For a same day return journey from Liverpool to Birmingham International in early August with flexible time split tickets, I'd like to have the additional coverage/flexibility that comes with a West Midlands Day Tripper instead of a Wolverhampton-International off peak day return (and it's £1 cheaper!). As my planned outward journey includes changing at Wolverhampton, are there likely to be any problems buying this from the ticket office in Wolverhampton station as it seems I can't buy it on board or from the ticket office or a TVM at Lime Street. If the Wolverhampton ticket office is closed, do the TVMs at Wolverhampton sell this ticket or would I need to go to the bus station?

Have you compared the price with a Liverpool to Crewe day return and a West Midlands Day Ranger ticket? You can buy the Daytripper from the TVM at Liverpool, either the Avanti or Northern ones.

If you have issues at Liverpool - Wolverhampton's ticket machines definitely sell the Daytripper (and unless changed since i last used one, it was one of the 'quick buy' options)
Although if you plan to use the daytripper on the buses (and trams) it might be easier to pop to the ticket office to get it on the Daytripper stock. Less chance of a bus driver/tram conductor claiming it isn't valid

West Midlands Ambulance Service to celebrate emergency service day
West midlands ambulance service is set to celebrate emergency services day on monday september 9., the annual day shines light on the variety of roles within the organisation and the crucial part each member of staff plays in saving lives..
Written By: Freddy Pope
This year, some of the lesser-known roles that are key to making the service work, are being highlighted.
Trust chief executive, Anthony Marsh, said: “Emergency Services Day provides us with the opportunity to reflect on the life-saving work our team perform, and contribute to every single day. “Whether you are a vehicle preparation operative, a mechanic, someone in payroll, human resources, patient safety, safeguarding, or one of the many other support roles, your work means our frontline staff and volunteers can do their job to the best of their abilities. “A huge thank you to all staff and volunteers, and to our fantastic blue light colleagues in the police and fire for their unwavering commitment, efforts and contribution in supporting the Trust.”
