About The Masterplan

What is the role of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Masterplan?

What are the key elements of the journey through time masterplan.

• From old town in the south to Hegra Historical city in the north, five districts, spanning the 20km heart of AlUla and shaped by the site’s natural and cultural heritage, will serve as waypoints on the Journey Through Time. AlUla Old Town (District 1); Dadan (District 2); Jabal Ikmah (District 3); Nabataean Horizon (District 4) and Hegra Historical City (District 5).
• The districts will focus on a key heritage site while they will all be crossed by the AlUla’s ancient oasis. A 9km portion constituting the heart of the Cultural Oasis would be fully rejuvenated, starting with its heart located in AlUla Old Town District. 
• Fifteen new cultural assets including museums, galleries and cultural centres will serve as landmarks across each district.
• A 20km long public realm – the Wadi of Hospitality, which runs along the bed of the ancient oasis – will connect the five Districts and act as the green pedestrian-friendly ‘spine’ of the Journey Through Time.
• A 46km low-carbon tramway will also connect AlUla International Airport to the five districts of the Journey Through Time, while the scenic road - as well as bicycle, equestrian and pedestrian trails - will promote a smooth and experiential approach to mobility.
• The wadi and the tramway will follow the route used by pilgrims on the Hijaz Railway for many centuries before, ensuring a memorable visual and interpretive experience of the transition from oasis to desert. 
• Adding a total of 5,000 additional room keys into the targeted 9,400 keys by 2035, each district will offer its own tailored blend of living and hospitality options ranging from hotels and eco-tourism resorts to luxury lodges and canyon farms carved into the sandstone rocks.
• The Kingdoms Institute, a flagship component of the plan, will be a global hub for archaeological knowledge and research dedicated to the cultures and civilisations that have inhabited this area for more than 7,000 years, including the ancient kingdoms of Dadan and Lihyan and the Nabataeans, who built the city of Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
• Through research and innovative solutions from water management to irrigation and land use, the replenishment of the Cultural Oasis will be a key element of the Journey Through Time Masterplan. The most intense regeneration efforts will focus on the 9km heart of the ancient oasis – the ‘green lung’ of AlUla connecting Old Town, Dadan and Jabal Ikmah – and will trigger a major expansion of AlUla’s green and open spaces; up to 10 million square meters, making the Journey Through Time Masterplan the world’s largest cultural oasis regeneration project.

The Journey Through Time Masterplan is the first in a series of plans for AlUla and constitutes the first and most important part of AlUla’s development.

It will be implemented in 3 phases until 2035. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in 2023 and will aim at providing a continuous visitor-centric experience; an experience based on the implementation of overall connector projects such as the Wadi of Hospitality; which acts as the route into the Journey Through Time; and a series of district-based projects which will significantly enhance the singular character of each district as an integrated experience of a Cultural Landscape.

A Journey Through Time (German: Eine Reise durch die Zeit )   is a book written by H.G. Tannhaus some time betweeen 1953 and 1986, published by Mino Taurus . It is a scientific study on time and explores things like time travel , the sun-moon cycle and the nature of wormholes . It is first introduced in " Lies " when the stranger comes into the room after the shower and looks at the book on which lies a strange key.

It is shown many times during the show and serves the purpose of catalyzying a character's interest in time travel. It's also a narration device, the book's synopsis is the monologue by Tannhaus at the beginning of the first episode, and it also contains theories surrounding time travel that apply to the story.

On the front cover of the book, there is an upside down Penrose Triangle. On the back cover of the book, a following blurb is written:

" Wir vertrauen auf den linearen, ewig gleichförmigen Verlauf der Zeit - bis in die Unendlichkeit. Aber die Unterscheidung zwischen Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft ist nichts als eine Illusion ."

(English translation: "We trust in the linear, forever the same shape of the past, until eternity. But the diffrences between the past, presence and future are nothing illusion.")

Free Lecture to Track ‘Journey Through Time and Space’

Chimney Rock Interpretive Association (CRIA) invites the public to a free lecture given by Dr. John Kappelman on Tuesday, June 11. The lecture will take place at 7:00pm at the Archuleta County CSU Extension Building Exhibit Hall located at 344 HWY 84 in Pagosa Springs. 

Join us as Dr. Kappelman discusses, “Tracking Humans from Africa to the Four Corners: A journey through time and space.” This lecture will trace human evolution, from the last common ancestors of humans and apes, thru the evolution of Homo sapiens, to their dispersal out of Africa thru Europe and Asia, into the Americas and the Four Corners, and the origins of the Ancestral Puebloans. Doors open at 6:45pm and a Q & A period will follow the lecture.

John Kappelman was born and raised in Idaho. He received a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University, an M.A. in Anthropology and Ph.D. in Anthropology and Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University. John served for 35 years as a professor in the Departments of Anthropology and Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. The primary focus of his research is human origins and evolution. He has worked around the world and runs current field projects in Kenya and Ethiopia.

Prof. Kappelman recently retired to Pagosa Springs on a ranch he has owned for the past 20 years, and he continues his association with UT Austin as Professor Emeritus.

CRIA’s free Lecture Series offer the opportunity each year for the public and CRIA volunteers to enjoy a speaker whose topic typically relates to southwest archaeology, archaeoastronomy and/or Chacoan culture. Donations accepted.

CRIA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that offers interpretive programs at Chimney Rock National Monument in partnership with the USDA Forest Service and the San Juan National Forest. Annual Disability Statistics Collection

The Annual Disability Statistics Compendium, Annual Report on People With Disabilities, the Build Your Own Statistics tool, and infographics gather disability statistics published by many federal agencies into one place. They’re helpful for lawmakers and others who are working on laws or policies about disabilities, and for those writing grants for programs for people with disabilities.

There are many new changes to the Annual Disability Statistics Collection this year. The HTML version of the Compendium is now accessible and downloadable. Both online and downloaded versions of the Compendium can be read by screen readers. We updated the tables in the Compendium to include more measures of accuracy, and rounded estimates to the nearest thousandths to make the tables easier to read. Instead of publishing the Supplement, this year we made an online tool where you can Build Your Own Statistics.

Apple TV+ has carved out a solid space for itself in the streaming landscape since its 2019 launch and it continues to go head-to-head with giants like Netflix , Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ , Max , and Hulu  by offering a compelling alternative for movie, TV series, and even live sports fans.

At just $10 per month, Apple TV+ remains one of the cheapest video streaming services available. Here’s everything you need to know.

Apple TV+ is one of the more affordable streaming services, costing $10 a month. That’s $13 cheaper than Netflix’s top-tier Premium subscription. If you’re willing to sit through ads, though, the ad-supported plans of Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and Disney Plus are all cheaper.

Sports fans can get their fix from Apple TV+ as well. The monthly price includes MLB’s Friday Night Baseball, which continues to air its weekly double-header. MLS soccer fans, however, have to add-on the MLS Season Pass at $15 per month.

Apple also maintains a pretty aggressive acquisition model for Apple TV+. Anybody can try it free for seven days, or you can get three months for free with the purchase of any eligible iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV device, or Mac. You just have to remember to redeem the offer within 90 days of purchase.

Additionally, if you haven’t already signed up, you can get a one-month free trial as part of an Apple One subscription, but be aware that the prices for these bundles (that include services such as Fitness+, Arcade, News+, and iCloud storage) have also gone up.

Naturally, Apple TV+ is available on all modern Apple hardware , including all iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices capable of running the latest operating systems, the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, and third-generation Apple TVs. You can access Apple TV+ via web browsers such as Safari, Chrome, or Firefox.

The Apple TV+ app is available on Smart TVs from Samsung, Vizio, LG, Sony, and Hisense. You can also get the app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, or Google TV streaming devices , as well as on PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One, Series X, or Series S consoles.

As we alluded to above, there are several ways to get Apple TV+ for free , whether you’re a first-time Apple device owner or a long-time Apple fan. Either way, here are the basic steps for getting in on the streaming service.

Step 1: Head to  and select the Start free trial button. It’s easiest to do on a desktop browser, but you can do this on pretty much any device.

Step 2: Sign in with your Apple ID (or create one first, if necessary).

Step 3: If you haven’t already set this up with your Apple ID, you may have to enter your credit card information. Once this is done, click Confirm .

Step 4: You’re done. You should be able to start watching immediately, but you might have to sign in on any of the devices you’re using to watch.

Note: Keep in mind, though, that with the free trial, and with most free trials, once the term is over, it will automatically renew, charging you the $10 per month fee thereafter. If you find that it’s not for you, y ou may want to cancel it before it’s too late.

All Apple TV+ originals are optimized to support 4K HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and most also support Dolby Atmos sound . And if you have an Apple TV 4K you can combine it with a compatible pair of headphones (such as AirPods Max , AirPods Pro (first or second gen), AirPods 3, or Beats Fit Pro) to experience Apple’s immersive Spatial Audio 3D sound with head-tracking. Many Apple TV+ supports up to six simultaneous streams across one subscription, and up to six family members can create their own profiles using their own Apple login credentials. Mac, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users can also download Apple TV+ content to watch offline.

What’s the difference between Apple TV Plus and Apple TV?

This is an unfortunate naming snafu that has confused people for years, but to put it simply, Apple TV is a streaming device , also known as a set-top box, that you connect to your TV to access content in much the same way that you would with a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick. The device itself allows you to access several streaming services by installing their apps, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, and, of course Apple TV+, which is also a streaming service in and of itself.

How many profiles can be created with Apple TV+?

Apple TV+ lets you create up to six user profiles so everyone can have their own viewing histories and the algorithm can serve up tailored content to each individual.

Can and Apple TV+ subscription be shared with my family?

Of course. Apple allows you to use Family Sharing to share your subscription with up to five other family members (six in total).

Can Apple TV+ be accessed on other devices?

Yes, the Apple TV+ app, similarly to other apps such as Netflix or Disney+, can be downloaded and installed on other streaming devices such as Roku (through its Channel Store), Fire TV Stick , Google TV and Chromecast, and even video game consoles.

Is Apple TV+ content available in 4K?

Darn right it is. All of Apple TV Plus’ content, such as movies and TV series, is all presented in 4K resolution, but you will need a 4K TV to view it.
