Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 Sunday final round tee times, how to watch

W ith 18 holes remaining at the PGA Tour's 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, Davis Riley holds the outright 54-hole lead at 14 under, four shots clear of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

Pierceson Coody and Hayden Buckley are tied for third at 9 under, five shots back of Riley, while Robby Shelton is alone in fifth at 8 under.

A renovated Colonial Country Club is a par-70 track measuring 7,289 yards.

The purse at the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge is $9.1 million with $1.638 million going to the winner. The champion will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points.

The 27-year-old won the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas , on Sunday at 14 under by five shots to secure his second win on the PGA Tour. It’s his first win as an individual, taking the Zurich Classic of New Orleans title last year.

For his efforts, Riley will take home the top prize of $1.638 million. Scottie Scheffler and Keegan Bradley tied for second and will each take home $809,900.

2024 Charles Schwab Challenge Final Prize Money, Purse, Payouts: Davis Riley Wins $1.638 Million

One week after the year's second major, the PGA Tour rolled on to Colonial Country Club for the Charles Schwab Challenge.

The tournament boasted 10 of the world's top 30 players including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, back after his surreal week at the PGA Championship. He shot a 2-over-par 72 in the first round, just his second over-par round all year , but rebounded with a Friday 65 to make it to the weekend and continue a made-cut streak that dates to August 2022. He shot 63 Saturday and was in the final group Sunday, shooting 1-over 71 and finishing tied for second with Keegan Bradley, five shots behind first.

And in first was Davis Riley, winning for the second time on the PGA Tour and for the first time by himself, having won the Zurich Classic team event last year with Nick Hardy. Riley received a custom 1975 Schwab Corvette Stingray, a tartan jacket, a place on the famed Wall of Champions near the first tee at Colonial and $1,638,000.

Coming off the wild PGA Championship week, the PGA Tour is at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Charles Schwab Challenge . The first two rounds have been completed, and a cut has been made.

However, a $9.1 million purse and a chance to win a vintage 1975 Stingray car are still up for grabs for those who made the weekend.

A week after a major can be brutal for some players, and this list of guys felt it after two days in Fort Worth. However, there are still plenty of other storylines to watch heading into Moving Day at the Charles Schwab Challenge .

Could Scottie Scheffler pull off a miracle for 5th win of 2024?

The No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler , struggled on Colonial Country Club’s greens but quickly found his stride. Despite still dealing with the PGA Championship situation, the new dad pushed the outside noise aside.

He posted a 5-under 65 on Friday, seven shots better than his Thursday 2-over 72.

His chip-in for par on 18 was huge because it kept him bogey-free and boosted the Texas native's momentum.

Scheffler is at 2-under for the tournament but is still within reach of his fifth PGA Tour win of the season. Davis Riley went low on Friday and leads the field by two shots, and Scheffler trails by seven strokes.

Despite that deficit, he is still the odds-out favorite to win the event.

The 10-time PGA Tour winner has a slight chance of winning this week, but anything is possible. He needs another low round on Day 3 and for the other guys to struggle. If Scheffler can get within reach, he could pull off a miracle after last week’s crazy situation.

Jordan Spieth continues to be hot and cold

Jordan Spieth started his second round red hot. He made five birdies in his first six holes. He hit a different stride, as many were shocked to see him play that well. However, it did not last.

After those five birdies, Spieth went ice cold on his second nine. He coughed up two shots at the par 3 4th and par 3 8th to sign for a 3-under 67. The three-time major winner sits at 2-under in the tournament after he went 71-67.

While he safely made the cut, many thought Spieth would be in contention after Friday’s round. Instead, the dad of two has work to do to earn his 14th career PGA Tour win.

Charles Schwab Challenge sees a close leaderboard at midway point

Riley leads at 10-under after he fired off a bogey-free 6-under 64 on Friday. The 27-year-old is eying his first solo PGA Tour win after he and Nick Hardy won the Zurich Classic last year.

However, he will have to keep the pedal down as the leaderboard in Fort Worth, TX., is tight. Hayden Buckley is the closest to Riley at 8-under, but Sungjae Im and Keegan Bradley sit at 6-under. There is a seven-way tie at 5-under, including Tony Finau , Brian Harman and Sepp Straka.

While a 4-5 shot lead is strong, it is still a close leaderboard with how the weather is in Texas. The swirling wind could really affect guys the next two days, so that lead may not last.
