St. Lawrence University’s campus security says the campus is safe after sending a threat alert at 4:30 on Wednesday afternoon.

Safety officials updated the campus community later that evening. Officials say a person walked into Brewer Bookstore on St. Lawrence's campus, made a verbal threat against the campus, and then left the area. The suspect is now in custody, and campus security says there is no known threat to campus. 

Local and state police are managing the case.
