Product Description

The Honeywell Voyager 1200G single-line hand-held laser barcode scanner is ivory in color, has a laser and a USB cable to connect to the host system, comes with a stand, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. The barcode reader can be held in the hand or placed in the stand for fixed position use. A 700 milliwatt (mW) laser produces a single line of light that can scan barcodes at a resolution of 3.5 mm and a speed of up to 100 scans per second in continuous mode. A CodeGate setting allows the scan line to be visible but prevents barcode data from being transmitted until a button is pushed to help reduce accidental scans. The barcode reader's USB cable can be plugged into the USB port of a computer or another host system (sold separately) to transmit barcode data. The handle has a finger groove for comfort. A rubber mold helps protect the recessed button from impacts. The barcode reader's circuit board has been shock-mounted to resist impacts. The glass window resists scratches. This product weighs 125 g (4.4 oz.) and measures 180 x 97 x 66 mm/7.1 x 3.8 x 3.0 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It can withstand 30 drops of up to 1.5 m on a concrete floor. For a complete set of product specifications, please see the manufacturer's brochure .

Barcode scanners, also known as barcode readers, can be used to scan and decode barcodes and to transmit barcode data to a computer or another host system. Barcode readers with a single-line laser can be used to scan linear, one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. Some lasers can produce light in an omnidirectional pattern to allow scanning of barcodes from different angles. Other barcode readers contain CCD (charge-coupled device) light sensors instead of a laser for accuracy and wear resistance. Barcode scanners with raster scanning, area imaging, and other scanning technologies can allow scanning of two-dimensional (2D) or Portable Document Format 417 (PDF417) barcodes, among other types. Some barcode readers provide onboard flash memory to allow the storage of barcode data before transmitting it to a computer or host system through a USB cable or wireless WLAN or Bluetooth connection. Many barcode readers have a handle for handheld use and come with a stand or a charging cradle for fixed position applications, while others are designed for stationary use on a counter or another flat surface. Some portable readers are small enough to be carried in a pocket or attached to a lanyard. Barcode readers are used at retail checkout counters and other points of sale (POS) locations and in warehouses and shipping facilities.

Note : The In-Stand Sensor feature only applies to tethered scanners, like  Xenon   1900  and  Voyager 145X  products, it is not supported in the  Granit  series of Industrial Scanners. Streaming Presentation Mode can be programmed  (Normal, Enhanced, or Mobile Phone) for in-stand scanning, and a Manual Trigger mode (Normal, Enhanced, or Mobile Phone) for out-of-stand scanning. For this configuration, the preferred Streaming Presentation mode needs to be scanned for for in-stand functionalities, then Manual Trigger mode needs to be scanned for out-of-stand functionalities. There is a mistake in the Xenon User Guide saying that the Xenon 1902g and Xenon XP 1952g do support the In-Stand feature, but this is an error and will be corrected with the next releases for the User Guide. Please accept our apologizes. Related functionality for  Cordless   1902/1452  products, but this pertains to base or cradle (which is not the same as stand).

  • BT_PIB is Presentation in Base, used for the Voyager 1452g and the Xenon 1902, if set to BT_PIB1. and the scanner is placed in the base, the scanner will switch to Presentation Mode. Default = 0!

rtaImage.jfif

  • BT_SIC is to disable the ability to scan while seated in the charge and communication cradle a.k.a base. (default this is enabled BT_SIC1)
