Island safari’s dive center is fully equipped with modern facilities and services on the accompanying 17m dive-dhoni. We provide PADI international certified multi-lingual diving instructors, including Japanese. Experience and enjoy diving in some of the best known spots in Maldives.

The main deck features a well-stocked bar serving international brands of alcohol, soft drinks, teas, coffees, espressos, cappuccinos and light snacks. Please note that if a particular drink is not on board you may place a request with the barman who will do his best to provide it for you.

The dining room is spacious and fully air-conditioned. Breakfast lunch and dinner are pleasant social events and with its elegant upholstery and relaxing atmosphere we hope mealtimes become an enjoyable part of your trip.

Island Safari 1

Island safari offers you numerous ways to experience Maldives aboard its fleet of live-aboard safari vessels. A truly unique way to explore and experience the splenders and wonders that the Maldives is - on aboard the Island Safari 1 Deluxe and Island Safari 2 Royal - cruising in class and comfort.

Charter customers can customize the route, however we might change the route based on the weather.

Food and beverage

The dining room is spacious and fully air-conditioned. Breakfast lunch and dinner are pleasant social events and with its elegant upholstery and relaxing atmosphere we hope mealtimes become an enjoyable part of your trip.

The whole of the upper deck is open for sunbathing or enjoying the magnificent seascapes. Please be reminded that the Maldives straddles the equator and although the constant sea breeze means that temperatures feel quite comfortable the sun rays here are extremely strong. Please do enjoy the sun but wear a high factor sun block (30-50 is recommended for the first few days), we do not wish your enjoyment to be marred by painful sunburn.

Entertainment

Adjacent to the dining room is a comfortable air-conditioned lounger which is perfect place to relax after dinner. There is a large flat screen TV and DVD player and board games are available from the bar. The upper deck may be used for outdoor eating and as a discotheque. This is available if weather permits.

Either Bodu Beru (traditional drum music with chanting and dancing) or a local music band will be arranged for one evening during a week-long cruise.

Night fishing is available on request.

Snorkeling and Diving Equipment is available for rent.

Enjoyment for non-divers

In a week long cruise, non-divers could enjoy a variety of recreational facilities, such as different type of fishing, wind surfing, snorkeling, island hopping, visits of sandbank etc.

We also have a variety of in-house games and entertainment facilities, which include TV and 24 Hour movies.

A BBQ evening will be organized on an uninhabited island by your crew for everyone on board.

The 2 Island Safari from Whitsunday Jet Ski Tours will take you on an exciting and adrenaline filled adventure through the beautiful Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. They will make sure you have the maximum amount of time on the water while also getting to explore incredible sights on stunning South Molle Island. Whitsunday Jetski Tours - 2 Island Safari Tour Plan

The Whitsunday Jet Ski courtesy bus can collect you from your Airlie Beach accommodation and take you to their check-in office at Coral Sea Marina or you may make your own way there. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Your friendly crew will provide you with a safety briefing as well as a comprehensive induction to the jetski. After putting your belongings into their safe lockers, you will be shown down to your designated jet ski.

Your guide will conduct a water tuition before beginning a slow drive past the berthed vessels as you become familiar with your vehicle.

Jet ski through open waters towards South Molle and Daydream Islands (weather depending). Your guide will ensure you have an exciting and safe time on the water no matter what day it is.

After your incredible tour, make your way back to Coral Sea Marina to collect your belongings and enjoy a courtesy bus back to your accommodation.

Please Note: This is a sample tour plan; your itinerary is based on the weather and tidal conditions experienced at the time of travel.

“supplier” means any tour operator or other supplier of the services “you” means the guest booking and person named on this reservation booking “we”, “our” means The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre and A.J.LAURENT PTY LTD These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made through The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre. Placing a booking with The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre and paying a deposit constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Booking Conditions

For bookings made more than 30 days prior to travel, a 25% deposit is due to secure your booking with the balance due 30 days prior to travel. For bookings made within 30 days of travel, the full payment is due immediately to secure your booking. If we do not receive your full payment within 30 days of your travel date and you do not contact us to cancel, your deposit is forfeited and your booking may be automatically cancelled by us, the supplier or both.

Prices are quoted in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST, and all payments must be made in Australian dollars. Your reservation will only be confirmed when funds have been received and are cleared. The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre is not responsible for delays in postal delivery, bank or payment system processing. It is your responsibility to ensure that payments are received within the times specified. If the deposit or final payment is not received by the due date, The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre has the right cancel the booking. If your final payment is not paid by the due date and in any event within 30 days of your departure, we have the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit in full without any reimbursement to cover our costs and those of any supplier.

Cancellations and Amendments to Bookings

If you wish to cancel or amend any booking made you need to contact us in writing. You can only cancel or amend a confirmed booking by contacting us directly. If you do not contact us to cancel prior to your booking departure date, you may forfeit your deposit and further costs.

Cancellation Charges and Amendment Fees

Any cancellation or amendment made more than 30 days before travel will incur an administration fee of 25% of the total booking fee. All cancellations or amendments made within 30 days of your travel date departure will incur both an administration fee of 25% in addition to the individual supplier’s fees. Any changes requested to your booking, including but not limited to dates, are subject to availability and if they are not available, you may be required to cancel and agree to the cancellation terms. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some services and activities may not permit any refund for certain bookings. You should check with the individual supplier or The Whitsundays Central Reservations Centre prior to paying for your booking to confirm any special non-refundable conditions.

Travel Insurance

We recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover your reservation, and valuable items (e.g. cameras). Your travel insurance policy should include coverage to protect against unforeseen and last-minute cancellations or medical conditions that may prevent travel and also to cover any medical emergencies during travel at minimum.

Supplier Tours and Services Changes

In the unlikely case of a vessel break down, maintenance or unavailability, the supplier will supply an alternate vessel of a similar standard and quality. Itineraries may be affected by elements beyond our and the supplier’s control such as wind, tide, rain, storm or other weather conditions which make travel dangerous and require a delay or cancellation. It is the skipper's requirement to ensure passenger safety at all times and may use his/her professional judgment in any manner to keep his/her guests and crew safe. In the instance of such delay or cancellation, alternative options will be provided by the supplier. In the event a cancellation or delay occurs and your tour or service is cancelled and rescheduled, you will receive a full refund if you are unable to rebook your tour or service.

You are using these services and taking any tours at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss or damage, including direct, indirect or consequential loss you may suffer as a result of your reservation, booking or anything related to your tour or services provided by any supplier. You need to ensure you are medically sound, fit and physically able to use the services. We are not liable for the event that you are refused access to any services or tours due to your medical, physical or other reasons, including intoxication. Any such claims should be addressed to the suppliers directly. You should note that sailing can be a dangerous activity and while crews will make every effort to ensure your safety, they cannot be accountable for actions or injury to you that may be ‘beyond their control’. Every effort is make to ensure your safety and you may be required to complete a pre departure questionnaire, and sign a travel agreement waiver during the check-in process of your tour with the supplier directly. We are not affiliated with nor responsible for our suppliers in any way other than as intermediary to arrange their services on you and their behalf. If you have any issues, injury, suffer any loss or damage, you need to take it up with the supplier directly. If we are obligated to cancel your travel arrangements for any reason, the liability of will be limited to a refund of all monies paid by you.

Whitsunday Jetski Tours Terms and Conditions

Our ADVENTURE TOURS operate daily in most weather conditions. A reasonable level of fitness is required, as some conditions can be physically demanding. Any person who may be pregnant cannot participate in jetski tours. Please consider your suitability to your chosen tour. Bring along swimmers, towel and sunscreen (like a day at the beach). A dry bag will be provided for your towel, phone/camera on the Daydream Extreme, Jetski To Paradise and Ultimate Island Trek. Thorough safety briefing and demonstrations provided by qualified tour guides. Fully supervised at all times by one or two guides, depending on numbers. Weight restrictions apply, maximum of 2 people per jetski or 200kg per jetski. Minimum driver age – 16 years. Minimum passenger age – 8 years. If under 18 years of age, an indemnity form must be signed by parent or guardian prior to tour. Group bookings are available for up to 12 jetskis per tour (maximum of 24 people).

As a wind guide: 10 knots – smooth, dry ride, 15 knots – partly smooth some choppy small waves, 20 knots plus – choppy water spray and large waves. Management reserve the right to change itinerary or times in extreme weather conditions.

Your jetski adventure checklist: Understand English Must be able to swim wearing a lifejacket Minimum passenger age of 8 years and over for Airlie Adventure tour Minimum passenger age of 12 years and over for Two Island Safari, Daydream Extreme and Jetski To Paradise tours Solo riders only with a minimum age of 16 years and over for the Ultimate Island Trek tour Above average fitness level and confidence in open waters for Two Island Safari, Daydream Extreme, Jetski To Paradise and Ultimate Island Trek tours Big smiles and sense of adventure!!

Liability: Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients – we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of the clients which are beyond our control. A signed release will be required from all participants on departure. We recommend you take out travel insurance and assess your suitability to this activity prior to commencement.

Whitsunday Jetski Tours’ cancellation policy: Cancellations made by guests after 6pm the night before tour or ‘no show’ may incur a 100% charge. If a cancellation by operator is necessary guests will be offered an alternate day or full refund.

Lake McKenzie: Complete with velvety, white silica sand and vibrant, sapphire blue water, Lake McKenzie is one of K'gari's most popular locations. This perched lake is formed entirely of rainwater and has amazingly clean, clear water. Enjoy swimming, floating, and snapping photos of this stunning spot!

Central Station: Explore the unique, dense rainforests that grow in the sand at Central Station! Conveniently located in the middle of the island, here you can admire the pristine Wanggoolba Creek, stroll along the scenic boardwalks, gaze up at the towering tree canopies, and learn about the history of the island. 

Eli Creek: Blow up your inflatable tubes and cruise down Eli Creek, another hot spot on K'gari. This freshwater creek is so pure that you can fill your water bottles right from the stream! This is a beautiful place to go for a dip during your island adventures.

With a sturdy dingo-proof fence, cozy camping tents that sleep 4, hot showers, and a general store for your convenience, our safari-style campsite has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds have comfy innerspring mattresses, fresh linens, and pillows so you can have a more luxurious camping experience. All amenities, drinking water, and meals are included, but feel free to bring your own snacks, soft drinks, or alcoholic beverages in cans. 

The campsite is located within 5 minutes of Maheno Shipwreck and 10 minutes from Eli Creek, plus it's just a short walk to the beach. It's also one of the few places on K'gari where campfires are allowed! Terms and Conditions

Important Information:

• Tour departs from Noosa or Rainbow Beach (If opting for a Rainbow Beach pick-up, please notify K’gari Safari during booking)
• Briefing the night before departure is mandatory!
• On the day of departure, please meet at Nomads Noosa reception no later than 6.30am. If you miss the departure you miss the tour!
• Passengers wishing to drive must be at least 21yrs of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and have at least 2 years of driving experience
• For open-dated bookings - allow a minimum of 7 days' notice, up to 15 days in peak season
• The itinerary is subject to weather and tidal conditions and may be altered at the operator’s discretion at any time without prior notice
• Changes to your booking are permitted up to 7 days prior to departure
• Tours are only suitable for travellers ages 18+

Your Responsibilities:

You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Fraser Tours / Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. 

Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.

Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances.

Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1.5% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD and AMEX card purchases.

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees. You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

• Tour cancellation is less than 7 days prior to departure date* and no-shows incur 100% cancellation fee .
• *Departure is defined as 18:00 local time, the day before the departure of the trip as this is the start time of the safety briefing.

Client Cancellations:

All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 30 days of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price. 

Transfers between tours can be made at the suppliers discretion, however, it should be noted that supplier fees may apply. Tour transfers also incur a $20 administration fee. 

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to [email protected]. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.

Supplier Cancellations:

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store.

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.

Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based off of feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.

Campfires are allowed at K'gari Safari's private campsite in the designated areas. You can purchase firewood at Nomads Noosa before departure. However, the campsite is subject to QLD Government rules, so if a total fire ban is in place, there will be no campfires. 

K'gari has limited cell phone and internet reception all over the island. The campsite also does not have wifi, so take advantage of this opportunity to disconnect! 4WD vehicles have radios so you can communicate with your tour guide. 

Travellers must be at least 18 years of age to book this tour. 

If you choose to add pre or post-tour accommodation at Nomads, you will be staying in a 16-bed mixed shared dorm room with an ensuite.

Woman mauled by wolves while jogging at zoo, reports say

(Gray News) - A woman visiting a French safari park and zoo was reportedly attacked by several wolves over the weekend.

According to multiple reports, a 37-year-old Paris woman was visiting the Thoiry Zoo Safari in France when she decided to go out jogging after spending the night at the lodge.

But the woman accidentally entered a safari zone Sunday morning that is usually only accessible by car.

French news outlets, including TF1 , reported, that the area has open spaces where animals, wolves and bears roam freely.

TFI reports that while the woman was running the wolves “pounced” on her as she was about 900 feet outside of the lodge.

The woman, whose name was not immediately released, sustained “serious” injuries and was bitten on the neck, calf and back.

“Luckily the medical staff intervened very quickly, and we were able to save this person,” CNN quoted the zoo’s CEO Christelle Bercheny from a press conference.

Bercheny added that there are signs posted at the zoo while noting that the animals may not be used to seeing humans.

The injured woman has since been stabilized at the hospital.

Zoo officials said its team has launched an investigation.
