Taylor Swift (2006):  Her debut to the world. Think cute dresses, cowboy boots and of course the corkscrew curly hair. 
• Fearless (2008):  The 'Fearless' era was a fun one, with sparkly fringe dresses, her lucky number 13 and Grammy award winning dresses. 
• Speak Now (2010): Finding her power within the music industry. Think purple, butterflies and cute ditsy florals. 
• Red (2012):  This one's an obvious one. If you opt for this era don't forget your red lipstick. High-waisted shorts played a big part in this era also.
• 1989 (2014):  The anthem Shake It Off came at this time and Taylor really started to have fun with her on-stage outfits. 
• Reputation (2017):  This was a moody era with dark lipstick, black bodysuits, and snake motifs. Who can forget the infamous snake motif?! 
• Lover (2019):  After the moodiness of Reputation, Lover was very different. Think pastel pinks, blues, and purples as well as rainbow sparkles. 
• Folklore (2020):  No surprises here! Folklore is earthy, it's muted and it's zen. The definition of cottage-core. 
• Evermore (2020):  Not too different to Folklore. Go for cosy vibes. 
• Midnights (2022):  This is a fun one! Dark midnight shades, lots of silver, sequin and star quality.

Taylor fever is sweeping the nation, with the Eras Tour kicking off in Edinburgh tomorrow (7th June).

The international superstar was spotted in London to support her bestie Cara Delevingne in  Cabaret  at KitKatClub in the West End before she heads up north to kick off her UK tour.

The UK Eras Tour will begin in Edinburgh tomorrow until the 9th of June, before heading to Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on the 13th to the 15th of June and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on the 18th of June.

London Swifties will get the chance to see Taylor perform at Wembley between the 21st and 23rd of June and then again for the final leg of the Eras Tour between the 15th and 20th of August.

In your Last Minute Era? Outfit ideas for every Taylor Swift era you'll actually wear again

'Omg, your Eras Tour outfit is so f * ****g good' - that's the audio living rent-free in Swifties' heads as we prepare for Taylor Swift's arrival in Dublin.

Excitement has been building for weeks about Tay's three nights at the Aviva but if like us you're in your Last Minute Era, fear not as we've found great outfit options on the high street that'll see you standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset.

From sequin skirts to Chiefs-inspired tees, we've found something for everyone. And even better, you might even get to wear these again!

Taylor Swift / Debut

OG Swifties will be tempted to return to their roots for the Eras Tour and embrace all the shades of pastel blues or floaty boho vibes dresses.

We love this polka dot mini from River Island, priced at €100, and Zara's €39.95 shirt dress with a braided belt is also very Debut-coded and would look fab with a pair of cowboy boots.

PrettyLittleThing's place blue chiffon ruffle detail asymmetric mini skirt would also be great for a Debut 'fit and even better, it is currently marked down to €18.

While we'd have loved to wear the full ballgown from Tay’s Love Story video, we reluctantly accept that it’s not the most practical lewk for the show.

Instead, we spotted this cute and sparkly gold mini column dress at Marks & Spencer which costs €67 and would be fun to dance the night away in.

Speak Now is your chance to go all out in purple and although the Irish high street made us work to find any strong options, we do love this Quiz cold shoulder maxi dress with frills available at Next for €60.

ASOS also has a great lilac selection, including this fab ruffled dress in the tall collection that is on sale at the moment for a bargain €26.50.

Berets and scarves at the ready! Red is a great Era to channel if you don’t want to buy anything new as you could throw on a pair of denim or black shorts and a striped top and be looking the part.

If you want a softer take on the era, why not treat yourself to a pretty red dress like this broderie frill mini one from New Look (now on sale for €16) or something sparkly?

The high street is overflowing with silver and white sequins which are great for a 1989-inspired Eras Tour look. New Look’s sequin skirt (€46.99) would be easy to pair with a fun T-shirt.

When Taylor Swift jets into Ireland at the end of June for her Era's Tour , she'll be setting foot in the land of her ancestors as it's just been discovered that the American singer has deep Irish roots.

Genealogy experts at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, with their genealogy partners The Irish Family History Centre, have uncovered the global superstar's ancestral ties to Ireland and it all began with a Love Story as romantic as you'd find in one of her songs.

Now that we can officially call Taylor one of our own, here are all of Taylor Swift's other connections to Ireland from the places she's stayed to the pubs she's drank in:

Taylor's Irish roots 

Taylor's great-great-great-grandparents, Susan Davis and Francis Gwynn, both left Ireland in 1836 to seek their fortune in America, sailing on the same immigrant ship, the AMY, from Derry to Philadelphia.

They were both 21 at the time with Susan's profession listed as a dressmaker and Francis listed as a weaver. It appears they met on the ship and struck up a romance - sounds like inspiration for Taylor's next album!

The ship arrived in Philadelphia after a two-month voyage across the Atlantic and three years later in 1839, Susan and Francis got married. They went on to have six children - two girls and four boys - and Francis established a successful soap-making business.

Sadly, of the six children that Susan and Francis had, Ann, John, William, Francis, Joseph, and Mary, five of them passed away before their parents.

Their only remaining daughter, Mary Gwynn, later married becoming Mary Douglas and went on to be Taylor Swift's great-great-grandmother on her father's side.

Meanwhile, Taylor's great-great-grandfather, George Findlay also married in Ireland in 1880, tying the knot with Louisa Anna Darling in Grangegorman. The Findlay family lived in Phibsborough, Portobello, and Harold's Cross over the years.

Ireland mentioned in her songs

Taylor once spent a summer in Ireland with her actor ex Joe Alwyn as he filmed the show Conversations with Friends. The couple visited Wicklow together in July 2021 and she later mentions the day out in one of her songs on her Midnights album in 2022.

The lyrics of Sweet Nothing, which she co-wrote with Joe, center around a pebble they picked up while out on a romantic walk in nature, as the song goes:

'I spy with my little tired eye Tiny as a firefly A pebble that we picked up last July Down deep inside your pocket We almost forgot it Does it ever miss Wicklow sometimes?'

Now all Swifties want to know... where in Wicklow did Taylor Swift pick up the pebble? Could it have been in Glendalough or on Bray Head or Greystones beach? Please be more specific, Taylor!

Where she's stayed

In 2018, Taylor and her ex Joe spent a Christmas at Glin Castle in Co Limerick, arriving on St Stephen's Day and staying for six nights. The castle is owned by fellow actor Dominic West's wife Catherine FitzGerald and is available for private hire.

Fans recognised the area after Joe Alwyn posted a picture of The Knight’s Walk, a heritage trail near the castle, on social media and they were also spotted enjoying pints in a local pub!

In 2021, Taylor stayed at The Coach House on Clonskeagh Road in Rathmines in Dublin 6. It's still listed on AirBnb and for €400 a night, you too can sleep in the same bed and cook in the same kitchen that Taylor used on her stay!

She signed a picture for the owners during her stay that is now framed in the property, writing: 'To the Haugh family. Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful home. Sending love and gratitude to you all! Love, Taylor.'

Taylor Swift once visited one of Ireland's most beautiful beaches, Ballymastocker Bay, near Portsalon in Co Donegal.

The beautiful surroundings clearly made an impression on her as she later shared black-and-white pictures of her walking through the sand in shorts and a t-shirt on her social media - and eagle-eyed Irish fans recognised the exact spot.

She also famously attended the Conversations With Friends wrap party in Belfast in September 2021, taking selfies with staff at Shu Restaurant in Belfast as well as enjoying margaritas at the cocktail bar Tipsy Bird.

We wonder where she'll visit in Ireland this time?

Taylor Swift was caught wiping her snot on her Eras Tour costumes as she performed in Edinburgh, Scotland through freezing temperatures, which were reported to be between 48 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

According to a video posted by a fan on X , the “Bad Blood” singer could be seen wiping the boogers from her nose as she walked onstage in the cold weather.

When the pop star put her hand back down near her sparkly green mini-skirt, the snot could be seen hanging from her fingers.

In another clip from one of the sold-out shows at Murrayfield Stadium, Swift could be seen wiping her nose and then cleaning her hand off on her red-and-black jumpsuit as she sang her hit “Don’t Blame Me.”

And in a third video , she could be seen licking her snot as it dripped over her signature red lipstick while she played the piano.

After the videos surfaced, many fans had mixed reactions to the very “human” situation.

“i’ve seen 3 different videos of taylor wiping or licking her boogers in the past 30 minutes, she needs to take some tissues with her up on that stage,” one person tweeted .

“this video of taylor swift eating her boogers and throwing snot on the stage keeps popping up. honestly, eat ur boogers in private idc but on stage is insane,” another added .

However, one supporter wrote, “What is the problem here? Shows that she’s human just like everyone when they don’t have access to a Kleenex.”

The weather was so cold in Scotland last weekend that Swift, 34, had to make a quick wardrobe change during her show .

Swift was forced to add a pair of short black gloves with her Vivian Westwood gown while performing songs off her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

The wardrobe change was seemingly made because the billionaire musician said her hands were “frozen” due to the frigid temperatures.

“Oh God! Hand cramp!” she told the audience before massaging her palm.

“I’m so sorry, everyone, this has never happened before, but my hand is frozen, I’m just going to warm it. I’m so embarrassed. My hand’s like a claw!”

Swift’s next Eras Tour concert is slated to kick off Thursday night in Liverpool, England.

Slashing red tape for Britain's pubs, restaurants and music venues would be the focus of a review launched within the first 100 days of a Tory government, the party has said.

Ministers would look into ways to "crack down" on councils imposing "disproportionate conditions" and restrictions on licences as part of a bid to boost the UK night-time economy, the Conservatives say.

It comes as Rishi Sunak seeks to shift the focus of the campaign away from the betting scandal that has thrown his party into fresh turmoil in recent days.

The Tories used the announcement to attack Labour's record on nightlife in London and Wales, as polls continue to put the opposition party on course for a historic victory on 4 July.

Business minister Kevin Hollinrake said: "The night-time economy is a vibrant sector that's vital to our economy and our society as a whole.

"We've always supported our night-time economy, with business rates reliefs, economic support during the pandemic - but wherever Labour have been responsible for the sector, it's suffered.

"We'll continue to back our night-time economy - Labour would cripple it further with higher taxes and more burdensome regulation."

The general election takes place in under two weeks, and political parties from across the House of Commons are busy on the campaign trail.

Here's what you might have missed today:

• Rishi Sunak has reiterated he was "incredibly angry" when he learned about allegations that his own parliamentary aid Craig Williams, who is a Tory candidate, had placed a bet on the election;
• Laura Saunders, the candidate for Bristol North West, and her husband, director of campaigns Tony Lee, are also being investigated by the Gambling Commission;
• David TC Davies , the Welsh secretary, told Sky News this morning that he "certainly" did not bet on the date of the general election;
• And the Conservatives got less than £300,000 in party donations between 7 and 12 June - far behind the £4.3m handed to Labour;
• But a Tory candidate told Sky News tonight that the Conservatives have a "sizable war chest" to run a "decent campaign" this year;
• Mr Sunak's favourability is now at an all time low, with three quarters of Britons having an unfavourable view of him - less even than Mr Johnson's lowest polling;
• The Welsh Conservatives have launched their manifesto today.
• Over with Labour , who - as we just mentioned - have come top of the list for party donations for the second week of the general election campaign.
• And Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer today said he would not enter negotiations with the Scottish government on an independence referendum if the SNP wins a majority of Scottish seats at the 4 July election;
• Sir Keir has also admitted today that the choice the public faced in the 2019 general election - Boris Johnson or Jeremy Corbyn - "wasn't a good one";
• But he opted to have a night off - at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London;
•  And Welsh Labour has launched its manifesto today,  with shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves detailing the "simple choice" voters have to face on 4 July.
• Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey today criticised Rishi Sunak's response to his party's betting scandal as "not good enough"; 
• And Plaid Cymru has claimed Welsh Labour's manifesto lacks ambition and undermines devolution. The party said that Labour is imposing further austerity on Wales with £1.8bn worth of cuts to public services.

The architect of the government's delayed reforms to social care has told Sky News politicians need to "grow up" and tackle the crisis in the sector.

Amid a bitter election row over public spending, Sir Andrew Dilnot said he believed the two main parties were reluctant to discuss care reform for fear of being accused of plotting future tax hikes.

Sir Andrew - whose 2011 report laid out several key measures adopted by the government - described social care as the "biggest risk that isn't managed" that the country faces.

He said: "Four out of five people are going to need  social care  before they die, we should grow up and face it."

"I think politicians are reluctant to talk about it firstly because they're worried about anything that means an increase in public spending and therefore possible taxation," he added.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has taken a break from general election campaigning tonight - to shake it off at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Sir Keir and his wife Victoria joined thousands of Swifties at the first of three Eras Tour shows at Wembley Stadium - which will be followed up by five more in August.

Government borrowing was less than expected in May, new figures have revealed.

Net borrowing - the difference between public sector spending and income - was £15bn, an increase of £0.8bn on the same time last year, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported on Friday.

The amount is below the £15.7bn forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) and less than expected by economists.

However, it was still the highest amount for the month of May since the  COVID-19 pandemic .

The ONS also said that public sector net debt, excluding public sector banks, was provisionally estimated at 99.8% of gross domestic product (GDP) in May - the highest level since March 1961.

The figure is also 3.7 percentage points higher than during the same period last year.

Economists said it showed that whoever wins the  upcoming general election  will face a string of potential financial challenges.

Nigel Farage has stood by his comment describing Andrew Tate as an "important voice" for men as he greeted supporters in Clacton-on-Sea.

The Reform UK leader had praised Tate while speaking on the Strike It Big podcast in February for defending "male culture" and said the "jury is out" on investigations into the influencer, The Guardian reported.

Since December 2022, Tate has faced charges in Romania of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women, which he denies.

Asked whether Tate was an "important voice" for men as he was leaving a meeting with supporters, Mr Farage said: "He's got a massive following and that shows you how big the gap is.

"I mean, clearly he's facing some serious allegations and has said some things that are difficult to level with, but the fact that he's got the following shows you how big the gap is."

Mr Farage did not specify what "gap" he was referring to.

Norman Phillips and his wife Ros - who lives with multiple sclerosis and dementia - are the human faces of the social care crisis.

Initially Norman was able to combine work with his caring responsibilities, but as Ros's condition worsened, he took early retirement.

The couple found help hard to come by and after Norman suffered an injury, they were forced to sell their home to settle care-related debts.

Ros is now subject to an NHS continuing healthcare plan after Norman suffered a breakdown earlier this year and authorities decided he was unable to carry on caring for his wife.

This includes around the clock care for Ros - something Norman said would not have been needed if a lower level of help had been made available earlier.

He said: "They've got six million of us unpaid carers. If they… help us, we can help the system.

"But what's happened to me, you know, is the system just kept backing away and backing away until I cracked."
