BTS Tears Up At Emotional Finale Of "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" Tour
BTS and their fans ARMY said a farewell to their “Love Yourself” era at the final concert of their world tour.
On October 29, BTS staged the third and last day of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final]” concerts in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium. This was the finale to the group’s “Love Yourself” world tour that began in August 2018 and its extended stadium tour titled “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself,” which saw them performing around the globe in legendary venues such as the Rose Bowl and Wembley Stadium. The three-day finale included the group performing for over 130,000 fans.
As BTS started the show on October 29, RM welcomed everyone to the final concert on their tour and promised they’d do their best. V said, “We’re going to use all the energy we have left.”
Suga commented, “Do you remember when we first met last year at the Olympic Stadium? I feel like it was just yesterday when I said it was like a dream, but it’s already been a year now.” RM added, “It’s thanks to all of you that we were able to perform concerts for a year in many different places.”
BTS performed many of their hits and fan-favorite songs throughout the show, including their solo tracks.
During the concert, J-Hope pointed out that it was the 62nd show on the tour. “It’s really amazing,” he said. He then asked the other members to name the solo performance that left the biggest impression on them.
Jungkook picked Jimin ‘s “Serendipity” while Jin said, “I haven’t forgotten the first time that I saw Suga perform ‘Seesaw’ last year.” Jimin said, “I think all of the members’ songs are gems. We’re going to keep having fun until the end, right?”
Jungkook joked that it was then time for them to see J-Hope perform his song “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and while J-Hope was surprised he pulled off the choreo perfectly on the spot.
When the group later wrapped up the show, the members appeared emotional and some cried. V said to fans, “You really worked hard while supporting our tour. You could say that the tour was short or that it was long. We’ve seen a lot of ARMY while traveling around the world, and I found that there’s really nothing more beautiful than ARMY. I love you.”
J-Hope said, “We’re now artists who fill up the Olympic Stadium for three days. I feel like we’ve received a lot of love. This is our last stop on the tour. I remember always feeling sad and reluctant to end it when we come to the final moment, but I think this time it will be less so. I’ve felt a lot and learned a lot. ”
Jimin commented, “I hope you won’t feel sad today. Instead of being sad, I’m personally so curious and excited to see what we’ll do and how we’ll have fun at our next concert. Because of that, we’ll prepare it quickly.” Jungkook shared that he’s also excited to see what they’ll do next and said, “In return for the energy that you’ve all given us, we’re going to repay you with even more energy for our upgraded next album and concert.”
Suga said, “If there’s a beginning then there’s an end, and if there’s an end then there’s another beginning. I think this concert is another new beginning.”
Jin shared that he’d felt sad when singing his solo song “Epiphany” because he was thinking about how it was the last time he’d do so. “That’s how I was feeling when I was singing, but then at the end when I was up there looking at everyone, I smiled a bit,” he explained. “I thought, ‘Something’s ended’ and ‘I won’t be doing this song anymore,’ and I had mixed emotions because it was both good and sad. And it really hit me suddenly during ‘Mic Drop’ earlier when we did our final goodbyes and performed.”
RM said, “I want to give a round of applause to BTS and ARMY who have endured for the past two and a half years in order to love ourselves.” He stated that although the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour had ended, the path and journey to find ways to love themselves hasn’t ended. He cried as he said, “I wish there was something even better than the word ‘love,’ but I really love you. I’ll keep loving you even more in the future.”
Fans are thanking BTS and celebrating moments from the show as they take over the top five trending topics worldwide on Twitter!

BTS are bringing their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour to an end this week, back home in South Korea, where it all started! They kicked off a three-night grand finale stint in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, October 26th and October 27th.
They treated fans to a 23-song setlist where they performed all their best hits including new licks like set opener "Dionysus." They've performed this track around 20 times this year alone.
They also played "Best of Me" and "Boy with Luv," their two most performed songs from the tour. Fans also got to hear licks like "Anpanman," "Epiphany," "Euphoria," "FAKE LOVE," "Make it Right," and more! The setlist was mostly made up of non-album singles, but also included cuts off of MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, WINGS, and FACE YOURSELF. There's literally no room for disappointment when it comes to their setlists.
Embedded content is no longer available.
They didn't do an encore but 23 songs was plenty - even though the BTS Army could argue that they could play all night and it still wouldn't be enough! They ended the night on "Mikrokosmos." See the full setlist below:
The ARMY also seems to think BTS hinted at the name of their next album during the set, bring either Shadow or Ego .
“The use of shadows within [the VCRs] was very prominent and the idea of time stopping and being controlled as well,” one Twitter fan explained . We'll just have to wait and see, but the ARMY is meticulous when it comes to details!
The Love Yourself Tour initially began August 2018 before it expanded to a stadium tour. This past weekend, the talk of the shows wasn't only about the performance alone, but Jimin's new look got a lot of attention too! Check it out:
Their third and finale show will be tomorrow night, October 29th at the Jamsil Sports Complex. That's not the end for BTS in 2019, however. The boys will make their way back to the States for a one-off show in Los Angeles on December 6th at The Forum. You can check out all their dates, and keep tabs on the K-Pop superstars over on their website !

Bts break down in tears at their final “speak yourself” concert.
ARMY s are tearfully bidding farewell to BTS ‘s Speak Yourself tour, and so are the members.
On October 29, BTS held the last day of their 3-day Speak Yourself [The Final] concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium. The journey to this moment began on August 11, 2017, when BTS released the promotional Love Yourself posters, and it continued through the last album in the Love Yourself series, Love Yourself: Answer .
Love Yourself carried on into 2019, overlapping with the new Map of the Soul: Persona era, through the Love Yourself and Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tours. It officially came to an end with BTS’s final Love Yourself: Speak Yourself concert.
“Hello, Seoul!” BTS tweeted from their official Twitter account. “Hope you can love yourself more today than yesterday! From LY tour to SY tour, 62 concerts felt long and short! Thank you ARMYs, for your support and love to the very end. Good Bye SY!”

Throughout the concert, the members were overwhelmed with feelings of joy, sadness, and love. Jungkook cried while singing “Mikrokosmos”…

…and Jin ‘s heartwarming smile turned to tears during the Ending Ment. By the end of the show, there wasn’t a dry eye on stage or in the audience…
…especially when RM gave his moving speech.
“…though Love Yourself: Speak Yourself ends here, the journey, the path, to finding how to love ourselves doesn’t,” he said. “In the future too, let’s hold hands and figure out how to love ourselves together. All right?”

Here’s What Went Down at BTS’ ‘The Final’ World Tour Concert in Seoul

Days after BTS earned their first nomination for the tour of the year category at this year’s forthcoming American Music Awards, the band was home in Seoul for the conclusion of their record-breaking love Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour — fittingly titled “The Final.”
As artists at the top of their industry, as well as perfectionist performers, there is always a pressure on BTS, but the expectations were arguably higher on Tuesday (October 29) for the group to end a bigger-than-ever note and make no question of their place in the live scene.
Hours before the first song, fans spent the day surrounding South Korea’s massive Seoul Olympic Stadium’s outside grounds, which resembled a BTS amusement park. Posters and murals of the guys were in prime selfie position, music videos played for concert attendees to chant along to, the “ARMY wall” allowed fans to write personal messages to the group, photo studios allowed (digital versions of) the members for fans to snap a pic with, and a booth was in place for fans to learn more about BTS and UNICEF’s “Love Myself” campaign. All of this made for a full-day experience.
As they have throughout this tour, the K-pop icons opened their set with Map of the Soul: Persona standout “Dionysus,” featuring the septet perched regally on a set of thrones in the middle of a stage setup inspired by ancient Greece. Undeniably a metaphor for their near-godly place in the pop scene, the guys plowed through high-energy performances of “Not Today” (bringing out an army of back-up dancers) and “Wings” (where they showcased their natural ability to freestyle and make a giant stage feel fun and intimate). Nothing was technically too different from their past Love Yourself: Speak Yourself concerts, but the blasts of glittery fireworks, pyrotechnics that literally warmed up the stadium, and new fashion looks from the members all set the stage for the show to be taken to another level.

From the visuals to the vocals, the members’ individual performances all felt most notably upgraded from what they had previously shown.
BTS’ rappers carried themselves on stage with a newfound energy (J-Hope’s all-red suit-pant combo that embodied his infectious-yet-slick charm for “Trivia: Just Dance,” RM comforted the hyped crowd with the feel-good anthem “Trivia: Love,” while Suga glowed with sweet, superstar smiles at the camera as he rocked a cozy sweater). The vocalists seemed eager to top themselves from the past (Jimin’s effortless vocals shined through a bubbly take on “Intro: Serendipity,” while Jungkook delivered even more chill-inducing ad-libs while being hoisted around on zipline for “Euphoria”).
Meanwhile, V and Jin boasted a reinvigorated sense of artistry — the former’s performance of “Singularity” looked like a music video with overhead camera shots and V’s moody-mysterious delivery, while Jin delivered a matured-yet-pained take on his “Epiphany” ballad that made the audience cheer anytime the screen showed a closeup of his profile.
But perhaps the most stirring part of “The Final” show came during the last moments, when the group addressed the audience one more time, culminating in a speech from RM. The members spoke about their feelings with the concert (“I used to think about the parts that I could have done better towards the end, but this time, I wasn’t thinking about that,” J-Hope shared), while expressing gratitude to those who came tonight (“Today, I just want to tell you how thankful I am,” said V), and assuring them a new album and tour would come to “get back to you with new energy,” as Jungkook put it.
When leader RM finally addressed the crowd, his usual wise and peaceful demeanor cracked with teary confessions as he recounted the journey throughout this tour. “After receiving great feedback for The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, I was worried if everyone would participate in this journey,” he shared, referencing the group’s breakout releases that landed them on the Billboard 200 , before making a candid confession that he’s truly embraced the message of BTS’ Love Yourself albums. “Now, if someone asks me whether I love myself, I think I can say that I do.”
RM continued, “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself ends here, but our journey to find ways to love ourselves will continue, so let’s hold each other’s hands and move forward. After this tour, I really hope that RM could be RM, BTS could be BTS, and you could be you under the name of ARMY. I hope that even one word, one lyric that I write can be used by you, for loving yourselves. I feel sad that [the] Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour is over. I wish there was a better word than ‘I love you.’ This [next] song [“Mikrokosmos”] is dedicated to you as appreciation for being our universe and our love.”
BTS' Epic Music Video for 'Make It Right' With Lauv Is a Homage to ARMY: Watch
The finale song elicited a light-show where more than 300 drones lit up the sky to create planet shapes, as well as the BTS and ARMY logos — a true BTS World — before the guys were carted around the stadium to wave to the fans in the upper sections and come together for one final bow together.
What BTS has accomplished with this tour, and in their career at large, is already award-worthy as underdog artists breaking into a music industry that still seems puzzled how to accept them. The grandeur, the fan engagement, the staging and the music already wowed more than two million attendees around the world, but the emotions that came packed inside the “The Final” concert of BTS’ Speak Yourself: Love Yourself World Tour truly showed why the group deserves the title of tour of the year. This wasn’t just a successful concert; it was a confirmation that the groups’ developing artistry and growing emotional intelligence continue to lead them to continuously break through the industry and beyond.

BTS bring the ‘Love Yourself’ era to a close with powerful and moving homecoming show in Seoul
The Korean band held a run of three sold-out nights at Seoul's Olympic Stadium to close this chapter of their story
As the sun sets behind the curved edge of Seoul’s Olympic Stadium tonight (October 29), pastel hues of pink, blue, and purple brush against each other in the sky, mirroring the artwork of BTS ’ 2018 album ‘Love Yourself: Answer’. It’s a fitting tapestry to hang over the venue tonight where, down below, the seven-piece Korean group are about to bring the ‘Love Yourself’ era to a close with the last of three sold-out hometown shows.
- READ MORE: The five must-see things at BTS’ House Of BTS pop-up
This chapter in BTS’ story so far has undoubtedly been their most powerful. When they stood on this same stage last August at the very beginning of the ‘Love Yourself’ world tour, they were already a force to be reckoned with – one that was troubling the charts in the States and selling out arenas across the globe. But in the 430 days since those first two shows, they’ve gone on a journey from a big deal to the biggest one around, breaking records and making history at a pace no one else can keep up with. They’ve topped the charts in the US and UK , sold out iconic venues like Wembley Stadium and Stade de France, and become the most talked-about band on the planet thanks to their music, message, and dedicated fans.
With those achievements and more glittering on the path behind them, tonight is obviously going to be emotional. Their annual “muster” fan meetings aside, these three shows are the first time BTS have held their own concerts in Korea since kicking off the tour, making it something of a jubilant homecoming. The excitement of ARMYs in Seoul is palpable as soon as you step off the train at Jamsil – the subway is swarming with fans of all ages as they gather to film videos of the band members on a giant screen, take photos with a timeline of singer Jungkook’s career so far that takes up entire walls of the corridor, or just hurry to get out and into the thick of the action. Outside the stadium, they swap photo cards and stickers and hand out homemade packages to fellow fans in the spirit of communion. Inside, the cheers for the music videos shown before the gig’s start grow louder and more passionate as stage time draws nearer.
The arrival of a red-bathed VCR that could double as a high-fashion advert on the screens either side of the stage means it’s BTS o’clock. After the cinematic prelude, a dark LED curtain raises along the length of the stage to reveal a digital Grecian palace with two giant inflatable panthers looming over the band and their dancers. As with every other date on the ‘Speak Yourself’ tour extension, ‘Dionysus’ gets things going in boisterous form before ‘Not Today’ puts an us-against-the-world spin on the aggressive start.
A fixture of the ‘Love Yourself’ tour has been each member performing their own solo song, each with its own unique but equally enthralling stage production. Tonight is likely the last time we’ll get to see these performances (Jin basically confirms as much later) and, for the occasion, new VCRs have been made. These fresh clips feel more befitting for a band who’ve grown so much in the last 14 months – still playful, still cute (apart from V’s, whose could also serve as his audition to be cast in a haunting noir thriller), but more mature.
Jungkook pointing out armys to his heart while saying the lines for the last time "you are the cause of my euphoria" ??? #SpeakYourselfTheFinal_D3 @BTS_twt pic.twitter.com/mU8QmGNkz5 — TIN-틴 ? (@taebokkiii) October 29, 2019
The performances that follow each show similar progression too. J-hope’s ‘Trivia: Just Dance’ has never been more powerful than when he’s hopping from moving neon block to moving neon block in a cherry-red suit and mint-tinted glasses. Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ receives hushed reverence until he’s strapped to a black pole and sent on one final angelic flight around the stadium’s sky, physically reaching the highs a BTS concert makes you feel. Jimin’s ‘Serendipity’ is another chance to watch a lyrical dancer write poetry with his movements, the bubbles weaving between the crowd making it feel like we’re all in the snow globe the singer is encased in when he appears on stage. RM’s ‘Trivia: Love’ comes backed with an upgrade on the fancy on-screen graphics debuted this summer, including one bit where the word “love” appears in different languages, housed inside the ARMY logo. It’s stunning to look at, but so is his performance without these tricks – a masterclass in commanding a huge stage as just one person.
really last this epiphany?? #LoveYourselfSpeakYourself #SpeakYourselfTheFinal_D3 pic.twitter.com/jBTkgeM0mO — ig;ssinta_ (@park_syin) October 29, 2019
Later, V has the entire stadium in the palm of his hand in ‘Singularity’, each move as he acts as if he’s just woken up in bed wearing a raven-feathered cloak so precise and deliberate, each stare to the camera smouldering and intense. Suga puts in perhaps his finest performance of ‘Trivia: Seesaw’ yet, reminding the world he has more strings to his bow than just rapper and producer, while Jin does away with his piano on ‘Epiphany’ and puts the focus on his phenomenal voice instead, producing chills that no BTS x Fila blanket (each seat in the stadium is adorned with one to keep fans warm) can ward off.

As the show progresses, so the band’s natural goofiness begins to push itself more and more into the spotlight until the encore, which, as tradition now dictates, sees things hit their dorkiest peak. Now clad in their own merch, BTS pull fingerhearts out of cross-body bags like postmen delivering the most precious of Valentines. They jump around on an updated version of this summer’s bouncy slide during ‘Anpanman’, buoyantly headbang their way through ‘So What’, and conduct ARMY bomb waves as if this is their first time seeing the lightsticks change colour across the venue in synchronicity. It’s beautiful silly and infectiously fun, and enough to win over even the most cynical sourpuss.
bangtan being ridiculous, namkook being namkook, tae hitting the woah, and joon @ the end…. i love this family ? #SpeakYourselfTheFinal_D3 pic.twitter.com/C9Jc83eeGe — adiba (@780613) October 29, 2019
As well as being known for their giddy chaos, BTS shows also have a habit of being incredibly poignant too. Tonight, the band have made their own banners with a message for their fans – a reverse of what ARMYs create for the group at every show. “ARMY are the stars embroidered across the BTS galaxy,” reads the slogan the seven members proudly hold over their heads after ‘Make It Right’. Before the encore, another VCR looks back on the ‘Love Yourself’ era, with close-up shots of each member looking at the camera. They’re silent but their sincere gratitude shines through their eyes and their soft smiles.

Then there are the ending speeches. Jin has to turn his back on the crowd for a minute to regain his composure during his, tears sparkling in his eyes, while RM breaks down in sobs as he reflects on the last couple of years. “I wish there was a better word than love,” he concludes between heaving breaths. “But I truly love you.” The members who don’t cry are just as moving, particularly Jimin. After comparing dancing to feeling like he’s in another place, he adds: “ I think the moment when I’m with you guys is like that as well. I feel like I’m in a different world and I feel happy all the time. Thank you for making us another world.”
Minutes later, as if to reinforce his point, 300 drones form the shape of planets and the BTS and ARMY logos as the band sing an emotional ‘Mikrokosmos’ below. Lit up in purple, it’s like watching a star system be pulled by gravity towards BTS’ own planet, and a moment that’s only rivalled for position as the icing on the night’s cake by the slew of fireworks that conquer the sky much like the band have conquered the world.
“This concert is final but it’s also another start,” Suga notes wisely earlier in the night. Right now, no one outside of BTS’ camp knows for sure what that start will be and what will come next. Whatever it is though, you can bet it will be even bigger and even better than the highest of their highs so far.
BTS played:
‘Dionysus’ ‘Not Today’ ‘Wings’ ‘Trivia: Just Dance’ ‘Euphoria’ ‘Serendipity’ ‘Trivia: Love’ ‘Boy With Luv’ ‘Dope’ ‘Baepsae’ ‘Burning Up (Fire)’ ‘Run’ ‘Singularity’ ‘Fake Love’ ‘Trivia: Seesaw’ ‘Epiphany’ ‘The Truth Untold’ ‘Tear’ ‘Mic Drop’ ‘Idol’ ‘Anpanman’ ‘So What’ ‘Make It Right’ ‘Mikrokosmos’
