Advertising, bbc celebrity antiques road trip 2023 line up and when to watch.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden is set to feature in the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on BBC next week alongside other famous faces from shows like Love Island and Loose Women.
Dowden, who hails from Caerphilly in Wales, will compete alongside Dragons' Den's Sara Davies on the show.
Davies also featured on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 as a contestant - paired with Aljaž Skorjanec.
The Strictly pair will now swap the dance floor for the antiques show as they compete against other celebrities to uncover the best antiques and make the most money at auction.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amy-Dowden (@amy_dowden)
Dragons’ Den star Davies said: “I’d always heard what an incredible adventure Antiques Road Trip is.
“Being with Amy made it even more special for me, and to be able to spend that time together and share the experience was just brilliant.”
Dowden is currently taking treatment after announcing in June that she had undergone a mastectomy following a stage three breast cancer diagnosis.
She took to Instagram last week to give fans a health update revealing she was taking part in her fifth round of chemotherapy.
This followed the Strictly professional - who is not competing in the 2023 series of the BBC show due to her cancer battle - revealing she had taken "the hardest step so far" in her treatment, shaving her hair off .
Who will be on the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip?
Strictly professional Amy Dowden and Dragons' Den's Sara Davies are not the only famous faces taking part in the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip which will air on BBC Two and iPlayer next week.

The other famous faces taking part in the new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip are:
- Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti ( Love Island UK 2022 winners)
- Gemma Collins (reality star) and Melvin Odoom (BBC Radio 1 presenter)
- Samantha Fox and Sinitta (1980s pop stars)
- Geeta and Krishnan Guru-Murthy (news anchor siblings)
- Paul Merton and Suki Webster (husband-and-wife comedy duo)
- Christine McGuinness (documentary-maker) and Colson Smith (Coronation Street)
- Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards (Loose Women)
Sanclimenti said it had been a “pleasure” competing on the show, adding: “There was healthy competition between Ekin and I, and we had lots of fun as we supported each other through the experience.
“I learned a lot about antiques and how appearances can be deceiving; something may look like it could be worth a lot, but it may just be more sentimental value.”

Sinitta said the show provided the “perfect opportunity” for her to spend some time with Fox after they had tried to catch up for years.
“We laughed non-stop like time had stood still. It felt so cool driving through the country lanes like pop music’s answer to Thelma and Louise,” she added.
When to watch Celebrity Antiques Road Trip 2023?
BBC commissioning editor, Muslim Alim, said: “It’s great to have Celebrity Antiques Road Trip back on BBC Two this autumn with another exciting list of celebrity duos and a plethora of weird and wonderful items that will have you guessing till the last minute on their profit potential.”

How The Event Works
You've received your ticket, decided which two treasures to bring along, and now you're ready to hear the history behind your items. As you prepare to attend an ANTIQUES ROADSHOW taping event, here's what you can expect.
8 Easy Steps
Step 1: Are You Ready for Some ROADSHOW?
Before you come to the event, don't forget your ticket and two items for appraisal.
Step 2: It's Show Time!
On the day of the event, please plan to arrive at the venue no earlier than 30 minutes before the entrance time on your ticket. Present your ticket to the volunteers at the entrance and your ROADSHOW adventure begins.
Step 3: Waiting in the Wings
You will enter the event and line up according to the time on your ticket. Please wear comfortable shoes as many venues have various surfaces, including concrete, grass, stairs, and inclines. If you or your guest have difficulty standing for long periods of time, please bring a small, lightweight, and portable chair or wheelchair. While you wait to enter the appraisal and television production area, you'll enjoy meeting fellow guests and seeing their special items.
Step 4: Show Us Your Items
After waiting in the appropriate line according to the time on your ticket, it is time to show your treasures to a generalist appraiser who will give you two appraisal category tickets for the items you've brought. Each category ticket will allow you to receive one appraisal. There are over 20 categories in all, everything from Folk Art to Furniture.
Step 5: Ready for Your Close-Up?
When you have your category tickets, a volunteer will guide you to the appropriate appraisal line to learn the history and value of your item. Some tables will be busier than others, so you may have to wait in line again before you meet one of our appraisers. If an appraiser thinks your treasure would make an interesting TV segment, he or she will call for a producer to see if your items should be taped for the show. If selected, you'll be escorted to the Green Room, where you'll have make-up applied, sign a release, and wait for your turn to be on camera!
Step 6: Take a Bow
Once you've received your appraisals, and as you exit the production area, you may want to stop by the "Feedback Booth" for a chance to record some thoughts about your ANTIQUES ROADSHOW experience for possible inclusion in a future ROADSHOW episode. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW sees about 3,000 people and our 70 to 75 appraisers appraise around 6,000 items per event.
Step 7: Thank You... And Thanks to our Sponsors
At the exit, please visit our valued sponsors and the local PBS station who would like to thank you for attending and supporting ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. There you will also have a chance to collect information about our appraisers.
Step 8: Visit Us on TV and the Web
Your tour with ANTIQUES ROADSHOW doesn't have to stop at the event. Visit us online: Track the summer's discoveries and upcoming broadcasts at pbs.org/antiques Follow @RoadshowPBS on social to stay connected! Then, tune in Monday nights at 8/7C* and 9/8C* on PBS to stay on the road with ANTIQUES ROADSHOW all year long! *Check local listings
What (not) to Wear!
When attending an ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event, bring your treasures for appraisal, but leave your shirts, hats and other clothing with corporate logos at home! If we choose to film your appraisal, no visible corporate or brand logos are allowed on your clothing or accessories. So, be ready for your close-up and arrive logo-free.
