Ireland Tours
Touring Ireland is like being welcomed into the family and feeling like you’ve been a part of it the whole time. Sitting in an Irish pub, sipping on a Guinness. You can listen to the locals talk in their incredibly thick accents about something dramatic that happened to such-and-such down the road, who doesn't want to be a part of it? Good old Irish charm. Much like the locals, a tour of Ireland is full of stories and history. This is the land where giants carved the coastlines, fairies dwell deep in the forests, and luck flows through every landscape. Join our master storytellers on small group tours from Dublin , Belfast, or our newly launched depature point of Killarney . Dive deeper into this fascinating island, have some craic along the way, and uncover the tales of time gone by being brought to life. Simply choose the adventure that calls out to you the most. Will you try to count the basalt blocks at the Giant’s Causeway when you depart for a tour or Ireland from Belafast ? Follow in the footsteps of monks at Clonmacnoise Abbey? Or listen to the roar of the Atlantic along the rugged West Coast? Whichever path you choose, you’ll come back home a storyteller yourself, with a head full of souvenir stories and memories that last a lifetime.

Why you'll love an Ireland tour
Weird wonders lie in the landscapes
Giant’s causeway is 40,000 basalt columns. Cliffs of Moher is a 214m drop into the Atlantic Ocean. And the Dingle Peninsula is 75km of unspoilt beaches and jagged mountains. But the numbers don’t do it justice: you need to see it to believe it. And an Irish tour, led by knowledgeable driver-guides , can be just the answer.
Giants, leprechauns, and fairies
It feels as if every landscape you walk along on an Irish tour was crafted by a giant, ransacked by leprechauns, and traversed by a thousand banshees. So make sure to tune in to your guide’s tales. And who knows, maybe you’ll believe in some of them yourself.
Everyone wants to be Irish
Maybe it’s their accent, perhaps it’s their friendly nature, or it may even be their fantastic stories. But whatever it is, everyone loves the Irish. And after you tour Ireland, you’ll come home wishing you could be Irish too.
Atmospheric live entertainment
Vibrant, loud and exuberant. Irish cities are full of character and jam-packed with live entertainment venues. Whether it’s a traditional fiddle or a heavy guitar riff, an Irish gig is an energetic experience you cannot miss when touring the beautiful emerald isles.

Explore Waterford's History
Step into Ireland’s oldest city that has seen everything from Vikings to Victorians. We will discover the legacy of invaders turned settlers, tree-forged swords, towers that still stand tall and the ancient city walls that tried to keep them out.
Journey to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are a natural masterpiece reserved for the best tours of Ireland. Beaten by the Atlantic for 350 million years, these unmanicured cliffs stretch as far as the eye can see. Take in the dramatic scene as wild salt wind whips around you.
Take in Connemara's 'savage beauty'
This romantic and desolate region certainly lives up to the title bestowed upon it by Oscar Wilde. Experience nature unlike anywhere else in the world when you explore the National Park, climb Ireland’s Holy Mountain or stand on the banks of Killary, the country’s largest fjord.
Walk down Grafton Street in Dublin
The energy on Dublin’s Main Street is electric. Meander freely down the road, exploring bustling cafes and shops, stopping occasionally to be wowed by street artist performance or a musician belting out a tune.
Our top 5 things to do in Ireland
Walk through the country’s oldest city and stand on the dramatic Cliffs of Moher. These are just some of the pinch me moments we’ll share with you on our trips to Ireland.
Books of Kells
See the Book of Kells on display at the Trinity College Library in Dublin. The book is a 9th century Latin manuscript that contains the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ. It's the world's most famous medieval manuscript and and you'll also get to explore one of the world's most beautiful libraries.
The James Joyce Centre
The Georgian townhouse of the James Joyce Centre will deepen your understanding of one of Ireland's most celebrated writers and the Dublin that inspired him. Peruse art exhibitions, watch documentaries, see a recreation of his living quarters and let Joyce and his works come to life right in front of your eyes.
National Museum of Ireland
A museum with so much to inspire you, it spills into three separate buildings around Dublin. Stroll through their halls and admire the hoards of gold buried in Bronze Age Ireland and skeletons of the native giant elk, now extinct.
Best museums in Ireland
Ancient settlers, celebrated authors, iconic brewers. In Dublin, Trafalgar delves into Ireland’s layers of history and becomes acquainted with the people who have called it home through visits to its many museums.
Dublin coddle
Discover all the favorite ingredients of Irish cooking in one pot with tender potatoes, sausage and onions, cooked slowly in broth. As you mop up this rich and filling stew with rustic bread, you can’t help but feel content.
It’s no secret the Irish have a special place in their hearts for potatoes. This breakfast potato pancake dish is no exception. Soft, creaminess on the inside. Crisp and buttery on the outside. One plate and you'll fall in love too.
As the old saying goes, Guinness tastes better in Ireland. The beautiful dark brew is not known to travel well, making trips to Ireland incomplete without tasting it from a local tap. Better yet, head to the source and have a pint at the Dublin Storehouse.
Best food in Ireland
Ireland knows comfort. Whether it’s in a pot, on a plate or filling a pint, we'll share their national culinary treasures that will warm your heart and fill your stomach.
What to pack for Ireland
A portable charger
Entire days filled with exploration are a wonderful part of Ireland travel. Avoid the dreaded low battery by packing a portable charger so you can still capture the day with plenty of battery power on hand.
A water and windproof jacket
An umbrella won’t save you from mist, sea spray or wild Atlantic winds. Pack a water and windproof jacket and you’ll be protected from all weathers.
Waterproof shoes
Rain isn't a rarity here. Heading into the countryside you might find yourself amongst mud and puddles. Bring a pair of gumboots to really feel like a local.
Year round you are likely to need something to keep you warm in Ireland. A scarf has the added bonus of being able to protect your face if things get really chilly.
While we all like a good craic, some lively towns love weekend shenanigans with a boistrousness that can interrupt sleep. Pack a pair of earplugs to ensure you snooze soundly.
Pack for sustainable travel
Consider your environmental impact when you next take a trip and go single-use-plastic-free by packing a reusable water bottle, a steel straw, your own shopping bags and reusable toiletry bottles.

Travel tips for Ireland trips
The length of the guided tour of Ireland you choose plays a big factor in what you can see and do. Before choosing, it's helpful to think about which specific sites you’d like to see on your trip. Ireland is a relatively small country and easy to explore, but it can take some time to get around. On our Ireland tours, you can choose a number of different ways to experience the country according to your interests. Here are some of our favorite places to visit in Ireland.
- Dublin. St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Ireland’s largest, offers beautiful stained glass windows and a rich history. But don’t miss Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, or Trinity College, either.
- County Tipperary. The Rock of Cashel is a must-see. This group of ancient buildings on a limestone outcrop above the town of Cashel offer a glimpse into Ireland’s medieval history.
- County Cork. Blarney Castle, home to the famous Blarney Stone, isn’t the only reason to visit County Cork. Ireland’s largest county is also known for having the country’s best food.
- County Kerry. This region is home to the Ring of Kerry, a 112-mile coastal route that winds through some of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery. Those views are rivaled in Killarney National Park, which is dotted with lakes and dominated by Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil.
- County Clare. The Cliffs of Moher, offering some of the most purely beautiful vistas in all of Ireland, are the big draw here. You can also check out the traditional music scene in the quaint village of Doolin, not far from the cliffs.
- County Donegal. The towering Slieve League cliffs, rising nearly 2,000 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, are some of the highest in Europe. You won’t find a better place to snap incredible photos.
In the land of cozy pubs, green landscapes, and rich culture, there’s a lifetime of attractions to explore. Here are some of the top sites to visit in Ireland:
- Ring of Kerry. One of the most scenic drives in Ireland passes through charming villages and treats you to stunning views of the mountains, lakes, and coastline.
- Grafton Street in Dublin. A great place to experience Irish culture, this vibrant pedestrian street is home to pubs, cafes, high-end boutiques, and souvenir shops.
- Glendalough. Located in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and lakes, Glendalough is home to an ancient monastic settlement founded in the sixth century by Saint Kevin.
- The Wild Atlantic Way. The western coast of Ireland is home to some of the Emerald Isle’s most magnificent scenery and is a great way to experience the country’s beauty and diversity.
- Kilkenny Castle. Originally built in 1195, this historic castle is a beautiful example of medieval architecture and offers stunning views from its ramparts.
- Cliffs of Moher. This nearly nine-mile stretch of towering sea cliffs is breathtaking when the rushing waves of the Atlantic Ocean crash against the coastline.
- Dublin Castle. Once the seat of British power in Ireland, the castle is now a popular tourist destination and houses a number of museums and art galleries.
- St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The largest cathedral in Ireland, and one of the largest in Europe, is known for its beautiful stained glass windows.
- The Dingle Peninsula. Our trips to the Dingle Peninsula allow you to get to know this incredible part of Ireland, from scenic drives with views of the coastline to the charming, colorful town of Dingle.
Several of our tours will take you from Ireland to Northern Ireland. The island of Ireland is separated into two jurisdictions. The Republic of Ireland is an independent country, while Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. As such, you’ll use the pound sterling (GBP) when you cross over into Northern Ireland. While there is no physical border, it’s important to remember that they are two separate countries.
Some of our favorite activities in Northern Ireland include visiting:
- Giant’s Causeway. This jaw-dropping geological site is made up of 40,000 basalt columns formed by volcanic activity more than 50 million years ago.
- The Titanic Museum. A dramatic tribute located in Belfast, where the famed ship was designed, built, and launched.
The best time of year to go on a tour of Ireland depends on your preferences. The summer months (June to August) are generally the warmest and most popular, but they can also be the busiest and most expensive. The spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) months are less crowded and can offer more affordable prices. Winter (December to February) can be cold and rainy, but it can also be a good time to visit if you want to experience the festive holiday season.
Thanks to the Gulf Stream, Ireland has a temperate climate. Typically, the summers are warm and the winters are mild. No matter what time of year you visit Ireland, be sure to pack a raincoat or umbrella. The weather there can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to be prepared for rain.
- March, April, and May. Many consider spring the best time to go to Ireland. Ireland’s weather in March includes drizzles of rain and longer days. With spring flowers blooming and Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in full swing, this is a great time to travel on any of our tours to Ireland.
- June, July, and August. Summer in Ireland isn’t scorching hot like many other parts of the world. The temperature in August and throughout the summer rarely breaks 70 F. With flora at its greenest, summer is considered one of the best times of year to visit.
- September, October, and November. Ireland’s fall weather brings mild days in the 50s. With summer tourists home, the lush hills still green, and all top attractions still open, fall comes highly recommended as one of the best times to book any of our Ireland trip packages.
- December, January, and February. The weather in Ireland is mild compared to many other parts of the world during winter. It rarely snows, and the temperatures in Ireland can reach up to 60 degrees. You will need to pack a coat, but the hearty stews of Ireland taste even better with a chill in the air. Local traditions and fewer crowds make this one of the best times to visit.
One trip isn’t enough to experience all that Ireland has to offer. From visiting rolling sheep-dotted hills to lively centuries-old towns, sunny beaches to vertigo-inducing cliffs, there’s so much to do and see on group tours of Ireland. Some of the most popular activities include:
- Listening to traditional Irish music. A “trad session”—a loosely organized, sometimes impromptu live performance—at an old-fashioned pub is the best way to go. Our favorite pubs in Ireland will do the trick.
- Driving the Wild Atlantic Way. True to its name, this winding, 1,550-mile route along Ireland’s western coastline is rugged and untamed. But the Wild Atlantic Way has more than just scenic views. Between long stretches of natural splendor are little clifftop villages and seaside towns and cities that offer a window into the Irish way of life.
- Walking along the Cliffs of Moher. Offering uninterrupted views of the Aran Islands from hundreds of feet above the Atlantic Ocean, these cliffs are a longtime favorite among travelers who have gone on our tours.
- Learning how to pour the perfect pint. A visit to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin involves more than enjoying a pint of Ireland’s favorite beer. You can also learn the six-step ritual for pouring a Guinness, including what type of glass to use and the perfect temperature for pouring.
- Touring the Kilmainham Gaol . First opened in 1796, this infamous jail once held Nelson Mandela, among other revolutionaries and political prisoners. A tour offers a sobering, fascinating window into Ireland’s history.
- Exploring the medieval town of Kilkenny. Walking the central Medieval Mile will have you feeling like a time traveler. Don’t miss the nearby ancient hilltop fortress, the Rock of Cashel.
- Kissing the Blarney Stone. Millions of pilgrims have climbed the Blarney Castle's steps, leaned backward, and kissed the legendary stone in hopes of gaining the gift of gab. Thanks to the installation of an iron railing, you no longer have to be held by the ankles and lowered down to kiss the stone.
- Traveling around the Ring of Kerry. This 112-mile coastal route winds through some of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery, including Killarney National Park.

Ireland is a friendly and welcoming country. The Irish people are known for their warm hospitality and their love of conversation. They are also known for their sense of humor and their love of music and dance. Still, it’s helpful to be aware of their customs and etiquette while visiting Ireland.
- Greetings. When greeting someone in Ireland, it’s customary to shake hands.
- Phrases to know. “What’s the craic?” (pronounced “crack”) is how the Irish ask, “What’s up?” At a pub, ask for a “pint of gat”—that is, a pint of Guinness. And to toast the new friends you’ll undoubtedly make in Ireland, say “sláinte!” (pronounced “SLAWN-cha”).
- Tipping. Though not expected in Ireland, tipping is appreciated. A tip of 10% is considered appropriate for good service.
- Be punctual. Punctuality is important in Ireland, and being late is considered rude.
- Dress appropriately. Ireland is a relatively casual country, but it’s still important to dress appropriately for the occasion. For example, you wouldn’t want to wear shorts and a T-shirt to a nice restaurant.
- Learn a few basic Irish phrases. Even if you don’t speak much Irish, it’s always appreciated when visitors learn a few basic phrases. This shows that you’re making an effort to connect with the local culture.
- Politics. Ireland has a long and complicated history, and politics can be a sensitive topic. It's best to avoid discussing politics with people you don’t know well.
- Be respectful of culture and customs. Ireland is a diverse country with a rich culture, and it’s important to be respectful of their customs and beliefs.
We recommend you spend at least six days in Ireland. While our most popular Ireland tours run nine days or more, you can enjoy a shorter trip if you limit your tour to one or two cities.
English is Ireland’s main language, and all native Irish people can speak English. However, you’ll also see some signs and place names in Irish Gaelic.
Ireland uses the euro.
To stock up on local currency, order some euros from your bank before you go, or use your debit card at an ATM once you arrive. For tips on using the euro while on our trips to Ireland, check out our blog on currency exchange →
Traditional Irish cuisine is comforting and hearty. And, yes, many dishes are made with potatoes, which are a staple crop in Ireland. But the real joy in Irish food is enjoying it along with good company in the local pub or restaurant. While you’ll find plenty of great food in Ireland’s major cities, here are some traditional dishes to savor while on our Ireland tours:
- Irish stew. This hearty stew is made with lamb, potatoes, carrots, onions, and other vegetables. It’s typically cooked in a slow cooker or on the stovetop until the meat is tender and the flavors have melded together.
- Soda bread. This traditional Irish bread uses baking soda instead of yeast as a leavening agent, giving it a slightly sour flavor that’s balanced by the sweetness of the buttermilk. Topped with butter and jam, it’s a great accompaniment to soups, salads, and stews.
- Boxty. The Irish version of the fried potato pancake was originally made to use up leftover potatoes. The key to its trademark consistency is finely grated potato mixed with flour and buttermilk. Enjoy it plain or topped with bacon, cheese, or eggs.
- Scones. Rich, buttery Irish scones (pronounced “scons” locally) may be the best you’ve ever tasted. They’re made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, including stone-ground flour, Irish butter, and buttermilk. They’re often paired with homemade jam, clotted cream, or butter.
- Shepherd’s pie. You’ll find this hearty baked pie at nearly every pub in Ireland. The popular (and delicious!) comfort food is made with a mix of ground lamb and vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes and cheese.
- Fish and chips. This classic dish, and popular fast-food option, is made with fried fish and french fries. It’s best enjoyed by popping into a pub for some conversation with locals as you dig into your meal.
- Guinness. Brewed in Dublin, Guinness is known for its smooth, creamy texture and its roasted, chocolatey flavor. At pubs all over Ireland, they’ll pour it correctly to create its iconic creamy head. It’s a beer that pairs well with Irish food—especially fish and chips.
Even though the weather can be quite unpredictable, we recommend packing light for our trips to Ireland. One suitcase and one carry-on per person is a good guideline to follow; you should feel comfortable managing your baggage at the airport. After you’ve booked one of our tour packages, we’ll give you information about how to prepare for your particular trip and even share a packing list in our mobile app.
- Layers. We recommend packing lots of layers to accommodate varying temperatures, as well as a light jacket or rainwear.
- Travel umbrella. You’ll appreciate having a packable umbrella handy in case of spot showers.
- Comfortable walking shoes. Since you’ll be doing a lot of walking while on our guided tours to Ireland, a comfortable pair of walking shoes, sneakers, or boots is essential to have. Those walking shoes will come in handy in a country best explored on foot.
- Dressier attire. You may want to pack dressier attire if you plan to visit a high-end restaurant or attend a special performance.
- Sun protection. For all our trips, especially during the summer months in Ireland, we recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect your face and the back of your neck.
- An RFID money belt or wallet. These are always a great idea when traveling internationally, especially through airports and crowded city streets. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) can protect your credit card info from electronic theft, and a money belt will conceal your cash without ruining your outfit.
Once you’ve reserved one of our Ireland tour packages, we’ll send you detailed information about what to bring with you. Don’t forget to download the Go Ahead Tour companion app before you take off, so you’ll have all the info you need about your trip right in your pocket.

Destination Must-Sees
Cliffs of Moher:
Stand in absolute awe of these series of cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. On a clear day you can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay as well as other iconic sites. Go to O’Brien’s Tower which stands near the highest point of the cliffs and has been a favorite viewing spot for hundreds of years.
Giant’s Causeway:
Giant’s Causeway was formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity that produced “stepping stones” that look like an old cobbled road leading mysteriously into the sea. This is a UNESCO site and an absolute must-see.
Dublin, the “Fair City”:
This modern yet traditional capital city of Ireland is filled to the brim with charm! Fall in love while strolling through the city’s rows of magnificent Georgian townhouses. See St. Patrick’s Cathedral which dates back to the 13th century.
Destination Must-Do's
Visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn about the brewing process that produces this beloved beer. Savor this world-famous Irish stout (dark beer) that originated in the brewery of Arthur Guinness located in Dublin.
Irish House Party:
Just a few minutes from the city center in an 18th century townhouse, you’ll enjoy an incredible and fun experience in Dublin. Join in the toe-tapping, rocking fun of this popular music showcase featuring traditional Irish dancing and music at their best.
40 Shades of Green:
Listen up – this melodic song about Ireland was written and performed by American country singer Johnny Cash in 1958. He recalled singing this song in Ireland and being told that it sounded like an old Irish folk tune. Listen to it to set the mood for your trip.
Ah, pubs are THE place to grab a pint of your favorite beverage, relax, and join in socializing with the locals. Strike up a conversation and hear great stories from Ireland’s rich bank of folklore. This is a vibrant, warm and welcoming place to truly get to know the people of Ireland.
Expert Advice
If you have some extra time before your tour begins to explore Dublin, you'll find plenty to do! The public bus service allows you to easily make your way around, or perhaps hop on a double decker sightseeing bus which loops through the city, giving you access to some of the city’s highlights.
As you prepare to explore Ireland — the verdant Emerald Isle — enjoy a casual dress style and be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes. It is recommended to bring clothing that may be worn in layers and can be added or removed as the temperature changes.
While cooking in Ireland can be considered simple, it’s also quite modern and tasty. Favorites like fish and chips, Irish breakfasts, potatoes prepared in various ways, soda bread, Irish stew and shellfish are quite common. All in all, you will eat very well during your time exploring Ireland.

Welcome to Ireland
The Emerald Isle bids you a hundred thousand welcomes, making you feel right at home with its friendly locals, windswept beauty, and stones with stories to tell…
Bunratty castle & folk park, step back to 19th-century ireland.
Bring your imagination... expect a little magic... and discover what it was like to live in the 1800s in a small village in Ireland. The houses and shops in the Folk Park are a collection of typical 19th-century Irish buildings such as the school, doctor's house, pawnbrokers, pub, drapery, printworks, grocery, hardware shop, pottery and a post office. From the castle... to a pet farm... to a beautiful walled garden, your family immerses in all things Irish.
Private sheep-shearing demonstration
Watch a sheep-shearing champion at work on a private visit to an irish sheep farm.
In many countries around the world, the art of sheep shearing – cutting off a sheep's woolen fleece, usually once a year – is not only an important skill on the farm, but a competitive sport among shearers who are typically fit and highly experienced. Ireland has produced many champion shearers, including world-record-breaking Patrick Moran. In a private visit and demonstration on a farm in Derreen, learn how sheep shearing has progressed over the centuries… and meet champion shearer Moran and see him in action, shearing by hand in the traditional style.
Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre
Private recital at st. fin barre's cathedral, attend a private recital in the triple-spired, gothic revival st. fin barre's cathedral in cork.
The magnificent, three-spired St. Fin Barre's Cathedral in the Irish city of Cork looks every bit like a grand Gothic cathedral from the medieval era, but it's actually a Gothic Revival masterpiece designed in the 19th century by English architect William Burges, and completed in 1879, on a site connected with Cork's patron saint, the 6th-century abbot Finbarr of Cork. But this 19th-century cathedral is no less majestic than its medieval counterparts – it's adorned by more than 1,200 sculptures inside and out, including gargoyles – and is a fitting setting for a private musical recital for Tauck guests only.
Belfast's Titanic exhibit and a Titanic dinner
Belfast's award-winning titanic museum... followed by a 9-course titanic tasting dinner.
Learn insider stories behind Titanic, designed to be one of the finest ships ever to grace the seas, on your visit to Titanic Belfast, built on the site of the former Queen's Island shipyards that produced the ill-fated liner. J. Bruce Ismay, Chairman of the White Star Line, asked Lord Pirrie of shipbuilders Harland & Wolff to construct "a stable ship that will not disturb the sediment in the fine wines" they were drinking together at a planning meeting. And while Titanic was, according to her builders, "as nearly as perfect as human brains can make her," she proved no match for nature. Discover more in modern-day galleries that bring the legendary ship back to life... and enjoy a 5-course Titanic tasting dinner in the Great Room of The Merchant Hotel.

Prendergast guides Ireland to first-ever T20I win against England
Prendergast scored 51-ball 80 as Ireland chased down 170 with five wickets in hand and one ball to spare
It has been a week of amazing results for the Ireland Women’s cricket team as they first defeated the England women’s team in an ODI for the second time in history after a gap of 23 years on September 11, and then registered their maiden T20I victory over the same opposition on September 15 (Sunday).
In the second T20I of the two-match series, Orla Prendergast was the game-changer for the Irish women, who were beaten in the first game. While the Irish team had been bowled out for 109, chasing 177 in the first T20I, in the second one, they were set a target of 170 at the Clontarf Cricket Club, Dublin.
The Irish women lost Amy Hunter early on in the chase. However, skipper Gaby Lewis added 79 with Prendergast for the second wicket and gave some momentum to the side. However, it was the partnership (81 off 47 balls) for the third wicket between Prendergast and Leah Paul that kept Ireland believing that they could pull off the miraculous win.
After reaching her fifty in 39 balls, the 22-year-old accelerated big time and hit her next 30 runs in just 11 balls. Paul played a crucial knock of run-a-ball 27 and was there in the last over to see her team through even as Mady Villiers took two wickets in the last over, trying to defend six runs.
Ireland became the eighth nation to beat England in T20Is. The English women are only unbeaten against Thailand and Bangladesh in the format. The T20I series finished 1-1 . While the England team was without their main players as they were preparing for the T20 World Cup, Ireland could not qualify for the global showpiece event starting October 3.

Hugh Bonneville announces Paddington UK and Ireland tour for new movie
Get the marmalade in, Paddington's coming to visit.
Hugh Bonneville has announced that Paddington Bear is going a tour of the UK and Ireland... sort of.
To promote the release of Paddington in Peru in November, Studiocanal has revealed Paddington Visit, a series of hand-painted statues that will be situated at benches here, there, and everywhere.
In the short announcement video, Bonneville said: "I am thrilled to reveal we are going to be unveiling a number of benches across the UK, all featuring a statue of our beloved bear.

"Ahead of the new film, fans, families and friends can sit down and have a chat with the marmalade-loving bear, so watch this space for more information about Paddington…coming to a bench near you!"
You don't have to watch this space for long, as we can reveal some more information right now.
The statues, which will of course see Paddington holding a marmalade sandwich in hand, will be installed in early October at the following places:
- Bury St Edmunds
- County Mayo
- John O’ Groats
- London Paddington
- London Westfield
- Newtownards
- Peterborough
- Southampton
It's not the only bit of Paddington promotion happening this year, as it was announced back in the summer that cosmetics company Jo Malone had created a very fancy and expensive marmalade cologne .

On arrival at Dublin Airport, reclaim your baggage and enter the Arrivals Hall. Here, you will meet your tour guide (who is also your driver). There will be three group transfers this morning between 7:00 am and 1200 noon. To ensure a smooth start to your tour, it is advisable to aim for an arrival time in Dublin Airport before 11:00 am, as clearing immigration and reclaiming baggage typically takes around 1 hour.

On the Atlantic coast, you will stand on the Cliffs of Moher . Braced against the ocean, on the coast of County Clare. I did the 6-day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour and Harry was a great driver and tour guide! He was super entertaining and kept us on schedule so we could maximize our time at all our stops. The tour itself was jam packed with cool sites and drives, and it was really nice to only have to move hotels once in the middle of the tour. I really feel I got a great overview of a large chunk of the Republic of Ireland and got to see so many highlights of the country.
Sean Emerson
Our guide, Harry Fisher, was awesome. We did the 6-day tour of Ireland. Somehow, we managed to see most of the country in that time. Harry was very informative and entertaining the whole time and really took care of us. We wish we could have had more time at each stop, like in Galway or Killarney, but otherwise it was a great trip. I would definitely recommend this tour for someone who wants to see all of Ireland in a week.
Michelle McNamara
What a great trip we had! My Ireland Tours 6-day tour was amazing. There was something for everyone. Very nice airport pickup and offered post tour drop off options for either Shannon or Dublin airport. Tour was packed with fun and Interesting stops, wonderful descriptions and storytelling We toured Ireland in a comfortable & clean bus equipped with USB ports for phone charging. The hotel accommodations were good with breakfasts. We appreciated the fact that the itinerary had us changing hotels just twice during the 6-day tour. Corresponding to each day of travel. Most importantly our tour guide Seamus, was kind, informative with great service and professionalism. Highly recommend as this was definitely one of the best trips weve ever been on!!>
Nicolette Schilling
My dad and I took the 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour in June 2024 with Seamus as our guide. Everything was wonderful and Seamus made us feel like we were a part of his family. The hotels were great and the amount of free time versus guided time was appropriately balanced. Seamus was hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable about Ireland and every place we went to. The itinerary that was sent to us a week before our trip was well laid out and followed thoroughly. There were no surprises. We are considering a trip to Scotland and would definitely use My Ireland Tour again should we decide to go.

The 6 day tour of Ireland was action packed and so well planned. Seamus, our driver, told us fabulous tale and historical information. He made the trip even better. We highly recommend.

We had the please of not only seeing a magnificent country but also of being driven around Ireland by George Murray. For those lucky enough to have toured with George you will already appreciated both his knowledge of Ireland and his passion for Ireland. Great bloke, great tour, great people on it so I would highly recommend.
I enjoyed our time with My Ireland Tour. Our driver was fantastic and the selected tour stops were great. We really enjoyed the small village experiences, the scenic drives and stops to enjoy the views, and natural areas. Less time in the city and more time in the countryside to see natural sites, castles, waterfalls, etc... would be recommended. The only significant downside was available transportation was part of our expense from arriving and to the departing airport and this only applied to the the tour dates. Many of the people in our group arrived early and or stayed later. Providing transportation or a voucher to cover the cost of transportation from the arriving and departing airports around the city or very near to the respective airports should be included or a discount applied if arrival and departure transportation would not be needed. Otherwise, we had a great time!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6-day Ireland tour. Seamus was personable, helpful, funny, and a font of information about the sites we visited. He was always clear with expectations for when we needed to be on the bus, ready to roll every morning, answered our questions fully and patiently, and obviously has a tremendous love for his country. We were amazed at his skillful and safe driving on the narrow, local roads and city streets, and especially when meeting other buses! If we were to have the opportunity for another tour with My Ireland Tours, we'd love to have Seamus as our guide!
Shannon Gatrell
We did the 6 day Iconic Scenes of Ireland with Seamus as our trusty driver and guide... Excellent tour with lots to see and just enough free time to do our own thing. It was great that they don't book the bus completely full and you have a bit of room to be comfortable. Hotels were fantastic and it was nice not having to switch rooms every night by doing the 'hub and spoke' method. Would highly recommend!

I just got back from the 6 day Ireland tour. It was an amazing experience. Seamus was the best driver he had lots of information on every site we visited. He helped us with transportation options since we were staying an extra day to explore Belfast. Iâm not sure what we would have done without his help. I highly recommend this tour group!

My mom and I did the 6 day iconic tour of Ireland in May 2024. It was absolutely amazing. We found the small group wonderful. The group was made up of people of different ages, areas, marital status, etc. and everyone got along very well together. The places we visited and the times allotted to each site was perfect - we didn't feel rushed. Staying in the same hotel a few nights in a row really made a difference. Our coach driver and tour guide, Seamus Keogh, was the best. He was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable on Irelandâs history and landmarks, and has a great sense of humor. I would 100% recommend this company and tour to my family and friends. An unforgettable experience.

My best friend and I just returned from the 6 day tour during which Seamus Keogh was our driver and guide. Seamus and the tour were fantastic! The sites, the scenery, and the weather were wonderful and it was a pleasure not to have to change hotel rooms every night. This tour was a great way to get a large taste of Ireland!

My son and I were on the 6 Day Iconic Ireland tour (May 5th - 10th) and had a wonderul time. Seamus Keough really made the tour special sharing his knowledge of the history and current day to day life in Ireland. Lots of opportunities to stop for a 'flash and dash'! Great group of people on the the trip and we saw so many spectacular sites. The Clayton Hotels in Dublin and LImerick were very nice with great morning breakfast buffets to get us started. All in all, it was grand!
I was a solo traveler! I travel a lot by myself. This was my first tour group vacation. Meet some great ladies and now have to new friends. Seamus did a 'grande' job on our 6 day small group tour! He is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, fun, has a witty sense of humor that we ALL enjoyed. He is an honest man setting expectations with their unpredictable weather. . Excellent Driver! Always felt safe! The way he was able to maneuver that bus on some of those super narrow streets blows my mind away. The tour was good visited a lot of places in a short amount of time, which was perfect for me. Really enjoyed the two nights in Dublin and three in Limerick. I don't care for packing up and leaving everyday. I loved the small group (24 on my tour) with LOTS of room on the coach for everybody.

Four of us booked a 6 day Iconic Tour of Ireland. First time travelers with this tour group. I can say we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Don as our driver and Irish 'expert'. He was lively, informative and extremely helpful as we went through the tour. He kept us up-to-date on the daily events and prepared us for the next day. We would definitely book again with My Ireland Tours. I'd also like to mention the office help we received from Shannon was great. Thank you all for making our trip special and memorable!

We did the 6 day Iconic Ireland tour coming from United States for the first time and John was our guide. John is such a wonderful person and so knowledgeable we could have never seen the amazing scenes without his experience and AMAZING driving skills. He adjusted our schedule a few days to give us the chance to see even more amazing things in Ireland. The bus was very clean and all the people on the bus were so much fun. The hotels were clean and safe. We were so happy with the entire experience and will definitely use the tour company again. Thank you so much again. Eileen and Rich.
My group of 6 had a wonderful time on our 5 night Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour. Damian our guide was a treasure trove of information and a delight with a great sense of humor. A tropical storm didn't keep him from showing us around the Ring of Kerry. We were able to see many highlights of the country including the Cliffs of Moher, Glendalough, Blarney Castle, and Galway. My Ireland tour made everything so easy from airport transfers, to accommodations, to general communication. Greatly recommend

Colum was our guide and he has the gift of gab! We learned Irish history, heard hilarious tales and music. The tour is comprehensive while being relaxed. No rush, just fun and education. The accommodations were wonderful, the meals excellent and often enough that a snack was all we needed between. Our group was bonded by rhe end. Colum is a very competent driver and was also calm and respectful of other drivers. I felt safe and cared for at all times. I would go anywhere with My Ireland Tour.
Thank you for an amazing tour! Our family really enjoyed the 6-Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour. Our tour guide/driver, George, was excellent!! He was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and entertaining, sharing his knowledge of both historical events and modern Ireland. The days were very long, but because of this, we were able to see so much in just five days!! The coach bus was modern and not overcrowded, so everyone had an ample amount of space. Glendalough, Galway, The Cliffs of Moher, The Ring of Kerry, Killarney and Blarney Castle.....all stunningly beautiful!! It's hard to pick a favorite! We can't wait to visit again someday. Thank you for exceeding our expectations and being a part of life long memories made.

We recently returned from the 6 Day Iconic Ireland tour. My wife, myself and 2 of our grown sons (both in their 20s) took the tour. Our driver and guide, Sean was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a vast amount of Irish history along the way. Sean was thoughtful, kind, and patient. He was also an excellent driver despite the narrow, curvy roads. The tour included a variety of sites in the 6 days, giving us a taste of many different things. We all enjoyed it immensely and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Ireland.

I can't recommend My Ireland Tour highly enough! We just returned from the 6-Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour, and it was more amazing than I could have hoped. Our guide, Sean, was so kind and knowledgable. He made our experience truly special. We went with my mom for her 80th birthday and it was a bucket list dream come true for her. We would not hesitate to use My Ireland Tour again.

We just returned from our 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour. This was our first time traveling with a tour group. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Everyone was friendly and prompt. Our Driver-Guide was Austin McArdle. He took great care of us. He shared his personal stories and had great knowledge of the culture. This was a terrific tour with lots to see. We had planned visits and time on our own to explore. I highly recommend My Ireland Tour Company. Cheers!

I recently returned from the 6-day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour. I was traveling with my husband and our 14 year-old son. We all enjoyed the tour so much. We felt that it was very well paced - we were able to see a lot of the different regions of Ireland and hit the highlights, but it never felt overwhelming or exhausting. There was always time to relax with a drink in a pub or enjoy a leisurely meal or do some exploring on our own. We also liked that, while a couple of the attractions we visited had guided tours, we weren't herded around as a group the entire time. Many times, we were dropped off at a location and told what time to meet back on the bus, but then we could decide what we wanted to do/see at that particular place (whether it was a town/city or someplace like the Blarney Castle or Cliffs of Moher). I appreciated the balance between a structured itinerary and some freedom within that framework. Our driver/guide, Brian, was friendly, helpful, always in good spirits, and he was an excellent driver, navigating the winding cliffs and corkscrew turns on narrow roads with ease! He was very knowledgeable about Ireland and shared helpful tidbits of history, local culture and language, and Irish music along the way. The coach bus was spacious and very comfortable with large windows, air conditioning, footrests, and plush seats. We had 23 people on the tour and the bus could have fit twice as many, so plenty of room to spread out and relax. The time on the coach was a great time to catch a catnap or take in the gorgeous scenery. The hotels we stayed at were modern and comfortable, and most importantly, they were centrally located near restaurants and other attractions. In Dublin, we were able to walk to St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, Grafton Street, which was so convenient. The hub-and-spoke format of the tour itinerary was great because we only had to move hotels one time, but still got to see a lot of the country. Everything was generally well organized and ran smoothly, which made for a stress-free trip! I wouldn't hesitate to go on another My Ireland Tour trip, and I will certainly recommend them to others.

Thank you for a wonderful experience! Every aspect of the 6-Day Iconic Scenes Tour exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide and driver, Garey Goddard, was fantastic. He provided a wealth of interesting information, and ran our tour precisely and perfectly. The pre-trip communications with Keith O'Driscoll were perfect as well. My husband and I recommend this tour very highly, and hope to take another My Ireland Tour in our future travels.

What a great tour! This trip was everything I hoped it would be. We packed a lot into 6 days but I also felt that we had plenty of free time. Our driver, Cathal, was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. The hotels were nice and and the food was fantastic. If you have never been to the island before (like me), I would highly recommend My Ireland Tour. I cannot wait to return to Ireland! What wonderful memories.

I took the 6 Day Iconic Scenes Tour, and it was perfect in every way! The hotels were wonderful and well located for individual sightseeing time, and the itinerary gave a beautiful overview of this lovely country. Liam was an exceptional tour guide. His broad sweep and depth of knowledge of seemingly every aspect of Irish history and culture assured that we came away with new understandings and appreciation of Ireland and its people. My father's people are all from County Cork, so traveling to Ireland was a lifelong dream of mine. I am so grateful for such an outstanding experience! Thanks Tony!

I did the 6 day Highlights of Ireland Tour and had a great time. Liam our tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. He was also quite funny. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were a few small things I would have done differently or added. For example I have been on tours where they provided a bottle of water each day just as an added touch. Also, the first day there was a little confusion and we didn't get very clear instructions on following Liam to some of the sites we visited, but when day two kicked things were a bit more organized. I will definitely use this company again when I return to Ireland. I also want to mention that Liam went out of his way to drop those of us who were returning to Dublin at various locations on the last day of the tour. He could have easily just dropped us in a central location but he tried to get us as close to where we needed to be as possible.

this trip was my dream trip, a birthday present from my daughter. We did the 6 day Iconic tour with guide/driver Liam Finnigan and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience he gave us with his excellent knowledge of the history, culture and stories, we were even entertained one day by him singing a couple of Irish ballads, a very talented man. the hotels where top notch with wonderful staff and facilities, my favorite time was travelling the Ring of Kerry, oh the views, superb to say the least, loved Limerick, Killarney, Blarney, etc. I left my heart in Ireland, will never forget this memorable trip, the people, so kind and friendly, and most of all the landscape, breathtaking. I would whole-heartedly recommend 'My Ireland Tours' , already have. thank you so much, Sincerely, Pamela Newton

My family and I had a wonderful time on the 6 day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour. Our guide and driver was Ben Sullivan and he made it spectacular! He was so generous, kind, and of course entertaining! We had beautiful weather and saw SO much in 6 days! We would have liked to spend less time on the bus and more at some of the sites, but that is to be expected with a short tour and lots of stops. Overall we were very pleased and would do it again!

My wife and I booked the '6-Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland' tour for our much delayed honeymoon (we got married during COVID), and it was absolutely fantastic. From the first moment we landed in Dublin airport to leaving Shannon airport, 'My Ireland Tour' took care of us and not once did we ever feel lost or unsafe. BIG shout out to Tom Lavin as our driver/tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, friendly, and a terrific driver. The trip honestly was great BECAUSE of him. When you are with 24 other people for 6 days, and lots of moving parts, its great to have a calm and collected guide like Tom. His humor had my wife and I in stiches at times. The hotels we went to (Clayton Hotel) did its job. They were clean, the staff was welcoming, and the food was OK. Nothing to right home about, so I would recommend trying out the local restaurants nearby. Even though it was technically 5 days worth of a trip (the 6th day is transporting back to the airport), there were lots of sites we went to. Highlights were: Guinness, EPIC Irish Migration Museum, Cliff Of Moher, Ring of Kerry, and kissing the Blarney Stone. We were lucky in that the weather was fantastic and it never rained and had sunny skies. Even so, I would be prepared to bring waterproof pants/boots and rain jacket. It is quite windy in Cliff Of Moher, so I would definitely layer up on that day. The coach that we were on were also comfortable. Although we spent many hours in the coach, it didn't feel too bad since Tom gave us plenty of stops along the way to stretch our legs and buy some food to eat. Finally, it was quite bitter sweet leaving Ireland. The people, food, history, and landscape, were all beautiful and my wife and I are already planning for more trips there. Thank you 'My Ireland Tour' for making this possible!

We took the 6 day iconic Scenes of Ireland tour. It was great, Raymond our driver was wonderful, the tour sites were perfect and the whole trip was organized and executed very well. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars( I would give it 4.5) is I am not really sure why we spent three of the nights in Limerick City. There is not much night life at all so we spent most nights in the hotel(as did most of the other folks on our tour) Obviously I don't know a lot about the logistics of orchestrating a tour but Limerick does not seem to be the best 'base camp' for the locations we visited from there as they were quite far from the hotel. Since we were such a small group I feel like there could have been better lodging options location wise. Other than that it was a wonderful taste of Ireland, we will definitely return and will use My Ireland tour again.
I recently returned from the 6 day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour. Having never been to Ireland before, this was a great introduction and allowed us to see many sites and attractions. Our tour guide, John Dennany was excellent and allowed flexibility with the itinerary. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of. The hotel accommodations at Hotel Clayton in Dublin and Limerick exceeded expectations. I will definitely be coming back and checking out another My Ireland Tour!

I took the six day iconic tour of Ireland with Brian as our driver & guide. Brian was an excellent driver on the narrow roads along the Ring of Kerry. He added history & local knowledge to the tour to ensure we learnt about Ireland and its people on the journey. Some days were long but always enjoyable and we were blessed with sunny weather for the whole tour. I would highly recommend this company for travelling in Ireland.

My father has always wanted to see Ireland (me too), so we booked the 6-Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland tour and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our driver was Brian Rawlings and was the star of the tour. This man was hilarious, an excellent driver (those roads are narrow!), and extremely passionate about Ireland's history and people. If I entered an Irish trivia competition I would decimate everyone with the knowledge that Brian bestowed upon me. I was debating renting a car and touring the island on our own, but I'm glad I went with the bus tour. Everything was handled for us and it allowed us to lean back and truly enjoy the experience. Hotels were perfect, food was amazing. Be prepared for a bit of walking if you're not used to that. It's good for ye. I can't recommend My Ireland Tour enough. If you're on the fence, buy the tickets and you won't be disappointed.

We took the six day tour of southern Ireland with George as our driver / guide. This tour was very well organised and George was excellent in providing history, local knowledge and he went the extra mile in making sure we all had a good time. We have already begun to plan our next trip with My Ireland Tour! Our guide/driver was Garey Goddard, he did a fantastic job! Garey was knowledgeable and funny! We enjoyed our 6-day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour immensely. The tour packs a lot of sightseeing into less than a week. The pace is quick, but with plenty of stops to get out and explore. I can't really add much to the great reviews of MyIreland Tours that I have seen! We did the 6 day tour recently and had a wonderful time, so well organized, comfortable bus, great sights, great communication with the company before we left. Special mention of our driver David- he was organized, funny, helpful, a great driver, so informative about Irish history and landmarks, and there was not a question that he couldn't answer!
This was an outstanding tour from start to finish! Shannon kept us informed and helped with questions before we left. Once on the trip Pat P., our driver, was excellent. He was a wealth of information and kept the tour running smooth. It also helped that he was absolutely hilarious! We plan on traveling to Ireland again and will definitely use this company!

My husband and I recently returned from the six-day Iconic Ireland Tour, which we had signed up for to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint! Neither of us had been to Ireland before, and found it very interesting, engaging, and beautiful. Our driver/guide, Kieran, was knowledgeable, flexible, and very fun. I felt that it was a nice mix of 'tour and visit' time plus adequate 'on-your-own' time. It was also an excellent mix of participants--different ages, different backgrounds. I really appreciated that. In addition, I was impressed by how quickly the tour company got back to me whenever I had questions. All in all, for many reasons, it was a great trip! Thanks so much for a wonderful and memorable experience, 'My Ireland Tours.'

We recently did the 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland 2022. It was excellent. Ben was a fantastic guide and driver. They were really accommodating, even dropped us in Dublin after a trip so we did not need to get an Uber. The Clayton Hotel was great, their breakfast was amazing. We loved every stop and every scenic view on this our. Ben was entertaining and a very good singer. He can tell you everything about his country and his home town. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get their first glimpse of Ireland. We packed it in. The Jameson tour was awesome and I don't even care about Whiskey. Now I am drinking Jameson and Ginger with a splash of lime. The drive is so relaxing I was able to catch up on my sleep and felt so comfortable. I cannot say enough positive things. We are usually cruisers this was our first tour and we will be back to take another one with them! Just do it!!!!!

We just returned from the Six Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour. As we were considering this tour and after booking it, Martina Hegarty answered several questions promptly and graciously. Brian Treanor, our driver/guide, happily took us from the airport to our splendid hotel, introducing us to Ireland and answering questions. During each and every day of our excursion, it was clear that Brian's goal was to make everyone's trip comfortable and memorable. His narrations were so interesting that I took notes, which I will share with family. Additionally, we were impressed with his superb driving skills. This six-day tour skillfully highlights the most popular attractions in Ireland. Our accommodations were terrific. We confidently recommend My Ireland Tours.

We traveled as a couple in late June 2019. Touring is a great way to see the country. Ben, our Tour Guide and driver, was a passionate Irishman whose love for all things Irish, helped bring the Tour alive. From geology to history to agriculture and music, Ben gave us more than a drive through the country. He was a cultural guide who shared his love of his country. The countryside, towns and villages and the folk we met along the way made the journey one to remember. We were blessed with a beautiful bunch of people on the Tour which made for some lively happy times on and off the bus. This was our first Tour ever and it was a very good experience. You must be ready for the up-and-go nature of Touring; there's not much time to spend anywhere, but there are restful times to be had on the bus and the hotel accommodation was good - terrific in Dublin and good in Limerick. We would recommend the Tour to anyone wanting to see a big swathe of the country and if you're lucky enough to get Ben, that's a bonus! Thanks to all involved.

10 of us ,2 couples and 6 adult children in their 20's, took the 6 day iconic tour. Ben was a very charming guide. We loved his singing and his stories. Wish we had more time at a few spots but loved this trip. Glad our flight was delayed a day so we spent more time in Dublin.

We had an absolutely incredible time during our 6-Day Iconic Tour of Ireland during June 2019. We began planning the trip more than 6 months in advance and Martina was very helpful during the process to include assisting us in reserving hotel rooms for additional nights. Our tour guide/driver - Kieran was amazing. Not only was he a very impressive driver as he maneuvered the charter bus around the country but his knowledge of Ireland ranged from agriculture, to industry, to economic to an amazing knowledge of Irish history to include Viking history of which I knew nothing. We were lucky to have a great group to travel with - I don't recall anyone complaining about a single thing for the entire trip which is rare when you have 22 adults together. I don't think we can give Kieran credit for the weather but we were very fortunate to have perfect weather each day so as to be comfortable and to be able to enjoy viewing the Cliffs of Moher and the Ring of Kerry as well as Blarney Caste. We didn't know anything about the monastery at Glendalough before going and I actually thought a monastery would be boring - BUT - we were blown away by this place, the history, the beauty, the spiritual feeling you couldn't help but get there. We loved it, it was worth the cost and worth the planning.

I just returned with my family from the 6 Day Iconic Scenes tour and we had an amazing time! There were 8 of us in total and no one had any complaints... if you knew my family you'd realize how earth shattering this is! When looking for a tour company I looked for every review possible on MIT and was slightly skeptical at the lack of low reviews ,this was my first time taking an actual tour with a guide and schedule), but in reading almost every review I took a chance on MIT and do not regret it. Our tour guide/driver was Liam Finnegan and he gets a 15/10. His passion, charisma, and knowledge are off the charts! I would select another tour of his any day of the week. Thank you MIT for a phenomenal family trip, you have 8 new fans and promoters!

I hope to return!

My Ireland's hub and spoke tour was the perfect fit for my husband, myself and my over 80 year old mother in law who had never traveled out of country before. The fact that you only move hotels once during your 6 days makes for a more restful trip overall. Yet, you do not feel short changed in what you see; you still see Dublin, parts of the Wicklow Mountains, Galway, etc. You still hit all the high lights. It really was just perfect for us. Our guide and driver, Garry Horan, could not have been more pleasant. He made us feel very safe and comfortable with his driving skills, and with the comfort and cleanliness of the bus. He was a font of knowledge of Irish history . His humor and outgoing personality helped create a camaraderie among all the passengers on the bus, which in turn added to the wonderful experience. He made each and every passenger feel taken care of. I highly recommend this tour to one and all.

My husband and I just returned from Ireland and our wonderful 6 day iconic Ireland tour. We had never taken a tour of this length before and it was a pleasure to have all arranged for us. Liam Finnegan was our very knowledgeable and humorous guide and driver. He covered everything from history, to education, to language, myth and folklore, house construction to the meaning of place names etc while driving! He sang to us. We had a few long days and still he was always energetic and in good spirits. His driving was impeccable and his story telling was fascinating and engaging. We left the tour with an abiding love of Ireland and the Irish people and a deeper understanding of its history and present day issues. We stayed at the Clayton Hotel Burlington in Dublin which was very good and the Clayton Limerick which was good. Liam picked us up at the airport and dropped us to our hotel at the end of the tour which was most appreciated. I highly recommend My Ireland's 6 day iconic tour, we saw a lot, did a lot,and had fun and were also very fortunate to have great weather!

I just returned from the 6 day tour May 5-10. What an amazing experience! As a solo female traveler for the first time alone in another country, I was nervous. Our tour guide Brian and the amazing people on the tour made my experience spectacular. We all looked out for each other and feeling welcomed was so important to me. Our tour guide Brian was funny, very knowledgeable, and made sure we were safe at all times. The places we visited were so breathtaking. Thank you so much for this great experience. I will hold Ireland close to my heart forever.

Wow!!! We've just returned from the 6 Day Iconic Tour of Ireland and it was the trip of a lifetime. Every aspect of this trip was magnificent and we can't stop raving about it. The itinerary was wonderful, the bus was excellent and our guide, Peter Kelly was absolutely superb. The small group concept of this tour along with the .hub and spoke. structure made for a trip that was great beyond our expectations. Every single aspect of this tour from the booking process and through the entire tour itself were outstanding and we highly recommend My Ireland Tour for your visit to Ireland!

Our family of 4 traveled with My Ireland Tour company for the 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland. We thoroughly enjoyed the time. The country was quite lovely and we got to see a sampling of so many different things and areas around the island. It was so nice not to have to worry about driving. The hotels were nice, the coach was comfortable and new. The driver was excellent and contributed so much knowledge about the places that we visited and scenes along the way. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend the company.

Tour accommodation
Less packing and queuing. more adventure.
The 6-Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour [2024] is a hub-and-spoke tour . That means you stay in two quality hotels for the duration of your trip. No need to pack your bags and check-in again every day. With fewer hotel changes, you have more time to focus on making memories.
The hotels on this tour offer amazing quality and value to match. We are very selective in getting just the right accommodation for each specific tour, and we are very proud of the selection of hotels we have put together. Some of these hotels are family-owned, just like ourselves, and we have a long-standing relationship with them all.
Tour Vehicles
On a tour vacation, the journey can be just as important as the destination. That's why our tour buses are all of the highest standards, both in terms of luxury and reliability.
We choose our tour vehicles carefully. All our tour buses offer plenty of space to spread out, tinted windows, air conditioning and on-board fridges. It's what you should expect.
We deliberately leave some seats empty. In fact, we use 34-seater coaches, but limit the number of participants to 26. That's because we want all of our guests to be able to spread out, relax and enjoy the journey. This smaller group size is a core principle in our tours.
Please note: the bus shown in the gallery is one of the 34-seater coaches used on our tours for max. 26 guests. For any reason, should one of these become unavailable for your tour, we will endeavour to provide an equally luxurious and comfortable touring bus.

Hub & Spoke Tour
A hub-and-spoke tour is one that uses the same accommodation for as many nights as possible. That means less time packing and checking into hotels. More time for what matters.
What is a Hub & Spoke Tour?
The name comes from the Hub and Spokes of a bicycle wheel. The Hubs, (in this case the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road in Dublin and Clayton Hotel Limerick , are usually chosen for their central location to their surrounding attractions. Travelling to and from these destinations, from the 'Hub', if drawn onto a piece of paper, would appear similar to that of a bicycle wheel.
Advantages of a Hub & Spoke Tour
The advantages of this type of tour is that it reduces the time guests spend packing & checking-in and allows them more time to experience the attractions and culture of an area. In comparison with most other tours, where guests would spend a night in one hotel before moving onto another, the 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour only changes hotels once, allowing for a smoother, more relaxing experience.
Our 6 Day Hub & Spoke Tour
As a hub-and-spoke tour, the 6 Day Iconic Scenes of Ireland Tour requires guests to change hotels only once during their Ireland Tour. The hotels on this tour were chosen for their central locations to Ireland's most loved attractions. Clayton Hotel Burlington Road is based in Dublin City and makes a perfect base for Ireland's capital and East. Your 'hub' for the second part of this Tour of Ireland is the Clayton Hotel Limerick , offering easy access to the world-renowned attractions of Ireland's West.
More Time for What Matters
An Irish vacation with plenty to see and plenty of time to relax. If you have just six days to discover the very best that Ireland has to offer, then this Ireland tour is the one for you. A carefully composed mix of Ireland's stunning landscapes, its storied history and its legendary and vibrant culture.

Simon Easterby named Ireland interim head coach as Andy Farrell prepares for Lions tour
LAST UPDATE | 11 hrs ago
SIMON EASTERBY WILL become Ireland’s interim head coach from 1 December 2024.
Easterby will take charge of the Six Nations campaign and summer tour while head coach Andy Farrell leads the the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia in 2025.
IRFU performance director, David Humphreys, said: “I am delighted to confirm Simon’s promotion later this year and it is recognition of his evolution and high-standing as a coach within the Ireland set-up over the last 10 years.”
Humphreys added: “Today’s announcement ensures a smooth transition and continuity as Ireland looks to build towards an exciting few months ahead. Over the last decade Simon has moved from forwards coach to defence coach and he has played a key role in Ireland’s success during that time.
“As head coach for the Emerging Ireland Tour to South Africa in 2022 he had a front row seat as a number of players pushed on to achieve international selection in the intervening period. It is our hope that Simon and his coaching team can help reap more positive performances in the upcoming Emerging Ireland Tour to South Africa and then in the months to come.”
Easterby said: “To be asked to lead the Ireland team is a huge honour and one that I am thrilled to accept. It is the highest achievement of my coaching career to date and I’m looking forward to working with the talented backroom team and players while Andy is away with the British and Irish Lions.
“I have greatly enjoyed being a part of the men’s national team journey over the last 10 years and I believe that there are even brighter days ahead as we build towards a huge few months. There’s a lot to play for before December and we’re looking forward to providing the next crop of future Irish players with a chance to impress against talented international opponents in South Africa and then across the four Autumn Nations Series matches at Aviva Stadium.”
