The Surf-Freestyle discipline includes the expression format where competitors surf waves or swells and perform air tricks using the given water conditions.

FreeFly-Slalom

The FreeFly-Slalom discipline is a competition format with a start and finish line, focusing on the FreeFly sections. Competitors must pump, glide or surf without the power of the wing in the FreeFly sections, combining those skills with technical Slalom elements.

Competitors in the Wave discipline purely surf waves in any surfing conditions from cross offshore point breaks, to onshore beach breaks. No jumps on the way out are counted for the competitors score.

The Big Air discipline is all about amplitude and air time. The biggest and most spectacular jumps will score the highest.

WELCOME TO DCT

Honda's Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) is a breakthrough feature that makes riding easier and more fun.

HOW IT WORKS

wing tours

FREE YOUR MIND

Our DCT enhances the riding experience by letting you focus on the road and world around you, making each mile even better.

wing tours

FREEDOM FROM SHIFTING

With DCT, without the hassle of shifting, you’re free to enjoy every curve and every straightaway, on every ride.

wing tours

PADDLE SHIFTING

Choose Manual Mode, and you can override the automatic shifting on the fly with a pair of handlebar-mounted fingertip shifters.

wing tours

PROVEN Honda DURABILITY

Because our DCT is built with steel gears inside, there are no drive belts to slip, break, or burn up, and there’s no torque converter. They’re as tough and efficient as any manual gearbox.

wing tours

SELECTABLE RIDE MODES

Programmed Ride Modes like Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain allow you to adjust the Gold Wing’s ride character. There’s even a special slow-speed Walking Mode, and of course a manual mode that lets you shift via handlebar-mounted shifters.

wing tours

REAL-WORLD CONVENIENCE

No clutch means no hunting for neutral, and a left hand that’s freed up to activate a garage-door opener, pay at a toll booth, or use a parking key card.

wing tours

F1 TECHNOLOGY

Supercars and Formula 1 racers use paddle-shift transmissions because they offer the fastest, most efficient shifting and deliver consistent power to the ground.

wing tours

LOW-SPEED MANEUVERING

DCT’s seamless power delivery is a big benefit in low-speed situations like parking lots.

wing tours

HILL START ASSIST

Eliminate the drama that comes with stopping and restarting on a steep incline. DCT lets you twist and go.

wing tours

AVOID THE CLUNK

Ever knock helmets with your passenger when shifting? That won’t happen with DCT.

PERFORMANCE

Electronics, comfort and cargo.

PERFORMANCE

The Gold Wing’s horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine is famously smooth and powerful. The latest version is an 1833cc design that’s over 13 pounds lighter than previous generations (more than eight pounds less for our DCT trims). STANDARD ON: ALL TRIMS

HANDLING

DOUBLE WISHBONE FRONT SUSPENSION

One look and your eyes will immediately go to the Gold Wing’s radical, Honda-engineered double-wishbone front suspension. The innovative design lets us move both the engine and the rider/passenger closer to the front wheel, giving you more room for added comfort as well as stellar handling. STANDARD ON: ALL TRIMS

ELECTRONICS

Available as an optional feature, HomeLink® lets you integrate your new Gold Wing Tour with devices in your home. A typical example: you can open your home’s garage door without any dedicated controller—just touch a switch on your bike’s center console. No more fumbling, and no hassle.

COMFORT AND CARGO

LARGER TRUNK

The Gold Wing Tour's trunk holds 61 liters. That means in most cases you can get two XXL full-face helmets in there. Combined, the trunk and saddlebags give you 121 liters of storage—plenty to hold what you need for a weekend’s travels. Available accessories include an auto-on interior light, a luggage rack, and more.

Your new Gold Wing’s audio system is an excellent example of state-of-the-art electronic technology. In addition to listening to music, with an available Bluetooth * headset you can make or answer phone calls without taking off your helmet. In addition to a standard USB connector, options include a separate passenger audio control switch, a high-output amplifier and speakers, Sirius XM ® satellite radio, a CB radio, and more. Plus, there’s a second USB connector in the left saddlebag of all Gold Wing models.

ANDROID AUTO COMPATIBILITY

Great news for Android users—With the July 2020 software update, Gold Wings from 2018 onwards are now Android Auto TM compatible, including all our new 2024 models. That means you can connect your Android phone to your Gold Wing to access Google Assistant, and to use navigation tools like Google Maps, Waze and more. Plus, you’ll have access to weather, playlists, music-streaming services and telephone numbers. Available Bluetooth ®-compatible headsets let you communicate easily too.* And with more and more apps available all the time, Android Auto and Honda software updates keep your bike’s technology right on the cutting edge.

Apple CarPlay™ COMPATIBILITY

The Gold Wing’s introduction of Apple CarPlay TM*1 was a first for the motorcycle industry! Apple CarPlay seamlessly integrates your iPhone ®*1 to access Apple Maps ® , Apple Music ® , and other services easily. You’ll have access to weather, playlists, and telephone numbers while aboard. Available Bluetooth ®*2 -enabled wireless headsets let you communicate more easily than ever. And best of all, with more apps available every day, Apple CarPlay keeps your bike’s technology and convenience on the cutting edge.

Every Gold Wing and Gold Wing Tour is equipped with a big, bright, seven-inch full-color TFT LCD screen to display routes and other navigation information. Plus, since it’s equipped with a gyrocompass, the system even functions inside a tunnel. Independent of the Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto feature, it works with or without your phone. Added bonus only by Honda: 10 years of free map updates!

VEHICLE SETTINGS

Your new Gold Wing is packed with smart rider aids. A glance at the dash keeps you informed of things like ride mode (Tour, Sport, Rain, Econ), rear suspension preload settings (solo, with passenger, loaded, unloaded on Tour models), tire pressure* and much more.

WW tour president letter

Letter from the president.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the West Wing of the White House. In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt relocated his office from the second floor of the residence to this newly constructed building. The West Wing has expanded and undergone several renovations since then, but it has remained the official workplace of the President.

President Thomas Jefferson first opened the White House for public tours because he understood then, as we do now, that this house belongs to the American people. I am proud to continue his tradition. In our country, the halls of government are not reserved for a privileged few, and the President’s workplace should be no exception. Your visit today helps to fulfill my goal of creating the most open and accessible administration in American history.

Once again, welcome to the West Wing, and please accept my best wishes for an enjoyable tour.

Navy Stewards have provided food service to the Commander in Chief since 1880. The modern White House Navy Mess was established under President Harry S. Truman in 1951. The Navy’s culinary specialists prepare and serve fine foods in the West Wing.

Seated reservations are available to senior officials including commissioned officers, Cabinet Secretaries, and their guests. Staff located in the West and East Wing can enjoy food made in the Navy Mess from a take-out window located adjacent to the dining hall.

Seated, from left, are: Brigadier General Marshall B. “Brad” Webb, Assistant Commanding General, Joint Special Operations Command; Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough; Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton; and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Standing, from left, are: Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; National Security Advisor Tom Donilon; Chief of Staff Bill Daley; Tony Blinken, National Security Advisor to the Vice President; Audrey Tomason Director for Counterterrorism; John Brennan, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism; and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Please note: a classified document seen in this photograph has been obscured. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

Months after being sworn into office, President John F. Kennedy was confronted with the Bay of Pigs Invasion in Cuba and insisted that intelligence information feed directly into the White House. The Situation Room was established in 1961 to meet President Kennedy’s request.

The current “Sit Room” is a 5,000-square-foot complex of rooms that is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to monitor national and world intelligence information. Televisions for secure video conferences and technology can link the President to generals and world leaders around the globe.

Also known as the “45 second commute,” the West Colonnade was built for Thomas Jefferson to run alongside service spaces underneath the West Terrace, such as the ice house and storage rooms for coal and wood. The open columned walkway is now used by the President and his staff to travel between the West Wing and the Executive Residence.

The Rose Garden was created by First Lady Ellen Axson Wilson in 1913. It was redesigned by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy to serve as a Presidential reception area. President Nixon’s daughter, Tricia Nixon Cox, was married here in 1971.

The South Lawn is the site of the President’s Marine One arrivals and departures and includes the White House tennis court, putting green, and, as of March 2009, a kitchen garden. The White House Kitchen Garden includes over 50 kinds of vegetables, as well as berries, herbs, and a beehive.

5. Cabinet Room

wing tours

President Barack Obama holds a Cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room of the White House, Jan. 31, 2012. (Official White House Photo by Lawrence Jackson)

In the Cabinet Room, the President meets with the Cabinet Secretaries, members of Congress, the National Security Council, and foreign Heads of State on topics ranging from energy efficiency to national security.

When the President meets around the large mahogany table with the Cabinet Secretaries, each is assigned a chair based on the date their department was established with the oldest Cabinet departments seated closest to the center. The President sits at the center of the table with his back to the Rose Garden doors and opposite the Vice President.

As a reflection of their inspiration and governing style, Presidents select the portraits that hang in the Cabinet Room. In May 2009, President Obama chose Frank O. Salisbury’s portrait of President Harry S. Truman to join the portraits of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt already displayed in the room.

6. Oval Office

wing tours

President Barack Obama works at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, Feb. 11, 2011. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

As the official office of the President and his primary place of work, the Oval Office provides the President with easy access to his senior advisors and the Executive Residence.

Beyond its distinctive shape, the most famous feature of the Oval Office is the Resolute Desk. Made from timbers of the H.M.S. Resolute – a British navy ship – it was presented by Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880. Since then, the desk has been used by every President with the exception of Presidents Johnson, Nixon, and Ford.

Other notable furnishings in the Oval Office are the two paintings that flank the south windows. The Avenue in the Rain by Childe Hassam, 1917, depicts Fifth Avenue in New York City adorned with flags and banners in support of the Allied war effort during World War I. The Statue of Liberty by Norman Rockwell was prepared for the cover of The Saturday Evening Post to commemorate the Fourth of July in 1946.

Each President decorates the Oval Office to suit his tastes, but some features remain constant including the white marble mantel from the original 1909 President’s Office, the Presidential Seal on the ceiling, and the two flags behind the President’s desk – the U.S. Flag and the President’s Flag.

In addition to covering the walls with hand-painted striped wallpaper, President Obama added a new oval-shaped rug, which is made of 25% recycled wool. This rug features the Presidential Seal in the center and five historical quotations of meaning by Martin Luther King, Jr. and Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy around its border.

7. Roosevelt Room

wing tours

The Roosevelt Room occupies the original location of President Theodore Roosevelt’s office when the West Wing was built in 1902. This room was once called the Fish Room because President Franklin D. Roosevelt used it to display an aquarium and his fishing mementos. In 1969, President Nixon named the room in honor of Theodore Roosevelt for building the West Wing and Franklin D. Roosevelt for its expansion.

On the southeast wall hangs President Theodore Roosevelt’s Congressional Medal of Honor awarded posthumously on January 16, 2001 to honor his heroism in the Spanish-American War in 1898. To the left of the fireplace hangs President Theodore Roosevelt’s Nobel Peace Prize, awarded in 1906, for his mediation of the Russo-Japanese War peace settlement. This was the first Nobel Prize awarded to an American.

8. West Wing Lobby

wing tours

The West Wing Lobby of the White House, Dec. 30, 2011. (Official White House Photo by Chuck Kennedy)

The West Wing lobby is the reception room for visitors of the President, Vice President, and White House staff. The current lobby was renovated by Richard Nixon in 1970 to provide a smaller, more intimate receiving space.

The large gilt clock was likely created from assembled parts (both old and new) to imitate an early nineteenth century clock, similar to those used in churches and other public buildings. The artist inscribed the name “Simon Willard,” an important clock maker at the turn of the nineteenth century.

The English-made mahogany bookcase (c.1770) is one of the oldest pieces of furniture in the White House collection.

Washington Crossing the Delaware (1851) by Emanuel Leutze and Eastman Johnson is a recreation of Leutze’s monumental life-size painting of the same subject. The painting has numerous historical inaccuracies, including the depiction of the American flag which was designed more than a year after the crossing took place.

Vernal Falls is an 1889 view of a waterfall in the Yosemite Valley in California by Thomas Hill. Belonging to the permanent White House collection, this painting complements the c.1881 view of Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone by Albert Bierstadt that hangs on the same west wall of the reception room.

9. James S. Brady Press Briefing Room

wing tours

President Barack Obama gives a press conference in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House, June 23, 2009. (Official White House Photo by Chuck Kennedy)

During the Nixon Administration, more space was required to accommodate the growing press corps. Therefore, in 1970, the briefing room was constructed on top of the emptied pool that was installed for President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s physical therapy.

In 2000, the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room was named in honor of former Press Secretary James Brady. He was shot and disabled during a 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan. Today, the current White House press corps is made up of about 200 members. With just 49 chairs (arranged 7 by 7), it is up to the White House Correspondents Association to decide who gets these coveted seats. A plaque on each seat displays the name of the news organization to which it is assigned.

Earn your wings on this fresh Buffalo food tour with samples of Buffalo’s tastiest chicken wings. On this incredible journey, we’ll dive deep into the history of Buffalo’s most famous and misunderstood dish and attempt to answer the question, “Who was the true inventor of the first Buffalo Wing?”.

SKILL LEVEL

THE ORIGINAL CHICKEN WING TOUR OF BUFFALO, NY!

The Wing Ride takes you on a tasting journey of some of Buffalo's best chicken wings, with samplings and colorful stories along the way. On this tour, you'll dive deep into the hidden history of the city's famous dish and explore how Buffalo was shaped by social dynamics, from its working-class origins to present-day resurgence.

The tour begins with a visit with Lina Brown Young, the daughter of a legendary chicken wing restauranteur, who shares personal photos, stories, and her dad’s long-lost mumbo wing recipe, which had been unavailable for 23 years.

We’ll continue with a stop at the Anchor Bar, where we’ll learn the wild story of how their wings were born by accident. Skip the tourist line and crowds and get an inside look (and taste) at this beloved wing institution.

The chicken wing tour concludes with wings from Tiny Thai, an up-and-coming food truck, where we’ll sample a recipe that connects the past, present, and future of chicken wings. Experience the tour that’s been featured by the Food Network, NY Times, and Vice Media.

Note: Menu and stops subject to change. This tour travels through Buffalo neighborhoods, some of which have seen disinvestment, but you would be remiss not to learn the true story of how an American food icon came to be.

I got to tour the West Wing!

wing tours

Getting a tour of the West Wing of the White House is perhaps the toughest ticket in Washington, DC, but if you do get one, it’s the Golden Ticket.

Several guides at DC By Foot have toured the West Wing.

It is much easier to tour the White House on a public tour or take our Intro to DC tour to see it from outside with one of our guides.

wing tours

They are scheduled from 7:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night, though you cannot tour the West Wing during business hours or when the President is working.

Unfortunately, we can’t help you arrange a tour of the West Wing, but we can tell you who can visit the West Wing, how to apply, and what you will see.

HOW TO GET A WEST WING TOUR

Your best chance of getting a tour is to be a friend or family of a White House employee.

So, who do you have to know? It’s an exclusive club:

  • Friends and family of authorized White House employees
  • Celebrities and political activists
  • Friends and prominent supporters of members of Congress

Celebrities and prominent political activists must apply directly to the White House Office of Political Affairs.  If you are a friend of a prominent member of Congress, that member may apply to the Office of Political Affairs on your behalf.

If you are fortunate enough to be booked on a West Wing tour, you will receive a link directly from the WH asking you to provide the following information:

  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number (only U.S. residents 18 and older)
  • Citizenship
  • City and State of Residence

Once you provide that information, you will receive a strict set of rules for your visit. The most important one is bags: the size must not exceed 4x6 inches. Also, no phones are allowed, so you’ll have to lock it away upon entry.

In the days before your tour, the Secret Service will conduct a rigorous background check, and when you arrive at the White House for your tour, there is additional security screening. Don’t forget your government-issued ID.

The check-in point is at 17 th and E St NW. Upon arrival, you will be given a temporary badge that you will wear for the duration of your tour. Yes. You have to return it following your visit.

After passing through security, you will follow your guide (the White House employee) past the south façade of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, where you will round a corner to the left.

And there it will be: the entrance to the West Wing! It is an extensive tour, allowing you to see the inner workings of the West Wing and the surrounding exterior grounds, all under the watchful eye of Secret Service members, who will happily answer questions and tell you stories. Be sure to ask about the ghosts in the White House. There are lots of them!

wing tours

So, what exactly do you get to see?

  • Situation Room
  • West Colonnade
  • Rose Garden & South Lawn
  • Cabinet Room
  • Oval Office
  • Roosevelt Room
  • West Wing Lobby
  • James P. Brady Press Briefing Room

As you are not allowed to bring your phone (or cameras) into the West Wing, the only place where photos are allowed is the Press Briefing Room.

wing tours

As part of a West Wing tour, you will also visit the adjacent Eisenhower Executive Office Building, where you will see the following:

  • Second Gentleman’s Office Suite (exterior only)
  • The Vice President’s Ceremonial Office
  • Secretary of War Suite
  • The Cordell Hull Room
  • The Diplomatic Reception Room
  • The Indian Treaty Room
  • The War Library
  • The East and West Rotundas
  • Truman Bowling Alley

So, if you are lucky enough to get this Golden Ticket, a tour of the West Wing will surely be a highlight of your time in Washington, DC.

Reviews of Wingbuddy Tours

This was a wonderful unrushed small tour with a knowledgeable English tour guide very fun that I extended my tour. The hotels were very nice close to city centers and meals were flavorful delights. I loved the tuscany part of the tour. I would recommend this company.
I would recommend it to my friends.
Sehr viel gesehen, sehr gute Organisation, gutes Essen, ausgezeichneter Reiseleiter, insgesamt sehr zufriedenstellend.

A Majestic Encounter with Whales and Nature's Beauty! Rating: I recently embarked on a whale watching adventure that left me in awe of the magnificence of the ocean's gentle giants. From the moment we set sail to the last sighting, every aspect of this experience was absolutely phenomenal, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating! Our luck was truly extraordinary as we had the privilege of witnessing nature's spectacle. A pod of orcas gracefully danced through the waves, while around 15 humpback whales put on an unforgettable show. The sight of these majestic creatures, accompanied by the stellar sea lion and harbor seal, left us in awe of the wonders that reside beneath the surface. The crew onboard the tour was exceptional in every way. They were not only informative and professional but also infused the journey with entertainment that kept us engaged throughout. Their extensive knowledge of marine life and the local ecosystem added a deeper appreciation to the experience, leaving us with a newfound understanding of these incredible creatures. Opting for the sunset tour proved to be an excellent decision. As the golden hues of the sun painted the sky, the surrounding scenery became a picturesque masterpiece. The combination of the breathtaking sunset and the awe-inspiring whales created a mesmerizing ambiance that will forever be etched in my memory. The smoothness of the ride made the entire journey comfortable and enjoyable. The captain's expertise in navigating the waters was evident, as they knew exactly where to take us for the best possible sightings. It was a testament to their skill and experience, ensuring that we never missed a moment of the marine marvels before us. One of the notable aspects of this tour was the thoughtful provision of warm attire. While the air may have been chilly, the tour organizers made sure that we were well-prepared and cozy, allowing us to fully embrace the experience without any discomfort. The beauty of the water surrounding us was simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear waves shimmered in the sunlight, showcasing nature's artistic brilliance. Witnessing the whales in their natural habitat, surrounded by such pristine beauty, was a humbling and awe-inspiring experience that will stay with me forever. In summary, this whale watching experience exceeded all expectations. The combination of remarkable sightings, informative and entertaining crew, stunning sunset views, smooth sailing, and thoughtful provisions created a truly unforgettable adventure. If you're seeking a chance to connect with nature's wonders and witness the awe-inspiring presence of whales, look no further. This tour will leave you speechless and filled with an appreciation for the marvels of the deep blue sea.

We visited Victoria for spring break and decided to go Whale Watching as one of our activities. Our resort recommended Eagle Wing and we weren't disappointed. We went out for the afternoon tour on March 29th. The sun was out and the weather was amazing. The staff were also equally warm and bright. They were very friendly and super knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. I had been whale watching one other time in Alaska and saw some humpback whales. Was really hoping to see Orca on this trip and see them we did. We followed the pod about 45min before going over to Speiden Island to see more exotic wildlife. It was the highlight of our trip and we highly recommend Eagle Wing tours. To top it off, they emailed some professional highlight photos of our tour for free.

Great experience. The staff is very knowledgeable about whales & marine life. Jane, our mane host, described details in full of wildlife traits that made the tour more interesting. And we saw so many whales!

We booked a morning whale watching tour 8/16. The weather was supreme, water smooth. We booked at the Victoria Information Center. They gave us complimentary tokens for the water ferry. Checkin was so easy and friendly. We decided on the larger Catamaran boat because it was SO sunny, and the Catamaran provided a way to get some shade and also you can walk around the boat during your tour: front, back, sides. There were three naturalists on board, and they were all very excellent, answered questions, provided information and good to know data about the things we were seeing and things they had seen in the past and what we might see. Clean boat. My brother-in-law forgot his jacket and it really does get cool on the boat. They have extra sock hats, gloves, and jackets and they wash them after people use them so they're always clean. We saw orcas (two different pods), a minke whale, harbor seals, spectra seals. Almost too many to remember! Luckily when you leave the boat they have it all written down, including where you traveled!

My wife and I joined a tour yesterday and were amazed by our trip. We saw a super group, whose members spread out for miles from the boat. Dozens were near us and at times almost touching us. The boat received blow hole spray multiple times. Important- the competition stopped 30 minutes before we did. There were multiple boats in the area and they stopped when they saw a whale or two and turned around. We powered on at 30+mph and saw the amazing group they could have but did not. The staff was great and the catamaran worked well for my wife who is in a wheel chair and could see very well from the deck on the back of the boat. Awesome experience.

Photo of Joe T.

This tour was everything we hoped it would be from start to finish. The folks on the boat were amazing with insight into the behavior of the whales, how they communicate etc. We also saw our first pod a mere 10 minutes away from the dock! We knew it was gonna be a great day when that happened. We came for all over for this amazing adventure; Florida and a couple from Australia. Your team did not disappoint. Can't want to come back and do it again! Thanks for an amazing experience.

Photo of Susan C.

Crew Natalie and Derek were amazing. The accessibility for a manual wheelchair does take a bit of work due to the steep ramps down to the dock, but getting on the boat was a simple ramp and the seating was more than enough to see the whales. Would take another tour with them!

Photo of Janet S.

An amazing trip with perfect crew. Informative, friendly and literally went extra miles so we could see two groups of orcas. Highly recommend. The heated cabin was a must for the cold clear day.

Orca

Awesome Tour! The staff was wonderful; they were knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful. Well done Eagle Wing!

‘Some People Would Get Mad at the Critiques’: Louisiana Restaurant Took Notes from Keith Lee’s Visit Months After His Atlanta Reviews Yielded Death Threats

A bewildered Keith Lee called out a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, restaurant for taking creative license on their menu.

There’s nothing wrong with wing sauce names like “Sum Nasty,” “Krucial,” and “Rebel,” but the famous TikTok critic made a point after getting confused when the to-go boxes weren’t labeled.

wing tours

“The flavors are all nick-named, so for the most part, I don’t know what is what, and they didn’t label anything. … I have no idea what I’m about to eat,” Lee declared before he dove into three orders of mixed chicken wings with six mysterious house barbecue sauces, and then demolished an order of fried fish sliders.

He enjoyed the first wing he bit into but after biting into the second he said, “That tastes like a plain wing.”

While many restaurateurs would get bent out of shape over the high-profile criticism (the video has 40,000 comments thus far), the co-owner of KOK Wings & Things, Tré’Jan Vinson, took it in stride — and used the feedback to improve his business.

We can see why KOK Wings & Things has grown into a mini chicken wings empire in less than a decade, with four locations, catering, and food truck operations. Of course, any place that has “dancing on the tables,” as Lee noted, and sells beer by the bucket is bound to be a success.

In his TikTok response to Lee, Vinson announced a rollout of their new color-coded sticker system that identifies all sauce names. Thanks to the “ Keith Lee effect ,” every to-go box will now get a sticker. “With his review, he made a key suggestion, which is he did not know what he was eating, and every new customer or current customer should know what flavors of wings they’re trying,” declared Vinson triumphantly.

“I want to let y’all know that we’re always promising on improving our product, our business, and our brand and we will never ever stop improvement,” stated Vinson.

“I love everything about this. THIS is how you capitalize on exposure,” posted a fan on X. Another said , “I appreciate and love when businesses take constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve and not an insult. I want nothing but the best for this restaurant..”

A third said, “Congrats on the publicity, food looks bomb af. Love the sticker idea, smart af. Some people would get mad at the critiques.”

Earlier in June, another Baton Rogue restaurant, The Bayou Affect, responded to a critical review and boldly turned the tables on the famous critic, issuing him a 2 out of 10 for not knowing the right dishes to order, a move that many disagreed with.

“First professional response feedback I’ve seen in response to Keith Lee,” quipped a supporter of KOK Chicken & Things. Enthusiasm over the comeback has spread like wildfire on social media, and Vinson’s TikTok video now has over a million views.

“You’re pure class man. Lotta folks in Atlanta could take some notes on listening to customers,” commented another, who was referring to death threats that Lee received amid critiques of popular Black-owned restaurants in the city.

Lee planned to return to Atlanta earlier this year on a Redemption Tour, but not without security in tow. “When my safety and my family safety are coming into play, that’s where I draw the line at,” he said at the time. The former MMA fighter also noted that his “ hands are registered, too ” and was ready to throw down if necessary.

But the burning question is how was the food at KOK Chicken & Things?

For a place that’s a “full party scene, and not just a restaurant,” turns out the wings were on point.

During his review, Lee helpfully added descriptions of the nicknamed flavors. For instance, Krucial is a honey-garlic rub, and Sum Nasty is sweet and spicy. For the record, he spent $41 on a mountain of food and gave the Krucial and Double Dip wings the highest score, 8.5 out of 10. The other flavors garnered a very respectable 7.5 out of 10.

This is how you respond pic.twitter.com/T61vjGOVQ1 — Rain | Media | YourBDFavoritePublicist 🇱🇷 (@BloggedByRain) June 26, 2024

“I really have no idea what I’m eating,” Lee quipped, but it didn’t seem to matter, as you can’t go wrong with any of the wings. The same can’t be said for what Lee believed to be “seasoned freezer fries,” which received a mere 4 out of 10, and the somewhat “greasy” fish sliders, which earned a score of 5.

“Everybody dancing, they partying. They jigging. They doing, what they call it?” Lee asked an unidentified member of his entourage. “You said they was doing the chicken? Chicken whopping, apparently.”

Honestly, it sounds like a good time to us.

Trump ally nigel farage gets doused with milkshake by onlyfans model.

Her milkshake brings Farage to the yard.

A British OnlyFans model threw a milkshake at Trump ally Nigel Farage, the new leader of the right-wing Reform UK party, after his first public speech  promoting his bid for parliament.

Farage, who is now running to represent the seaside town of Clacton, was addressing local voters on Tuesday when a 25-year-old woman tossed a milkshake at Farage’s face, the BBC reports.

Wild video from the scene showed the woman, wearing all white, waiting for Farage outside the Moon & Starfish pub when she raced up the stairs to douse the firebrand politician.

A woman threw a milkshake at British right-wing politician Nigel Farage on Tuesday.

The woman tosses the cup and quickly flees the scene, with Farage seen wiping the milkshake off his face as he’s escorted away.

The protester was later identified as Victoria Thomas-Bowen, an OnlyFans model who supports left-wing former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn,  the MailOnline reports .

Victoria Thomas-Bowen

Thomas-Bowen was one of several people protesting Farage’s campaign in Clacton, which was suddenly announced on Monday despite Farage’s claim that he wanted to focus on supporting  his ally Donald Trump.

Thomas-Bowen  told the BBC  that said she did not pre-plan the incident but felt she had to do something to protest Farage’s campaign.

Farage reacts to milkshake thrown at him

“He doesn’t stand for me, he doesn’t represent anything I believe in or any of the people around here,” she said.

“He doesn’t represent us – he’s not from here.”

Victoria Thomas-Bowen

Farage described the latest incident as “quite frightening,” but said it’s just one of the risks of doing old-fashioned meet-and-greets with voters.

“I’ll be honest, it was quite scary,”  he told ITV News . “No one goes out and does the old style street campaigning the way that I do, and this is the risk that goes with it.”

Tuesday’s incident, however, is not the first time Farage had a milkshake tossed at him.

Leader of Britain's right-wing populist party, Reform UK, and the party's parliamentary candidate for Clacton, Nigel Farage poses with a McDonald drink similar to the one thrown at him earlier in the day,

Back in 2019, a Newcastle man sullied the pro-Brexit politician’s suit with a banana and salted caramel milkshake from Five Guys, according to the BCC.

Farage was in the city as part of a campaign tour for one of his many failed bids for Parliament.

FLORENCE, Italy (Velo) — Primož Roglič is boasting new Tour de France colors with Red Bull unveiling its jersey and makeover with the official roll out of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe.

The stakes couldn’t be higher with arrival of mega-sponsor Red Bull and its high-profile entrée into the world of elite men’s road racing in time for Roglič and his all-in bid to win the yellow jersey.

Officials revealed the team’s new look with the world-famous Red Bull logo emblazoned at the center of the jersey.

The highly anticipated roll out comes as the team confirmed its eight riders for the 111th Tour and the looming clash with Tadej Pogačar.

“It’s crazy to be a part of this,” Roglič said at the team presentation. “This jersey for the start is pretty good — the yellow one is for the end.”

The world-famous Red Bull logo takes centerstage on the new-look Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe kit just days ahead of the Tour start.

Red Bull’s arrival as co-sponsor and majority owner of the German-based team is the biggest sponsorship news to hit the cycling marketplace in decades.

Team founder Ralph Denk confirmed the deal last winter, and after authorities signed off on the merger, the Austrian global marketing powerhouse could help elevate cycling’s game.

Officials, however, say any sort of financial jackpot will not be spent on signing marquee superstars, but rather fund the development of what the team calls tomorrow’s winners.

It’s finally time for le Tour! This squad will race 3 weeks Florence ➡️ Nice! Allez guys! That hasn’t stopped speculation that Red Bull-backed riders such as Tom Pidcock and Wout van Aert might be scooped up during the rider sweepstakes in the coming weeks and months.

According to officials, a big investment will be made into a “new U23 program will bridge the gap to the WorldTeam,” a team statement read.

“We have a clear plan to become the most attractive brand in ” said Bora-Hansgrohe CEO Ralf Denk. “I want to find iconic riders and the development of young talents is a huge focus for us. Everything is new, not just the jersey, not just the bike … also the feeding bags and bottles for the guys.”

Will Red Bull give Roglič wings?

Roglic

The team is hoping to carry the momentum of the Red Bull coup into this year’s Tour.

The team unveiled the seven riders who will help Roglič in his quest for the yellow jersey.

Confirmed starters include former Giro winner Jai Hindley, Aleksandr Vlasov, Matteo Sobrero, Danny van Poppel, Marco Haller, Nico Denz and Bob Jungels. A few missing names include Dani Martínez, second in the Giro, and Sergio Higuita. Both are expected to race the Vuelta a España.

Will the investment pay off in yellow?

Roglič’s approach might not have been ideal due to his crash at Itzulia Basque Country, but overall victory at the Critérium du Dauphiné and the support of a very deep squad will give him a fighting chance.

Inside Shifty Shellshock and Crazy Town's Rocky Road to Fame on the Wings of 'Butterfly'

"Every day is a new milestone," rapper Shifty Shellshock told PEOPLE in 2001

Fryderyk Gabowicz/picture alliance via Getty

Versions of this story previously ran in 2001 issues of Teen PEOPLE and PEOPLE magazines. Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock was found dead at home in Los Angeles on June 24, 2024, at the age of 49.

Two singles into their November 1999 debut, The Gift of Game, Crazy Town still hadn't scored a hit. Then that December the Hollywood-based rap-rockers released the video for "Butterfly," an ode to vocalist Shifty Shellshock 's now ex-girlfriend Cynthia, who appeared in the clip.

"It's not too sappy," said Shifty, then 26, of the song. "She loves it." (Even Shaggy told Teen PEOPLE it was "the flyest video on MTV.)

She wasn't the only one: It made inroads with MTV and top-40 radio, helping the album go platinum. "This is where the real work begins," said bandmate Epic. "This is what we asked for."

Crazy Town's dramatic history dates back to 1992, when struggling rapper Shifty (real name: Seth Binzer) met Bret "Epic" Mazur, a DJ-producer and son of a music-publishing exec, while perusing mix tapes at an L.A. flea market. Soon Epic, then 27, was producing demos for Shifty and writing music for his gigs around L.A.'s underground hip-hop scene. Eventually, he joined him at the mic.

But before long the duo was seduced by the seedier side of Hollywood's party scene. "We were doing the rock-star thing before we had records out," said Shifty. "We ended up in rehab. I was like, 'What a loser. I wanted to be something.' " Shifty and Epic spent the next year attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and recruiting members for Crazy Town, a moniker that acknowledges their Hollywood roots.

A year after signing with Columbia Records in 1999, Epic and Shifty — along with guitarist Craig "Squirrel" Tyler, 27, bassist Doug "Faydoedeelay" Miller, 25, guitarist Anthony "Trouble" Valli, 25, and drummer James "JBJ" Bradley Jr., 26 — hit the road for Ozzfest 2000. However, with more than a year of touring already behind them (including a stint opening for Orgy), the fatigued band had to back out after a few dates when Shifty had a relapse. "We almost threw it all away," said Epic. "We had to prove to our managers that they had a real band on their hands."

Not long after, though, Crazy Town bounced back, with a hit single in "Butterfly" and a new image as alterna-heartthrobs.

"We joke about it," said Shifty. "If girls discover something beyond [the music], it's a bonus. We like attention. But we'd still be singing the same songs if we were scruffy-looking."

"A lot of kids know 'Butterfly,' but we're not that band," added Epic. "We're not mellow and laid-back." Shifty continued, "We can't be happy-go-lucky all the time. We're emotional, sick creatures."

The group's 2003 follow-up album, Darkhorse, received less praise, including from PEOPLE , whose critic called the effort "tired." The band broke up not long after the release, though some members had reunited in recent years .

"Being in Crazy Town has all been one big highlight. But when we went platinum, I got a tear in my eye because that was a lifelong goal," Shifty shared in 2001. "Now, every day is a new milestone."
