Grundorf Mixer style cases are all custom built to fit YOUR gear! No more lugging around a manufacturer's "stock" sized case that dwarf's your gear and takes up way too much space in your vehicle!

With a Grundorf road case - you don't have to go home and "re-design" the interior of your case. Each case is lined with 1" thick foam to provide a "glove" fit and fully protect your valuable gear. And the best news is with a Grundorf road case, you save money! We don't charge extra for the custom fit!

  • MIXER TABLE - The Mixer Table option adds a "lip" under the bottom tray of the mixer case which stores a pair of wishbone table legs. This option requires minimum inside case dimensions of: W - 40" and D - 22".
  • COMPARTMENT - Add an additional storage compartment to the side or rear of any mixer case to store power supply, cords, and other accessories. The compartments may have painted, carpeted or foam lined interior finishes.
  • KEY LOCKS - Add optional recessed key-locking catches to your case to secure your valuable equipment!
  • DOGHOUSE - The Grundorf Doghouse allows connectors and snake cables to be covered while the mixer is in use. The Doghouse is constructed of birch plywood and has a black spatter paint finish. This doghouse adds 8" cable clearance and 9" to the overall depth of the case. The height of the doghouse is the same as the mixer.
  • CASTERS - Add a 3" or 4" caster dolly plate to your mixer case. The casters are mounted to a plywood dolly plate which is then mounted to the top lid of the case. There is a minimum width required for dolly plates to prevent the wheels from "knocking". This minimum may require the caster dolly plate to be wider than the actual case.

Why some major artists are suddenly canceling shows, and in some cases entire tours

A series of tour cancellations and changes by big-name artists has sparked questions about whether the post-pandemic live music boom could be cooling, as consumer spending fatigue meets elevated ticket prices.

On Friday, Jennifer Lopez announced she was canceling her 2024 tour , citing a desire to spend more time with her family. Meanwhile, the Black Keys announced they were abandoning a stadium tour in favor of a series of shows at smaller venues.

Both tours had recently become the subject of social media fodder, namely screenshots showing empty venues at select tour dates. (NBC News could could not directly verify their authenticity.)

Silhouettes of people enjoying a concert

Indeed, some of the evidence of a slowdown is anecdotal. SeatGeek said in an email that the average resale ticket price to attend a summer concert is down to $213 from $257 around this time last year. The company suggested some of the decline could be attributed to the absence of megatours on par with Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” and Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” outings last year.

For artists whose popularity has crescendoed, there appears to be plenty of demand — and high prices. The average resale price for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts” tour is $571, and the next-highest is $409 to see Morgan Wallen, according to SeatGeek data first reported by Axios .

Many of those tours are being sold through Ticketmaster and its parent Live Nation. And prior to facing landmark accusations that it is a monopoly , a claim it denies, Live Nation reported its biggest first quarter ever, with $3.8 billion in revenues. Its concerts business alone was up 26% to $2.9 billion, while “estimated fans” globally were up more than 20%, and up 42% in North America.

Yet official government data points to the makings of a return to a more normal pace for live music event sales after a post-pandemic boom. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last month that movie and concert admissions prices climbed just 3.4% year over year through April, the lowest reading since 2021 and the second-consecutive month showing a slowdown.

Dave Clark, editor of Ticket News, which tracks the live entertainment industry, said the period of explosive live music growth following pandemic reopenings may in hindsight be seen as an aberration: People were simply more eager — and more financially able — to go to as many shows as they could after months cooped up indoors.

This year, Clark said, a reckoning may be emerging.

“The days where there was enough demand to sell out arenas at top dollar just isn’t there in this live events economy — outside of people like Taylor Swift who can sell whatever they want wherever they want,” he said.

At a time when many consumers are struggling to pay for basic necessities, he said, “people are seeing some of the prices they’re asking and just saying, ‘Hard pass.’”

Another factor may be a supply issue, Clark added: too many acts trying to tour at once, or too many times. In the pre-streaming era, bands would go on tour as a way of marketing an album. These days, he said, it’s reversed, since the returns on recorded music have shrunk dramatically.

“Now they’re making records to sell the tour,” he said. “That paradigm has a lot to do with it. It’s just a very overloaded market.”

The Black Keys did just release a new album, and its debut single hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart in March.

Still, the rock duo announced it would cancel and reschedule its summer touring plans, switching from arenas to other venues that provide a more “intimate experience,” according to the band. The new dates have not yet been announced.

The Black Keys aren’t the only group that may be falling victim to costly concert fatigue.

Pop-rock band 311 announced it had canceled upcoming European tour dates due to the “rising costs of touring overseas,” which made completing certain portions of the tour “unfeasible.”

Other stars including Pink and Justin Timberlake have also recently canceled specific show dates, while the Jonas Brothers recently postponed their upcoming European tour , though none officially cited financial concerns as reasons for doing so.

“I think with all that competition for fan dollars, it was obviously natural that some artists were going to lose,” said Bill Werde, director of the Syracuse University Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries.

There are still plenty of large-scale tours planned for this summer that, so far, appear to be unaffected by flagging demand. Hootie & the Blowfish have 48 dates booked this year, while Dave Matthews Band is slated for 34. Other top acts hitting the road include Maroon 5, Zac Brown Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenny Chesney and Chris Stapleton.

But experts say recent economic trends in the live-music industry, especially the type of consolidation the Justice Department is now targeting, have translated into fewer smaller-sized venues.

That’s made it more difficult for a given tour date to make financial sense for the artist, venue and promoter.

“Some shows, they can’t afford to drop prices; they can’t afford to wait to try to sell out the rest of the building,” Clark said.

If there is uncertainty about all stakeholders being able to at least break even, he said, the show might get canceled.

Such realities have collided with a more circumspect concertgoer. Brittney D’Mello, a 23-year-old K-pop fan from New Jersey who works in corporate marketing, posted to X about her frustrations with the current touring landscape.

“The tickets are too expensive,” D’Mello said. “There’s only a SMALL amount of people (10%) that will spend $500+ on vip/floor/premium,” she said. “The rest of us have budgets and won’t spend $100 on nosebleeds,” she said, referring to seats that are typically the farthest away from the stage.

“Everyone is touring this year … and we only have money for 2-3 concerts MAX,” she added.

In a follow-up interview with NBC News, D’Mello said she simply decided to cap her concert budget.

“I will only go see two artists that are my tried-and-true favorite artists,” she said. “But I won’t be casually going to concerts anymore. And after going to concerts twice, I think that’s where I stop.”

Neko Case Announces Tour and Memoir

By Matthew Strauss

Neko Case

Neko Case has announced her memoir. The new book, The Harder I Fight The More I Love You: A Memoir , arrives on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, via Grand Central Publishing (GCP) . Find the book cover below.

A press release for the memoir includes a brief synopsis:

In The Harder I Fight The More I Love You , Case brings her trademark candor and precision to a memoir that traces her evolution from an invisible girl “raised by two dogs and a space heater” in rural Washington state to her improbable emergence as an internationally-acclaimed talent. The book is a rebellious meditation on identity and corruption, and a manifesto on how to make space for ourselves in this world, despite the obstacles we face.

In addition, Case said of her book in a statement, “I hope my story will cast a spell of love, invite everyone inside, and smash the illusion that we have no connection to each other.”

Just last month, Neko Case announced a tour of North America that will begin in September and conclude in October. See her tour dates below.

Case shared her most recent solo studio album, Hell-On , in June 2018. She and her band the New Pornographers released their new album Continue as a Guest last year.

Jan Ravnik is back by popular demand!

Not only has the professional dancer been providing backup during Taylor Swift ’s Eras tour, but he’s also been sharing dance routines to the Grammy-winner's songs on social media.

On Thursday, May 30, Ravnik posted a video on Instagram of him performing a choreographed routine alongside So You Think You Can Dance alum Audrey Case Shell.

Performing to Swift’s song “LOML,” the pair gracefully twirled and spun around together as Ravnik lifted up his dance partner throughout the performance. Together, the dancers matched the emotional beats of the heartbreaking songs.

At the end of the routine, the dancers lie next to each other on the ground with their heads and bodies facing opposite directions — a symbolic moment that captures the essence of "LOML," which is short for "Loss of My Life."

“Loss Of My Life 🥀 @taylorswift,” Ravnik’s caption read. “Dancers: @audreycase & @janravnik Choreo: @janravnik Video: @directedbyjon #taylorswift #loml #dance #partnering #ttpd.”

"Gorgeous ✨💖," singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat wrote.

Earlier this month, Ravnik shared a video of him and Shell dancing to Swift's song “So Long, London."

The video, which was shared to Instagram on May 5, featured the two performing against a white backdrop.

“This is STUNNING,” former Dancing with the Stars pro Witney Carson commented.

This came after the Eras tour backup dancer choreographed a dance to Swift’s song “Fortnight” with fellow Eras tour dancer Karen S. Chuang in April.

Back in March 2023, Ravnik revealed he would be taking part in Swift’s Eras tour.

"I’m beyond grateful to be part of @taylorswift Eras Tour 🙏🏼❤️ Still can’t put into words how I feel after yesterdays opening night!” he captioned a post on Instagram at the time. “I never thought that small town boy from Slovenia could come so far, but here we are 🙋🏻‍♂️🥹#erastour."

Taylor Swift kicks off her UK Eras tour tonight – what will the weather be like?

Taylor Swift and weather map.

The weather forecast looks typically British as Taylor Swift fans flock to Edinburgh for the first concerts of her hyped Eras tour in the UK.

It will kick off in Edinburgh , where the megastar will take to the stage for three concerts over the weekend.

Hardcore Swifties were pictured queueing up for merchandise already on Thursday outside Murrayfield Stadium in the Scottish capital which will host the sold-out concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

But what does the weather have in store as the nation welcomes Swift for the first leg of her stint in the UK?

PORTUGAL-US-MUSIC-CELEBRITY

The weekend forecast predicts a typical early summer weather for Edinburgh, so fans should make sure to pack something waterproof for queueing outside.

Friday, June 7 weather

WEATHER TEMPERATURE MAP TAYLOR SWIFT 7TH 8TH 9TH JUNE

On Friday, early ticketholders can get to the stadium from 3pm while all others have to wait until 4pm.

By the afternoon, the weather in the city should have cleared after heavy downpour in the morning and some rain until midday.

A spokesperson for the Met Office warned it will stay ‘blustery too.’

If everything runs on time, Taylor will get on stage from 8pm after American emo band Paramore has warmed up the crowd.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Lyon, France

The gig is set to wrap up at 11pm.

Evening weather looks to be dry with around 10°C as fans leave the stadium.

Elsewhere in the UK, rain will move across northwest to southeast in the morning, followed by heavy and thundery showers.

Saturday, June 8

WEATHER TEMPERATURE MAP TAYLOR SWIFT 7TH 8TH 9TH JUNE

The Met Office predicts sunny intervals in Edinburgh before light rain swoops in by lunchtime.

Peak daytime temperature will reach up to 14°C , the forecast said.

Luckily for hayfever sufferers, pollen levels are set to remain low throughout the weekend.

But don’t let the cooler temperatures fool you as the UV index shows high for Friday and Saturday and medium on Sunday.

Temperatures are set to fall slightly across the UK, although no area will be completely drenched as any rain remains patchy, with some wet weather in North West.

London is set to be dry and sunny over the weekend.

Sunday, June 9

WEATHER TEMPERATURE MAP TAYLOR SWIFT 7TH 8TH 9TH JUNE

In Edinburgh, temperatures can reach up to 15°C at about 4pm before some light showers in the early evening which should clear within hours.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: ‘Sunday: Somewhat cloudier through Sunday with showers, perhaps merging into longer spells into the afternoon. Winds easing, with highs of 15C.

‘Temperatures are generally slightly below average for the time of year.’

Fans can expect a dry evening as they bid farewell to Swift, who is set to have a short break in her tour schedule before three concerts in Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium from Thursday, June 13.

London could see the Sunday temperature peak at 18°C in the late afternoon.

Sean kingston released from jail after arrest & extradition, posts $100k bond, sean kingston released from jail after extradition mortgage used as collateral.

Sean Kingston is finally out of police custody after being arrested and extradited in his fraud case ... 'cause he was able to post bond, but had to jump through a couple hoops first.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, SK was released on a $100K bond Wednesday in Broward County with special conditions ... Sean had to surrender his passport and any firearms to officials.

Not just this ... but his mortgage collateral will also be filed in public records within 10 days -- so he's got his house on the line here.

The "Beautiful Girls" singer announced his newfound freedom on IG -- thanking God, his family, friends and extensive legal team ... plus his fans for supporting him throughout the ordeal. He also got reassurance from his mother, who's charged in the case as well.

Prosecutors claim Sean and his mother, Janice Turner swindled several businesses out of hundreds of thousands of dollars ... including a Cadillac car dealer, a high-end furniture store, and even a jeweler.

As we told you ... authorities also want SK to foot the $5,268.53 taxpayers' bill to extradite him from California to Florida ... which would only add to the massive tally he might end up owing if the case doesn't go his way.

He's got a long road ahead of him as he fights this ... but for now, he's a free man (ish).

Prosecutors Got Trump — But They Contorted the Law

tour mixer case

The first time I ever took a jury verdict, I almost passed out. I was a brand-new prosecutor, 29 years old, and had just given my first closing argument a few days earlier. Since then, the trial team and I had been whiling away our time, interrupted only by the occasional note from the jury seeking testimony or legal instructions as they deliberated. All of a sudden, we got word from the court clerk: Come on up, we have a verdict.

Let me tell you, there’s little in life that causes a burst of uncut adrenaline quite like the arrival of a verdict. I managed (barely) to hold it together as we performed the arcane, dramatic ritual that concludes every criminal trial. The judge brings the lawyers and the defendant back into the courtroom, the security officers take their places, the jury files in solemnly, and the judge asks: Ladies and gentlemen, have you reached a verdict? (Ummm, yes, Your Honor, that’s why we’re all back out here.) As I stood at the prosecution table while the jury took their places back in the box, I felt dizzy and had to use my arms to brace myself.

Moments before the jury read the verdict, my supervisor — a grizzled trial buzzsaw known for his blistering closing arguments — leaned over and whispered to me: “Whatever they say, no reaction. Don’t move a muscle.” I don’t know what I would’ve done if not for that last-second command. Maybe I would’ve been sensible enough not to react either way, but I’m not sure. As the jury read out its findings — starting with a “not guilty” on count one, to my horror, but then moving along to a string of convictions — I didn’t budge, or breathe, or blink.

The lesson I learned that day and throughout my prosecutorial career, and have come to value even more ever since, is that the jury’s verdict is sacrosanct. If a conviction goes our way, we prosecutors don’t pump our fists and celebrate, even mildly. And when a verdict goes against us, we don’t sulk. When we lose, we stand in and take it. Any emotional reaction, either way, would disrespect the judge, the jury, and, most importantly, the person whose liberty was about to be stripped. Prosecutors get to go to dinner and then sleep at home, no matter what the jury says. The defendant might not.

By any reasonable measure, the jury of Manhattanites who yesterday found former president Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges did its job, and did it well.

They took on a civic duty from which many others fled; during jury selection, when Judge Juan Merchan allowed potential jurors who did not want to serve essentially to walk out the door, over half the assembled pool headed straight for the exits. The jurors sat through six weeks of testimony, they were by all accounts attentive throughout the trial, and they asked precise, insightful questions of the judge during deliberations. Nobody’s truly in position to say if the jury got it right or wrong; they saw the evidence and we didn’t — most of us, that is, including those like me who followed every line of testimony as it happened; there’s no substitute for seeing it play out live. Reasonable minds could have come out either way, and this jury found that the prosecution carried its burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury’s work, and their verdict, deserve respect.

Third Degree With Elie Honig

Former federal and state prosecutor Elie Honig breaks down the headlines at the intersection of law and politics.

Subscribe on:

But that doesn’t mean that every structural infirmity around the Manhattan district attorney’s case has evaporated. Both of these things can be true at once: The jury did its job, and this case was an ill-conceived, unjustified mess. Sure, victory is the great deodorant, but a guilty verdict doesn’t make it all pure and right. Plenty of prosecutors have won plenty of convictions in cases that shouldn’t have been brought in the first place. “But they won” is no defense to a strained, convoluted reach unless the goal is to “win,” now, by any means necessary and worry about the credibility of the case and the fallout later.

The following are all undeniable facts.

The judge donated money — a tiny amount, $35, but in plain violation of a rule prohibiting New York judges from making political donations of any kind — to a pro-Biden, anti-Trump political operation, including funds that the judge earmarked for “resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s radical right-wing legacy.” Would folks have been just fine with the judge staying on the case if he had donated a couple bucks to “Re-elect Donald Trump, MAGA forever!”? Absolutely not.

District Attorney Alvin Bragg ran for office in an overwhelmingly Democratic county by touting his Trump-hunting prowess. He bizarrely (and falsely) boasted on the campaign trail, “It is a fact that I have sued Trump over 100 times.” (Disclosure: Both Bragg and Trump’s lead counsel, Todd Blanche, are friends and former colleagues of mine at the Southern District of New York.)

Most importantly, the DA’s charges against Trump push the outer boundaries of the law and due process. That’s not on the jury. That’s on the prosecutors who chose to bring the case and the judge who let it play out as it did.

The district attorney’s press office and its flaks often proclaim that falsification of business records charges are “ commonplace ” and, indeed, the office’s “ bread and butter .” That’s true only if you draw definitional lines so broad as to render them meaningless. Of course the DA charges falsification quite frequently; virtually any fraud case involves some sort of fake documentation.

But when you impose meaningful search parameters, the truth emerges: The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever. Even putting aside the specifics of election law, the Manhattan DA itself almost never brings any case in which falsification of business records is the only charge.

Standing alone, falsification charges would have been mere misdemeanors under New York law, which posed two problems for the DA. First, nobody cares about a misdemeanor, and it would be laughable to bring the first-ever charge against a former president for a trifling offense that falls within the same technical criminal classification as shoplifting a Snapple and a bag of Cheetos from a bodega. Second, the statute of limitations on a misdemeanor — two years — likely has long expired on Trump’s conduct, which dates to 2016 and 2017.

So, to inflate the charges up to the lowest-level felony (Class E, on a scale of Class A through E) — and to electroshock them back to life within the longer felony statute of limitations — the DA alleged that the falsification of business records was committed “with intent to commit another crime.” Here, according to prosecutors, the “another crime” is a New York State election-law violation, which in turn incorporates three separate “unlawful means”: federal campaign crimes, tax crimes, and falsification of still more documents. Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up — until right before closing arguments. So much for the constitutional obligation to provide notice to the defendant of the accusations against him in advance of trial. (This, folks, is what indictments are for.)

In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else.

The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the “Zombie Case” because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator.

Trump will appeal, as is his right, and he’s certain to contest the inventive charges constructed by the DA. I won’t go so far as to say an appeals court is likely to overturn a conviction — New York law is broad and hazy enough to (potentially) allow such machinations — but he’s going to have a decent shot at a reversal.

“No man is above the law.” It’s become cliché, but it’s an important point, and it’s worth pausing to reflect on the importance of this core principle. But it’s also meaningless pablum if we unquestioningly tolerate (or worse, celebrate) deviations from ordinary process and principle to get there. The jury’s word is indeed sacrosanct, as I learned long ago. But it can’t fix everything that preceded it. Here, prosecutors got their man, for now at least — but they also contorted the law in an unprecedented manner in their quest to snare their prey.

Alexander Zverev faces an ongoing trial in Germany during the French Open. Here’s what to know

BERLIN (AP) — As tennis pro Alexander Zverev competes for a Grand Slam title at the French Open in Paris, he is also involved in a court case at home in Germany connected to his former partner’s accusation he caused her bodily harm.

The fact that Zverev has continued to play one of tennis’ biggest events — he will play Norway’s Casper Ruud in the semifinals on Friday after winning his quarterfinal match against Australia’s Alex de Minaur on Wednesday night — while facing such serious allegations has highlighted the sport’s lack of a clear policy on domestic violence.

Here’s a look at the allegations Zverev is facing, the status of the trial in Berlin and wider reaction:

WHAT IS ZVEREV ACCUSED OF?

Zverev is facing a charge of causing bodily harm to his then-partner during an argument in Berlin in May 2020. The prosecution alleges he pushed her against a wall and choked her, German news agency dpa reported Friday from the trial.

The trial comes after Zverev contested an earlier penalty order issued Oct. 2, including a requirement for Zverev to pay fines amounting to 450,000 euros ($488,000). Penalty orders are used in Germany as a means of resolving some criminal cases without going to trial, if the suspect does not contest the order.

HOW HAS HE RESPONDED?

Zverev has denied wrongdoing and indicated ahead of the French Open that he was confident he would be cleared.

“At the end of the day, I do believe in the German system. I do believe in the truth, as well. I have to be certain that I do know what I did, I do know what I didn’t do,” he said. “That’s, at the end of the day, what’s going to come out, and I have to trust in that. You know, everything else is out of my hands. Not out of my hands, but I do believe that I’m not going to lose (in court). There’s absolutely no chance I am.”

Zverev said after his quarterfinal match Wednesday that “everything is going OK from my side and from my point of view.”

WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR IN THE TRIAL?

The trial bega n Friday at the court in central Berlin but much of what has taken place so far has been closed to the media and the public.

The district court has planned for 10 days of hearings in total on non-consecutive days through to July 19, according to dpa. That would stretch through the entire span of the French Open and Wimbledon and into the build-up for the Olympic tennis tournament, which Zverev won in 2021 .

It is not yet clear how many, if any, of those days Zverev may be required to attend.

WHAT IS ZVEREV’S STATUS ON TOUR?

The ATP Tour and Grand Slam tournaments, like the French Open, do not have a policy that would bar players accused of domestic abuse and there are no restrictions on which events Zverev can play.

Tournament director Amelie Mauresmo said keeping Zverev out of the field while his case was pending was not an option.

“As long as the trial isn’t finished, and there isn’t a decision, he’s considered innocent, and so that’s why he’s allowed to be part of the draw,” Mauresmo said last week. “As far as the tournament is concerned, we are not going to comment on anything, because the trial is happening.”

Zverev was elected by other players in January to serve a two-year term on the ATP Player Advisory Council, which offers policy recommendations to the ATP’s management and board of directors.

This week, a tour spokesperson referred back to an ATP statement issued in January: “We are aware of the upcoming legal trial involving Alexander Zverev, and will not be commenting until that process is complete.”

Asked following his quarterfinal match Wednesday whether he had considered that he might be prevented from playing the French Open by anyone in tennis, he said: “No. Why? There’s no reason.”

HOW HAS GERMANY REACTED?

Zverev, who was born in Hamburg to Russian parents, is by far Germany’s highest-ranked player in men’s or women’s tennis and one of the country’s best-known sports competitors.

The trial so far not been front-page news in Germany, where legal proceedings are not televised and there is typically less detailed day-by-day reporting from trials than in some other countries such as the United States. German-language news stories about Zverev’s recent matches in Paris often do not mention the trial.

In sports news, Germany is focused on hosting the upcoming European Championship in men’s soccer, arguably taking some of the attention away from Zverev’s run at the French Open.
