A large individual can probably climb into the pass-thru storage, not that we’re suggesting such a thing. The point is, it’s that big. Everything on the Lance 1575 serves its purpose and is presented upfront.

For instance, the full gamut of outlets (traditional AC outlets, DC outlets, and USB), are all situated next to the bed, perfect for those who sleep with CPAP devices. If you need it, the odds are good that the Lance 1575 has it.

2. Casita Liberty

From the large picture windows to the unique, bubble aesthetic, Casita does things a little differently, though no less attractive than the best the industry has to offer.

The Casita Liberty , like all Casitas, comes in a Standard and Deluxe model. If you have a small family, the Standard sleeps 4, while the Deluxe sleeps two but comes with a bath and shower.

This makes enough room for everything else that RVers expect in a standard RV, including a full bathroom in the back. It’s not often that you have a sink in the bathroom on models in this class, but there is one here, along with a ton of storage space, pantries, wardrobes, and even a full bathtub.

5. Airstream Caravel 19CB

First, can you tow it? If you have a crossover or mid-size SUV, you need to carefully match the GVWR of your vehicle, with considerations toward carrying capacity added to the RV and the hitch weight.

Second, the size of your family and any pets. If extra space is your thing, and you have a large family, then it will be difficult to find what you want in the sub-4,000 category.

It has a smaller lineup than other brands, with only six travel trailer lines, four fifth wheel lines, and two Class C lines.

Why I Chose It: Double entry, true living room

The Longitude is brand new in 2024. The 285BH features double over double bunks and a full bathroom in the rear. This provides easy access for kids to wash up after playing outside and a place to drop dirty shoes without dragging mud through the trailer.

I also love the layout of this travel trailer’s living room. The sofa and dinette are on opposing sides, with the entertainment center in the middle. This makes the space feel homey, ideal for a family who enjoys watching TV or movies on a Friday night.

This bunkhouse travel trailer also features a front bedroom separate from the rest of the unit, providing privacy for the adults. There’s also an additional wardrobe in the East to West Longitude 285BH that the other models on this list don’t have.

Heartland Bunkhouse Travel Trailers

Heartland has been in the RV industry for two decades. They manufacture models ranging from lightweight travel trailers to triple-axle toy haulers across 20 towable lines. The booth dinette and sofa are side by side in a large slide-out, and the kitchen is against the opposing wall. One thing I love about this layout that’s different from the other travel trailers with bunkhouses is that the kitchen isn’t an L-shape. The countertop doesn’t stick out into the living space, creating a very open, spacious area. The kids can play on the floor without hitting their heads on the countertop, and the dogs can roam around with plenty of space.

Why I Chose It: Single entry, fiberglass exterior

However, this unit doesn’t have a second entry in the bathroom. Some families will appreciate that because it’s not another door they have to lock and prevent younger children from escaping. The Mallard also features a fiberglass exterior, while the Pioneer is built with corrugated aluminum siding, giving this unit an upgraded feel.

Jayco Bunkhouse Travel Trailers

Jayco is one of the most respected and well-known brands in the RV industry. Lloyd Bontrager founded the company in 1968 and debuted his innovative lifter system for pop up campers. The countertop is small, but with the dinette table just across the room, parents can use it for an additional meal prep space if needed. And Jayco still provides a separate front bedroom for the adults.

Why I Chose It: Compact, lightweight design

Another Jayco Jay Flight SLX model with bunks is the 174BH. What I love most about this travel trailer is the size. For a camping family who owns an SUV or a smaller vehicle, the Jayco Jay Flight SLX 174BH checks all the boxes. With a dry weight of under 3,200 pounds and a length of under 22 feet, it’s light enough and short enough to be towed by smaller vehicles.

This article claims the Springdale Classic has a 7.7 cu refrigerator and a 14 ft awning. In all the searching on Camping World inventory I have yet to find a unit with this. I only see 3.3 frig and 10 ft awning.

My apologies, as I just reached out to Keystone and they confirmed that 3.3-cubic feet is the standard fridge size for the 2024 model year, down from the 7.7 cubic foot standard in the 2023 model year. Y ou should never shop for a brand-new rig without first knowing what tow vehicle you plan on using and how much weight it can carry. 

Since travel trailers are lighter than ever these days, you may be surprised how heavy some of these rigs actually are. Your tow vehicle may be able to handle the RV model you’re looking at, no problem. If not, it’s best to upgrade your tow vehicle or look at more compact, lightweight travel trailer options.

The bunkhouse models on this rig have double-bed stackable bunks, providing sleeping areas for several people – some models have two sets of bunk beds!  This particular rig is built wider to accommodate the extra bunks, as well as also being equipped with extra large pass-through storage compartments. This may make the Wildwood Heritage Glen a little trickier to drive , but any nerves will be obliterated after a few drives! 

Not only is this travel trailer built with gorgeous finishing touches and convenient features, but it’s also bursting with luxury on the interior too. Best For Large Families: Jayco Eagle

Towable by most half-ton trucks and SUVs, the Jayco Eagle has two awesome bunkhouse-style floorplans, which bring the sleeping capabilities of this trailer to an incredible 10 people! Jayco is a popular name in the RV world, which is no surprise as their rigs boast top-quality construction and customer support.

Lightest Weight: Coachmen Apex Ultra-Lite

Some of the floor plans also have exclusive master suites with walk-around queen beds which is a piece of luxury I miss from living in a traditional home! There are solar panels and solar prep as standard, though I think some of the non-standard features are worth a look too.

Some of these options include dark and frameless tinted windows, additional amps, a second AC unit, and theater seating.  Coachmen will also back your purchase with a fantastic warranty and owner’s club. If you are worried about being able to tow a bunkhouse travel trailer, you don’t have to worry anymore with this lightweight model!

Travel Trailer With Multiple Bunk Beds: Dutchmen Astoria

Speaking of multiple bunk beds, the Dutchman Astoria is another fantastic model for catering to various sleeping needs from small families to large groups of friends. This Dutchmen can sleep a maximum of 11 people, depending on the floorplan of course! There are 15 floorplans in total, measuring in length from 29′ 11″ to 42′ 5″, meaning I can choose a size best suited to my towing ability and storage situation!

The Astoria offers four different bunkhouse models, and all of them offer a multiple bunkbed scenario. Creating sleeping areas for the kids or friends coming along for a weekend adventure means quality time spent together for everyone.  Safety is always the number one priority for me, and so I love that Dutchmen have loaded their rigs with safety features.

Quality steel frames, a power tongue jack, and heavy-duty tires all work together to create a rugged camper that’s reliable, secure, and durable. The interior of the Dutchmen Astoria is lovely, with many homey features, including an electric fireplace and pantry storage in the kitchen . Personally, I find stainless steel appliances have an unbeatable classic look, so the kitchen in this rig is perfect for my tastes. Paired with the quality backsplash the kitchen is easy to clean and a joy to spend time in.

This rig doesn’t just look good, but it functions well too, partly thanks to the standard 50 amp service of the Astoria. Having enough power on board is essential for appliances such as microwaves or AC units, and 50 amps is a solid amount to start off with. I like the contemporary feel of this rig, with the intricate arched ceiling and overall modern design. The kitchen is clean and white, but I think adding a little color would really help bring the inside to life even more!

The larger models of the Dutchmen Astoria may be too big for some to handle, but the smaller models are well worth considering, and with several bunkhouse options available, there’s a good shot this rig could be the right fit for you! Dutchmen also offer many different warranty options as well as a comprehensive customer service line, so I can have all of my questions answered with ease.

Best For The Pets: Coachmen Northern Spirit

The Coachmen Northern Spirit is a fantastic rig for the entire family, including furry friends. They have many classy and exclusive features available onboard this rig, especially in the bunkhouse models. I’d be lost if I couldn’t bring my pup along for RVing antics, so the Northern Spirit is an ideal rig for me and my partner! With six different bunkhouse options to choose from, the Northern Spirit has an array of layouts for all kinds of RVing groups.

Not only do some models have bathtubs and double bunks, but there are dedicated pet features so furry friends can be just as comfortable too! Some of these features include built-in food dishes, an outdoor hitching post for a dog leash, and an outdoor shower complete with a doggy bath area. The exterior of this rig continues to impress, with powered awnings and exterior LED lighting. As for the interior, the Northern Spirit is a good-looking rig on the inside and outside!

Floorplan dependant, this bunkhouse trailer has a spacious kitchen, a bar-style breakfast nook, and even theater seating for ultimate comfort. The interior also features multiple bunk beds along with a master bedroom so my partner and I can have some privacy.  I’m impressed by the volume of standard features, such as a detachable power cord, a solar panel with room to spare, and exterior speakers so I can bring the party outside during the summer.

The 50 amp electrical service and secondary AC unit in the master suite mean comfort even during the summer. No matter how hot it gets outside, I like that I can keep the entire travel trailer cool using this simple add-on. Like the other Coachmen model on this list, the interior design may be a little bland for some tastes, but nothing I don’t think some throws and cushions couldn’t sort out! 

Best For Entertaining: Palomino Puma

Palomino claims to offer the most bunkhouse travel trailer options in the industry, and I’m starting to see why. The Palomino Puma has 31 different floorplans across both the travel trailer and fifth wheel models, with an astonishing 14 layouts featuring bunk beds! The Puma is a beauty inside and out, offering ample pass thru storage, sturdy fiberglass exterior walls, and power awnings with LED lighting.

I appreciate the safety step as I can sometimes be a bit clumsy, but together with the outdoor lighting, safety in the dark is greatly improved. The exterior speakers are perfect for entertaining guests of all ages, and the bunkhouse interior on select floorplans is what makes this rig fit for big families. With so many floorplans, it’s possible to find a bunkhouse option with two master suites, making it a perfect fit for kiddos, parents, and even grandparents!

The Puma is ideal for entertaining given the open layout allowing for easy transition through different areas of the rig. There are layouts featuring kitchens with islands and large countertops, or living rooms equipped with theater seating and electric fireplaces, ideal for cozy winter nights.  This rig is built for adventure as well as connection, as it’s prewired for solar and WiFi. It has interior Bluetooth speakers and an entertainment center so everyone can keep happy and uplifted while traveling the open road.

Once the destination is reached, the power jack and built-in stabilizers help make the setup quick and easy, which is what I need after a long afternoon of driving! I’m also grateful for the ample storage throughout the Palomino Puma, as it means dirty gear can be stored away securely outside, limiting dirt and mess inside the trailer.

This trailer offers many floorplans across a wide variety of travel trailer lengths that makes it feel like there’s a layout for everybody. The roomy interior is finished in an open-plan way that’s perfect for entertaining, even if the party makes its way outside!

Best Indoor/Outdoor Bunkhouse: Keystone Outback Ultra Lite

Speaking of indoor/outdoor partying, the Keystone Outback Ultra Lite is a trailer with bunkhouse options to fit any RVer. This bunkhouse model has a lot to offer, and not only because it’s all housed on a super sturdy and lightweight aluminum frame.  With 9 floorplans and a few of them serving as bunkhouses, there’s a lot to get excited about with this semi-luxurious travel trailer. Keystone makes quality rigs too, with four-season capable options which is exactly what I need, traveling year-round in my rig. 

The largest model available under the Outback Ultra Lite name includes an outdoor kitchen , a rear bunkhouse, and a large electric fireplace, creating a welcoming interior. The master bedroom features a walk-around bed and a built-in pet kennel underneath with ample storage so our pup can have a dedicated place to sleep and relax.

The living areas on this particular travel trailer are spacious and accommodating, with open kitchens and dining nooks. The u-shaped dinettes can seat the whole family on some models, which is great considering some of these floor plans can sleep up to 10 people! I love it when the whole family can get together for an RVing adventure, but often it can be tricky to sleep everyone, but not in this Keystone rig!

One of the biggest perks of this travel trailer for me is the abundance of outdoor kitchen accessories available. I’m able to utilize a stove, sink, and mini fridge outside the RV, while an entire residential kitchen awaits me indoors should the weather turn bad quickly! Keystone offers multiple comprehensive warranties for their rigs, and I’m instantly reassured by the high-quality construction of each Keystone travel trailer. 

The Outback Ultra Lite is also fit with 4G LTW and Wi-Fi prep for staying connected even in the heart of nature. There’s also ducted heating and cooling which helps to make this rig four-season capable and promises successful all-season adventuring.  There’s a lot on offer with this trailer, especially for those who enjoy both being warm and secure inside an RV, but also heading out into the wilderness at any opportunity!

Best Budget-Friendly: Winnebago Micro Minnie

Out of the 11 floorplans available with the Winnebago Micro Minnie , 4 of them are bunkhouse layouts, creating room to sleep up to 5 people. This isn’t as many as the Palomino Puma, so large families may have to opt for a bigger rig. However, small families or groups of travelers will fit perfectly in this attractive trailer from one of the best budget-friendly RV brands out there!

Winnebago has been in the RV game for some time, and this is reflected throughout all of their rigs, including the Micro Minnie. The smallest floorplan has an overall length of 19′ 5″, while the biggest model measures a substantial 25′ 5″. As the name suggests, the Minnie isn’t the biggest travel trailer out there, but for the price, it boasts an array of great features.

An open galley kitchen equipped with a 3-burner cooktop, convection microwave, and large fridge bring functionality to the trailer and an overall clean kitchen aesthetic. There’s an optional upgrade of European-style cabinetry, but if you don’t mind a more standard finish, keeping away from optional extras will help reduce the final cost.

The large windows throughout this Winnebago allow fresh air to dance throughout the trailer, and help keep things smelling good. I like that the interior isn’t full of storage at every single possibility, and this is thanks to both the interior and exterior storage solutions to keep everything stowed away neatly and securely.

I love spending time outdoors, and although there aren’t too many exterior features with the Micro Minnie, the JBL Premium exterior speakers and powered patio awning with integrated LED lighting help bring personality and fun to the outside of the rig as well. The 200W of solar power on the roof is fantastic for boondocking, but personally, I would like a bit more power so I can run everything in my rig without the use of a noisy generator!

Most Luxurious: Grand Design RV Imagine

Not every floorplan of the Grand Design RV Imagine is a bunkhouse one, but a couple are, and since Grand Design are renowned for producing luxurious rigs, I couldn’t leave the Imagine off our list! Typical of Grand Design RV, the Imagine is constructed with the highest quality possible, with the sidewalls, rear wall, slide-room walls, and slide-room roof all packed with rigid foam insulation.

Not only does this result in a sturdy trailer, but this also means better temperature regulation throughout the year. It’s also possible to walk on the roof which is a game-changer for completing maintenance tasks like covering the RV for summer to prevent sun damage. The enclosed underbelly and double insulated floor also help to regulate the temperature and will help keep the rig in better condition for longer too.

Even the roof is as strong as anything and is backed by an 18-year warranty. I don’t think I’ve seen a warranty this impressive from any other RV! There’s more to the Imagine than just an impressive exterior, however, and the inside of this rig is the dream blend of luxury and practicality. Some of the internal features across select floorplans include double bunk sleeping, a booth dinette, a queen bed, a spacious bathroom with a skylight above the shower, theater seating, and an awning.

It seems Grand Design has thought about pretty much everything with the Imagine, and each layout can be tailored to suit such a diverse range of RVers. This luxury does come at a bit of a higher price than other trailers on our list such as the previously mentioned Winnebago, but the Imagine is a stunning rig, promising adventures far and wide for many years to come.

Best With Slide Outs: Cruiser RV Embrace

Cruiser RV isn’t a name I hear mentioned too often, even though they’ve been in the RV game since 1988! The Cruiser RV Embrace is a travel trailer with 6 different floorplans, with 4 innovative bunkhouse options, ideal for families. The Embrace utilizes slide-outs to enhance the interior space, and this is one of the reasons the interior feels so airy and spacious.

There are many pros and cons to owning a rig with slide-outs as they are another component that will need maintaining, however, they bring extra room and can save the day when last-minute guests want to jump on board for vacation! Starting at just 5,904 lbs and 30′ 8″ in length, the Cruiser Embrace is by no means a small trailer! Measuring in at over 30′ might be too long for some RVers, especially those new to towing.

However, I find practice makes perfect, and my confidence increased substantially after the first few trips I took towing my travel trailer, so don’t lose hope! A couple of layouts are able to sleep upwards of 10 people without a drop of hassle, and this is due to the addition of creative bunk sleeping areas. Along with comfortable beds, there’s also comfortable seating throughout, a dinette, a spacious kitchen, and more to make camping on the road as convenient and fun as possible.

Slide-outs might not be to everyone’s tastes, but in the Embrace, they are fundamental to each and every layout option. The aluminum roof, power awning, underbelly storage, and solar prep, all help make the exterior as impressive as the interior. Upgrading to a 50 amp service is possible with some models, and something I would look into as having more power on board means less stress through cold, dark winters.

Overall, the Cruiser RV Embrace is a solid trailer, equipped with slide-outs, helping create a spacious camper where everyone can feel at home and families can make long-lasting memories. The only downside with this rig for me, is that the holding tanks are only 30 gallons, which is a little on the small side, especially for full-time living and boondocking. However, if this isn’t a dealbreaker, the Embrace is worth considering for a bunkhouse trailer with elegance, slide-outs, and an array of impressive features.

If you are looking for a small RV that is affordable and easy to tow, consider a bunkhouse travel trailer under 25 feet. These RVs may be small, but they have plenty of sleeping space for the whole family.

Winnebago Micro Minnie 1800BH

Length: 21 feet, 11 inches

The Micro Minnie 1800BH is the smallest bunkhouse travel trailer on our list. At just under 22 feet long and 7 feet wide, this trailer is tiny, but has everything you need for a family camping trip. The single bunk beds are located on the driver side rear corner of the RV.

The dinette can also be converted into another bed. A double bed is located in the front of the RV trailer. While many small travel trailer bunkhouses have a flip-up bed, this bed is permanent, so it does not require any effort to set-up.

This mini trailer is also a fully self-contained vehicle. It has a 3-piece bathroom with a porcelain toilet beside the bunks. The galley kitchen has a fridge, a 3-burner cooktop and a convection microwave.

Heartland Pioneer BH170

Length: 22 feet, 5 & 3/4 inches

The 221MSL floorplan is the largest Ember Overland floorplan and can sleep up to six people. The rear bunk area includes an Embertrack system with adjustable, removable bunks. When the bunks are raised or removed, a rear storage door allows the bunk area to be used for kayak or bike storage

Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 30BHS

Length: 34 feet, 5 inches

We toured hundreds of RVs at this year’s Florida RV SuperShow , and the Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 30BHS was by far my favorite bunkhouse floorplan. The unique layout includes rear bunks that extend the width of the RV.

The position of the bunks creates a separate area for kids and makes the beds more accessible. In the front of the RV is a large, private bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom sits between the living area and the bedroom.

The main living area includes an L-shaped dinette, a tri-fold sofa and a fireplace. The kitchen has a full range, a microwave, a double sink, a 12 volt fridge and plenty of counterspace. Arched rafters create a spacious interior with 7 foot ceilings.

Best Large Bunkhouse Travel Trailers

Campers with a big budget will love these enormous bunkhouse travel trailers with luxury features. Enjoy glamping all over the country without having to worry about feeling cramped.

Crossroads Volante VL32FB

Length: 35 feet, 11 inches

The Crossroads Volante VL32FB is a beautiful travel trailer with lots of practical features. The front of the RV houses a private, secondary bedroom with queen over queen bunks, a large wardrobe closet and a chic wood panel wall.

In the back of the trailer is the main bedroom with a king bed and its own entry door. The dual entry bathroom sits beside the rear bedroom.

The main living area includes a huge dinette, a jacknife sofa and a fireplace. The L-shaped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and a double sink.

The second Heartland RV on our list of the best bunkhouse travel trailers is the Trail Runner 31DB. This big rig has much more space and many more exciting features than the tiny Pioneer.

The rear of the RV houses an entire kids’ suite. Inside the suite is a private bedroom with a single over double bunk bed, a shirt closet and a half bathroom. In the front of the trailer is a main bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.

In the main living area, there is a dinette booth and a large sofa. The corner kitchen features bright, white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Perhaps the most unique feature of this RV is the huge pantry, located behind the TV next to the entry door.

Venture SportTrek ST333VIK

Length: 37 feet, 8 inches

Another amazing (and enormous) rear bunkhouse travel trailer is the Venture SportTrek ST333VIK. The bunkroom includes a normal height single bed, and a raised top bunk which sits over a storage cabinet.

The lower bed is perfect both for smaller children who are at risk of falling from higher bunks and teenagers who need more headroom. The huge bunkroom is also great for teenagers because it also has a sofa (with another flip-up bunk above it), a table and a flip-up desk.

Outside the bunkroom is a full (second) bathroom. The other bathroom is located in the front of the trailer next to the main bedroom with a queen bed.

While the bunkroom is the star of this RV, the main living area does not disappoint either. With the optional king dinette, the combination sofa/dining area can comfortably seat 5 to 6 people. The large kitchen has an island and a hutch that makes a perfect coffee station.

Keystone Hideout 38FKTS

Length: 39 feet, 11 inches

Mid-bunk floorplans are super common in fifth wheel RVs, but rare in travel trailers. The Hideout 28FKTS is the best mid-bunk travel trailer available.

The bunkroom includes a upper bunk with a cube bunk below. The cubes can be moved around and used as chairs during the day. A wardrobe, which doubles as a desk completes the room.

The main bedroom has a queen bed and is located in the rear of the trailer. The full bath sits between the two bedrooms. In the main living area, there is a dinette booth, a recliner and a trifold sofa. The front kitchen has white cabinets and tons of storage space.

1. CrossRoads Sunset Trail Travel Trailer SS331BH

The Crossroads Sunset Trail SS331BH has one of the more unique floorplans on this list for a 4-person bunkhouse trailer.

The bunkhouse features a large bunk on the passenger side above the second bedroom’s entertainment center, and across the way, the second bunk flips down above the jack knife sofa that sleeps two in the rear slide-out.

Next door, this travel trailer also has a second half bathroom, with a toilet and vanity sink with a medicine cabinet above and it’s own exit.

Sharing a wall with the rear bathroom, the large entertainment center has a TV above and a fireplace below – one of the few trailers on this list with this cozy feature as standard.

There’s a tri-fold sofa that can sleep two and an extra large dinette booth that can also convert to provide additional sleeping space for two.

Across the room, you’ll find a spacious kitchen island with lots of countertop space around the big stainless steel farmhouse sink with its high-rise faucet and pull-out sprayer.

Behind the island, the rest of the fully-equipped kitchen features a three-burner glass top cooking range over the gas oven, a 30-inch microwave, and an 11 cu.ft. 12-volt refrigerator.

Toward the front of the trailer, you’ll find the pantry and a closet next to the main entry, all underneath unique barreled ceilings for more headspace and a residential feel to the room.

Pass through the main bathroom to get to the master bedroom. This spacious bathroom spans the full width of the trailer, with a foot flush toilet and linen closet behind it, a vanity sink with overhead medicine cabinet, and a large glass-enclosed shower with overhead skylight.

Unique to this travel trailer, you’ll find a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, with wardrobes on either side and spacious overhead storage cabinets.

2. Coachmen Freedom Express Select 31SE Travel Trailer

While many of the different Coachmen models have bunkhouses, one of the top layouts with a four-bunk bedroom at the rear is the Coachmen Freedom Express Select 31SE. 

The driver’s side bunks are on one of the trailer’s two slide-outs, expanding the room’s space when you’re parked in your campsite.

On the opposite side of the trailer, there’s a full outdoor kitchen beneath the bottom bunk.

This model only has one bathroom, but it’s pretty spacious and there is also a hot and cold water outdoor shower that you can use to expand your options for everyone’s hygiene. There’s also a second entrance into the interior bathroom.

Moving into the living area, there is an 88-inch U-shaped dinette with plenty of seating space for everyone, and it converts into a bed for additional sleeping space.

Across the trailer, the kitchen is fully equipped with a pantry, 8 cu.ft. double door refrigerator, three-burner cooktop with a microwave above, and spacious countertops with a double-bowl stainless steel undermount sink and overhead cabinet storage.

There’s also a large entertainment center and theater seats with heat, massage and LED lighting .

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with wardrobes on either side and overhead cabinets above.

The Coachmen Freedom Express Select 31SE features plenty of additional storage throughout and on the exterior of the trailer, with pass-through storage beneath the queen bed area.

3. Highland Ridge Open Range Roamer RT310BHS

The living area in the Highland Ridge Open Range Roamer RT310BHS is slightly different from the travel trailers on this list in that it doesn’t have a sofa in the living area.

Instead, the large slide-out in the living room is an extra-long U-shaped lounge with two tables, which folds out into a queen-sized bed.

There’s a spacious island with countertops, storage, and a large double-bowl sink, and the kitchen slide-out features an 8 cu.ft. fridge, three-burner cooktop and oven, pantry, and plenty of storage and countertop space.

The entertainment center and optional fireplace share an angular wall with the single bathroom in the trailer, which has a 34-inch shower, toilet, and sink with a vanity and medicine cabinet.

The two bedrooms take up the front and rear of the trailer. At the front end, the master bedroom has a queen bed with nightstands on either side, overhead cabinets, and a full wardrobe.

The bunkhouse at the back of the Highland Ridge Open Range Roamer RT310BHS has three bunks, with one over a jack-knife sofa that converts into a bed in the slide-out on the driver’s side.

4. Jayco Jay Flight SLX 294QBS Travel Trailer

We have featured the Jayco Jay Flight SLX 8 294QBS on other lists, and this fantastic travel trailer makes this one as well with its comfortable four-bunk bedroom at the rear of the trailer.

Jayco does a great job making the interiors of their trailers feel residential in style and ambiance, while packing in plenty of storage areas to keep your gear and belongings out of sight.

Enter your Jayco Jay Flight SLX 8 294QBS under the 18-foot awning. The master bedroom is to your right, with a queen-sized bed with wardrobes on either side and a shelf overhead.

The living area is straight ahead, with a bench with storage and an overhead cabinet, the entertainment center, and convertible sofa bed.

To the left, you’ll find your fully-equipped kitchen with a large, 50/50 acrylic sink with brushed nickel faucets, three-burner cooktop range with glass cover, oven with interior light and glass door, microwave, and 6 cu. ft. Norcold® stainless steel refrigerator with temperature controls.

The U-shaped dinette across from the kitchen also converts into another sleeping area, and has plenty of seating for the whole family by day.

There’s also an extra large pantry across from the single bathroom in the trailer, which has a marine toilet with foot-flush, a large walk-in shower with tub surround, and a vanity sink with lots of countertop space and undersink storage.

5. Prime Time Tracer Breeze 31BHD Travel Trailer RV

If you’re in the market for a quad bunk trailer to travel in year-round, the Prime Time Tracer Breeze 31BHD is a great choice.

It is built for extended season camping, with an enclosed and heated underbelly, direct forced air and heated holding tanks, and R-14 insulation in the front cap, roof and floor.

The Tracer Breeze 31BHD is laid out like many of the bunkhouse travel trailers on this list, with the caveat that the bunkhouse features one of the trailer’s two slide-outs so as to expand that bedroom noticeably when camped in your campsite.

There are four bunks and a closet, with additional storage below the driver’s side bunk and a full outdoor kitchen below the passenger side bunk.

There’s only one bathroom in the Prime Time Tracer Breeze 31BHD, but it has extra features to make it feel spacious.

There’s an extended height toilet with foot flush, a large medicine cabinet to store all of your necessities, a large 40-inch shower with bench seating and tub surround, motion sensor lighting and a 12-volt exhaust fan.  

In the kitchen and living area, the 87-inch king booth dinette has tons of seating and converts into a bed that’s almost king-sized.

The pantry is across from the bathroom, and the rest of the kitchen features a large, two-door refrigerator, an upgraded oven with a three-burner cooktop, lighted range hood, and microwave above, seamless countertops and a single basin farm-style sink.

There’s plenty of overhead cabinet storage in the kitchen, and across the room, the comfy sofa converts into a bed and has a great view of the entertainment center with a large 40” TV, LED-lit home theater speakers, and accent rock wall.

The queen master bedroom at the front of the trailer has hanging shirt closets on either side of the bed and an overhead cabinet for even more storage.

6. Keystone Passport Travel Trailer 3351BH GT Series

With sleeping capacity for up to 12 and a second half-bath, the Keystone Passport 3351BH GT is one of the most spacious and functional trailers on this list for groups and large families.

It also has a unique optional pivot furniture for the dinette and sofa, where the dinette seat adjacent to the sofa can pivot to expand the sofa into an L-shaped lounge, or complete the full U-shaped dinette.

The main entrance is directly into the living and kitchen area, where you’ll find L-shaped seamless countertops with a stainless steel sink with a metal high-rise pull-down faucet, three-burner, high output cooking range, microwave and gas oven, and a 6 cu. ft. double-door refrigerator.

There’s trash can storage and a pantry that helps to section off the bunkhouse from the rest of the trailer.

Across from the pantry, the half bath with a toilet and sink has its own exit, so that you can use the bathroom when you’re hanging out under the 20-foot awning or cooking from the outdoor kitchen.

At the rear of the trailer, the spacious bunkhouse has three bunks and a flip-over futon that can sleep two.

The main bathroom is toward the front of the trailer, and has a pedestal foot flush toilet, vanity sink, solid wood medicine cabinet with a mirror, and shower with a tub surround, built-in shelves, and a radius shower curtain.

The master bedroom next door has a queen sized bed and wardrobes and nightstands on either side for storage.

For another unique quad bunk travel trailer layout, the Dutchmen Kodiak Ultimate 3321BHSL has slide-outs on either side of the living area to really expand your interior lounge and cooking space.

You’ll enter the trailer near the single bathroom, and the master bedroom is to the right with a residential 70 by 80-inch king-sized bed with wardrobes on both sides and an overhead cabinet.

There’s access to the bathroom directly from the bedroom as well, and the full bath has a porcelain toilet, spacious shower, and large vanity sink.

Heading out into the main living area, you’ll find the kitchen and entertainment center (complete with a fireplace) on the driver’s side slide-out, and the pantry, theater seats and large dinette with large storage drawers underneath on the passenger side slide-out.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a 10 cu.ft. fridge, a three-burner range cooktop with an oven and glass cover, a microwave, and extra solid surface countertops for food prep.

There’s an island in the middle of the space with lots more countertop space and an oversized, farm-style single bowl sink with a high-rise pull-out faucet.

At the rear of the Dutchmen Kodiak Ultimate 3321BHSL, you’ll find the quad bunk bedroom with terraced bunks on the passenger side, and a flip-up bunk above a convertible dinette on the driver’s side.

There’s plenty of storage throughout the trailer’s interior, with bear cave storage at the front of the trailer featuring oversized baggage doors.

Best Lightweight Travel Trailers Under 4000 Pounds: Our Top Picks

Lightweight travel trailers under 4,000 pounds are easy to tow by some sport utility vehicles and most all light trucks. You won’t need a heavy duty truck to take these travel trailers out on the road. We have researched most of the popular travel trailer manufacturers to see which of their models can meet the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)  of under 4,000 lbs. Here is what we found during our research. The ones listed below are our personal favorites but many of these travel trailers have creative floor plans that meet our criteria.

Our List Of Best Travel Trailers Under 4000 LBS

Coachmen viking (17bh).

When it comes to lightweight travel trailers under 4,000 pounds, it’s hard to beat a Coachmen Viking. These travel trailers are affordable but do not compromise or quality and comfort. Most of the Viking Ultra-Lite models come in under our 4,000 lbs threshold. Towing a Coachmen Viking is a breeze with a typical full-size SUV or light truck. Outside speakers, aluminum rims, power awning, and outside shower are just some of the features.

This ultralight camper features a Norco NXG chassis, double-steps, electric brakes, four scissor-style jacks with pads, a heavy-duty tongue jack, and either single or dual 20 lbs liquid propane tank.

The exterior also has lots of great features such as a diamond plate on the front and rear wall for added protection. An aerodynamic front profile, tinted glass safety windows, power awning, a walk-on Alpha Superflex roof, bathroom skylight, back-up camera prep just to name a few.

Inside you’ll find residential grade linoleum, dark ash cabinets, laminated countertops, 4-inch high-density cushions, 12 volts LED interior lights, stone cast sink, a 2-burner stove, powered range vent, microwave, and lots more. There are some optional packages that add more features.

The 17SBH includes bunk beds and a 54 x 74-inch bed. It has a dry bath (separate tub and toilet) and a dinette and pantry.

Coachmen Clipper Cadet (14CR)

Like the Viking above the Coachmen Clipper is another lightweight travel trailer under 4000 lbs. Designed with fuel-efficient tow vehicles in mind the Clipper has floor plans that start at a GVWR of 3,634 lbs and go up from there, some heavier than 4,000 lbs. The floor plan selected here is the 14CR which has a GVWR of 3,803 lbs.

Being small and lightweight is not an indication that it is short on features. It too has many features like the Viking above just in a slightly smaller package. Since it has the same features as the Viking above I’m not going to repeat them, but suffice it to say both are very capable lightweights.

Clipper Cadet 14CR Specifications:

Venture RV Sonic Lite

Venture RV is not a name I am personally familiar with, however, my research on lightweight travel trailers under 4,000 pounds indicates they make a very well designed camper. Venture’s parent company is K.Z inc which happens to be a subsidiary of Thor Industries. K-Z got started with truck campers back in 1972 so there is lots of experience in this company.

On the construction side of things, the Sonic Lite has several features worth noting. For example, the roof is a one-piece seamless fiberglass roof. It extends from the profile to the rear bumper. The insulation R-value is 14 which makes for a very comfortable environment in most everyday scenarios. The roof rafters are made is aluminum and there is a diamond plate protecting the aerodynamic front profile.

Like the Coachmen above this camper also has an NXG frame . you get a standard manual awning but can upgrade to a powered awning with LED lights.

The sidewalls are 5-sided ivory infused fiberglass. Not sure what makes the ivory infused so special but apparently it’s important enough to Venture RV to mention it.

On the inside, you will find a host of features such as a spacious 60″ x 75″ bed that has USB chargers, as well as storage on the headboard. You also have overhead storage and the bed platform is on hinges allowing you to store more stuff underneath the bed.

The kitchen area features a dual-burner cook-top with a range hood. You also get a full-size convection oven which is pretty nice to have. There is also a pantry for even more food storage.

The bathroom is well laid out and has plenty of space and there is a skylight above the shower.

Added bonus features include backup camera prep, marine-grade detachable power cord, cable, TV and solar prep, and the LevelMate Pro system (optional). The LevelMate Pro calculates and displays the height required to achieve a perfectly level position. There is a lot more than you can view on their website.

Venture RV Sonic Lite Specifications:

The Venture Sonic Lite comes in 7-floor plans so you are bound to find one that meets your needs. It has many of the same features as its bigger brother the Sonic but in a more compact package. The GVWR ranges from 3,500 lbs to 4,000 lbs making this ultralight travel trailer super easy to tow.

• UVW – 2,210 – 2,940 lbs
• Fresh Water: 38 gallons
• Gray Water: 30 gallons
• Black Water: 30 gallons

Winnebago Minnie Drop (1710)

A unique design, excellent use of interior space make the Winnebago Minnie Drop one of our favorite lightweight travel trailers under 4,000 pounds. You can read our review of the Minnie Drop right here.

With 4 floor plans that all have a GVWR of fewer than 4,000 lbs you are sure to find a layout that works for you and can be easily towed.

Like all Winnebago’s the Minnie Drop comes standard with lots of features. The exterior design has a nice collection of colors to please just about any RV enthusiast. The construction consists of an NGX engineered frame, aluminum floor structure, and plywood decking.

Night-shades, custom bedspread, carbon monoxide, and LP detector, as well as a 2-burner stove are included in their list of standard features.

Winnebago Minnie Drop Specification:

• GVWR – 4,000 lbs
• UVW – 2,760 – 3,160 lbs
• Fresh Water: 31 gallons

Airstream Basecamp

Airstream’s entry weighing in at 3,500 lbs GVWR is the Basecamp. The Basecamp is small but it is very well-design like all the other Airstream travel trailers. It is not by any means inexpensive starting at $37,400 but it does, for some, warrant the price

A panoramic front window makes the Basecamp a cool looking travel trailer that is also extremely functional for its small size of 16-feet in length. In 2017 the Airstream Basecamp was voted RV of the year by RV Business Magazine.

There is only one-floor plan available but it is a well-laid out design that is both economical in space but very functional.

The exterior of the Basecamp is a riveted aluminum structure with a very aerodynamic shape. Tammy and I both love the panoramic window and the shape increases fuel efficiency. It also sports a rear hatch door which is usually not found on campers.

There is both an air-conditioning unit and a heating system available that are both optional. The interior decor comes in three options Red Rock, River rock, and Glacier Lake.

Two benches can easily be made into a bed, the rear hatch lets you load up your bike easily. In the kitchen, you have a two-burner stove, a sink with a tempered glass cover, a microwave, and a fridge as well. There are also two removable tables and bench storage.

A pop-up charging station in the kitchen area has two USB ports and a 110-volt outlet. On the exterior, you get a solar pre-wire kit and an outdoor shower. The outdoor shower is really a pass-through from the bathroom.

Airstream Basecamp Specifications:

• GVWR – 3,500 lbs
• UVW – 2,585 lbs
• Fresh Water: 22 gallons

Happier Camper

If you have never looked at a Happier Camper we suggest you do. When it comes to a unique design that is both lightweight and functional we don’t think you will find one better in this weight range. The Adaptiv modular cubes allow you to design the interior of the Happier Camper just about any way you want.

The Happier Camper is not your typical travel trailer. As a matter of fact, I’ve not seen any other camper designed like this one. It has a retro look with very modern features. The interior comes with what they refer to as an Adaptiv modular design.

It allows you to easily and quickly configure the interior pretty much on the fly. For example, the sleeping arrangement can be configured to up to five people. Storage and counter-top option can also be arranged any way you like with the modular component cubes. An added bonus of the cubes is that some of them can double outdoor furniture.

This modular configuration is achievable due to the honeycomb fiberglass modular floor design. IT lets you insert cubes into the floor just like Lego. Pretty cool engineering.

Some of the components available include, cooler icebox, kitchenette with sink, patio table, serving bar, toilet cube and many more.

Happier Camper Specifications:

Can you tell we like Lance? Here we are again with another Lanlightweightght travel trailer. This time it’s the Lance 1475 . This is the smallest travel trailer in the Lance line-up.

Even at this small size, it has a separate shower and toilet which is something we always look for in a small travel trailer. We are not big fans of the wet bath (shower and toilet in one).

It is quickly becoming one of our favorite lightweight travel trailers under 4,000 pounds. Lance has added more flexibility to the floor plan with an optional sofa bed slide out feature. The construction of the Lance 1475 is aluminum-framed sidewalls, floor, and ceiling. The interior panel walls are made from Azdel , and block foam insulation.

The floor and ceiling are laminated and insulated and the roof is a one-piece crowned PVC roof. More standard features on the outside include aluminum wheel and Goodyear radial tires, double-entry step with LED step lighting, exterior wash station, LCD mount bracket, manual tongue, and manual stabilizer bars , skylight, and roof vent in the bedroom and living room area.

The interior is well-appointed too with Euro overhead cabinetry, forced air 14,300 BTU furnace, 5-cubic feet refrigerator, stainless steel 3-burner range with cover, and back-splash. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and LED reading lights. Way to many features to list here so please visit the Lance website for more information.

Jayco Jay Flight SLX 7 (154BH)

The Jayflight SLX 7 offers plenty of room in a small travel trailer. Due to its lightweight, it is very easy to tow. This model is the bunkhouse model that sleeps 3-4 people comfortably. Not one of my favorite models but it is lightweight and affordable. The floor plan is well laid out and does have a separate toilet and shower.

This camper offers a Magnum Truss Roof System, Goodyear Tires with galvanized steel, impact-resistant wheel wells. The construction of the Jay Flight seems to be better than most of its competitors in a similar price range. For example, Jayco offers custom-manufactured frames that offer higher strength and durability according to the company.

The Magnum Roof Truss System uses screws rather than staples, they use oversize nail plates, 2 x 2 vertical wood studs, 7″ header beams. According to Jayco, their roof system can withstand 4,500 pounds which are 50% heavier than their competition. The frame is a fully-integrated A-frame, on a 3-inch cambered, steel box tube frame.

There is quite a bit of standard equipment including but not limited to, maple cabinets, pantry storage, acrylic sink, 2-burner stove, 3-cubic feet refrigerator, microwave oven, fancy-looking brushed nickel faucets, and 8,000 BTU A/C wall-mounted, high-quality vinyl flooring, premium sound system and much more.

Jayco Jayflight 154BH Specification:

• GVWR – 3,250 lbs

Lightweight travel trailers under 4000 lbs have many advantages. Typically smaller and more compact, these RVs are easy to tow and park. But there is a tradeoff. Less square footage also means manufacturers are forced to pick and choose which amenities to include and which to skip. Thankfully, innovative floorplans and advancements in manufacturing are revolutionizing the lightweight camper industry.

What’s the Difference Between Dry Weight and GVWR?

When talking about camper weight, it’s important to distinguish between dry weight and GVWR, or gross vehicle weight rating. Dry weight refers to how much the camper weighs when it rolls off the production line. This measurement doesn’t consider any fluids or other cargo on board.

Alternately, GVWR refers to the maximum total safe weight of the camper as advised by the manufacturer. Always reference GVWR when looking at your vehicle’s towing capacity and your camper’s carrying capacity.

Dry weight can be a noteworthy statistic. But GVWR refers to the total amount the camper weighs as it rolls down the road and is, therefore, the more important measurement. That’s why we only included travel trailers under 4000 lbs GVWR is on our list of the best lightweight campers.

The Importance of Towing Beneath Your Vehicle’s Tow Capacity

If you exceed your vehicle’s towing capacity, the results can be disastrous. An overloaded towing setup can cause the travel trailer to sway. This, in turn, can cause you to crash. If you get into an accident, insurance companies often refuse to pay once they learn you’ve exceeded your vehicle’s towing capacity.

Even if you avoid an accident, towing beyond your limits can damage the vehicle. Overloading your tow vehicle can strain the engine and transmission and cause your brakes and tires to wear faster.

A good rule of thumb is to choose a camper with GVWR at 90% or below your vehicle’s towing capacity for extra safety. For travel trailers under 4000 lbs GVWR, you’ll want to choose a vehicle with a tow rating of at least 4,444 lbs.

The Sol Dawn is InTech’s unique take on a teardrop camper. Its unique design boasts more headroom and more natural light than traditional teardrops. This is partly because of the classic InTech front panoramic window that spans the front of the camper.

Surrounded by this window is the multi-configurable U-shaped dinette. You can use this space to dine or as two twin beds. Simply pivot the table, and you can create a space that’s a half bed and half dinette. A final option is to drop the table down and create one large oversized bed. Regardless of your configuration, you’ll have easy access to the many overhead front storage cabinets.

Beyond the versatility of the front seating/sleeping area, the Sol Dawn boasts one of the best wet baths on the market. The door is double-sealed to prevent any water leakage. Although geared towards couples, the InTech Sol Dawn is a versatile little camper that can also work well for friends or young families. If you decide to get the off-road version, the upgraded features add a bit more weight, but you’ll find it’s worth it as you head into the backcountry.

5. Xtreme Outdoors Little Guy Mini Max

⛔ Storage space is in short supply in this teardrop camper.

From the outside, this travel trailer under 4000 lbs resembles other traditional teardrops. But unlike other teardrop campers, the Xtreme Outdoors Little Guy Mini Max’s kitchen is located inside rather than in an outdoor back hatch. 

You might worry that the Mini Max would feel less spacious by moving the kitchen inside than some of its counterparts. Surprisingly, Min Max creates an open floorplan by tucking the kitchen and bathroom under the camper’s curved front wall.

The main bed that converts into a dinette by day is another feature that opens up the Mini Max floor plan. Couples who love the look and aerodynamic benefits of a teardrop, but the openness of a traditional travel trailer, will love the Little Guy Mini Max.

6. Palomino Puma Ultra Lite 16BHX 

✅ The Puma Ultra Lite 16BHX boasts sleeping space for five, making it a great lightweight camper for big families.

⛔ Despite its nearly 22-foot length, the Ultra Lite 16BHX has a smaller-than-average dinette that may be a tight fit for a large family.

At nearly 22 feet in length, the Palomino Puma Ultra Lite 16BHX is one of the longest on our list of the best travel trailers under 4000 lbs. Palomino expertly uses that space to create a floor plan perfect for families. With bunk beds, a dinette bed, and a front queen bed, this RV easily accommodates a family of five.

In addition to the ample sleeping room, young families will also appreciate the tub shower in the bathroom. Unlike many other compact campers that only offer a wet bath, the Puma Ultra Lite has a tub/shower combo large enough to give little ones a bath.

The RV is great for families because of the sleeping and bathroom arrangement. But, you’ll find the tradeoff is that the Puma Ultra Lite offers only a limited amount of kitchen storage and a smaller-than-typical dinette. Still, this camper under 4000 lbs could be a perfect choice for families that prefer outdoor picnic table meals.

7. Jayco Jay Flight SLX 154BH

⛔ This Jay Flight has no dedicated owner’s bedroom space. Instead, it boasts an oversized dinette that transforms into a bed at night.

The Jayco Jay Flight SLX 154BH is another great family travel trailer under 4000 lbs. Measuring nearly four feet shorter, this Jay flight offers many of the same features of the Palomino in an even smaller footprint. 

You’ll find sturdy, plywood-constructed bunk beds that each accommodate up to 300 pounds. Unlike the bunks in other small campers, these are 80% enclosed. This is a great setup for younger children because it safeguards against rolling and provides a less distracting sleep environment.

Like the Palomino, this Jay Flight also has a convenient tub/shower combo. One difference you’ll notice between the Palomino and the Jay Flight is the latter has a much larger and deeper dinette. Parents will have to transform the dinette into a bed each night. But for families that don’t mind this extra step and appreciate a table that can seat the whole crew, the Jay Flight SLX 154BH is a great choice.

8.  Braxton Creek Bushwhacker Plus 17BH

✅ The Bushwhacker Plus 17BH is one of the only teardrop campers to sleep four and offer bunk beds.

⛔ Although this travel trailer is large by teardrop standards, it isn’t quite large enough to incorporate a dry bath. Instead, you’ll find a shower/toilet combo situated right in the middle of your living space.

The Bushwhacker Plus 17BH is an exceptional travel trailer under 4000 lbs. It’s rare to find a teardrop camper that sleeps more than two, but this Bushwhacker Plus does just that.

All of the sleeping spaces in this travel trailer are tucked under the lowest curved parts of the ceiling. This allows you to enjoy the aerodynamic and fuel-efficient benefits of the teardrop shape without sacrificing headroom in the main living space.

The bunks span the width of the front of the camper, while the main bed/dinette spans the back. While in dinette mode, the table pivots so you can easily fit the whole family. Like all No Boundaries campers by Forest River, the NOBO 10.6 is designed to go anywhere. Offroad tires, an enclosed underbelly, and a torsion flex axle with independent suspension allow this small camper to be towed just about anywhere. Once off the beaten path, boondockers will appreciate the space for two deep cycle batteries and the included solar prep.

Designed to get you out and enjoying the great outdoors, this travel trailer under 4000 lbs has an exclusively outdoor kitchen. Interior space is reserved for a basic sofa that transforms into a bed. The KZ RV Escape E17 Hatch is an unconventional and very versatile toy hauler trailer under 4000 lbs. Like other toy haulers, the back area of this camper converts from a garage to a living space. However, the hatch feature is unique compared with a typical toy hauler’s ramp.

Although this hatch provides a nice secondary awning for outdoor living, the lack of a ramp makes loading heavier vehicles difficult. Since the carrying capacity and garage space are both small, it’s best to stick to hauling toys like bikes and kayaks in this small travel trailer. Still, the convenient back hatch makes loading and unloading these toys and other camping essentials much easier.

What the Escape E17 lacks in garage space makes up for in interior amenities. The modern farmhouse decor gives the camper an upscale feel. The huge wardrobe, full-length pantry, and large refrigerator are all features not typically found in other toy haulers at this price point.

I don’t generally place much emphasis on dry weight because I want my RV to be fully loaded. So, from my perspective, the gross weight is an important weight that I will consider when determining whether or not I will be able to tow the travel trailer. 6 Best Bunkhouse Travel Trailers Under 35 Feet

A travel trailer under 35 feet can fit in a majority of campsites and is easier to maneuver than other large trailers.

A bunkhouse travel trailer is a type of towable RV with an extra bedroom with bunks. Depending on the floor plan, a bunkhouse can include sleeper sofas, desks, a dresser and additional storage space and features.

How Much Does a Bunkhouse Travel Trailer Cost?

The cost of a bunkhouse travel trailer depends on several things: Size, brand, features, siding and more are all something to take into account when considering the cost of one of these RVs. The average price starts at around $30,000. 

Aluminum vs Fiberglass Travel Trailers

When deciding on an RV, the frame material of the camper is something to consider.  Towable RVs come with either aluminum or fiberglass siding. The aluminum RV typically has ridges while fiberglass campers have smooth siding.

Aluminum trailers are cheaper because of the material and if there is any damage, it is easier to fix and replace just a shingle compared to a whole side. Aluminum campers also tend to have layers on the siding with a wood frame, fiberglass insulation and dead air space under the outer, aluminum frame. The extra insulation adds an additional layer of warmth over other RV types.

Fiberglass sidings are much easier to maintain and keep clean because of the smooth siding and hold a much better resale value because of this. Another benefit to fiberglass campers is that it is typically more lightweight and aerodynamic. This creates a better gas mileage for the tow vehicle and saves campers money.

The Grand Design Transcend Xplor 265BH is 32’9” in length and offers families a small double-over double bunk area in the back of the camper. There is a dry weight of 6,327 pounds and a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,995 pounds. There are a hanging wardrobe space and storage steps by the double bunks as well for additional storage.  The Transcend is Grand Design's aluminum siding travel trailer.

The living room has a 32” LED TV on the entertainment center, a jackknife sofa, and a large u-shaped dinette you can fit the whole family around. The full bathroom has a large walk-in shower as well as plenty of counter space as well. The main private bedroom in the front of the RV offers a queen bed, overhead storage, TV prep and a private entry. The bunkhouse on this particular brand is a little modified and is closed off by the sofa and a step up with the side closest to provide privacy.

The Winnebago Micro Minnie 2306BHS is a compact and lightweight travel trailer at 25’5” long and a gross vehicle weight rating of 6,000 pounds and a dry weight of 4,668 pounds. 

It has a galley kitchen with a flip-up countertop for extra food prep space. There is a booth dinette, TV, pantry and a sofa with a fold-down murphy bed. The spacious bathroom features a linen closet and a walk-in shower. There are bunk beds in the back of the RV, making the Micro Minnie a great option for small families who have a small tow vehicle and still want to make unforgettable memories.

The 33’4” long Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty Edition 292BHDSLE is a great RV for outdoor lovers. The Freedom Express is a laminate siding travel trailer and has a dry weight of 7,058 pounds and a gross vehicle weight rating of 9,500 pounds.

The interior of this model offers even more features including a fireplace entertainment center, 88” u-shaped dinette and a full bathroom with a tub/shower. The freshwater capacity is 48 gallons, gray water is 38 gallons and black water is 28 gallons.

When you first step into the Cherokee Grey Wolf, there is a main private bedroom to the right with a queen bed and lots of storage. The common area has a fireplace with TV mount, pantry, and a full kitchen set up with a dinette. There is a full bathroom in the back as well as double bed bunk beds with a bunk ladder.

The Keystone Springdale 298BH is a 32’8” long travel trailer with enough room to sleep up to ten people comfortably. There is a private front bedroom, bunkhouse in the back and a comfortable sofa to provide extra sleeping space, making it perfect for large groups.
