Get Away the Right Way, with affordable all-inclusive ski and snowboard trips! OvRride takes you to the best mountains in the New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont and internationally.

Led by New York’s most experienced snow industry veterans, the OvRride team helps riders and skiers escape NYC with all-inclusive ski trip packages to the mountains of Belleayre, Hunter, Mountain Creek, Windham, Mount Snow, Killington, Stratton, Sugarbush, Stowe, Colorado, Tahoe, Utah, Europe, Japan and South America.

Bellearye Mountain NYC Snow Bus

For the first time since 2019, sourced adventures is gonna take you back to the catskills with this nyc ski bus.

This winter, let Sourced Adventures whisk you away to a shiny new destination. Hop on our NYC ski bus and head to Belleayre Mountain! Touted as the highest elevation resort in the Catskills, Belleayre has a legacy of slopes so dope that people would camp out in tents just to be the first to make their mark on fresh fall (did we mention that was before chair lifts???)

Yup. Hiking. Up a mountain. With skis. In the snow. 🤯

Don’t worry, Belleayre has more than kept up with the times: Their high-speed gondola is capable of sailing 2,000 people an hour up to the summit. Add a few quad lifts to the mix and you have a recipe for less time in line and more time on the mountain! Whether you’re into long cruising trails, playing in the parks & glades, or bombing down steeps (did we hear something about a 1,404 drop!?), there is plenty of terrain to go around for all levels of experience.

Multiple ticket packages available whether it’s baby’s first snow bus (lessons anyone?) or you’re a seasoned, gear-toting, black-diamond shredder: We got you!

Please note that all rentals require everyone in your party to fill out a rental form prior to the day of the trip. We’ll send it to you after purchase.

Fun Fact! – Belleayre is managed by the Olympic Regional Development Authority.

Enjoyable day at Belleayre Mountain

My favourite ny ski bus.

customer review photo

I’m a beginner, is the trip suitable for me?

Absolutely! Belleayre Mountain has a variety of green trails (beginner slopes)!

What time do we leave and get back?

Pick-ups commence around 6:00am and you should get back to the city around 7/8pm- depending on traffic!

What do I need to pack?

  • Ski Clothes or warm layers. It’s important to bundle up for skiing and to wear waterproof clothing. Ski pants and ski jackets are ideal. Don’t have ski clothes? You can rent clothing in advance.
  • Snacks for the road. It’s an early morning, so make sure you bring some breakfast with you for the bus ride up, and snacks for the ride home.
  • Water bottle. Always important to stay hydrated throughout the day!
  • Phone charger. Your phone will drain a good amount of battery for the day, so make sure you have a charger in case of any emergencies.
  • Skis and Snowboard IF you have your own. We have plenty of room under the bus if you want to bring your own gear.
  • Spare Change. Skiing burns A LOT of calories, meaning you’ll be hungry at some point during the day. Bring some cash or credit along so you can refuel on food at the lodge or treat yourself to a beer.

Can I drive myself?

Unfortunately, driving yourself is prohibited. We do this for logistical and liability reasons.

Can I bring my kids on the trip?

Unfortunately, no. This is an 18+ trip.

ski bus trips long island

Anyone who shares Derek Markovic’s love of winter sports is welcome to join him on a five-hour trek from Riverhead to a ski resort.

For the 2023 winter season, the Manorville native developed the Island Snow Bus program to transport Long Island skiers and snowboarders to winter resorts throughout the snowy northeast.

“The idea is almost like a Hampton Jitney, but instead of going from the city to the beach, you’re going from Long Island up to a ski mountain,” Markovic said. “All the trips at this point are just day trips, we leave in the morning and come back in the evening.”

The Island Snow Bus’ itinerary boasts trips to resorts upstate New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Pennsylvania. Tickets for trips currently listed cost $209 – save for a $269 trek to Vermont’s Stratton Mountain Resort – and include lift tickets. Season pass holders strictly seeking transport may purchase a ticket to ride for $129.

Before the crack of dawn, chartered buses will depart from the parking lot in Riverheads’ Tanger Outlets boasting West Elm, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn storefronts. Once the bus arrives at the resort and Markovic hands out the lift tickets, everyone is free to roam wherever they please; those best suited for the bunny slope need not fear being dragged to the black diamond.

Let it snow

For Markovic, skiing is a lifelong passion.

He enjoyed ski trips with friends throughout junior high and high school, then ramped up his efforts throughout his twenties. In 2010, he developed the Brooklyn Ski Bus, a similar concept to his Island Snow Based, but based out of the city. While he wanted to continue the concept, his career, recovery from pericarditis and the COVID-19 pandemic prohibited him.

Now that he rekindled the idea with Island Snow Bus, mother nature is delaying his efforts.

“We tried to start a couple of weeks ago and we still haven’t run a trip yet for the season,” he said. “The conditions have been awful so far.

“Usually by this point in January the snow base has accumulated to a pretty good level and most of the resorts have pretty good coverage, and if they haven’t got adequate natural stuff they can usually supplement it with artificial snow,” he continued. “But it’s just been warm and rainy and the windows they get for snow-making at night when it’s sufficiently cold just haven’t been there.”

Markovic hopes to run the Island Snow Bus Thursdays through Sundays throughout the winter. Tickets are currently available online for the following trips:

  • Jan 22 – Magic Mountain, VT
  • Jan 26 – Catamount, MA
  • Jan 27 – Stratton Mountain Resort, VT
  • Jan 28 – Elk Mountain, PA
  • Jan 29 – Jiminy Peak, MA

“We’re hoping next week some cold weather will return and they’ll get enough artificial snow on there to really open up substantial portions of all these places,” he said. “Right now mother nature is working against us a little bit.”

Island Snow Bus

Where and When To Catch The Bus

We have four stops. The  Island Snow Bus line-run begins in the Tanger Mall in Riverhead, in the parking lot in front of Williams Sonoma, West Elm, and another store where the fancy people shop. We think it's called Pottery...something or other. After this, we make stops at the Islandia Park and Ride (LIE Exit 58), the Melville Park and Ride (LIE Exit 49N), and Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn.

Huge bus. Can't miss us. We leave on time, because when it comes to schussing, we don't wait for stragglers. Set two alarms if you gotta. Don't oversleep!

Island Snow Bus Timetable

All trips originate from and return to the Tanger Mall in Riverhead.

The departure time listed next to each trip in the event calendar or in the List of Trips menu represents a trip's Riverhead departure time.

The event end time represents the approximate time the bus arrives back to Riverhead.

We leave all resorts at 4:30 p.m. for the trip home.

The hours listed next to each trip in the booking calendar (time windows like 4:30 AM-9:30 PM, for example) represents the time span for the entire trip from Riverhead>resort>return to Riverhead, making all stops in between.

For trips leaving Riverhead at 3:30 AM ( e.g.,Stratton, Magic Mountain, Bromley, Gore Mountain), the pickup schedule is:

Riverhead (Tanger): 3:30 AM

Islandia Park and Ride: 3:55 AM

Melville Park and Ride: 4:15 AM

Christopher Morley Park: 4:40 AM

For trips leaving Riverhead at 4:00 AM (e.g., Berkshire East), the pickup schedule is:

Riverhead (Tanger): 4:00 AM

Islandia Park and Ride: 4:25 AM

Melville Park and Ride: 4:45 AM

Christopher Morley Park: 5:10 AM

For trips leaving Riverhead at 4:30 AM (e.g., Jiminy Peak, Elk Mountain), the pickup schedule is:

Riverhead (Tanger): 4:30 AM

Islandia Park and Ride: 4:55 AM

Melville Park and Ride: 5:15 AM

Christopher Morley Park: 5:40 AM

For trips leaving Riverhead at 5:00 AM (e.g., Catamount), the pickup schedule is:

Riverhead (Tanger): 5:00 AM

Islandia Park and Ride: 5:25 AM

Melville Park and Ride: 5:45 AM

Christopher Morley Park:  6:10 AM

As mentioned, all trips depart the day's mountain destination at 4:30 p.m .

Here are some helpful maps:

Tanger Mall is the origin of all of our trips.  It is the Sun in the Island Snow Bus solar system, even has gravitational pull and the whole bit.

Our first stop is the L.I.E. Exit 58 Park and ride in Islandia. All buses stop here approximately 25 minutes after leaving Riverhead. Refer to the above timetable for resort-specific times.

The second stop is the Melville Park and Ride off of L.I.E. Exit 49N. For departures, all stops occur here approximately 45 mins after we leave Riverhead. Riverhead departure times are the start times found under in Calendar or List of Trips menus or in the above timetable. For example, if a trip to Stratton is listed in the calendar as 3:30 AM - 9:30 PM, this is the entire span of time the trip occupies from the time the bus leaves Riverhead until the time it returns to Riverhead the same evening.

Christopher Morley Park is the final pickup on the way up to the skiing and snowboarding.
