Concertgoers can contribute to the cause by donating an optional $2 per ticket, supporting The Nature Conservancy’s global endeavor to plant one billion trees by 2025 through their Plant a Billion Trees campaign. Find further details at www.dmbtrees.org .

Additionally, as the curtain draws on their summer tour, the Dave Matthews Band will commemorate their traditional three-day Labor Day weekend celebration at the renowned Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., on Sept. 1-3.

Following the extensive U.S. fall tour, the band will embark on an international journey to South Africa with performances in Pretoria and Cape Town, while Matthews and guitarist Tim Reynolds will embark on their seventh all-inclusive concert vacation in Mexico’s Riviera Maya in 2024.

Dave Matthews Band Unveil Fall 2023 Tour Dates

by Cillea Houghton August 29, 2023, 10:28 am

Dave Matthews Band will wind down 2023 on the road. On Tuesday (August 29), the band announced a handful of dates for a late fall 2023 tour. Taking place throughout November, the tour takes them to five cities in the U.S.

Videos by American Songwriter

The trek kicks off on November 7 in Savannah, Georgia, followed by a stop in Greenville, South Carolina, on November 8. They’ll host two-night stays in their hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia, at John Paul Jones Arena, as well as Uncasville, Connecticut, at Mohegan Sun Arena, and New York City at Madison Square Garden where the tour wraps on November 17 and 18.

The tour will also be an environmentally and socially conscious endeavor. A portion of the proceeds from their shows in Charlottesville will be donated to their ongoing efforts for the city’s public housing redevelopment program. In 2018, Dave Matthews Band, frontman Dave Matthews and Red Light Management pledged to donate $5 million for the reinvestment in public and affordable housing in Charlottesville.

The band will also continue to support The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign during the fall tour. According to a press release, the campaign is “a major forest restoration effort to plant a billion trees around the world by 2025.” Since 2020, three million trees have been planted.

If you missed a Dave Matthews Band show this summer, don't fret! The band just added more shows.

On Tuesday, the "Crash Into Me" performers announced a series of shows in the fall in support of their latest album Walk Around the Moon .

The shows will kick off on Nov. 7 at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Ga. and will wrap at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 18 in New York. The band will perform eight shows total.

A portion of the proceeds from their shows in their hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia will benefit the redevelopment of Charlottesville's public housing. Dave Matthews Band, Bama Works and Red Light Management have already committed $5 million to the project.

Presale tickets for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association are available now at   www.warehouse.davematthewsband.com . General sale will begin on Friday, Sept. 15.

The band — which is led by Dave Matthews — is currently on their summer tour, with their traditional Labor Day weekend headlining appearance at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash. this weekend. The group will be joined by a range of other artists, including Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Briscoe, Tank and the Bangas, Thee Sacred Souls, Sierra Ferrell and Abraham Alexander.

The band — which has sold a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined — announced they would implement an  environmentally focused  component to the tour in January, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint generated from the touring.

According to a press release, their ongoing partnership with The Nature Conservancy has "resulted in three million trees being planted since 2020. This year’s partnership, which will continue with the fall tour, will bring the total to four million trees."

Dave Matthews Band (DMB) are an American rock and jazz band, who formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, America in 1991. The band has had numerous band members, playing a variety of jazz instruments.

The band consists of, founder of the band, singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bass guitarist Stefan Lessard, drummer, Carter Beauford and saxophonist Jeff Coffin.

However, the band is ever growing and later Boyd Tinsley joined as a violinist, with Rashawn Ross and Tim Reynolds also becoming full-time touring members of Dave Matthews Band.

Dave Matthews Band’s first public performance was in 1991 was on a rooftop warehouse in Charlottesville, America.

Interestingly, the name of the band comes after the members simply could not decide on a suitable name.

DMB finally released their first EP, named Recently, in 1994. The album consisted of five records which were taken from their shows which they had performed at venue, The Birchmere, in Alexandria, Virginia.

Later that year the band went on to successfully release their second album, named creatively to match their style of music, "Under the Table and Dreaming". The band made the album in tribute to Matthews's sister and dedicated it in memory of her after she was killed by her husband that year.

The band have gone to record a further seven studio albums with great success. They established their own charity BAMA Works Fund which is claimed to have raised over eight and a half million dollars to disadvantaged youths, the disabled, environmental charitites, and arts and humanities appeals in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Live reviews

Saw DMB locally 4 years ago in different venue, had no idea this would be so much better! The Greek Theater was incredible for a DMB concert with great acoustics...you could hear the crowd sing along, but not distractingly so....you could still here Dave and crew just fine. Not too loud or soft, and I was in the first row on the upper grass area (next time get there earlier for a cement seat!). The set list started with several acoustic numbers that were thoroughly enjoyable...starting with a nice version of Stay or Leave, followed by a personal favorite Satellite, and finishing up with a terrific version of Ants Marching (outstanding violin solo!). After what seemed like a 30+ minute break, the band came out and rocked the joint, and my highlight was the three backup singers who sounded like those on the Big Whiskey studio album who added incredible depth to Everyday, You & Me, Can't Stop, and the one that got everyone shaking, Burning Down the House. An Encore of The Space Between, Granny, Pantala Naga Pama (pretty but oh so short), and finally Rapunzel rounded out the evening. Counting the break the show finished a little before 11 and a great time was had by all, including Dave and the band, who looked like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Lots of banter with the crowd, which was missing from the show 4 years ago but on many live recordings. Like listening to your favorite bar band grow up but playing their own classics and with 8500+ of your best friends! Wish I was going back for more tonight!

When I listened DMB for the first time, I was 15. They were already big in the US and they were only making tours there.

Few years back, I heard, too late, that they've made an European tour.

This year, I couldn't miss it for the world.

And that was amazing.

It could have last 2 more hours that it already did, I couldn't have been happier.

The power they all release in live version, we all know them, because there is a lot of live album : the 10 minutes songs, the crazy solos, the bizarre humour of Dave Matthews...

Still, this show will remain in my soul for a while.

I was astonish by the power that each of the member give on stage.

I was dazzled by the show-light that couldn't go better with the whole concert.

If I could, I would go again tonight.... There are songs that they could not play, and might play the next day.

If you like them, just go for the ride, and sing along!

Dave Matthew's Band is one of the best bands I have ever seen live. Not only do they have the ability to reproduce the amazingly insane musical arrangements they do on their records but they are also able to free jam as they go. Everything gets even more insanely wonderful showing every individual talent that add musicality to this brilliant band. Dave is a charismatic dude and cutely shy (what makes his interactions with audience awkwardly wonderful). The members of the band also have their interaction moments when they almost invite the audience to be part of their creative process. As part of the audience, I've always felt part of the concert since every gig is unique, every concert has its on set list and they pretty much perform as a response to that specific crowd. No concert is the same...

The July 1st2018 show at Summerfest was one to remember!

The setlist was a perfect blend of old tunes and songs from the new album "Come Tomorrow." Samurai Cop moved me to tears - the overwhelming passion from the band reached everyone at the amphitheater.

Though I prefer larger venues set in the country, the vibe at this amphitheater was soaked with easy going fans who were clearly there to enjoy the show.

Here on Out was by far my favorite song of the night, I just wish the rest of the crowd would have been quieter so I could enjoy it more.

This was my 46th DMB show and will definitely remember it forever.

The biggest letdown was the fact that the band did not open for themselves acoustically. Other than that, a solid A- performance!!

My husband and I go to every Dave Matthews Band performance because we love this band, especially because it is at Mansfield Xfinity Center. We love the open airy smaller arena.

The only thing I have to say that could be much better was the acoustics. Usually the band is very enjoyable & you can hear what the singer(s) are saying but this time the noise from the Acoustics over road the lyrics. We had center VIP box seats. I know since I last saw the DMB,

they added this light show. It was kind of blinding & I thought I liked it better when it wasn't so loud & theatrical.

They do not need all that! They are great without any other distractions. The band is FANTASTIC!

Oh Dave Matthews, how I love you! What a fantastic show!

The show started with an acoustic set with Dave & Tim Reynolds by themselves performing Bartender. They continued the set with another 8 songs including Satellite, Tripping Billies, and Two Step. After a brief intermission, they began the electric set. The set was 14 songs which included my favorite cover of all time Sledgehammer! It was 2 hours of just pure awesomeness from DMB. Overall, it was a fantastic setlist. It was my third show. I have seen him twice at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach before this show. Definitely a different experience indoors, but SO glad I went.

It was an ok concert. Mainly I would give it that review due to the sound system. You could not understand a word he was saying. We left before the end because everyone stood up ALL night and I really got fed up with the butt view. As we reached the parking lot you could hear the music much better. Interesting.

We pay for seats yet 99% don't sit in them, so the rest are miserable. The sound system is so bad that you can hear it better in the parkiung lot. Next time I'll skip paying for the seat and sit in my car for a more enjoyable show!

The band was great and enthusiastic and generous. As always the sound system at the Molson in Toronto is blarey.

HOWEVER they made this event a will call only on ticketmaster. 20,000 people. Uh, huh.

So we got there an hour early. Waited in line for two hours for tickets we'd already purchased and missed a half hour of the show. AND when we went in there were still thousand of people waiting in the box office line. Eight attendants.

Fortunately for Counting Crows we already have our tickets.

Dave is always great, but the people around having their own conversations makes for a horrible time. Had lawn seating with people up and down through your blanket. Wished the event center had more paths so this would limit the problem. Do not seat in the center. The sounds is horrible. Noticed as I was leaving the sound on the side is much clearer and better. Wished I would have known this. Of the 20 concerts I've seen of Dave, my least favorite overall experience; but again the band is always great.

I've seen DMB more than 25 times. This was the second worst show. Thought I would like the double set format. Then saw that it just allowed for more new songs which are not nearly as strong as their older stuff. I understand playing some new stuff, but at least 35-40% of the show was me trying to stay awake, hoping for their usual, strong encore. That was a bigger letdown than the rest of the earlier show. Set list was the weakest I've seen.

“I’m excited for ‘After Everything,’ — the new album’s penultimate track — because I think it’s going to be dramatic live, because there’s so many turns in it that I think where the visual part of it and the sonic part come together, things seem almost impossible,” Dave Matthews told Variety ahead of the album’s release.

Most of the album’s 12 original songs are produced by Rob Evans, including its first single “Madman’s Eyes.” The band first debuted the song live in Columbus, Ohio, in November 2021. Longtime DMB collaborator John Alagia serves as executive producer on “Walk Around the Moon,” which “took shape” during the pandemic and “is as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground,” according to a press release from the band.

For the tour, DMB is once again partnering with Reverb to offset carbon emissions for band and fan travel, creating a climate positive tour.

Dave Matthews sings and plays guitar onstage.

With spring in the rearview mirror, that can only mean thing.

It’s Dave Matthews Band tour season.

For the 32nd time — dating back to 1991 (!) — the newly inducted 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are embarking on a nationwide run. This time around, they’re hitting amphitheaters, pavilions and music centers all over North America from June through September.

Along the way, the “Ants Marching” band marches into  Saratoga Springs  on July 5-6 and then Long Island’s  Jones Beach Theater  on July 9.

After that, Dave hits Holmdel, NJ’s  PNC Bank Arts Center  on July 10 and Camden, NJ’s  Freedom Mortgage Pavilion  on July 19-20.

And if you want to see them live, last-minute tickets are quite affordable to catch the inimitable group live.

At the time of publication, our team found some tickets going for as low as $41 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have seats starting anywhere from $55 to $259 before fees.

Can’t wait to “Crash” and jam with DMB live this summer?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Dave Matthews Band’s summer 2024 tour below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Dave Matthews Band tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including tour dates, venues and links to the cheapest tickets available can be found here:

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Dave Matthews Band festival appearances

To close their tour, Dave and the gang will hit three back-to-back-to-back fests.

For a closer look at who they’ll be performing with and where, we’ve got everything you need to know about each of the Band’s 2024 festival appearances below.

Dave Matthews Band set list

While DMB doesn’t adhere to a strict set list, we can let you know what they played at a recent show on their summer run.

Courtesy of  Set List FM , here’s what Dave and co. played — including a few surprising covers — on June 1 in Dallas, TX.

01.) “When the World Ends” 02.) “Funny the Way It Is” 03.) “You Never Know” 04.) “Madman’s Eyes”

05.) “#41” 06.) “Can’t Stop” 07.) “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)” 08.) “Black and Blue Bird” 09.) “Warehouse” 10.) “Lover Lay Down” 11.) “Let’s Dance” (David Bowie cover) 12.) “Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd” 13.) “Lie in Our Graves” 14.) “Spaceman” 15.) “Grey Street” 16.) “Everyday” 17.) “Ants Marching”

18.) “Some Devil” 19.) “All Along the Watchtower” (Bob Dylan cover)

Dave Matthews Band new music

In May 2023, Dave Matthews Band dropped their tenth studio album “Walk Around The Moon.”

Over 12 tracks, DMB deliver their trademark bluesy, folksy, rock sound along with a few new flourishes.

Personally, we’re partial to the album’s title track, the deceptively simple “The Ocean and the Butterfly” and the rowdy, rollicking barnstorming good time of a song “After Everything.”
