Tim McGraw has been a country music powerhouse for more than three decades and has earned 10 No. 1 albums and 26 chart-topping singles to his name on the Billboard country charts. Married to fellow singer Faith Hill , the superstar played a major role in the explosion of country music’s popularity in the ’90s along with the likes of George Strait , Trisha Yearwood , Kenny Chesney and others.

In March 2024, McGraw will embark on his Standing Room Only Tour in support of his 2023 album of the same name, joined by special guest Carly Pearce . The North American trek kicks off March 14 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida and will hit 45 dates in cities like Nashville, Boston, Kansas City, Atlanta and Los Angeles before wrapping June 29 at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center .

Meet Timothy Wayne: Tim McGraw’s 21-Year-Old Nephew And His Newest Opening Act

The LSU student will be one of the opening acts for six dates on McGraw's Standing Room Only Tour.

Timothy Wayne is going to have the best stories when he returns to campus at Louisiana State University in the fall. Fresh off securing his first major record deal, the 21-year-old country musician is spending a chunk of his summer on tour with his uncle, Tim McGraw .

Wayne will be one of the opening acts for six dates on McGraw's Standing Room Only Tour . The rising college junior will perform in Philadelphia on June 20; Baltimore on June 21; Raleigh, North Carolina, on June 22; Phoenix on June 27; Los Angeles on June 28; and Sacramento, California, on June 29.

"I'm the baby act," Wayne told The Advocate , explaining that he will take the stage first, followed by main opener Carly Pearce .

The Franklin, Tennessee, native told the newspaper that he wasn’t even looking for a record deal with UMG Nashville came knocking a few months ago. 

“I was at the point in my life where college had pretty much taken everything over. I was writing a lot. I was playing a few shows, but I wasn't really looking to expand beyond that quite yet," Wayne said. "I stepped in for some friends at the Bluebird Cafe and did a couple of songs and a video made its way to UMG—and things kind of just blossomed from there.”

"Then everything kind of ended up where it's at now,” he continued, “which I'm extremely blessed and grateful to be having these experiences.”

Those experiences are quickly piling up. In May, Wayne released his first major label track debut, “God Made A Country Boy.” The upbeat anthem celebrates the lessons he learned growing up in the Tennessee countryside.

“I grew up working on our family farm in the summers, working in the fields, bush hogging, mowing, taking care of the horses, and I loved it,” Wayne said in a statement. “It taught me a lot about responsibility. It was tough work, but a more simplistic way of life. My parents made a point of teaching me (and my siblings) about respecting others, standing up for beliefs and having manners. And, if you disagree with someone, you can still be respectful toward them. When I heard this song, I really liked the idea behind it and knew I wanted to record it because it really showcases who I am as a person.”
